Are nords overperforming?

Seems like a lot of people tanks even healers are going for tanks? There's also talks of medium amour tanks with complete alkoash and powerful assault. Will this be good for game in King run?

Whichever team has more werewolves usually wins, and you can straight up murder most players with just light attacks.

(in the 1-49 bracket) Scale back the auto attack damage by -30% and bleed damage by -40%, adjust the self heal by -20% and that should do it.

The Order of the Star is recruiting friendly people who enjoy helping others and being social - we're a social guild after all! We have members in Australia, the US and other areas of the world, so we're active regardless of the timezone! We have over 300 members at the moment (it varies, depending on the day) of all races and factions. We're noob AND vet friendly, have a very active guild chat, and are often doing guild PVE activities like public or group dungeons, world bosses and trials, and some of us are jumping into Cyrodiil for PVP activities too. We use Discord for forum-type information and discussions as well as for voice chat, and we have a weekly raffle for members to win prizes while helping the guild raise funds to purchase furnishings for the guild house (Earthtear Cavern).

We're a family friendly guild (we're a swearing-free zone), and all ages are welcome. We have rules available in Discord that encourage members to be respectful and supportive while having a good time, and we don't hesitate in quickly removing any 'bad eggs'. New members are encouraged to join Discord to read our rules and stay up to date with guild announcements and information, and we also remove members if they haven't logged in to the game in 21 days, so our guild is always active. Our goal is to have fun, and we do pretty well at that.

A bit of background... I used to be a beta tester back in 2014, but left the game soon after it went live because of all the bugs and bots. I came back after a few months when I heard they'd been resolved and eventually formed a RP guild called the Crusaders of the Seventh. After a while I took a break from the game for almost a year, and came back again in October 2016. I built the guild up again from nothing (kicking out most of the 40-odd inactive members) but focused on it being a social guild instead. Early 2017, after a week of guild discussion and voting, we changed our name and became the Order of the Star.

We're proud of who we are. We wear our guild tabards with pride. And we have a vision for our future, to be one of the best social guilds of friendly, supportive and active players in all of Tamriel.

Harden ward got buffed last patch and now enables broken builds.

I had a hard time beliving this my self at first until it was shown to me. ZOS actually buffed harden ward to a point that you can make the tankiest dps builds ever on this. Yes you cannot really shield stack anymore but the shield you are getting now is extremely tough to break if your toon is build correctly. I duelled one of these build and couldn’t believe it; My NB 4k weap dmg with 10k pen 56% crit chance and 80% crit dmg could not touch this guys health and he had no problem killing me. Tehn to test I brought a damage dk tank with 30k resistance accross the board and still it took the guy under 10 seconds to kill me.
I might be not the best pvp but I consider myself pretty good as I can effectively 1vx and win most duells. That guy however was a low rank casuall pvper just running a broken build. He coulnd even animation cancel correctly. So why is this possible? It shouldnt be....
I really dont mind if shields are op but it should not be so easy to recast. After last patch you now have 3 types of mag sorcs, the ones that cant handle the last patch and who now die instantly, pets sorcs who are a whole other issue besides the facts named, and then these unkillable dps sorcs that hit like a truck. It is just a matter of time for them other sorcs to figure this build out. Also they will get even more buffs this coming patch due to race and cp changes.
I would suggest to make them a lot more costly and/ or increase costs on recasts.

So Khajiit coming is last/second last with 4.3.3 tests while Dunmer is coming 2nd in everything

I apologise if this topic has been done to death, I didn’t find much on it when I did a search.

Is there any chance of a player home becoming available in Orsinium itself? The actual city? That could be bought with gold instead of crowns? Even if it’s just an inn room. We have one each in Vivec City and Alinor. Why not have one in Orsinium too?

In what situations would someone pick Altmer over Breton?

Looking at the latest DPS tests, the two are pulling virtually identical numbers (the difference being +/- 0.001-0.7%). Variance in the data is greater than any real differences.

Under those margins, why would anyone ever pick Altmer over Breton?

Group DPS: Breton = Altmer
Solo DPS: Breton > Altmer
Sustain: Breton > Altmer
Survivability: Breton > Altmer

SnB Shield enchant changes?

I'm looking to see if there can be work done on adding new enchants for shields. With the upcoming changes to 1-hander enchants forcing tanks who were not already back-baring a 2-hander to swap over to that setup in order to keep up a high Crusher proc, I'm seeing a bit of an issue. The constant bar swapping between SnB and 2-Hander makes the enchant on your shield useless, since every time you swap you lose the shield enchants resources because all you can enchant at this moment are Health, Mana, and Stam. Now I understand throwing in proc on block enchants would be hard to implement right away, but could we see about using some of the Jewel-crafting enchants on shields, like the Magica or Health recovery ones. Some of the old quest reward shields used to come with these enchants on them like the Grevious Leeching Ward so it shouldn't be to hard to implement I would think. Any thoughts?

To Hot, To Cold, you could lose health and die. Need to eat and drink. Need to sleep aka use sleep emote or use a bed. As a Vampire you need to drink blood, or start to starve
This system would be based on realism. Say 21 ingame days and nights and you die from starvation. Three days without drinking and you dehydrate.Go without sleep and it debuffs for too long and it debuffs you reduces experiance gains, go 11 days without sleep and you die. Only to be reformed with a clean state after dying. Since you are after all a soul shriven. Vampires their food and drink requirements would be based on blood and not feeding for too long can risk you having an rng chance of feeding on a random justice npc. If your crossheirs are on them and when not attacking innocent npcs option is off would cause you to feed on them unwillingly. Since not having blood won't really kill vampires, not eatting and drinking would not kill them. But they risk the chance of not being able to hold back their thirst.

This system would be adjustable and also optional, I am sure some might be against it do to performance. But then it might not do much to effect it. Even if it does a little. What this would do is make things much more immersive. Without being to much of a pain. It would go good with the provisioning system, and the outfits/costumes system along with the housing system. Not only making it so you have to fight against powerful forces, but also have to take care of ones health and preparing for the weather and climates.


So to recap what this would do is make these things important.
Food and Drink requirement to keep healthy or risk death if you don't eat or drink. Optional
Sleeping requirement debuffing you if you don't and killing you if you go without it for too long. Optional
The need to bath going to long without keeping clean can increase prices for items or make npcs refuse to talk with you. Optional
Being prepared for the elements or risk succumbing. Optional
Unable to use wayshrines as fast travel hardcore mode and custom mode as optional.

Vampires have to feed or risk attacking innocent npcs. So the chance would go up every ten ingame days, so ten days without feeding 25 percent, chance, 15 days, 50 percent chance, 20 days 75 percent chance. 25 days 100 percent chance.

Hot environments, you would need to drink water to keep cooldown and wear less clothing. Using ice warden abilties will keep you cooled down as well.
Cold Environments you to dress warm in either warm light armor or a warm costume.
Camp Fires and fires will warm you up, using dragon knight abilties will also keep you warm.

There would be three preset settings with the option of customizing it and then the off settings.

Hardcore would be, you cannot fast travel, you will die from the elements if exposed for too long, have to eat and drink, sleep and bath. Bathing would be just jumping into a river or ocean or bathtub furnishing or being under a waterfall. You have to feed as a vampire or risk attacking innocents. Attack innocents must be on.
Moderate would be like hard core you will die from the elements, still need to eat, drink and you die if you don't for too long but with the normal wayshrine travel still activated. Must feed as a vampire or risk attacking innocents.
Softcore, not eating and drinking and being exposed for too long in the elements will cause debuffs but it would not kill you and you have the option of fast traveling. from being exposed to the elements but you won't die. You won't feed on the innocent but you get debuffs for not feeding.
Custom would allow you to change things to be the type of survival mode you want it to be.
Off would be where you are not using survival mode at all.

I super love the design of these adorable guys! Antlered, feathered creatures with a completely free to earn method sound great to me! I adore the way they sound, and their many forms, but I see a lot that some don’t seem to like them. Would love some in depth explanations as to why or why not you like the indriks!

Spell Recharge: How to make it useful without affecting Parses

There is a way how the Spell Recharge passive can still be made somewhat useful in both PvE and PvP without affect the parse DPS:

Change the 5% damage mitigation component so that you gain 5% reduced damage take for 6 secs every time you use a class ability.

This is in line with the current design of the passive and does not affect the DPS. Furthermore, the damage reduction is not that strong that it is game breaking in either PvE or PvP - in fact it is of a similar magnitude to what Bretons get. While Bretons get 8% damage reduction against spell damage, Altmers get 5% damage reduction against both spell and weapon damage. I know it is not half of 8%, but as ZOS stated: hybrids get a little bit extra to compensate.

I am also aware that the 5% damage reduction is pretty much meaningless in PvE most of the time. However, since ZOS seems to think that giving Altmers magicka regen, cost reduction, or penetration will increase their DPS putting Altmers ahead of other races and will thus not grant any of these to Altmers, this change is a nice compromise to at least get something that can be useful. It might save your life in a boss fight or put less stress on the healers. And unlike the current 5% damage mitigation passive, it is universally useful to all classes - not just templars.

initially I had tried to kick off the conversation with questions on a bunch of random topics...

love to fight, carry scrolls, gank, defend, attack, pour oil on folks, repair keep walls til your fingers bleed - this is your thread...

love hearing big and little battle stories, as well as observations concerning the interaction between the alliances in this campaign - who doesn't love a good bridge fight...

big IC fan...at this point i wanna apologize right now for anything weird or crazy i may have done in IC (or for any future stuff)...I'm pretty laid back in cyro - IC has a way of getting me fired up on occasion...

hmmmmm, is it really true cyro reveals whom you want to be, and, IC reveals who you truly are...

For me it's really disappointing that every profession in this game got some love except fishing.
From time to time I like to stay alone on a lake and just fishing with soft music in the background
but I can't say that i really enjoy fishing in ESO ... sadly.

So here are a few ideas I got while fishing~

Location
Fishing should be possible everywhere
*You only fish white fishes for Provisioning

Fishing in swarms (Fishing Hole)
*You have a chance to catch fishes for Achievements

Saltwater / River / Lake / Foul
*no changes

New Fishes
Epic Fishes
Every type of water on every map gets a new Epic Fish for a new achievement
*Only catchable in fishing holes

Memento: Enchanted Fishing Rod

Reduces the fishing time by 50% for 10 minutes - 1 hour

Legendary Fisher of Tamriel
Skin: Fish

You morph into a fish while swimming, swimming speed is increased by 20%

Skill Line
Every time you caught a fish you get XP for this skill line.
Achievement fishes give a higher amount of XP depending on the grade.

Keen Eye - Fishing Hole (1-3): Fishing holes in the world will be easier to see when you are 20/30/40 meters or closer.
Fisher Hireling(1-3): A fisher hireling will send you fishes and possibly other items every day (include Baits, Calm Gall, Perfect Roe) etc.
*Bait Return(1-3): You have a chance of 10/20/30% that no bait will be consumed while fishing
Fillet Master(1-3): You have a 10% chance to fillet an extra fish (Plentiful Harvest - The Lover CP)
Delicious Roe(1-3): Increase the chance to fillet Perfect Roe by 0,5/1/1,5%.
Light as a feather - You are able to walk on water
*While Light as a feather is skilled, Legendary Fisher of Tamriel Morph/Mount can't be used.

Why!?
I do not understand why fishing is excluded. Fishing is by far the most hated profession in this game.
Execlude fishing in such events makes it even less popular. I wish this profession would get more love!

ZOS! What happens to MagNB?

A little bit about me: I play MagNB for a very long time, almost 3000 hours, I created many builds for it, became emperor, participated in tournaments, etc. And I noticed that in addition to the fans of the class, nobody plays on it.

But now I have come to the conclusion that this is the weakest class in pvp, and now I will tell you why:

1) Vitality - the class does not have its own protection, it is tied to the presence of resto \ light armor. Passive healing is too weak to repel other classes if you are found.

He lacks an increase in healing from existing abilities and a new healing (for example, Morph Debilitate - absorbs the healing of an adversary and transfers it to you, like Eclipse)

2) Burst damage - MagNB has a burst 3 (!!!) times less than magsorc. Killing someone quickly without "Caluurion Legacy" is very difficult, except for Merciless Resolve, there is no burst! But it’s very easy to dodge an arrow and it accumulates for a long time.

Why is MagNB no other burst abilities?

Why is it not possible to get "Major Sorcery" out of combat?

3) Individual style - MagNB doesn’t have it; if you look at duel tournaments, you’ll see that he plays like sorc .... sorc without damage. It is even called "Half-Sorc".
In all respects, Sorc is superior to MagNB and many excellent PVP fighters have gone to Sorc and Templars.

4) Positioning - MagNB can not fight at a distance, because there is no long-range control and ult, but also cannot fight close up, because no survivability and easy to detect.

5) DK Wings - absolutely all MagNB long-range attacks - are projectiles (Impale, Merciless Resolve, Swallow Soul, Crippling Grasp), and DK reflects all of them, playing against them is almost impossible.
Maybe it is worth making some of them - not projectiles?

I understand that you are not interested in a class for which few fighters play .... but we exist. Hear? We exist!

first please fix the bow knockback, the fact I can take a stun and lose 3/4 of my health before I can break it is silly, leaves no counter play. second also could CCs have a cost increase at the moment range CC is been used as a new spammable there is no thought to it, just spam that CC for me a CC should be a tactical use, not a ability that hits hard and CC, pretty sure mag warden lost their stun because ZOS didn't want high damage abilities to stun, When your fighting vs a group all it is, snares and CC spam. please look into making CC a conscious use ability not a spammable. BTW this is mainly aimed at PC EU no CP. that's my whinge over @ZOS_BrianWheeler . thought for you new team maybe.

Racial passives are the complete wrong way to go about this.

Take a look around this forum with everyone arguing about which race should get which passives. People are basing their race choices on the passives available. No one is completely happy with the passives for any given race. As others have said, race should be a completely cosmetic choice...that way people can play the race they actually want to play. Sure, this might lead to a reduction in the "beast races"(or maybe not) but in reality...those races are rather rare outside of their zones anyway, so this would reflect the in-game reality rather well. People should just be able to choose whatever "character passives" they want(allow them choose whatever 3 they want), because regardless of what generalizations in expertise a given race has, there are always outliers...and as your character is a hero in the game...they are already an outlier. I for one am tired of trying to make my characters look halfway decent because the base race is one I am choosing strictly for their passives and would otherwise never play...it really makes no sense whatsoever that people are playing races they dont like just to get some passive or another...and then its even worse because the BIS DPS, tank, or healer is locked behind an alliance you may not have access to without buying the any race any alliance pack(not that I care about BIS anything myself, but many do) The whole system is completely stupid and no on is playing the game like they want because of it. The same holds true for class...class should be determined by 3 basic skill lines you pick....not picking a class because you like one particular skill line and hate the rest.

Time To Fix Heavy Armor Meta

Its time to do something about heavy armor builds with high damage, Players in 5-7 heavy shouldnt be able to take players in light or medium armor.

A great way to do this without effecting heavy armor healer? Add to battle spirit that every piece of heavy armor after 1 reduces spell and physical pen by 3k ish

At 3k reduced pen a player wearing 5 pc of heavy will be down 15k pen and thats the average amount of penetration you can get out of heavy armor build. They wont be able to kill anything, which is how TANKS SHOULD BE . Bleed and oblivion dmg might still be a problem but this should do a decent job of fixing things.

Heavy healers will be fine because pen doesnt effect heals
