Cyrodiil and game performance is at an all time low

This past week, performance in Cyrodiil has been the worst I can remember on PC EU. As soon as prime time hits (the only time I really get to play) skills stop working, other players seem to jump all over the place and I disconnect anytime a zerg is remotely in the area. Yesterday I logged in just before prime time and I was trying to ride past Arrius while it was under siege and I disconnected 3 times in a row, each time taking another 10 minutes to log back in. Needless to say I just quit for the evening instead of going back to that laggy nightmare.

I've been PvPing in Cyrodiil for a few years now and have mostly put up with the constant poor performance, but this week has just been so terrible it's passing the threshold of 'unplayable' for me. It's so frustrating because when this game works it's some of the most fun I've had PvPing in any game, and it's just so sad seeing it deteriorate slowly over the years without any real attempt to address the problem.

What makes matters worse is I can't even play BGs instead as the ridiculous 'Unable to queue' restriction ZoS placed on the group finder tool instead of fixing it prevents me from even trying (I know they've said they're planning to overhaul it, but that should have also been done years ago when the problems were first identified).

I don't PvE much but I've heard that since the Elsweyr patch these issues are also starting to affect PvE content now too. Just while leveling my necromancer (which is also poorly optimised and buggy) I've noticed delays in my skills from time to time. I can't even fathom how some players put up with the performance on Console, they must have the patience of saints.

Something really needs to be done about the server performance and fast, not next year, but this year before more of your playerbase just decide enough is enough...

See you all after the maintenance tomorrow where hopefully they'll fix some stuff... More likely the opposite, but one can dream...
