Leaderboard rewards and Loot RNG madness

Hi, possible wall of text ahead.

Since the B2P model we have seen an increased rng in loot drops. Not only the drop rates are lower than before the B2P model, now we get randomized traits in every gear (with the best traits being much lower chance than well-fitted), randomized pieces (restoration staffs for dps sets...) even loot timers, making farming known content almost useless (wtf ZOS).

With this situation, players have turned to the leaderboards. The problem is the leaderboard rewards have the same rng madness, defending dps weapons are the norm, sharpened inferno staffs are like unicorns... So players are doing the best rational answer, put as many alts in the leaderboards as possible. If the chances are low, increase your "dice rolls".

This brings another problems:

- Forces everyone to run outdated content (AA and Hel Ra could use a litle rework and upscalling) with outdated drops (btw, you get pices of the old sets almost in each boss, and in trash).

- Some guilds are putting legion of alts in the leaderboards, reducing efectivelly A LOT the spots avaiable in the leaderboards. I don't blame them, its the only rational answer if you want to ever get gear when the drops sucks. Even myself and my guild try with diferent degree of success (xD). This is happening too in maelstrom arena.

If we look this from the point of view of progress (what mmorpg are about), we have then some players getting multiple pieces of new gear (and complaining about bad traits and bad combinations) and a multitude with no real option to get better gear. How long will the people run AA, Hel Ra or SO if the loot is outdated and the leaderboard is closed even with decent runs? How long will top trial guild run MoL when they get white items and basically is an unrewarding experience? Even if you get into the leaderboard, the chances you get something goood are low.

As I see, this situation can alienate everyone, so here is my solution:

ZOS should spend some time in doing reasonable loot tables with reasonable drop rates. Stop sending alkosh reastorations staff or defending moondancer maces. This crap should not be in the loot tables, make at least 1 drop per run guaranteed. This way nobody would need 7 alts on the leaderboard (ive seen it), freeing spots for more people interested in high end pve keep progressing. Even not that group gorups would get an incentive to improve. I think the game has enought people interested in this content (even trade guilds try sometimes to run trials) to give them more love than a bone each 6 months.

TLDR
Bad RNG loot system pushes players to fill the laderboard with alts, removing the oportunity to progress to a lot of players, since the other way to get loot sucks anyway (running the content).
