Imperial physique set at battlegrounds... ZoS?

So, it looks like Imperial physique set will be the next sloads for battlegrounds, this is the second time i see this, so im posting this (cheater's account name @Gladiador'W ...coff ...coff) using the imperial physique set with the buff on at battlegrounds...
i hate this set so much and now people will start using it at battlegrounds, please fix (and ban coff.. coff..)

Since I just moved here from Kyne where our forum thread was always an entertaining read, I was pretty disapointed not to find similar thread for this campaign, just a couple of disjointed QQs. And so im starting one :)
This is to be a big cross-alliance chat, full of salt, drama and unlikely friendships!


And so, I'll start with few observations, from a point of expereinced PvPer, but newcomer in SS, EP side.
Current population during active hours seem to be into EP's favour, which is a bit unfortunate for a guy joining, since its always more fun to play underpopulated faction. Still I like that other 2 factions are active enough to not let EP dominate but instead keep pushing back and keep PvP going!

Campaign seems a bit worse in regards to nightcapping. What amazes me tho, is that it seem to be going on on all 3 alliances roughly in the same amount. EP capping few days at the end of evening, others later at night and in the morning.. Altough I'll never understand ppl taking scrolls from NPCs at 4am, i must say: if it doesnt kill the PvP enjoyment at primetime, go slaughter those NPCs! Show them who's best! :P

And finally, since im moving here along with a guild, Im interested to find out names and activity of other guilds playing in SS :) Ive met some EP ones alrdy but im interested in knowing what DC and AD groups we will be fighting.. so far we have seen a couple of good ones, and we are very much looking forward to wiping you after we settle in! :D

Im speechless, this is a solo parse, as much as you may say this player is very skilled, the dps gap between NB and ANY other class has reached ludicrous levels, not to mention their crazy sustain with what looks like blue food (lol), while most others struggle even with witchmother.

Props to the combat team, I barely see video parses from other classes anymore, since no one even bothers.

Mag-Sorcs are slow and debilitated in a PvP environment!

I've been wanting to address this for sometime now, in that mag-sorcs are simply not optimal class-builds at all compared to most others in this game. This is not an argument about either how OP or not they are, but really about how there is a struggle of time with mag-sorcs and casting abilities.

I started to notice this in last patch (Wolfhunter), where my Endless Fury, seems to have lost its instant cast. I tried it in PvE to see if maybe it was a lag issue, but honestly, there is a gap of time between cast and strike, that didn't exist before. Even with crystal frag procced, it seems to have a slight delay as well. Why are the devs creating pseudo-instant casts? If something is instant it should be immediate.

It is bad enough that more than 50% of sorc skills are long in cast time, but to create so many gaps in time, and to fail to compensate for things like extremely fast stam builds, with long-reaching gap closers and melee weapons that seem to reach beyond 8 meters, the magsorc is forced to stay out of the fight and can neither effectively fight unless they come out with an insta-execute from range. Everything seems faster than a mag-sorc in my experience. There seems to be a huge gap between mag-sorc and most other builds that seem to be able to execute multiple skills and attacks in the same window of time that it takes a mag-sorc to deliver even one attack or skill. Add shielding to the mix and you add even more time between attacks, for defense, and less time for offense (really the only way to survive PvP as mag-sorc is excessive shield stacking or health regen with little to no sustained damage).

I really enjoy longer fights, but it seems in PvP if you're not an elite player, you're forced to play something that has speed (stamina) and/or heavy damage (NBs/[mag]DKs), to even be a viable competitor. Mag-sorcs are basically designed to be on the damage side of support, like a healer without the heals. In a PvP fight they are slow AF.

Our group attacked farragut keep at a postern door that said 67%. The keep never flagged and we got the postern to 0% and the wall never came down and we couldn't get in. It was our bounty and we couldn't get it because of this glitch

I’m just curious on this. Obviously Zos knows the actual numbers.

For me I do them all, but that’s because they are free with a sub. I’d not buy them.

So do you actually use crowns to purchase them?

Is it intended that the Wolfhunter change to this ability "Standing within the area of effect now increases the Major Ward and Major Resolve effects by 50%." only applies on the bar which has Rune Focus slotted? Currently, on Xbox this is the case.

we have gone from actual 1v1 fights and a back and forth of balancing pressure, buffs, heals, resources, etc. to doing nothing but running away and dancing around till around 500 ult then burst.

btw if you have not messed around I might recommend something like a stam sorc or warden with balorgh, master axes, asylum 2h, and then any decent gear. its the current roll your face across the keyboard of the month.

Veteran Maelstrom Arena Feedback

So, I finally beat Vet Maelstrom Arena for the first time. I did this on a melee magicka DK and had absolute rough time, and probably would have saved myself some headache by rolling a force-pulsing magicka Sorc specifically for the arena. I was hoping to acquire an Inferno staff, but something told me I wouldn't have that much beginner's luck. Sure enough, hours and hours and hundreds of deaths later, I walked away with a crummy Maelstrom axe - a nice, giant "F**** YOU for your participation".

The idea of being entirely reliant on crappy RNG to acquire the Maelstrom weapon that you need for your build is such a massive flaw. Now, certain people can grind Vet Maelstrom Arena in record timing and that is fine, very impressive even, but Vet Maelstrom Arena is not grind-able content. It's not meant to be grind-able content. Players should not have to grind through this arena tens or hundreds of times in order to have a chance at acquiring the one Maelstrom weapon they can actually make use of. It's not rewarding content to grind, it's not fun, and there are enough players who have either a) started Vet Maelstrom and have given up completely on beating it, b) beat Vet Maelstrom once and never went back, c) Won't even go near it at all, to realize that RNG just does not for this arena.

If you're able to make it through this arena then there is no reason why you should not have your pick at which Maelstrom weapon you want from the chest, after all the hours and potions you've burned getting through it. Content that you need to grind is not "new", and it's not "refreshing", it's more of the same tedious crap, and in Vet Maelstrom's case it's just plain torture to expect people to grind through the hardest single-player content in the game for a chance at the weapon they want.

Having completed Vet Maelstrom for a crappy axe I can honestly say that I will not be setting foot in this arena again until Zenimax rethinks the Maelstrom weapon drop system, and it blows my mind that it has been this way for years despite constant feedback from the ESO community year after year that it's not acceptable as is. I can guarantee that if players who clear Maelstrom can choose their weapon at the end, it would incentivize players to actually give Vet Maelstrom a go, or complete it, knowing that at the end of the torturous content, they're at least getting a reward that they can sink their teeth into.

In anticipation of the "LTP"s, I'm not here to listen to how easy it is to /faceroll Vet Maelstrom if you're breezing through the arena with your already-acquired Maelstrom weapons, or OP Sorc builds. None of that changes the fact that Vet Maelstrom arena is not content that's meant for grinding. In its current state Vet Maelstrom is good for one thing: title bragging rights.

The answer is easy and brutal.

I am experiencing such a massive, unckecked, untamed amount of bots that I've never seen before. Usually they would mostly roam starter towns, but nowadays there are in Gold Coast and Grathwood, but also Al'Akir.

There are at least two kinds: the "bots train", where bots follow each other and mostly auto-grind XP and later get sold.

Then there are the resource bots, the best of them have taken the kind help from ZOS in the form of +60% speed buffs so they don't need a complex script to mount and unmount. They just speed through the area. I've followed one of them for 2 hours doing the same large, preset "circle" and gathering very large amounts of materials.

Of course your casual 10 minutes or even 30 minutes a day worth of materials "grinding" cannot compete with 24/7 of these min maxed bots. Then they refine a zillion materials and dump hundreds of tempers on the guild traders. I've seen a guy dumping up to 2,400 refined cloth every day, imagine what this volume does to gold materials prices?

Of course I reported the bots and I can even post screenshots of them but forum rules forbid that.

But this is not enough. ZOS has never implemented some basic mechanism to prevent botting and - if they used to employ manual checks - they have given up. Otherwise I couldn't explain how huge this phenomenon is growing to.

I recommend removing the attribute bonus from the Champion System. This makes people way too tanky. For starters tank builds that invest in health because exceptionally more tanky (50k health now becomes 60k), damage shields become disproportionally stronger (20% stronger shields before bastion even kicks in), but our damage is not increased by 20% (going from 30k stam to 36k isn't going to make my Surprise Attack go from 9k to 10.8k)

This change alone will affect both PvP and PvE in a positive way.

In PvP players will become less tsnky with smaller shields, and smaller health pools.

In PvE players will have to invest into their health pool in order to avoid being 1-shot, damage shields may still be too strong in PvE, but not to the same degree (it would be to be reevaluated after this change), and the damage output of players will be less insane than it currently is.

I'm just saying that this is a change that needs to happen, and if it occurs in conjunction with any other damage shields nerfs then it may be too much.
