My prediction? Its going to somehow be an inadvertent nerf to stam dks.

    Hey everyone! Tamriel Homes would like to share its featured Home of the Month for September with y'all! We're a player housing community founded in Feb 2017 at the PC/EU server.
    Our Homes of the Month are picked each month by a vote by our community members, and the creators of these homes are interviewed about their creations and on their take on ESO's player housing in general, and they do also get some Crown Store goods as a small bonus.
    Our September's featured Home of the Month is @Ruxandra’s Bouldertree Refuge called “The Fancy Snugpod!” This beautiful and fairy-like forest garden has very controlled details and use of space, with very coherent color-scheme and thematic flavor.

    Regardless of the time of the day you choose to visit this home, it always offers a very captivating ambiance, and visiting at different times is recommended as well, as the house does show a bit of different side both in the night and in the day.
    In this post you can find a few pictures of the home, but if you are playing in the PC/EU-server, it is recommended that you visit the house in person to experience and see what it feels and looks like in all its glory.

Interview:
    Below you can find a short interview with @Ruxandra, the creator of this home, and read what they have to say about their home and ESO housing in general:

1. Q: From what sort of creative background are you coming from? Do you have any other creative pursuits or hobbies? What are your preferred forms of self expression?
    A: I don’t really come from an artistic background. I could say I like drawing, photography, and digital manipulation, but I have never really had the time or the resources to make them official hobby or to make them last. I can’t even say I am good at them - it’s just that once in a while I have a decent idea, and that I manage to put it in practice and get something nice out of it.
    The only hobby that I can say I have constantly are games. They’re my go to pastime. ESO house-decorating in particular is my relaxing time when days get hard.

2. Q: Where did you find inspiration for this particular concept? Did you have any points of reference?
    A: I have this neighbor across the street from me, and one morning this summer I saw some kind of bush with pink flowers peeking above his fence, and I looked closely and a lot of trees were around, and from the outside it seemed like a cozy place to be. This was my inspiration.

3. Q: What did you prioritize with your approach to the concept? Did you have any core ideas, or principles that you aimed to follow?
    A: Main idea: cozy, fantasy, nature. From there on the most important to me were the color, and the lights. So I got the really nice white and pink trees, the lights, and tried to keep everything as light in color as I could.
    The Psijic globes of light really make the difference though; during the game’s day time they are not so visible and the sun light does all the magic, shining through the trees, but at night the blue lights really give everything this surreal, phosphorescent glow that makes the place look completely different than in sun light.

4. Q: Which parts of this concept did you find the most challenging parts to design?
    A: The hardest part is the furnishing item number limit; there is always something I find now and then that would go just perfectly with the theme, or would go perfectly in that one spot that has a little awkward empty space I wish was filled.
    So yes, I would say the hardest part is somehow trying to plan the design in a way in which you don’t wake up in halfway through to find that you have reached the item limit already.

5. Q: Are there any specific areas or details you’d like to highlight in particular, and tell us about how you came up with them?
    A: One place I think looks really pretty is the spot near the Wood Elf thrones. Stay around there and look towards the area’s exit; it looks awesome during day time, as well as at night. I didn’t have that in mind when I was placing everything, but it is a happy coincidence I think.

6. Q: Do you have any housing related tips or thoughts you’d like to share with the rest of the community?
    A: I don’t have any particular tips, other than that I recommend trying to plan ahead with the number of items you want to assign to different zones in your home.
    I misjudged this little aspect once and for that my Autumn’s-Gate stands as proof of how the limit can destroy your plans for the house. My Autumn’s-Gate’s indoors are just for my soul, but the outside looks unfinished and empty. I still don’t have the heart to re-do it to give it a proper garden.

7. Q: If you could ask Zenimax to improve the player housing in ESO in some way, which changes would be on the top of your list and why?
    A: MORE ITEMS IN A HOUSE. Yes, 600 - 700 sounds like a lot, but really is not. And this is for ESO+ members! 300 slots for a notable home? You have seen how big they are. We just need more.

8. Q: Lastly, what sort of future plans do you have player housing-wise? Can we expect to see more from you?
    A: My plan is to never stop. For whoever wants to look at my houses, I can say that I have at all times unfinished houses in the works, or empty ones still waiting; a little inn room somewhere, temporary filled with items that didn’t fit in the bank. I finish some houses, clear some, then buy more, and the cycle continues on
    This summer I got the taste for decorating homes and I’ve only just begun!

Crown Store Gifting and Potential Scamming

Based on the feedback looks like CoD isn't a thing for now, in the new crown store gifting system.

Let me start off by saying, despite my mixed feelings about exchanging real money for in game gold/items/services, while not thrilled, I'm more or less ok with this new feature. Call this gifting or call it whatever you want, it's just semantics. This is essentially creating a new market for players to sell and trade gold/items/services for crown store items (real money). Some players may choose to give these items away for free (gift them) but inevitably players will use this for trade; no matter how well or poorly it's implemented. There are several unknowns regarding the implementation that I am concerned about.

Will it be against ToS to gift crown store items in exchange for in game gold/items/services?

If not will gifting have functionality comparable to the mailing system's CoD?

If it is against ToS then ZOS can at least pretend to not endorse the exchange of crowns for gold/items/services and make the exchange process not conducive to safe exchange. Trade crowns for gold/items/services at your own risk. If a player gets scammed trying to exchange crowns for gold/items/services, then they have no one to complain to because they breached the ToS.

If it isn't against ToS then they may as well embrace the inevitable exchange of crowns for gold/items/services and make the system user friendly and as scam-proof as possible (CoD).

I also find it interesting that they decided to make gifts permanent. In the sense that once you buy an item from the crown store with the intent of gifting it, if it is sent back to you, you cannot claim the item yourself and are forced to hold onto it until you find someone else to "gift" it to. I think a much more fair approach to this would be, if the person receiving the gift declines the gift or the gift expires, then the sender gets their crowns refunded for that item and the item goes away. Otherwise this is inviting players to troll/scam each other by agreeing to an exchange and then backing out after the item has already been gifted. This is assuming there is some form of CoD in place and the other player can't just steal them item outright and not hold up their end of the bargain. I don't have high hopes for this to be changed.

I don't want to even imagine how many support tickets ZOS will have to deal with of players getting scammed, players asking for refunds on items purchased as gifts, players who sent gifts to the wrong person, ect...

I'd like to give ZOS the benefit of the doubt and assume they've considered all of these scenarios and have implemented ways of handling them effectively. I'd hate to see this added to the game and for whatever reasons (legal or otherwise) implemented in a way that makes it very easy to scam other players.

can we have IC be its own server please, we have been asking for this for ages. when you can get fights it offers really interesting fights and areas to mess around in, its a unique place and experience and something that I feel needs to not be abandoned.

can we also implement a pve version of IC and Cyrodill for people that just want to farm and do quests. it really does not matter anymore, let them do their thing in peace, let us PvP'ers actually get servers full of people that want to fight.

after that was done I would love to see the pvp version of IC opened up a bit, remove some of the IC mobs and remove the doors between the districts so you can move around the districts sans loading screens (that can sometimes be really long and really break the flow)

please don't neglect this zone, it would really offer some unique and fun gameplay with a few minor changes on ZOS's end.

Hybrid fun

When Summerset first came out we had many hybrid ideas get thrown out as potential but it seems most didn't pan out. With the gold trainee rings available I have been running a mostly heal bot Templar shacklebreaker, trainee, slimecraw and it's been really fun anyone else have a decent hybrid build they have thrown together mostly just looking for build ideas.

Everyone is going to hate me for this... but I have an idea. And when you have an idea, sometimes you just gotta say it. Even if it's an awful, terrible idea that pushes the limits of acceptable human ethics, you still gotta let it out. The world will be a worse place, but I'll personally enjoy the mild relief of not having to keep my mouth shut. So... worth it.

Radiant Apex Rewards. Those are the super rare, nearly unattainable Crown Crate drops that almost nobody ever gets.
Daedric/Aedric Artifacts. Those are unique items in the lore with unique visual appearances, like Dawnbreaker, Wabbajack, Spellbreaker, etc.

Since artifacts are supposed to be unique items in the lore, and Radiant Apex Rewards are the rarest type of cosmetic item in the game, it's a perfect fit. The Outfit system now has the capability to accommodate Outfit styles for Undaunted and "Signature" Battlegrounds styles. This functionality could be extended to Outfit styles for the Deadric/Aedric artifacts.

Make Daedric/Aedric artifact Outfit style models available as Radiant Apex Rewards!

Projected outcome: Lots of people will buy a few extra crates. The whales will go absolutely nuts. ZOS will make money.

Also, HMU if the marketing team is hiring. I really feel like I could bring something special to the team. I'm full of borderline unethical ideas that could turn a huge profit.

FIX LETHAL ARROW IN PVP OR REMOVE IT

Were all tired of it, you know what is wrong with it. There have been lengthy threads, probably thousands of support tickets, and it's all in all promoting a trash playstyle where someone hides and exploits the glitch. They should all be banned, and the skill needs fixed or removed. Anyone who discredits this post is obviously an exploiter who can't pvp, but instead hides and spams lethal arrow. It is breaking your game. Done.

Pugilism in Tamriel: The State of Unarmed Combat in September 2018

Hi all! I'm by no means an expert (or even journeyman) of game mechanics, but I couldn't find an up-to-date reference on unarmed combat in Elder Scrolls Online, so I tested some things out on the PTS and am posting them to share with the two or three other people who might be interested in.

This is not an idea thread or a request for an unarmed skill line. This is a resource for players who, like me, wish to play an unarmed monk-type character in spite of the fact that they're not very good.

So, in short, here are the things that I tested and what the results were:

Stamina
With recent balance changes to how light/heavy attack damage is calculated, Stamina now plays a significant roll in how hard your unarmed strikes will hit.

Weapon Damage
Weapon damage also still increases unarmed attack damage.

Proc Sets
I tested a small sampling of random proc sets, and they generally behaved as you'd expect. Unarmed attacks can proc melee, physical damage, and light/heavy attack-based procs. This is extremely useful, of course, since proc damage doesn't scale with player weapon damage at all.

I'd also like to note that the oft-overlooked Undaunted Unweaver/Infiltrator 5-piece bonus increases unarmed attack damage. While these sets aren't very good for general use, they might be helpful in some niche unarmed builds.

Weapon Swapping
Since Wolfhunter, you are now able to swap between two unarmed skill bars, or from an equipped bar to an unarmed bar. Woo-hoo!

Off-hand Weapons/Shields
Since Wolfhunter, equipping a weapon or shield in your off-hand will trigger a glitch in which your light and heavy attacks have no animation. You can still fight, but it's like you're punching the enemies with your mind.

Unfortunately, if you actually want the aesthetic of an unarmed brawler, it means going without any weapon or shield stats at all.

Physical Weapon Expert Champion Perk
Unarmed strikes do not get any benefit from this perk. Monks, spend your champion points elsewhere.


Imbue Weapon
The damage from Imbue Weapon does proc from unarmed light/heavy attacks. (This seems obvious, but you never know what weird exceptions you might encounter!)


Enchantments/Poisons
Enchantments and poisons still do not proc if you are fighting unarmed.


I'm sure I'm forgetting to include some of my test results here, as I quite cleverly forgot to write anything down. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

A complete Cyrodiil, a dream or a potential reality?

As some of you know, and some of you don't, the Cyrodiil we see in ESO is not quite its entirety. We have the Gold Coast and the ''Cyrodiil'' zones, but those are not all Cyrodiil has to offer. They're the majority, true, but not all.

As of now, County Bravil (the area near the Elsweyr Gate), County Leyawiin (below Bravil), and County Skingrad are practically missing.

Some folk on the forums have informed me that, at least Bravil and Skingrad are semi-there. Skingrad the city can even be found if you manage to glitch out of the map (or at least, could be found), same thing with Bravil, both of which have somewhat proper textures within.

Leyawiin is another story entirely, as I can't recall anyone attempting to pay a visit over there, but the fact that Skingrad and Bravil both were designed up until a certain point, do you think there's any hope of ever getting to see them in their entirety?

Unlocking these parts, especially Bravil and Leyawiin, could actually be a great change for the PvE playerbase to be seperated from the PvP playerbase, as the two counties together make up a considerable amount of territory, and without an Alliance War motif, PvE players would be a lot more secure here than up in central Cyrodiil, of course, the sheer fact that there'd be more space would also decrease the odds of a PvE player running into a PvP player, and could even allow for people new to PvP to practice on friends there, rather than having to risk getting ambushed in central Cyrodiil.

Of course, the counties also provide great potential for PvP elements, primarily for Dominion and Pact players, uncertain how the Covenant playerbase would get over there easily though.

But is it realistic to clinge to the dream of these three (or two) counties to appear?

Please, let me know what if you'd like these counties to be properly introduced, and in what way.

Suggestion: Make Imperial Physique prevent stealth

Make Imperial Physique prevent stealth

The imperial physique is a high risk high reward set that makes players glow bright blue in a beam of light to let others know a player has a lot of loot but also a higher amount of resources. Being able to stealth, especially during combat, defeats this. As an added penalty for the higher stats I believe this should prevent stealth, or at least continue the blue glow area as someone wanders about in stealth.

Feel free to to complain or agree below.

Help a 780CP Magsorc not suck at PVP - builds, skills, cp etc

I'm Stormproof (if that means anything these days), complete vet trials no probs, and solo every world boss i come across, bar a few. So, pve speaking, i probably know what I'm doing.

So why are 300CP players wiping the floor with me in Cyrodiil??

I obviously need help with dropping my PVE approach, and gettin my PVP on. And need some help with some base magsorc sets, skills, rotation and CP allocation.

I have gold Necro, BSW, Julianos, Mechanical Acuity armour sets, endless maelstrom staves, asylum staves, willpower etc. While i have tried to read other posts on op pvp magsorc builds, i really just want to be alot more competitive in pvp.

Suggestions??

Sets for Stamina Sorcerer PvE

So I finally got my Stamina Sorcerer to CP780. Took a few days lol.
I have only run Magicka toons for PvE, and farmed sets with my Magblade for this moment.
What sets are good for a player just starting out with a Stamina toon? This is what I have so far
Vicious Ophidian
Relequen
Hundings Rage

Is HR/VO still a good idea? This isn't a L2P thing (well kind of is lol), I'm honestly looking for tips from Stamina users.

Thrall Cove world boss in Hew's Bane not spawning?

Hi. I have tried to knock that boss off my list for 3 days now but it seems that the Keel Cutter Sea Lord and adds that would make him appear despawn almost instantly either engaged or not. I have been in groups and 2 seconds after we started the fight they just despawned. I have checked the area alone, standing hidden on a rock nearby, I have seen them spawn and then despawn almost instantly. Am I missing something or is that world boss glitched?

Crown Crate Gifting ----- We have a Problem

So I was given a challenge and i am passing it along to you all. How do you the amount of crown crates in a received gift, without claiming it?

based on this image you cant tell if this is one crate, 4 crates, or a pack of 15 crates. After you have gifted the item you have no way to verify the amount without accepting the gift. and if you accept you cant return the item and also have trouble showing what you actually received. @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom please put a number indicator or show the breakdown of bundled items that are gifted from the crown store. this will go a long way to settle player disputes.

[PC NA] Thrall Cove world boss not spawning

Hi. The world boss located at Thrall Cove in Hew's Bane, Captain Virindi, cannot spawn due to the Keel Cutter adds that trigger his fight despawning after a few seconds, whether you engage them or not.

I had never been there before so I can't tell for how long it has been going but I have been trying to do this world boss for 1 week now and always witnessed the same thing.

There are 2 achievements associated to this world boss that are unobtainable as a result.
