trying to stay alive as a sta dk in pve

Hey all I have been playing mag dk since forever, I decided to follow alcasts pve sta dps build for dks. I am having a very hard time staying alive, normally I can solo the original games world bosses no problem with mag dk, now I am working so hard to stay alive I run out of resources before I can kill. I am using Vigor and the dragon blood for heals. Am I doing something wrong? I am just a casual player have almost 600cp.

Using alcast's venom build except with vigor and dragon blood for heals, any advice? Thanks

Hey Magblades! How's Murkmire for you?

I run two Magblades - a healer and a ranged damage build. Most of what I will discuss is related to Battlegrounds as that is what I participate in, but feel free to share your experiences in all PvP related content. I'm seeing a lack of Magblades in Battlegrounds and it feels a bit disheartening but I still believe in making the class work.

Healer - Maybe it's people finally taking NB healers serious enough to put focus on you or maybe there's just more damage in Murkmire, but those Healthy Offering stacks are rough keeping up with. I've considered using Naga Shaman over Shacklebreaker and going with Shrewd Offering for the reduced health penalty. This will give me Minor Mending, Major Mending, Minor Vitality, and Major Vitality (with Blackrose Resto Staff*).

Still running in heavy armor but seriously considering light armor. For monster sets I like Earthgore, Chokethorn, Bloodspawn, and Troll King.

Ranged Damage - I give credit to anyone who can run with Swallow Soul. I understand the healing potential of it but it just feels weak in PvP - and MagDKs especially make the skill even more of a joke. So I run Force Pulse and I love it! And to compliment this skill, I run Torug's with an Infused Inferno Staff. I tested all of the enchants for my damage bar but in the end they all felt inferior to Flame.

Running light armor with Blackrose Resto Staff (Berserker enchant) on backbar. For monster sets I like Troll King, Engine Guardian, or Bloodspawn. I would consider Elemental Weapon but from what I've seen it doesn't proc Caluurions (my other set). Caluurions is a good choice even for Ranged Magblade and I can make it extremely effective as you can see in this short clip:

image

*If you haven't got a Blackrose Resto Staff yet, I encourage you to get it - it's very good and helps make up for the Healing Ward nerf. You don't even need the Perfected one unless you feel you must have it. The duration is short and it can get expensive if you spam it, but there is no cooldown on the buff.

So just a few questions:
Are you still playing Magblade?
What are your opinions on the class?
What do you have trouble with?
Do you think melee Magblade is viable after Murkmire?

Also if you have any Battlegrounds clips from after Murkmire, post them here! Love to see other perspectives - I'll share some of my own if any are interested.

Daily Alchemy Not Working?

Hello everyone, I've installed the "daily alchemy" addon several times and it doesn't work. Whenever I get an alchemy writ and go to the alchemy table, it doesn't craft anything and I end up having to create the potions manually (which isn't a problem, I'm just wondering why the addon doesn't seem to work?). Does anyone know why Daily Alchemy isn't working on any of my characters? Thanks :)

I’m trying to figure out if 7 divines with lover is better than 7 divines warrior with major brutality, flawless dawnbreaker, and medium armor passives.

Thats 40% extra weapon damage on top 363 (believe its 508 buffed) from warrior vs just the flat 4196

Sheogorath's Mortals is one of the original PvE guilds on the server. We have 470+ members that help each other with builds, pledges, trials, crafting, and more. We also have a guildhall with plenty of various sized dps dummies and a transmute station.

We accept players of all skill levels. If you've never finished a veteran dungeon, or if you have completed veteran hard mode trials like VMoL and VCR+3, we'll have something for you.

With an active discord full of experienced players from all across the server we can help you with whatever your character build may need including your attribute points, skill sets, champion point allocation, dungeon mechanics, or anything else you may need. Even if it’s PvP help, we're sure to have a player that can assist you.

We run all sorts of trials. From first time training runs, to our core that clears DLC and HM trials, we're bound to have a group for you.

GM is based in NA pacific time zone, and we have officers all across NA time zones as well as New Zealand. We also have high ranking members from all over the globe, so we remain somewhat active at all hours of the day.

If you're looking for real end game progression, without the elitist mentality, no need to look any further. Dont be shy, contact @hamrb or recruiting officer @symbolseka in game for invites and information. Replys here in the forums will be responded to as well, but its much faster to contact me in game with mail.

Only two requirements, 160+cp (if youre close to that number we can work something out) and membership to our discord(mic not required outside of core teams). discord info to be shared when you join the guild

Thanks! Hope to be playing with you all soon!

Multiple bugs in Cyrodiil - PS4 Vivec

Ever since the last major update there have been multiple things that have been happening in cyro.
First off, the bugs start with a trail that is constantly behind 1 or more players. This resembles the wind you see while sprinting but is constantly there.
u09xcqiwhav6.png
Afterwards, it slowly gets worse with multiple black lines protruding into the sky 0m1rkm0phu7o.jpeg
These multiple ones turn into a giant black bar resembling an obelisk ayf2ftnjmoa0.jpeg
If you do not log out right away and restart your game, your skill and resource bar turn pixelated. This in turn slowly gets worse until your screen looks pixelated and turns pinkish red and green e4460zbnd724.jpeg
Again this gets worse until your field of view is slowly obscured by a creeping darkness
meuh72cycfux.jpeg
Finally your screen turns Into something that resembles a cracked screen.6nn96hplnrnr.jpeg
It’s fixed if you restart your app but then it will slowly start to happen to another person in group which then spreads like a virus back to you.

Time Stop and Permafrost: destroyers of fun

I think it's time we rally together and make a bunch of noise about removing the snares from both of these abilities. Nothing is less fun than not being able to move, especially when the snare area is the size of a football field. The massive AOE stuns are plenty strong enough. I could write up a wall of text detailing why these skills are problematic but anyone who plays BG's has a thorough understanding.

Keep the snare on Northern Storm if you want but remove it from Permafrost. Likewise, keep the snare on Borrowed Time but remove it from Time Freeze.

yes, a very naive melody :)

initially I had tried to kick off the conversation with questions on a bunch of random topics...

love to fight, carry scrolls, gank, defend, attack, pour oil on folks, repair keep walls til your fingers bleed - this is your thread...

love hearing big and little battle stories, as well as observations concerning the interaction between the alliances in this campaign - who doesn't love a good bridge fight...

big IC fan...at this point i wanna apologize right now for anything weird or crazy i may have done in IC (or for any future stuff)...I'm pretty laid back in cyro - IC has a way of getting me fired up on occasion...

hmmmmm, is it really true cyro reveals whom you want to be, and, IC reveals who you truly are...

if you want - say what's up, and if you like - let us all know what's up...

anyhow - enjoy, and, happy gaming trails...

bonus question: if any one knows where the reference "loose tales" (spelt differently) comes from - you'll win...ummmm, my undying admiration?

Since I'm sure there is a negative thread above or below this one, how about you reply briefly describing a positive experience you had in ESO recently?

I'll go first:
Queued up for a daily vet random and ended up in Fang Lair. Apparently, the group was stuck at the Menagerie and a DPS had rage quit since they had been there for two hours. As I'm walking there (my gosh it's such a long walk) they're explaining the situation and how "difficult" the fight is. I try reassuring them that it's actually a lot easier than they think, but they laugh it off. So I finally arrive at the boss and explain the mechanics, and I emphasize that the key is to walk in small, tight circles around the boss and to not panic. We kill the boss and I could audibly hear how relieved and shocked they were that we had beaten it so easily after they had spent so much time on it. We go through the rest of the dungeon and make it to the very last boss. We spent about 45 minutes on this boss since it took them a long time to completely understand the mechanics and the healer was struggling keeping the tank alive. So I swapped out a few skills, threw on Twilight Matriarch to help the healer, and we beat it. They were all so relieved that they had beaten it for the first time, and it felt good to know that I helped 3 other people do something they had not previously been able to do before.

[Bug?] Sorcerer Pet Death Bug Video

$

Hello,

I made a simple video to help newer guild members learn the "Command Pet" mechanic within the game and discovered something I think to be odd about pet behavior. In the video below, at about the 40 second mark you will see that the Twilight Matriarch is killed, as a result of losing all of it's hit points. This is correct behavior. However at exactly the 1 minute mark, you'll see the Familiar pet die, with a full health bar. At this time in the video I had set the pets to not attack, using Y + right click as part of the video explanation.

I titled this thread [Bug?] because I do not understand why the Familiar pet died. I can repeat this behavior as can you by setting the pets to not attack. After my character has taken some damage, one or rarely both of them die. Is this intended or a bug?

(EP) Ebonheart Defenders (PvE/PvP) Looking for Members

$

The Ebonheart Defenders is a PvE and PvP-focused guild on Xbox one and located on the NA Megaserver. We participate in large-scale, coordinated group PvP for the Ebonheart Pact and organize guild PvP, battlegrounds, sewers, and both normal and veteran Trials runs throughout the week. We consider ourselves a family guild, in that we play, learn, and grow together. We maintain 480+ active members.

We are also looking for raid leaders and folks with leadership potential to join our officer ranks and continue to promote the high levels of activity and success we have been able to achieve since guild launch.

PvP Main Campaign: Vivec

Our guild offers the following:

• Coordinated, organized PvP with experienced leadership: both traditional, battlegrounds, and and sewer/IC farming runs.
• Casual/slow-paced group questing, Skyshard/Lorebook/Dolmens/Bosses collection runs, and power leveling groups as needed.
• Experienced MMO players to run dungeons and trials with.
• Guild hall: All members have access to visit and utilize the guild leader's primary residence which serves as the guild hall. All crafting stations--some attuned--5 regular target skeletons, one robust, and one target centurion are available as well as the 3 hirelings (banker, merchant, fence). It's at the island home (grand topal hideaway) and a lot of time and care has been put into decorating it (for those interested in that sort of thing)
• Several trials runs throughout the week, both at the normal and veteran difficulty levels.
• Crafting assistance, build advice, tanking/healing/Dps advice and PvP/PvE tips/guidance from experienced players.
• A fun but mature community. The core members of this guild are very friendly and outgoing. We expect our members to also share a good natured and helpful attitude toward each other. Don't bring drama here; we are here to enjoy the game.
• We play A LOT and are always available to help when needed. We want to be one of the top guilds on Xbox and are working hard to get there.
• Guild Tabard, Guild Store, Guild Hall, Hired Trader (as available), and Guild Bank will all be available to you.
• Organization and community development through use of Band (free downloadable app in your mobile App Store); provides access to guild event calendar and discussions to help you get the help you need, ask and answer questions, meet your guild mates, and link up with them to tackle content.

We have remained active from the game's launch through the most current expansion (Dragon Bones) and regularly do content from each of the expansions.

We put together a weekly calendar of events that is posted on band and reflects more or less the following:

• Large-scale PvP
• Trials Runs for properly geared and leveled players occur nightly, and typically several times a day at both the normal and veteran difficulty levels. Members wanting to join the veteran trials group will be vetted through dps testing with one of our test dummies in the guild hall, normal trials runs, etc. to ensure players are properly geared, skilled, and compatible with the group.

Our goal is to maintain a regular set of events that our members can anticipate being held in advance.

Lastly, NO mandatory dues. Yes, I said it.

If you'd like an invite, reply to this thread or message my gamertag: John2584; please include the class(es) and level(s) of your character(s) and any other information you think would be appropriate. If you have questions, feel free to ask.

John2584 invites you to [Ebonheart Defenders] group on BAND, the group communication app used by 50M+ people.
