As a couple who have been playing ESO non-stop since launch in 2014, I must say that my hubby and I love questing in this game. We enjoy the stories behind them and how they take us to so many different locations that we can explore. But, even back in 2014, the 25-quest limit was not enough, but we managed especially since, back in 2014, we could only go into other alliance zones once we unlocked them by doing the quest lines for Cadwell's Silver and then Cadwell's Gold.
But then we got One Tamriel!!
"One Tamriel removes Alliance restrictions and will automatically level your characters to match the difficulty of the content wherever you are in the world. Travel where you like, whenever you like, with whomever you like regardless of their Alliance or level. Accept any quest, fight any monster, and experience a world of adventure without limits!"
Oh boy, did our quest log fill up fast, I mean we could go anywhere, "accept any quest," and with the main quest line and all the side quest, we couldn't keep up.
Also, during that time, we got The Imperial City, Orsinium, and Thieves Guild which meant they also had their own quest lines. Since then, the game has been steadily expanding, giving way to even more new Chapters and DLC's and therefore making more quests available to players. We have
Main Quests, Side Quest, Dungeon Dailies, World Boss Dailies, Undaunted, Mages, and Thieves Guild Dailies....we have Three Undaunted Pledges that can be completed each day and Trials in almost every zone, etc....and don't forget to do your writs, all 7 of them! I'm sure I'm missing some, but you get where I'm coming from don't you?
And that's just the PVE side. If you are like us, you also like to PVP, which means Dailies such as Kill 20/20 Enemy Templar, Kill 40/40 Enemy Players, Capture Chalman Keep, Capture 8 Resources, Capture the Elder Scroll of Alma Ruma, Scout Arrius Lumbermill, daily town quests, etc.....and that's not counting the dailies in Imperial City!!
My point is that the 25-quest limit is not enough, it may have been feasible back in 2014, prior to Morrowind, Summerset, .... prior to IC, Orsinium, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, Shadows of the Hist, Dragon Bones, Wolfhunter, Murkmire, and upcoming, Wrathstone and Elsweyr, but it's certainly not cutting it now.
In order to do your daily writs, you must have 7 empty quest slots, every day. That means that we sometimes must abandon quests we may have gotten the night before just to complete our writs in one swoop. Yea I know we could always grab a couple writs, complete them, turn them in, and go back to writ board to grab a couple more, but who has time for that? I want to kill stuff!! Then we have all these awesome Event/Festivals dailies, you must make sure you have a slot to accept those quests.
I know that some of you may be saying, "I don't understand why you would be having 25 quests active at a time" that may have been true back in 2014, but a lot of us like to work on the main story line for multiple zones and as you know, once you turn in one quest in that line then you get the next one. Then you have those that PVP and you might only have gotten 6 out of your 8 resources captured, or 18 out of your 20 Templars, 34 out of your 40 Enemy Players completed before you had to log last night. Some of us like to accept all the dailies in a any given zone (i.e. World Boss, Dungeon, Geysers) and then complete them while we are out in the world and turn them all in together. I'm just saying that if a player grabs a side quest and continues with the main quest line one day and doesn't get back to the side quest before logging, they shouldn't have to abandon that quest in the morning just to do their writs or to participate in the latest event/festival.
@ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_RichLambert @ZOS_GinaBruno any chance we could get a quest limit increase so that players can truly enjoy all these awesome new zones, dungeons, and festivals that you guys keep giving us? Thank you for your time.
