Stamplar...suggestions for a different build?

I have to say that so far I've followed the main builds that were suggested by many experienced players...I must admit they work well (Ravager, Bone Pirate with some possible changes like Draugr Hulk or even Fortified Brass for more defense).


I had a good look at the billion of gear that ESO offers and I'm now wondering why certain armours are not really used regularly in PvP. I'm particularly curious about some proc sets especially when I played against a magplar who hut me like a truck with Calurion and Sload

Stam wise I got interested in the following sets:
  • Defiler: (5 items) When you deal Critical Damage, you have an 8% chance to summon a Hunger that spews poison to all enemies in front of it, dealing 6000 Poison Damage and stunning enemies hit for 5 seconds. This effect can occur once every 5 seconds.
  • Pillar of Nirn: 5 items) When you deal damage, you have a 10% chance to create a fissure underneath the enemy after 1 second, dealing 2000 Physical Damage to all enemies within 2.5 meters and causing them to bleed for an additional 8000 Physical Damage over 10 seconds. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds
  • Red Mountain (5 items) When you deal damage with a Weapon ability, you have a 10% chance to spawn a volcano that erupts after 1 second and fires a projectile at the nearest enemy that deals 8400 Flame Damage. This effect can occur once every 2 second
  • Twin Sisters: (5 items) When you block an attack, you have a 20% chance to cause all enemies within 5 meters of you to bleed for 8600 Physical Damage over 8 seconds. This effect can occur once every 8 seconds
  • Viper: 5 items) When you deal damage with a Melee Attack, you deal an additional 6400 Poison damage over 4 seconds. This effect can occur once every 4 seconds
  • Eternal Hunt: (5 items) When you use Roll Dodge, you leave behind a rune that detonates when enemies come close dealing 8125 Poison Damage and immobilizing them for 1.5 seconds
  • Morkuldin: (5 items) When you deal damage with a Light or Heavy attack, you have a 10% chance to summon an animated weapon to attack your enemies for 15 seconds. The animated weapon's basic attack deals 4551 Physical Damage
  • Plague Slinger: (5 items) When you take damage, you summon a Skeever corpse which will launch 5 poison balls over 5 seconds that deal 5160 Poison Damage each at the nearest enemy. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds

Are you guys using any of those? I'm sure I've left several other examples out....on paper they look great hence my curiosity related to rarely seeing them around...am I missing something out? I'd love to try them all out myself but as you can imagine time and gold are sadly not infinite!!

the necromancer for example in guildwars 2 can absolutely demolish healers (depending on the build) while not beeing effective towards any other class. what we often witness in pvp is buff stacking in 4 man groups to the extend that noone dies in the end. there should be something turning that buffs into curses breaking the meta and giving a chance for counterplay towards specific playstyles if ur build up for that.

its just a suggestion of adding something into the equation pls keep it nice eventho it might mess around with ur playstyle. i dont say it has to be like this its just an opinion and might be interressting

Daedric protection on Stam Sorc?

Looking for some opinions. Is it worth changing my back bar ult to Temporal Guard for the minor protection vice running storm atro for the 20% stam regen on my back bar? It reduces my stam regen to 1382 (from 1580).

Nord Resistances and 2H ulti

Since I can't get on PTS for a while, would someone else like to check whether the 2H ulti steals Nord racial resistances? A racial passive seems like something that ought to be immune to that particular effect. How do those mechanics seem to be functioning together?

The title pretty much says it all.

In the last weeks we all have been discussing the racial changes a lot and I am interested to see which races will be favoured in the upcoming update and beyond.

Keep in mind it doesn't matter if you race change or not, I just want to see which races will be the most / least popular ones after U21 hits live servers.

Feel free to discuss any race-related topics and explain how or why you made your choice.

I'd please you to not turn this into yet another complaining thread about racial changes. We already have more than enough of them where pain points and issues can be discussed, this thread is just to get an overview about race distribution in U21.

Would you want a new PvP zone?

With IC being given it's own queue, the door is open to adding more zones with PvP enabled (BGs aren't counted as "zones" for this poll/discussion).

Off the top of my head, there are some obvious pros and cons:

Pros:
• Something fresh/different
• More map options to choose from
• Greater creative freedom for new mechanics/concepts for zone-sized PvP
• More lore/more of story of the Three Banners war/new map areas to explore

Cons:
• Could take resources away from/lead to slower updates for Cyrodiil/IC
• Dilutes PvP player base among even more maps/campaigns

I’m not particularly for or against the idea, just curious and wanted to add something else to talk about given the directions hinted at for zone-based PvP.

Personally, I would be curious and give the new zone a try, especially if they took lots of suggestions and feedback from players in shaping the new map’s identity.

Or, instead of truly “all new, all different” maps I would be interested in an idea I and a few others toyed with a while back. That is, you would still have Cyro (and now IC) with different campaigns, but each campaign would be different in some ways to spice things up.

No, not just CP vs. No CP or varying point values for objectives or different campaign durations.

I mean things like:
• A campaign that has the new outposts and one that doesn’t (maybe it has insane world bosses at those locations, or some new type of capturable objective, or both, or is just retro/empty, or something else, etc.)
• A campaign that has the new relic system vs. one that doesn’t (or maybe a different rule set for that system)
• A campaign with much fiercer non-Alliance NPCs that raid (and can fairly quickly capture) keeps/outposts/towns vs. a campaign without such raids
• A campaign with soft/hard caps on stats for Battle Spirit vs. those with the current version of Battle Spirit
• Etc.

These wouldn’t have to all be done or made into a huge number of new campaigns. They could be mixed and matched. It would be especially helpful if prototypes were up for extended periods on the PTS for feedback to see what works well/gets a good reception and what doesn’t.

And yes, “What about lag/performance?”, but that’s been said since the lighting patch so while it’s an issue waiting for it to get fixed before doing any other major changes is pointless. It’s been nearly five years.

I took a few screenshots of this church that I found in Cyrodiil the other day, Temple of the Ancestor Moths near Kingscrest Keep, and since we have so many houses available that are based on current structures that are in the game already (Velothie reverie, Strident Spring Demesne, Elinhir Private Arena, and many many others) i thought it would be cool to have it available as a home that we can buy, the place looks awesome and it is abandoned in Cyrodiil like most of the rest of the buildings there XD.

Lookin for some chill people to do vDLC content with [PC/NA]

So, basically, my girlfriend and I recently left a fairly toxic community and we're looking to find a few people who are chill and willing or wanting to do some 4 man DLC content with us.

We've cleared everything so far except for the following:
- vBRP [HM & Deathless & Speedrun]
- vSCP [HM & Deathless]
- vFL [Deathless]
- vMoS [HM & Deathless]
- vMHK [HM & Deathless]

We're basically looking for any role, as we both have tanks, healers, and DPS. I tend to prefer to use my DPS for hard content though as I'm not really as comfortable yet with my tank. My girlfriend also has a preference as a healer, so ideally we'd like to find 1 Tank and 1 DPS.

Honestly, even if you just want to get into harder content as a DPS or tank we'd be more than happy to help you out. We both have a lot of experience in all roles so training someone isn't too big of a deal. We'll even help you farm for gear if you need it.

PS: As a side note if any DPS want to do nHoF tomorrow with some role players and can pull above 30k lmk, trying to make it so they can experience the story but a lot of them only pull <10k dps.

I placed the 1st set which is Julianos. So what are some opinions on the next few to get.

Is Stamina Sorc Decent for Soloing?

I know any and all classes can solo. I'm looking for a melee / bow class that is decent on moving around and can get the job done and sustain itself without having to worry about health after each fight or worse yet take a long time to take down mobs.

This is not suppose to be for special trials, etc end game but really just fun character that is bow / melee based.

I was considering Red Guard but not sure if that will have a impact come Monday or they considered still better race for Stamina based classes?

If you have another class/race mix suggestion I love to hear it. From my Understanding though the Stam Sorc is one the better melee/bow classes but if there is better I love to hear it.

If there is a easier one to play I also like to hear it. I mean the game does not have that many buttons to begin with but I actually like boring rotations, etc. As long as it pumps the dps make soloing fun and fast and not a snooze fest watching everything around me get destroyed by other players.

A suggestion for a vampire vs werewolf vs un-infected world event.

My buddy had an idea for a world event i thought was pretty cool, he said "i am not a forum person" so he wasnt going to post the idea, so I will. his suggestion was for a vampire vs werewolf vs uninfected world event (possibly a week long?). anyways his idea was that the vampires shot the sun with auriel's bow so the sun is out. the werewolves have a full moon all week. and players get to run around fighting in their "vampire/werewolf/un-infected faction".
so there is the suggestion.

So the last version of the PTS notes (4.3.4) was posted and there are no racial changes anymore. This means the 4.3.3 version of racials will most likely be the final version that goes live.

If you can't remember, let me copy & paste a summary of all the racial changes:


Altmer (last update: 4.3.2)
  • Increases Experience gain in Destruction Staff Skill Line by 15%, extra 1% Generic Experience gain
  • Spell Recharge: Restore 645 Magicka or Stamina, based on whichever is higher, after activating a Class Ability. This effect can occur once every 6 seconds. Reduces damage taken by 5% while you are using an ability with a cast or channel time.The return for this passive will now restore your lowest maximum resource, rather than your highest.
  • Syrabane’s Boon: Increases your Max Magicka by 2000.
  • Elemental Talent: Increases your Spell Damage by 258.

Argonian (last update: 4.3.2)
  • Increases experience gain in Resto Staff Skill Line by 15%, extra 50% Swimming Speed
  • Resourceful: Increases your Max Magicka by 1000. Increased the Health, Magicka, and Stamina restore from drinking a potion to 4000 from 3620.
  • Argonian Resistance: Increases your Max Health by 1000 and your Disease Resistance by 2310. You are immune to the Diseased status effect.
  • Life Mender: Increased the Healing Done bonus to 6% from 4%.

Bosmer (last update: 4.3.3)
  • Increases experience gain in Bow Skill Line by 15%, decreases fall damage taken by 10%
  • Y’ffre’s Endurance: Increases your Stamina Recovery by 258.
  • Resist Affliction: Increases your Max Stamina by 2000 and your Poison Resistance by 2310. You are immune to the Poisoned status effect.
  • Hunter’s Eye: Increases your Stealth detection radius by 3m. After you use Roll Dodge you gain 10% Movement Speed for 6 seconds and a bonus to Physical and Spell Penetration of 1500 for the duration.

Breton (last update: 4.3.2)
  • Increases Experience gain in Light Armor Skill Line by 15%, extra 1% Alliance Point gain
  • Gift of Magnus: Increases your Max Magicka by 2000.
  • Spell Attunement: Gain 2310 Spell Resistance and 100 Magicka Recovery. The Spell Resistance granted by this effect will now be doubled if you are afflicted with Burning, Chilled, or Concussed.
  • Magicka Mastery: Reduces the Magicka cost of your abilities by 7%.

Dunmer (last update: 4.3.2)
  • Increases Experience gain in Dual Wield Skill Line by 15%, reduces damage taken from Lava by 50%
  • Dynamic: Increased the Max Magicka and Stamina granted to 1875 from 1250.
  • Resist Flame: Increases your Flame Resistance by 2310. You are immune to the Burning status effect. Removed the Max Health bonus from this passive.
  • Ruination: Increases your Weapon and Spell Damage by 258.

Imperial (last update: 4.3.3)
  • Increases Experience gain in One Hand and Shield Skill Line by 15%, extra 1% Gold gain
  • Tough: Increases your Max Health by 2000.
  • Imperial Mettle: Increases your Max Stamina by 2000.
  • Red Diamond: Reworked this passive so when you deal Direct Damage now, you restore 333 Health, Magicka, and Stamina. This effect has a 5 second cooldown. Reworked the 5% Block and Bash cost reduction to 3% cost reduction of all abilities (all the things!).

Khajiit (last update 4.3.3)
  • Increases Experience gain in Medium Armor Skill Line by 15%, 5% bonus change to successfully pickpocket
  • Robustness: Increases your Health Recovery by 100. Increased the Magicka and Stamina Recovery bonuses to 85 from 75.
  • Lunar Blessings: Increased the Max Health, Magicka, and Stamina bonuses to 825 from 750.
  • Feline Ambush: Reworked the 8% Spell and Weapon Critical Strike Chance to 10% Critical Damage and Critical Healing. Decreased the reduction of your Stealth radius to 3m from 5m.

Nord (last update: 4.3.0)
  • Increases Experience gain in Two Handed Skill Line by 15%, 15 extra minutes on drink buffs
  • Stalwart: Increases your Max Stamina by 1500. When you take damage, gain 5 Ultimate. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.
  • Resist Frost: Increases your Max Health by 1000 and your Cold Resistance by 2310. You are immune to the Chilled status effect.
  • Rugged: Increases your Physical and Spell Resistance by 3960.

Orc (last update: 4.3.2)
  • Increases Experience gain in Heavy Armor Skill Line by 15%, extra 10% Inspiration gain
  • Brawny: This passive now grants 2000 Max Stamina instead of 500 Health and 500 Stamina.
  • Unflinching: This passive now grants 1000 Max Health and heals you for up to 600 when you deal damage with a weapon, with a 4 second cooldown. Previously, it granted 4% Healing Taken, and 380 Stamina and Health when dealing damage with a weapon.
  • Swift Warrior: Increases your Weapon Damage by 258. Reduces the cost of your Sprint ability by 12% and increases your Movement Speed while Sprinting by 10%.

Redguard (last update: 4.3.2)
  • Increases One Hand and Shield Skill Line by 15%, 15 extra minutes on food buffs
  • Martial Training: Reduces the cost of your Weapon abilities by 8%. Added a bonus that reduces the effectiveness of Snares applied to you by up to 15%.
  • Conditioning: Increases your Max Stamina by 2000.
  • Adrenaline Rush: When you deal damage with a melee attack you restore 792 Stamina. This effect can occur once every 5 seconds. → When you deal Direct Damage, you restore 950 Stamina. This effect can occur once every 5 seconds.

Before we start few notes for you:
  • This topic is NOT about how to achieve highest DC HpS. The builds are intended for melee brawling.
  • BS and AP are only an example. But Monsterset + LA set + AM/PD are requiered.
  • Values only calculated by UESP Builder. NOT Tested! Seems like Update 21 function (racial and CP bonus changes!!!) is broken atm.
  • S&B backbar is just an example, Restro is also possible.
  • Values from CP, but we can also talk about No-CP.
  • Effective Spell Damage doesn't include damage glyph proc


Armor Master

Magicka 38.9k/37.5k
Health 30.2k/34.1k
Effective Spell Damage 7225
Physical Resistance 32.4k

Pros:
+ Able to run an arena/willpower staff frontbar = more damage
+ More migitgation full buffed

Cons:
- You have to run Harness/Dampen backbar

Pros:
+ More Dark Cloak HpS
+ Healing Taken increased in general
+ Better off-guard survivability
+ Better scaling of Undead passive
+ Will get a hidden buff in CP with Update 21

Cons:
- Less mitigation overall
- Less damage


Questions:
  • How big is the gap between both sets in terms of effective health (connection of health and mitigation)? We are talking about AM ~8k more Res to PD ~6k (should be 7.2k in CP with U21) more HP.
  • Is the difference in damage by ~250 Effective Spell Damage noticeable? The value will change with the changes to Dunmer.
  • Viability CP and No-CP?


If you give me good pros and cons I will add them to my list.
