Guild Hall needs more love

$

Dear ESO Dev's:

Guild Halls are not very sexy in game and do also not realy have anything great in regards of Guild functions.

Maybe some ideas for the future. I am sure my ideas are maybe not right, I am also sure that other players would have to add more/different stuff.

1) There should be exclusive Guild Halls, just for guilds (maybe for a pre-defined size) and they should be different from player homes
2) There should maybe be cheap apartments, single/dual rooms be able to rent from guild members. The rental fee should possible go to the guilds bank
3) There should be material and guild workbenches for items only a guild/ guild hall can build (spezial armor/weapons/furniture....
4) There should be a mission giver just for guild mission either PvE/ or PvP, or both

Thank you for reading.

We've been scamed, I want my money back - Monster Mask set Weapon Packs with tickets

In patch note 5.0.1 it says there will be a Dungeon Event where we will be able to get the shoulders and masks from thier respective chests and dungeon bosses. But it also says the following:

"Shadowrend, Ilambris, Molag Kena, and Grothdarr style pages for mask, shoulders, and weapons will also be available from the Impresario during the event, for Event Tickets. Earn your tickets during the event and you can complete your look with the Impresario’s offerings."

The weapons from the Weapon Packs we bought in the Crown Store with REAL MONEY is possible to buy with tickets, a in game currency. This is not right, there was no information that the Weapons Packs would be avaible with a in game currency, something which if I'd known I would never have bought the Weapon Packs with REAL MONEY. Its even worse, because, and I think it was the case for many that did buy the Weapon Packs, I just wanted 1 of the weapons in the pack.

I created a ticket about this, but I am also making a forum post about it so that ZOS notices and sees that this is not the sway to creat a loyal costumer and devoted player, things that are Crown Store exclusive should remain that way.
ZOS I want my money back, and for you to respect me as a costumer in the future.

If you agree that this is a scam, simply write "I want my money back ZOS"

It has been over 2 yrs since the dark brotherhood dlc was released and with it's new content came new clothes mounts pets etc.
One of which was the treasure hunter costume for 1000 crowns....I unfortunately missed out on it and have since been pained a little inside every time I pass another player wearing it.
For 2yrs we have seen outfits come, go, annnd REAPPEAR in the store be it for crowns or in crown crates this outfit has yet to return.

In fact the only time it returned was in the 10 million stories event as an rng drop to which I sadly didn't get much of anything.

My question is this When will this costume return?
Will it return to the store or crown crates?
And most importantly to the reason I'm trying to make the official after ages of asking with no response from in game feedback requests etc

If I have crowns in my account aka money and I want this outfit very very very very badly

Can an official just unlock it on my account for the price of it's crown value?

My gt LastAyleidKing
I play on Xbox one
I pre ordered the game when it was announced 2 physical collectors editions...
I paid for eso plus for 10months or so trying to get another cosmetic the loyal dwarven sphere pet only to find out too little too late it was exclusive plus rewards for pc players which some of us could never be as we had no computers but still we invested in the game.
So besides the loyalty rewards I never expect to come to us console players but I see on pc players who hopped to consoles...

I humbly beg in front of the entirety of the eso fan base on which these forums live chanting to you developers on high!

Can I please get the treasure hunter outfit?

(And hypothetically can we look into things like this so we don't go years without the return of some cosmetic things?)

Thank you and sorry for making a question on this I just....I want to hear an OFFICIAL reason as to why it has not returned or whether I can get it and finally not be so sad seeing others enjoy wearing it...

Encounter Logging

With the release of Elsweyr, we're adding the capability for PC players to export group based encounter logs to a local file, located in the Logs folder within your Elder Scrolls Online document folder. These logs can then be uploaded to https://www.esologs.com/, a website created by one of our community members, https://twitter.com/KihraOfTemerity. Here you can do a deep dive into logged combat events within your group to see things like damage, healing, resource usage, and much more.

To start an encounter log, enter "/encounterlog" into chat (without the quotes). Once you're finished, you can type "/encounterlog" a second time to disable logging. You'll see a system message each time letting you know if you've started logging or stopped it. You will need an account on https://www.esologs.com/ and the uploader available there to view your group's logs.

You may remember that years ago, our addon API unintentionally allowed the ability to show group combat data in real time. While we saw a merit in this as tool, we disabled that capability due to the potential for misuse with having this information readily accessible in the game and in real time. Encounter logging provides a deep look into the same data, but external to the game and not in true real time. We believe these distinctions will swing the balance back towards using a tool like this for constructive purposes rather than nefarious ones. Additionally, we have added a setting located in the Combat settings menu that hides your character name from encounter logs. This means any combat events that are logged while you are present will display anonymously.

Uploading your encounter logs privately will be available on PTS, so please feel free to generate and submit encounter logs for the new Sunspire Trial or any of the dungeons. We'll also be giving an overview of the tool tomorrow on ESO Live, so please post any questions you have that you'd like for us to answer.

Just wanted to say Kudos to the people at ZOS who design the 3D model of dragons and how they move. After killing several in overland as well as in Sunspire I have to say they are very very well done ! From the dimensions to the details. And I'm glad because when you start running these trials daily and in the future even more, you really start noticing the details.

Same for the new sench type big fat cats =P

I am tired of bugged BGs, when one team can't get more than 2 players. Let us leave from bugged BGs without getting penalized, If you are not competent enough to fix this issue. There should be no penalty while leaving during "Waiting for players..." stage.

A Fourth Faction: The Imperial Legion

nbwDXxs.jpg

The original idea for Cyrodiil was to have the elder races be loyal to their respective factions, thus since players voiced about being able to play with their friends, Zos opened it to where any race can play in any faction if they buy the race token or the Imperial Edition. What this kind of did was kill the lore and original intent of the game. But it pleased the people. Me being a fan of the lore and of the people, I worry about the Imperials as race. They have no secured homeland and they have no faction, pretty much being isolated from the content that was created for all the other races.

What if we created a fourth faction called: The Imperial Legion which will include a new campaign for that faction?

Who are The Imperial Legion?

The Imperial Legion is the main army of the Empire of Cyrodiil, or what remains of it. They are loyal to the one who sits on the Ruby Throne, which is currently Clivia Tharn, though Mannimarco is secretly the one from which their orders come. Another Tharn, Septima, is the Magus-General of the Imperial forces near High Rock.

During the Interregnum, the Empire fell into disarray and the Imperial Legion gradually lost control of its provinces. As a result, a large Imperial military presence can only be found in various camps throughout Cyrodiil.

So by creating this fourth faction, it will give a PvE version of Cyrodiil and explain what happened and how the Ruby Throne was corrupted--as a story. You will have the option to play three races in this campaign. Imperial, Daedra or Dremora and in doing so you can choose to be loyal to the throne or support the Imperial Legion by rebelling against Mannimarco and his corrupt influences. While the other three factions are fighting over territory, only an Imperial Blood can reign on the Ruby Throne. The Daedra and Dremora will cleverly carve their own pathway as well, finding an opportunity for mischief in this broken battlefield. And even if the races are forbidden to trust them they will fight for their own cause making the Imperial Legion a strong force to be faced in Cyrodiil.

Edited in

Explaining the context of this PvE campaign. Every Faction has a PvE campaign story. The Aldmeri Dominion has the story with Queen Ayrenn who is using a Khajiit spy to infiltrate against her enemies. The Daggerfall Covenant has the story with the High King Emeric who after winning the war against King Ranser is possessed by a Daedra spirit and loses hope in his Kingdom and the Ebonheart Pact has the story revolving around Jorunn The Skald-King who gave up his life as a bard to become a great King. What I am suggesting is to make this fair for the Imperials and create a new faction with its own unique story similar to the other three; revolving around the Imperial Legion (showing what happened before the Alliance war: like a period peace which has been done very good in ESO actually), so they can have some lore as well for that race.

Now...that is only one element.
On the PvP side which I did not go into depth with was how the fourth faction will work and look. The Imperial Legion will have its own hub (with two secured gates protecting their scrolls), similar to the other three. And being that Cyrodiil is so huge, there is enough space to slide that fourth faction in. There will be six connected home keeps, two scrolls (offensive and defensive) and one outpost as well for the Imperials. You can make the Imperial Legion color black since they are in a sense the bad guys in lore having allied with the Daedra and Dremora to protect the throne and keep in mind players will be able to play a Daedra or Dremora as an option in that faction. This will not only create more opportunity for PvP but it will introduce new amazing builds (so that faction can be balanced and face the others) and make the playing field even. Besides no one really wants to be on an odd playing field.

Let me know your thoughts Community? Zos....

This is the official feedback thread for the new item sets and general itemization improvements. Specific feedback that the team is looking for includes the following:
  • Were there any sets you felt were under powered compared to current offerings in the live game?
  • Would you qualify any sets from this patch as "game breaking"? If so, why?
  • Are you considering pairing any of the sets from this patch with existing sets? If so, which ones?
  • Do you have any other general feedback?

There are none! Not the fancy ones at least.

Are you tired of peeing behind the bushes, only to have a mudcrab bite your precious bits? Doing those long Veteran Dungeons and not finding a place to relieve yourself so you just tell your team you'll be right back, and there you are, crouching in a corner.

Well, fear no more citizens! I have build one. And, it is functional.

Would you support ZoS taking a step back to focus on QoL/Bug fixes in 2020?

$

To start I want to say that I put 2020 because 2019 theyre rolling out their year of the dragon so they already have a locked in plan for the entirety of the year.

I also want to say that I don't mean to stop making content all together, obviously some things have to be added and some crown store items have to be created in order to keep the game financially stable. After all, ZoS cant take a monetary loss for an entire year.

What Im talking about is a year where no new zones and dlc packs are added, instead turning the focus of the development team on quality of life improvements and bug fixes for all the previous content. ESO is unique in that it has an almost excessive amount of content for players to complete and with Elsweyr coming up and an entire year of content ahead of us it seems reasonable to that we could survive without tons of new additions to content in 2020, however what many of us cannot do without are fixes to many of the glitches, bugs, and exploits that have been around for years as well as some improvements to overall quality of life.

Cryodiil alone has been plagued with horrific performance for many users since launch.

Kit Rework For Stamina Templar

$

This discussion is obviously my opinion on why the Stamina Templar needs a specific class rework and possibly Templar as a whole.

With certain changes in ESO overall and the development as a game after 5 years, the class needs to be changed, the build template is outdated with certain additions being added.
So from my understanding from the skills and abilities of Templar (specifically stamina). The class was designed to be a melee power house, with an AOE spammable ability such as Biting Jabs to cut down multiple targets (with a damage passive that proc's when using this ability) is where most of the upfront damage comes from on the class, combine these abilities with weapon skill lines such as duel wield or two-handed the class starts getting a bit more damage, and then last but not least the hardest hitting skill in the kit which is power of the light (which is an ability that builds up damage based on copied damage to the target). With all of these skills they are pretty fierce, however the class was designed poorly with certain mechanics built into the game engine such as AoE Caps (meaning that area of effect abilities damage starts gradually decreasing after a certain amount of targets are hit, specifically for PvP). I know that a class should not specifically be designed based off of PvE versus PvP however, with this it means the class is hindered in PvP and excels in PvE mob packs (repentance gives a lot of stamina back when a lot of enemies are slain, but sustain falls off in single target fights). The kit also includes an AoE Ultimate ability Radial Sweep in which you swing an Aedric spear around you (6m Radius) and deal damage to every enemy hit, with a morph that deals physical damage and reduces your damage for each enemy hit (another AoE ability). However again in PvP this skill is hindered from the AoE Cap. So taking in all of this information it appears to be clear that the class is really focused on outnumbered fighting, this is why the class needs to be reworked. Outnumbered fighting can still work, but against trained opponents this kit is destined to fail. Ever since the introduction of Major Evasion where you take less damage from AoE abilities by 25% the class has really suffered damage in PvP environments, where your main spammable ability does less damage then your passive Burning Light that is a RNG roll when trying to connect a channeled ability on moving targets (off-topic you also have to connect the last biting jab to snare the target which I do not agree with especially when almost every class has a snare that is instantly applied that doesn't require manually tracking a target). Hopefully I am getting through to the reader with a trend here, and we can start to understand a core problem.

Now hopefully I've made you realize a few potential problems with the class, but let's start taking this class and applying it to every situation that you may encounter while playing in the game we all love and enjoy. So as an avid player of ESO, I love to do all the content in the game so everything I am writing is really being applied to every aspect of the game not just applied to PvP. Templar class is really sought after in Trials, but lets talk about why. The real reason that Templar is sought after in Trials is really simple because of Power of the Light (due to the ability granting minor fracture, and minor breach, combine this ability and add in some of the strongest healing abilities in the game and magicka templar will be picked over stamina almost every time) the reason for this is because it is the only ability that applies these unique buffs. And as a goal of an end game trial group having every unique buff and de-buff in the game is warranted in order to reach the top possible score for raids burning down trial bosses so fast that you are capable of skipping the mechanics of the fight to reduce the chances of any one member losing their life in the trial. But to think that you have to be a stamina templar in order to achieve this feat is simply naive, stamina templar's aren't the sought after one and the ability to put Power of the Light on a magicka templar is very easy and is done quite frequently. In fact Stamina Templar's really aren't the greatest in PvE either really (not saying that my class should be the top of every other class, wink wink). The fact of the matter is, with the way the game is designed currently there are very few ways to achieve the highest potential DPS (Damage per second) in the game and I am sure we are all familiar with what the set ups are. But just to shine some light generally most stamina classes follow a bow duel wield build, taking advantage of Maelstrom Arena bow endless hail and caltrops, followed by a static rotation. And just to clarify this current patch nightblades really outshine any other class in this by a generous amount. Why should I be discussing this information? Well, I wanted the reader to get a generalized idea that most classes follow the same rotation so it is easy to compare to one another. Stamina Templar is lack luster in this simply for the fact that their spammable ability is a channeled ability in the simplest answer I can give. So if you think about it, to achieve the maximum damage of Biting Jabs you have to hit the target with every single jab, with a channeled time of 1.1 seconds you need to wait 1.1 seconds to do the full amount of damage. When you compare that to a class such as a stamina nightblade who's main spammable ability is Surprise attack which is an instant cast ability the damage starts to pull in favor of the class that can just instantly cast the ability. Now one could assume that stamina templar should easily being doing more damage then a stamina nightblade because of the passive Burning light being applied when a stamina templar uses their ability right? Of course, that would make sense but then you add a class execute onto nightblade, and it suddenly out damages a stamina templar by a marginal amount. (if you were curious about Jabs comparison to Surprise attack here is a screen shot of the skills being used 5 times on a 6m target dummy with 0 gear, same food, and same mundus, with similar CP, also note these tests were done on the PTS with the reduced time to Biting Jabs and the new Surprise Attack change.)

g5o5OjC.png rM31eAC.png

Now with these numbers we can safely confirm that having an instant cast ability will out perform a channeling one based on current damage numbers (note those comparisons were done with no gear same food and similar CP, also please understand that it is very very hard to have an exact test with 0 crits or 100% crits and compare them). Something more interesting starts to happen when these instant cast abilities are paired with Light Attack weaving as well, something that wont be as successful with a channeled ability. This is where my complaint comes with the new change to Empowering Sweep on the PTS (Empowering Sweep (morph): Redesigned this morph to offer damage, rather than survivability. The damage pulse after the initial hit now lasts 6 seconds at base, but is increased by 2 seconds for each enemy hit, up to a maximum of 6 enemies. It also now grants Empower for the duration, rather than Major Protection.). This change was designed to give a bit more oomph to the Stamina Templar but it is counter intuitive, you see the ultimate is an Area of Effect ultimate so assuming you use it on more then one enemy you would then only have damage for your light attacks, but your main spammable attack is Biting Jabs a channeled ability that is not very successful with light attack weaving as we just discussed. My solution would be to grant Minor Berserk to the Ultimate but this is just my own personal feedback. So what am I saying here with all of this typing the design of Stamina Templar is flawed greatly. Simple number adjustments would be okay, sure. But overall the Kit / core design of the class from my understanding is to be able to fight outnumbered and receive it's resources back through Repentance (Consecrate the souls of the fallen, healing you and your allies for 2702 Health and restoring 2702 Stamina to you each corpse in the area.) And yes this would be fantastic if smart healing and AoE caps did not exist, with the introduction of Champion Points the mitigation in the game has been increased, the healing as well, and the damage, but the damage is not at the same rate of growth as other defensive utilization in champion points, especially for a class that is designed to play against a lot of enemies. I don't want to complain just to complain, I hope I am able to present problems that I see with this class, and I also hope that we are all starting to come to certain realizations about this class.

So, now lets move on to the next question we should all be thinking. What can we do? That's a great question what can we do, I know redesigning skills is a big sigh, but hey someone gets paid for it right? (Yeah im talking to you combat team, im trying to get you those big $). I am by no means a combat designer, and I have no idea what the perfect solutions to these problems that I am presenting are, but some possible suggestions I have for these problems would be the ability to remove AoE caps so the design of fighting larger amounts of players will be more effective (but the downside of this would mean damage done to large amounts of players would go up greatly), also adjusting damage numbers and account for buffs such as major evasion. Maybe even letting power of the light's copied damage be able to crit would also help greatly, or the ability to stack multiple power of the lights on a single target similar to Sorcerers Curse. An idea of Biting Jab's not being a channeled AoE also would help Stamina Templar as well. This is purely my own constructive feedback on Stamina Templar as a whole from my 200 days of play time, I love this class I am sad of being below average and would love some combat love to be applied to Stamina Templar, especially with the upcoming release of a strong burst class (make sure you get Elsewyr Necro is incredible!). The point of me typing all of this would be to get some acknowledgement of the class falling off the bandwagon so to speak, and falling down the totem pole close to the bottom. To make some awareness of core problems the class is suffering from and hopefully assist in making some much needed changes to help put the class back on par with other classes to help take a direction of balance to the game. Thank you all for taking the time to read this, feel free to post some disagreements you have or point out some flaws in my discussion, or even if you have some suggestions of your own to throw out.

Please note the suggestions for "What can we do" was to keep the community interested in the post to express their own concerns and encourage livelihood in this discussion, I do not want to make suggestions to ZOS or tell them what to do in any way.

Guys I am scared... I know it is early on and the Elsweyr chapter has just been announced but we have not heard anything about the Akavari in Rimmen. I mean we know Khajiit and Imperials apparently live there but, what about the Tsaechi and their temple? This is one of the most important lore factors for the city in the second era and I won't know how to feel except disappointment if they're left out. Thoughts?

Should repentance work on necromancer corpses? Currently it does not. What do you guys think?
  • Repentance (morph)
    • Consecrate the souls of the fallen, healing you and your allies for 2702 Health and restoring 2702 Stamina to you for each corpse in the area.
    • While slotted, you gain Minor Fortitude, Minor Endurance, and Minor Intellect, increasing Health, Stamina, and Magicka Recovery by 10%.
    • No Longer applies Minor Magickasteal on activation, instead, you consume corpses to restore Health and Stamina.

First off, it makes no sense that summerset is the ONLY shores or oceans with clams.
Secondly, Clam Gall drops are RNG from clams as most of the time you get fish, a poison reagent and worms which make clam gall rare for the limited amount of utility they bring.
Thirdly, Giant Clams in Summerset are SO rare and fare-spread! Walking from the southern most shore to the norther most shore of summerset will nab you just 1-3 clams! Good luck getting clam gall 😖
