What class should I use to make a Emp Run?

To clarify; I PVP for lulz. I build my characters extremely ugly, named rather annoying things, but I do enjoy doing it, and I've gotten decent at it. I apologize for the jumble of info ahead.

I'm deciding on which character I would want to take into Cyro for an under 50 (Kyne) emp run, and my setup for it.

My best played characters thus far in any sort of PVP have been stam and mag sorc, and magwarden.

As a magsorc: (First PVP, test build) I played kyne, and battlegrounds extensively. I performed very well. (although, under 50s arent a huge show of skill, but when you do 30+ kills, 1-2 deaths. Meh) I was able to reach (Or at least logged out as) 4th highest score in the EP for Kyne last week. My problem: I hated using twilight for a heal. it was more readily available than burst heals. But the slots were too much room on both bars. Negating NPCS/players were also annoying. Especially in close quarters outposts/etc. But otherwise, easy 1vX idea.

Stamsorc: (Used one PVP build, battlegrounds only at that point) The lad was an absolute beast. He still holds my best BG record yet. (38-0)(Yes, I have screenshots.). I absolutely loved playing this build, but I'm not sure how well it'll hold up in AvA verse something like my magsorc.

Magwarden: What can I say? Ice... Permafrost.. heals? Very good performance in BG.

As for gear; I typically craft gear for under 50s. Mag toons usually in Julianos/Iniate Axiom with a random 2pc. (Been using Willows path for extra mag recov)

Stamina is usually: Shackle/Hundings Hundings/Sloads usually with 2pc of Gladiator, for extra crit.

i am mostly a 7-8 trait crafter, and have a 9 trait friend available if they were needed.


i do understand that AvA is also more of a "who plays the longest" type of thing score-wise (I placed 4th, mostly going in solo, joining randoms, and running around for a few hours for a few days)

But, I want to know. What classes would you recommend, gear, ETC. Or are my ideas good enough to survive more AvA than I'm giving them credit for? I played a lot more BGs than Cyro, so I'm trying to revamp my builds for max efficiency in Cyro.

This would be a very interesting idea , for seasonal or special rewards.
unique armor or weapon sets that you can only obtain for a limited time and cant ever get again unless you buy from another player

Let's cut to the chase: You can slot this "Spammable" skill, but without using it, ever!

Yes, we found out about this on stamDK, in which we just slot Molten Whip on front bar to gain the Seething Fury passive and maintain it more than 80% of the time. IMO, giving stamDK a dynamic passive to keep up like this is very interesting, but Molten Whip is just a very strange choice to put this passive on.

But then I realized something: We can do this same *** with magDK, and just use Elemental Weapon as a spammable instead.

Ok, but is it really a good idea to slot Whip for its passive alone and use Ele Wep instead? Not really, especially in longer fight (which is a lot). In execute phase you can easily stack 3x Seething Fury by spamming 3 times Flame Of Oblivion then Whip for tons of damage. In this case, you will easily outdamage the Ele Wep setup. But then again, the fact that we can just slot Whip and use something else entirely is just... wrong.

Last week I'm still very 50/50 on whether or not we should give this passive to a spammable skill, but now I'm convinced that this is a very ill-advice idea. It's an insult to the design of every single DK dps by slotting our most iconic skill just as a placeholder.

My suggestion for this is simple: Either move this passive to Molten Weapon (a very underused skill) or just move it to Searing Heat, a very pointless passive in the Ardent Flame skill line that most players don't even know about its existence.

And please, I know this is a dead meme already, but beating a dead horse is my passion, so dare I say this again: PLEASE JUST CHANGE MOLTEN WHIP INTO A STAM SKILL AND DEAL PHYSICAL DAMAGE. THE ADDED EFFECT CAN BE MINOR LIKE "REDUCED COST" OR "DEAL SLIGHTLY MORE DAMAGE". PLEASE!!! LET ME BACKFLIP AND WHIP MY ENEMIES ON MY STAMDK!!!!!

Also, writing in all caps is my other passion.

Lunar Lattice is a relative young guild, killing trial bosses since october 2018.
At the present day the guild has two fixed raidgroups: FullMoon and NewMoon.

Fullmoon was the original group that emerged from the ashes of the last raidgroup in Omnia Vincit.
Newmoon started raiding in january 2019.

FullMoon: thursday and friday (20h30 - 22h30)

I've healed forever in this game, and a loooooong time ago, I switched to a lightning staff backbar. I use my backbar for some debuffs and buffs. I keep altar on there since altar is a percentage heal, wouldn't benefit being on a healing bar vs. a resto bar. I do use Ele Drain (a destro skill), but have replaced that with Radiant Aura, since that applies to areas around me. Now, I also use Elemental Blockade to set enemies off balance, but that got nerfed a few patches ago.

So, why am I still using it?

Can we have bed clickable sleep animations please...

so you click the bed and your character auto goes to the sleep animation on the bed.
as easy as when you click a chair you sit

Shouldn't Have Items & Locations Shown That You Can't Get To

I've run across *dozens* of Thieves Troves, but can't get them because I don;t have the "Thieves Guild Skill Line" - If I haven't bought the Thieves Guild DLC (which I haven't), imho, I should not be seeing these - same for the other DLC location/dungeons. It's simply irritating.

While this game is not as badly pay-to-win as Path Of Exile, it IS irritating that people can spend money and get more out of the game and have more success. I'm all for monetizing things like skins and decorations, etc, but not items that assist you in completing the game better/faster/easier.

JMHO.

I don't see how you can just change to an alt, and pretend you did not just rack up hundreds of thousands of gold in a bounty, and get away with it lets make Bounties account wide, after all the characters are known by an account name so why don't they share a bounty o:) >:)

It got so much worse after the so called "server hardware upgrade". I just spent 20 min in cyro playing a jogging simulator (No I should not have to suicide) and that isn't the first time, seriously we are paying customers...If you would go into a cinema and the movie starts 30 min late and stutters no one would say "eh its fine lets try again later"... We at least have the right to a working server without broken DF/BG queues, long loading screens, bad performance and game breaking bugs.

The dark cloak change is hitting the wrong target, let me explain why:

In PVP on live, stamblades uses Forward Momentum to get snare immunity, this was pretty much bis for heavy stamblade. Now we get snare immunity from Phantasmal Escape(double take), this means stambaldes will re-morph FM to Rally and get a burst heal.
So in conclusion stamblades in pvp looses pretty much nothing; we gain minor protaction for 8 seconds(+hot), minor protection beeing more useful in pvp then pve(oblivion damage/bleeds). We replace that burstyness of dark cloak with Rally and the only thing that goes away is the speed buff from double take.

In pve however, nightblade tanks looses their "burstheal", they have no opportunity to get the heal from somewhere else and because most tanks have relatively high resistance and the encounters to bleeds and oblivion damage are minimal(most of the time healed away) we don't benefit much from 8 seconds of minor protection.

Magblade is also hurt by the current PTS version, and tbh we don't need a nerf.

Conclusion: Revert the skills to it's current state on live, it's better "balanced" as it is.

I've been playing this game for five years now. In that time, I've developed a lot of relationships and friendships with many players.

Don't force me to abandon those friendships.

I have multiple guilds that I play with. My AD guild plays twice a week. My pals on DC play on two different nights. Both groups play the same server, because that's where the fights are.

Your re-introduction of faction locks will force me to choose one of those two groups to outright abandon and no longer play with. *** that. *** that so much.

Several years ago we had this debate. Your team elected to remove faction locks after recognizing that they didn't accomplish much beyond artificially preventing people from playing with their friends.

Since that time, many players have taken advantage of the freedom you chose to give back to us to make alts, play with new people, and join groups on different alliances.

Don't fragment your community even more than it already is. I can't believe you had to bring this back up, when the issue was settled years ago for the better.

Edit:

Lock rewards to the first faction you log in on, fine. I'll live with that. But don't outright block me from logging on and playing with my friends.

Would you like to have a class change token available, now that we're getting yet another new class?

Honestly this should've been a thing for years already. There are so many players who love to stick to their one special character, that gets all the attention and with the scale of things this game has to offer it's impossible to just make a new character with the same worth as the last.

Think of not just leveling a new character from 1-50... That's not the issue.

What makes us want a class change are things like:
1) Completed quests, adventures
2) Earned personal achievements
3) Character's backstory/RP
4) Earned skill lines & Skyshards
5) PvP Rank and Titles
6) Crafting Skills and Research progress
7) Special connection with said character
8) Time limitations for all of the above

And of course in some cases:

9) Dissatisfaction with the direction of our main character's class or desire to try something new.

All of the things in these points above can take up to months and even years to replicate on a fresh start character. Something so complicated and time consuming that many of us would rather quit the game than do all of this all over again, if we suddenly lost our main characters.

Can we please consider this? ZOS? The profit for you is that this would generate insane amounts of revenue. Especially if implemented well.
a) Make Cadwell's Gold a baseline requirement for class change tokens!
b) AND add a 6-12 month cooldown (accountwide) to the purchase of this token.
c) Price them at 5000 Crowns minimum.

This way everyone will have to keep making alts too. Let dedicated main character players enjoy their side of the endgame as well.
I think all players having completed Caldwell’s Gold on a character should unlock one class change token to that character as a reward for completing such a feat. If they monetize them, price it at 5000 Crowns and I won’t mind as much.

To all the people who say nobody would play this game if we had class change tokens, why do people play FFXIV? You can change your class whenever you want in that game yet their population is just as healthy as ESO's, if not healthier.

Seems to me like current direction is removing base classes from competitive play in order to sell new classes with everything they have taken away from base classes.
