What is the counter to blocking?


Last two AMD drivers cause flickering Grass so heavily grass has to be turned off or driver reverted

AMD Crimson ReLive 17.2.1 driver WHQL and AMD Radeon Software Crimson ReLive 17.1.2 driver both cause an issue with Grass flickering in ESO. Heavily, to the point the game cannot be played it is so abrasive.


Please pay attention to this. I am stopping my ESO subscription and playing POE for now until this is resolved, as I need the other benefits these new drivers are providing. In one revision is one thing, two is too much.

Hey,,

today sonys boost mode comes to ps4. Is there any chance, that this will improve my fps in ESO?

I know ESO has an 4k mode, but sonce I dont own a 4k TV I play on a regular mode, so i am looking at them boost mode.

So, recently I decided to start trying out a pet centered build. and by pet centered, I mean pet centered.

These are the sets I'm using:
Necropotence
Maw of the Infernal
Morkuldin

Skills:
Both Bars:
Twilight Tormentor
Unstable Clannfear
Bound Armor
Inner Light

Front bar: Puncture/Trapping Webs (role dependant)
Back Bar: Daedric Prey

So, I don't have much wiggle room for adding in skills to increase my own damage (I know that I could, but I want to be pet centered)

However, this build type is absolutely shite in terms of outgoing damage, even though there can be a total of 6 different mobs (I count myself as a mob, cause I do negligible damage with this build).

Let's break it down:
Maw of Infernal Daedroth attacks: 4257 physical damage basic attacks, a conal fire breath attack that ticks for about 60% damage per 0.5 sec over 2 sec. basic attacks occur about once every 2 seconds. Which means that the daedroth adds 2.1K dps up to 5K dps AoE, while summoned. (10% chance to summon on light/heavy attack)

Morkuldin: 4551 physical damage basic attacks, attacking around once every second, pausing now and then. netting about 3.8K damage per second while active. (10% chance to summon on light or heavy attacks)

Using sets nets about 6K to 9K dps assuming constant uptime | using daedric prey nets: 9.1K to about 13.7K dps assuming constant uptime. I'd cut this in half assuming on average 7 sec at the higher end to proc.

At 38K Magicka:

Storm Atronauch: continuous damage over time, ticks about once per second. deals roughly 3.5K damage each tick. 3.5K dps, not a constant uptime, so cut in half to 1.7K dps.

Twilight Matriarch: 3.7K damage per attack, attacking once every two seconds. netting about 1.9K damage per second.

Unstable Clannfear: about 1.4K damage per attack, attacks once every two seconds. netting about 0.7K damage per second.

Using Daedric Summons nets about 4.3K dps | 6.5K dps with daedric prey

Constant uptime summons: 2.6K dps
Partial Uptime: 6.2K to 8.6K dps

general dps estimated at 8.8K to 11.2K

Actual testing on a Robust Skeleton
When I actually took this test onto a robust skeleton, I sat and auto attacked it for a solid 3 minutes and 9 seconds. the dps rating stood at a whooping 4.7K dps including my auto attacks.
This was without daedric prey.
Tried it again with over 3 minutes, and got 6.1K dps using combat metrics. This is all without the storm atro.
with the atro and daedric prey i got 7.2K dps

So a 5 pet build using a monster set, armor set, and daedric prey, nets less damage than a stamina nightblade spamming Surprise Attack and weaving without criting or using any other skills. This is of course ignoring the volatile familiar and the Twilight tormentor passives. the volatile familiar I remember when i used it dealt about 5k per tick, every two seconds, for a whopping 2.5K dps bonus, and the twilight tormentor adds about an additional 1 - 2K dps. each of these can be effected by daedric prey. If I remember prior to homestead i got up to around 10K dps.

So it doesn't fare too well. I've only ever used this build while tanking in dungeons, using the healing morphs of the daedric summons.

So, I would love to see a set that improves the damage output of your pets. Here is my proposal:

Pack Mentality

This set increases the damage of your pets for every pet you have active in the field. This would be best as a crafted set too.

(2 piece bonus): Increase max Health by 1064
(3 piece bonus): Increase max Magicka by 967
(4 piece bonus): Increase max Stamina by 967
(5 piece bonus): For every pet Active, your pets light and heavy attacks deal an additional 25% damage.

So, looking at the above stats, you wold likely see an increase of dps to the tune of 9K dps. Adding up to a total of 16.2K dps. This, however, would still not make an end game pet focused build viable at all, but would allow people to make a pet central build that isn't sorely lacking in dps.

What d'yall think? Is there be a better way to allow pets to deal more damage? Do you see problems with this set? Are my Calculations/Estimations off?

What should I be at for Magicka as a mag sorc

I'm sitting at 3.1k weapon damage (fully self buffed with weapon damage enchant) 20k Health, 10k stam and 34k Magicka. I'm struggling a bit with sustain, is that from my rotation, double casting maybe? Or is that just lower Magicka, my Regen is decent, I'm using Julianos and vicious death so no 5 set bonus to help either.

Immortal guards are getting REALLY annoying.

So, I did some thievery and botched it a bunch of times and landed myself with a 10k bounty. I currently have 0 gold. I am trying to find a Daedra heart in a container in a town, like the old days, but every time I try and walk around to get from house to house to look, I get swarmed by 1-3 guards, and I have no chance of fighting back because they are GODS (WHYY???) and they constantly chain pull me and stun me whenever I try to run away, so my only real option is to just stand there and die.

Please for the love of god, make guards killable, this just isn't fun after a while.

Empower buff and templars

Darkflare gives empower buff but it only gets full effect from 4 class skills: Darkflare, Focused Charge, Javelin, and only the radial sweep ultimate.

3 of those can proc burning light which consumes the buff so it's basically only reliably good at buffing the same skill that gives the buff lol.

Sun fire only gets buff on initial hit which is small but not the DoT so it is a waste.

Why can't channels be buffed since they have so many drawbacks already just due to the mechanics?

I was just wondering what the community finds more fun between the two. I am having a good time with both, but would like to focus one primarily, while leveling the other on the side. A little background on playstyle would be appreciated, but I am looking to level both at some point. They are both pretty fun so far, still pretty low level. I am just having a hard time choosing a "main" magicka class.

I'm sure it's been asked before @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_ANYONE_ELSE, but is there a reason 2H weapons can't count for 2 pieces of a set? If this has been answered elsewhere, could someone please direct me to the explanation?
Having 11 "pieces" with a 2H weapon while Dual Wielding provides 12 seems unnecessarily limiting in build options.

BSW sword and shield magdk?

Managed to get a bsw sharp sword and a divines shield while farming for breeches on my sorcerer. Could I use 3pc jewels and 2pc sword and shield for Magicka DK PvP? Combined with skoria or grothdar and a sustain set could it be a viable PvP setup?

Hey guys did a bit of research but I'd just like to ask a quick question.

I'm new to this whole master writ thing and don't do a lot of crafting admittedly, however I REALLY want to get my hands on the Ebony Greatsword motif, which apparently costs 25 vouchers.

How exactly do you obtain these vouchers, and with only 3 crafts maxed at 50 (Blacksmith/Clothing/Woodworking) how long am I looking at to obtain 25 vouchers?

Werewolf light/heavy attacks and melee weapon expert cp

Been playing around with a WW build and would like to know if WW light and heavy attacks get damage bonus from the Atronach tree. For example if I am dual wielding or 1h before I transform, does melee weapon expert bonus damage still apply after transformation ? I know that after transformation I lose weapon passives, but i retain enchants/poisons and traits, just not sure about weapon expert cp.

can we mount like this in eso plz?

I recently made an alt one using Bloodspawn, Armor Master, and Footmans. Sturdy small pieces and Reinforced Large.

He tanks exceptionally well and he provides the group additional spell critical and 5% spell damage as well as minor fracture/breach from Power of the Light, and the damage itself. Easily achieves 38k in both resists (40k hard cap 35k soft cap) with purple gear. Emergency group heal from ulti, warhorn, cleanse.

Why exactly do people never consider Templar Stamtanks as viable?
