How does pvp work for you?

I haven't logged in yet to pvp due to limited time I have. But I am curious how pvp is for you since the latest update.

Bug: unable to cast ground-targeted abilities

Since the last Update (Elsweyr patch, monday 20/05) there has been an issue for me on all of my healers: I am at times unable to cast ground-targeted abilities (illustrious healing, budding seeds, conduit, spear shards)

I have since tried to find the reason for this and was succesfull:
- When doing a lightning staff attack, that is neither a light attack nor a fully charged heavy attack, the game seems to assume that you want to finish the heavy attack and thus 1) slows you down and 2) prevents you from casting ground-targeted abilities.
You can still: ele drain, combat prayer, send orbs; everything but aimed abilities is still possible.

Now, since it is mostly healers, that use a lightning staff backbar and use that backbar to often to non-fully charged heavy attacks it makes sense, that in my trial groups it is always both healers complaining about this issue. It is 100% reproduceable for me.

I made a point to only do light attacks or fully charged heavy attacks on my lightning staff bar and could thus successfully not trigger the bug, medium charged attacks on my restoration staff also do not bug me out.
The problem is: sometimes players need to break off heavy attacks, before they are fully charged, especially healers (since we might want to give our group members some attention and 2 secounds is a long time in some fights) and it is very punishing to not be able to cast illustrious healing, one of the strongest ground based heals used mostly in situations, where we expect high damage incoming for a limited amount of time.
Even when specifically trying to not do medium charged attacks, if you have a targeting issue when trying to light attack I still got the bug, because the game assumed I was charging up a heavy attack.

To sum up the rant:
PLEASE fix medium attacks on lightning staves! They are widely used by healers and depriving us from placing ground-targeted attacks is a big issue for us.

Hi there, I have the Imperial pack from launch and I'd like to return to the game. That said, I'd like to have access to everything, including Elsweyr (I'm on PC). Do I need to buy the monthly sub, the expansion, or both?

- Bring back pre-one Tamriel, different factions shouldn't be able to play together - since you're choosing an alliance, then you're taking a side whether you're in Cyrodiil or not

- Bring back Cadwell's silver and gold - no access to zones beyond your questing progress

- Remove wayshrines because what kind of immersion is *** fast travel????

- In order to level mages guild you will now have to pass a questionnaire based on every lorebook you read

-Remove being able to buy mount upgrades. You shall practice every day

All because of immersion right ? I mean Cyrodiil gets to have factionlock why shouldn´t that kind of immersion apply to other things aswell, like in the bulletpoints above SMILE : )

And no, its not that Blastbones are bugged…

Its that all the summoning spells come so late in the tree… I have no problem with temporary pets, I actualy like that, since it shows that for the Necromancer, the dead are just tools to do a job and then go away, but I think its really sad that the only early summon you get is Blast bones.

Skeletal Mage is a level 30 skill, Grave Grasp is a level 42 skill and Spirit mender is a level 30 spell…

Im just saying, I think its a bit sad, that you have to wait so long for your Necromancer to actually start necromancing…

Guild Finder: Received Applications almost unusable

Ok, the Guild Finder functionality is in theory one of the best additions to the game in a long time, but we've found the receiving end of those applications at the guild end is a complete bug ridden mess and verging on unusable so far.

Bugs we've found:
  • List of applications isn't constant.... remove or approve an application and the previous list changes to different people.
  • When clicking accept or reject it doesn't always action that person... you often see that its added or removed an entirely different person... often one that wasn't even showing on the list of applications on the screen! This makes it totally pot luck as to whether you got the person you wanted, or you may have rejected a member you would have wanted.
  • The CP shown on the application isn't the persons account CP... its the level of the charachter they happened to be logged in on. EG: If they are on a new level 3 Necromancer, you may reject them as too low, but their account could be CP810.
  • The pre-filled response message section allows you to write a pre-defined rejection message. But when you actually reject, that message is cut in half. The actual reject box only allows half the charachters of the pre-defined msg box.
  • In the guilds 'History' section that shows who joined and who invited... it now randomly shows 'Unknown' instead of actual player names. This makes it harder to right click on their name to send welcome emails easily.
  • The 'Notification' to tell you how many applications are waiting to be reviewed is showing totally incorrect numbers.
  • The 'Minimum CP' section doesn't do anything... and doesn't prevent players below the minimum from applying.

This has created extremely long wided and manual processes, and has meant we've lost players we wanted to accept, and accepted some we didn't. @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom would you be able to pass this to the appropriate team if I ask really nicely? ;)

Volendrung and emp

It was 3am in the morning so I may have just been hallucinating, but ep had Volendrung while their faction also had emp today/last night/this morning (time zones ...).
Is it true? Can the faction that has emperor (and might also own all or most of the map) also wield Volendrung?

If so that must be one of the most ridiculous things that has ever been implemented into Cyrodiil. It should be a mechanic that helps equalize unbalanced games, not something that makes any imbalance even worse.

OK, lets look at the things Stamblade has right in their class setup.

One of the best single Target spammable - Surprise Attack
Best AoE spammable - Power extraction
best Execute - Killer's blade
One of the best gap closers - Ambush
Sustain tool - Leeching Strikes
In-class offresource selfheal - Dark cloak
Burst skill - Relentless focus

The only thing they lacked in their class arsenal was a class DoT.

Guess what, they now have a class DoT as well with new shade. The new dual scaling Dark Shade is a Single target/AoE DoT which outdamages Poison Injection and has double duration. This is a big buff to PvE stamblades and fill the only gap in the arsenal of bow/bow stamblade(lacks of DoTs). In fact, it uses Magicka to cast, so is essentially free.
yes, I know Minor Berserk and major fracture was removed, but none of that matters in PvE, if anything the Surprise attack change is a buff.

Fun fact - NB shadow archer morph Shadow image equates necro Skeletal Archer/mage is in terms of DPS while having utility. The other shadow warrior morph Dark Shade beats Skeletal mage/archer by a significant margin and also has an AoE aspect to it. YES, NIGHTBLADE PET IS APPARENTLY STRONGER THAN NECROMANCER PET.

So I have basically stopped playing ESO and decided to cancel my sub. This I have found to be impossible. I don't know if ESO is just making this as hard as possible or if they have created a process that will allow them to continue billing people for an extra month or more?

So after digging around in the support area of the ESO site I found this:

PC/Mac accounts

To cancel your ESO Plus membership on a PC/Mac account you should follow these steps:

Log into the ESO account here: account.elderscrollsonline.com.
Select Manage Membership under the "My Account" section at the left-hand side.
Select Cancel Membership and confirm by clicking Please cancel my membership.
A banner will appear at the top of the page to confirm that the recurring membership is no longer active.
Note that the Account ESO Plus status changed to "Cancelled."
When completed, an e-mail from The Elder Scrolls Online will arrive, confirming the cancellation..

So then I go to the account link. I log in and suprise suprise there is no Manage Membership link to select!

I was reduced to putting in a support ticket explaining why I want to cancel my subscription. Disgusting to say the least.

I am calling out ESO and Bethesda for this soft scam. It is making what should be an easy process into an impossible one. I have submitted a ticket and I await your reply. If another payment is removed from my account please realise that this is being done without my permission.

RNG is trash, running a dungeon 16 times in a row on vet and normal, and still not obtaining the item you need is ridiculous, that's not a grind at all. RNG in this game is terrible, and on top of that half the time the random group your in won't respond to you on such items your farming for. And trying to find a group that you know willing to help out sucks as well. Sorry I had to rant, because doing this takes away from all other aspects of the game.

Anyone else finding Necromancer underwhelming?

Dont get me wrong, the animations are beautiful but it just feels like a less effective Sorc with spoopy themes.

Blastbones is glitched and does far less damage than the tooltip implies it should, not to mention its horrendous pathing and the fact that they can be killed in pvp.

The class lacks many things that most other classes have such as an execute and while you can pick these up with weapon skills the passives actively (passively?) Discourage you from doing so if youre a dps.

The beautiful flaming doom balls are weak compared to other classes spammables and the ricochet skulls fail to properly proc sometimes.

Its just a bit surprising it was allowed to make it to live in the state its in.

I dont have the most powerhouse pc build in the world, but its pretty good. gtx 1080, i7-8700k@4.2Ghz, I can run nearly any game in the settings I want.

ESO However, I have literally everything turned all the way down except texture quality which is at high (middle setting) and subsampling (because turning it down further is like putting layers of saran wrap on my screen)

I sit at a comfy 100-110 fps in unpopulated places, but even relaxing in stormhaven i drop to 70s, but thats still playable. In my sunspire runs tonight, i fell to ~30fps. One of the biggest reasons to play on pc is better hardware, better performance, but thats not the case in eso.

I dont think gou has much to do with it, it rarely does in mmos. The problem seems to be cpu utilization.

Blizzard recently did a bout of upgrades on wow, improving multi-threaded performance with dx12, and it was a pretty solid 20-30 fps increase in every situation of the game. Id absolutely love to see some more optimization.

Overload better weaving and more damage to non sustain morph.

More damage to lighting flood

Dark Exchange back at 1.2 seconds instead of 1.4

Pets heal less in PvP

Pets got full health in PvP

Crystal frags is faster by 50%

Negate continues to negate enemy placed aoes.

Ancient Sites Explorer Costume Review, with dye testing.

Despite having a too high price for my liking, the costume seems to be close to the Tavern Maid costume dye-wise. Meaning it dyes quite well, though there are some differences:
* Red dyes seem to work a tiny bit better, but not as good as they do on other costumes I have.
* Glossy dyes will have a reduced shine to them (I approve!). Though they will still make the fabric somewhat glossy.

Other than that. The costume looks to be well done with nice details and no weird body morphs or visual glitches of what I could see. Though I haven't checked across many characters yet.

As for how it dyes, here are the pictures we like! I tried vary both colours and matte/glossy dyes.

1- Default. 2- Birch White. 3- Woodsman Green. 4- Bugloss Blue.

I'd say it dyes almost true to colour. With some slight shade differences on some dyes.

Edit: Adding a picture of the costume on a couple of different characters. Sadly I don't have a slim male character right now.
The costume is fitted at the chest, but the vest is thick so it adds a little bulk. The trousers are slightly loose.
