WRATH OF THE DRAGONS - PC/EU - PVE&PVP

We have 480+ members and growing. We use DISCORD to socialize, organize events and do learning sessions (individually or with a group). Guild trader!. Main faction of the guild is EP but we accept any faction.

New, old and returning players are welcome. Plenty of exp players that will help you with any aspect of the game, feel free to ask for help and join events!

English is spoken in guild chat and we have people from almost everywhere in the world. There is always someone running n/v dungeons and other events and an average of 50-60 people (or more!) online so you'll never have to do content alone unless you want to!

Eventhough we are mostly doing PvE events atm, we welcome any pvp players and are still looking for a PvP Officer

We do nTrials every other everyday, some farm runs and some learning runs. It's a great moment to join and GROW with us towards endgame. We just started doing learning runs for people that are new to trials again so if you are hesitant if you should start doing them, just join us and start having fun!

At learning trials we take time to explain mechanics so everyone understands why we do things and will make sure everyone is geared up. We organize farm trial runs for those who don't have all the items to complete their builds and get the minimum DPS for vTrials

As soon as you reach 160CP you can ask any of the master crafters to craft you a full beginner set for your role/class. We will help you decide what build suits you best and have guides for almost each role. We have a google form you can fill to get your itmes crafted by one of our many mster crafters!

Discord is not mandatory but recommended, at least to listen. For harder content it will be mandatory to listen and to speak for tank and healers (warhorn etc...)

Why you should join us?

- If you like to have fun and socialize
- If you are mature and fairly active
- If you wanna improve
- If you want to help anyone else improve

Why you shouldn't join us?

- If you are rude, arrogant or racist/sexist
- If you are elitist/hardcore player (nothing against them, is just that we are not that)

Send me a mail ingame to join: @Boratkan or use the new guild search function to apply!

Lack of Response from Admins (All Bugs)

Before I get banned in my first few posts, I just want to say I feel that this post is incredibly true, justified and relevant to the community. It needs to be said from someone outside of in replies. A thread FOCUSED on the lack of responses from admins here in the forums.

I didn't even sign up for these forums until now. I'm over FIVE YEARS in playing ESO. I have over a month of my life devoted to my main character (37 days). I have probably 3 - 4 months devoted to alts I've played. I love this game through and through and always will. But, lately, bugs have gotten to the point where I have shelved my newest character that I've been the most excited to play (like much of the community), my NECRO tank. I have issues with bodies not being lootable, including now multiple dungeon or world bosses. I have skills that don't fire at all or at the correct time (timing wise) and yes I've gone through all PC troubleshooting on my PC gaming rig that costs over 2.5k... I have lag issues and longer load times that were not to be seen before Elsweyr.

I see countless submissions of these bugs in the forums over the last few weeks, months. What I don't see is anyone here from the admin side saying ANYTHING just to acknowledge the larger bugs at hand. These bugs are the ones ruining this game and forcing people to either stop playing for the time being or leave altogether.

You have a brand new class, in a brand new chapter that is almost unplayable for likely 30 - 50% of the community based on what I can tell. And not one admin or moderator has said a word to just LET US KNOW what is going on. That the team is aware, that the issue is being looked at. Give us a date of a patch or a rough idea on when we might see a fix. The response and service that the game has these days is extremely lackluster and is making me (a long time ES fan) and plenty of others lose their faith in Tamriel. I know one fan probably doesn't matter. But, I've poured my heart and soul into this game and my characters. I champion ESO to all my friends, to my online communities, I back it up during the times where it has seen declines and gone downhill. I have been here through every release of DLC, Chapters, etc.

Why is it that we can't just get responses??? I know folks are busy from E3, I know there are other games to worry about, other places to monitor, etc. But, if the community truly was the most important thing, we'd be acknowledged and spoken to as if we were. Heck, hire a part time employee to monitor, push these issues up to the correct teams, get responses and forward them to us. That can't be that difficult with the money this game pulls in from the crown store alone.

PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE US MORE. The lack of responses in this forum is completely disheartening. Why is it even here at this point?

Can someone explain to me why we cant access the 30 day campaign as a guest on a different alliance? I have half yellow half blue and my yellows are basically useless now apart from the odd battleground or going into the completely dead 7 day campaign. Doesn't this promote playing the game less? I dont understand, surely we should be able to acess the 30 day as a guest on a different alliance and just get no score on lb's. I just want to play on all the characters i spent hours grinding for in a busy campaign is that too much to ask.

A Khajiit is never defenseless as long as one's claws are sharp- Ancient Khajiiti proverb

Pacrooti practices Whispering Fang, a powerful martial art. He met a Khajiit today, master of Goutfang, an opposing style. Khajiit and Pacrooti had words, and nearly began a contest to decide the superior method, but a mage appeared and lit the Goutfang master ablaze. Pacrooti escaped with the "Senche Leaps" technique. Whispering Fang never loses! -Pacrooti

Edit: Here's my constructive feedback to players and ZOS (so this post doesn't get removed for being "non constructive"):

Go to MMORPG.COM (since ZOS pulls their "game of the year" info from that site) and leave descriptions of how your current gameplay is. Let prospective buyers know what they're getting into. Then, maybe, ZOS will start paying attention to the state of the game instead of loot boxes and reskinned mounts.

Enemies casting their abilities/spells whilst moving.

Userid: @Kilnerdyne
Server: PC / EU
Location: Time Trials, Dungeons

When: An Enemy starts to cast one of their damage abilities (e.g. Arrow Spray, Stomp, Flame Wheel)
Everytime?: No, but very often especially in Arenas such as DSA and BRP.
What happens: The Enemy starts casting their ability but also runs or travels across the Area/Arena whilst casting it. The Enemy is completely invulnerable to Damage or Interruption. Once the Enemy has finished casting their ability they will teleport (or run at super-speed) back to the place where they began casting. (Note: The Enemy is infact not moving whatsoever, it only appears they are moving on the client's screen. This is why they cannot be targetted whilst they are casting+running.) This is making vMA, vDSA, vBRP extremely annoying to complete.
What is meant to happen: The Enemy casts their ability where they stand and are able to be possibly interrupted or damaged.
Since when has this been happening: Elsweyr Chapter

Prediction

I'm not sure how much canon this prediction could be, but I'm posting it.
tiber septim was the first dragonborn. it hit me when I remembered he came about in the second era. ESO is taking place in E2... Elsweyr just got released and it had dragons. will tiber septim be in ESO?... If this be the case, there will be a huge change (in cyrodiil particularly). tiber septim was known for uniting tamriel. introducing him would mean pvp in cyrodiil would change: perhaps a new type of pvp would form. the map from TES IV would also begin to form and we might see those major cities start to prosper, making them questing grounds for new content. how would you feel if this became the future situation? any refutations regarding lore are welcome.

Is Necromancer Goliath Bash Spam intended?

$

Im sure at this point there is no need to inform you of what the Bone Tyrant necromancer skill tree ultimate Pummeling Goliath is capable of. Its not a hard setup. Sword & Board, and some bash damage enchants on your jewelry. Throw your points into stam and slap on hundings or some other damage set and you're ready to go. First of all, before we ask the question of "is this intended?" we must first know of what bone Goliath is capable of. If you get killed
xfIIXbq.jpg
(not my image. Would of screenshotted my multiple experiences i've had but I dont have screenshot key bound and I forgot to anyway lol)
Your damage recap is going to look a little something like this. All bash and maybe the shield gap closer in there somewhere. Now spamming one attack that does 6k+ damage isnt necessarily broken. Hey if someone wants to spam Wrecking Blow, power to them, but the problem with this ultimate, is that bashes can be done INCREDIBLY fast. Id say about 2 a second. 14k (aoe) damage a second, with not a huge cost behind it? Alright something isnt right here, but there must be a way to avoid this right? Only if you're the fastest person in your group. The S&B gap closer usually covers this though. If you're a mag toon or out of stam from running, one of these bad boys will shut ya down real quick. So obviously you'd want to become tankier so you don't die in 2 seconds right? Nope still dead. Now some of the necromancers defending this ulti, are saying that its "easy to avoid", "only lasts 20 seconds", and "costs a lot". First of all 20 seconds is enough time for the necro to kill you and everyone around you. Remember this ultimate makes the bash AOE. Second of all 230≈(idk exact all passives reduced cost) ultimate is easily reached by a necromancer. Id say they have some of the best ulti gain.
The 55k hp does make a necromancer rather tanky, but not unkillable on its own. But when the necro can slam out all this aoe damage, its nearly impossible to shut it down.

Now id like to ask the question "Is this intended"
Will it be changed?

I've watched a high viewer streamer play the bash necro in Bgs, and he said he said he had reported this is the first week of the Elsweyr pts. Im sure other's might of realized this too. Looking at the ulti tooltip, it says it changes the bash. Who, on the PTS, wouldnt want to play around with this? It should of obviously been known it was broken. Maybe they where too busy changing NBs to realize. This makes me question if it was intended.
I really hope this is NOT intended. Its not fun for people who where one second having a grand old time slapping ye old town nightblade around, only to realize that a necromancer ran in from behind and killed ya all in 2.4 seconds.
Honestly what made me want to post this isnt because I got killed by one of these guys a few times. So far its rather few and far between, and I havent seen a ton of them yet. But after watching that streamer, what made we want to ask this, was because I felt bad for the people killed in the BG.

Making overland nicer for endgame players

$

Did you by any chance come from Skyrim, like me? Did you ever go back and notice how enjoyable it is to simply explore Skyrim without being attacked by trash mobs every five steps of the way?

I appreciate that this is an MMO and the higher mob density is due to there being so many player characters. However, once you're an endgame player collecting more skyshards, this gets really tiresome. You can try and stick to the roads, but even those are not always safe nor clearly marked. Finding a place to stop and smell the flowers is hard. Wait too long and the mobs respawn. I end up running blindly in a rough direction, because you can hardly look at the map without aggro. The mobs are no threat, but they are a nuisance with their snares and CCs while snare / root immunity skills only work properly half the time. If they were a challenge that would be better, but this is merely stressful without being challenging.

What gets me from an immersion perspective is that the mobs are also really stupid. They should run screaming for the hills at the sight of an OP endgame player, but they don't. They stupidly attack you, as they do everyone. So here's an idea: How about overland trash mobs don't aggro endgame players until attacked! How do they know that's who you are? How about that happens after completion of vMA, e.g. it's part of the Stormproof achievement.

30k health petsorcs, magblades with like 60% mitigation plus vamp undeath, fury and ravaging or sevenths on all group based stam builds, masters bleeds, pure dot builds, insane off heals and of course the super balanced pummeling goliath bash spam and colossus ults. this is by far the worst time for a solo player, is it going to improve or will this game just be everyone plating ulti dump dot tank builds in a years time?

Wood Elf/ Bosmer losing stealth passive, An open letter.

$
0
0
Wood Elves have always been a stealth based race and the main reason to choose these tiny characters is their innate stealth. PVE enemies in this game do not hide, so changing these characters to detect hidden enemies removes an enjoyable and realistic game mechanic and provides no benefit.

I have given feedback regarding the proposed change to this passive here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/453572/bosmer-racial-change-that-is-illogical-and-unnecessary/p1
And I have polled the forum with the conclusion that no one uses stealth detection in pve here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/458818/do-you-use-stealth-detect-in-pve/p1

Firstly, Wood Elves have always had a head-start bonus to the stealth attribute for the past 5 Elder Scrolls titles. In 3 of those titles, they had a greater bonus to sneaking than any other race. For 5 years in TESO we have used this passive to great effect in all game modes. It is a valuable passive as evidenced by: the continuation (and even improvement) of stealth for Khajiits; two zone DLCs that benefit from this passive; trial and dungeon mechanics that take advantage of being in stealth; and the number of dismayed replies on your official forums.

In the developer notes it states that “many enemies in Tamriel can’t be bothered sneaking about!” The conclusion to replace it with 3 meter stealth detection is a contradiction because if enemies can’t be bothered to stealth, then we don’t need to detect stealth enemies. There isn’t any pve content available in the game that uses stealth detection. In pvp, 3 meters is actually a negligible amount of stealth detection because of how pvp is currently played. Stealth is used from a distance in order to stack bonuses from the Bow skill line. Stealth in melee range, at the pace of the current pvp climate, requires a skill (Vampire or Nightblade) or a potion. Being able to detect within 3 meters is not enough time to even block before a blow from stealth. “Gankers” will not disappear with the removal of this Wood Elf passive, they will just switch to Khajiit for the crits.

The identity of this race, from the first game, have been stealthy archers and thieves. It needs to remain an innate ability of the smallest race in the game to hide better than the largest. Moving this out of the racial passive and into another skill line is not a solution because a large character, such as a Nord, is realistically not as sneaky as the smallest characters. This change goes against the original vision, the established precedent, in-universe realism, and the lore within the game itself. The point of choosing the smallest character model in the game is that it’s better at hiding.

Regarding your dev note, “Previously this passive was shared between Khajiit and Wood Elf, and didn’t help them feel distinct enough from each other.“ Players expect that the smallest characters are the sneakiest, and the effort to make this minor distinction is not worth the cost of removing the main appeal of choosing Wood Elf. Khajiit and Wood Elf are already distinct enough from each other, in physical design and fighting style.

Please, reconsider this change. Stealthiness is THE identifying attribute to this race. The proposed change to this passive is disruptive and counterintuitive. Wood Elf hiding ability has been an established precedent for all 5 TES games and the past 5 years in this game.

Khajitt likes to sneak?

Dear ZOS, is there a reason why you force me to stand up from sneak in Cyro while on FULL STAM?

Not to mention that sneak and cloak do not work. Ppl can see me, they fire single target attacks and all sorts of marks while they should not be able to see me.

Servers get crappier every day. Khajiit will now sneak to Jone and Jode. :s

Tracking Daily Writ Reward Drop Rates

$

So, I was beginning to track the rewards that were dropping for me from doing my writs daily. I do writs on 27 characters a day (most days), so I felt like I would have enough data to over ride any "noise" that was in the data from random RNG. I was initially tracking it on a spreadsheet, when I began to talk to a friend who writs add-ons, at the possibility of creating an add-on to track the drops of each. This led me to be searching the ESOUI add-ons, and come to find out, that Dolgubon's Lazy Writ Crafter (BEST ADD-ON EVER FOR DOING WRITS!!!! Love you @Dolgubon ) has been tracking this information for me for a while now. I just had to parse it out of the output that it gives me in chat. So I took the data and plugged it into Google Sheets to come up with some data about the drop rates of the major rewards from doing crafting writs.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yQDUjYNQVsIFl0ktkbkSlfYPkzP6pgCOTMQ-qCuzfaI/

A couple of notes about the data

* Alt account does not have access to Summerset, so there is no Jewelry Crafting data for it
* Jewelry drops were changed after the release of Summerset, to only include Chromium Grains (they initially included Terne, Iridium, and Zircon), so the drop rate is artificially low for Jewelry Chromium Grains
* This data stretches back approximately a year, pre-Summerset release, my main account was therefore leveling up Jewelry Crafting through the data collection, as well as researching traits in Jewelry, this will bring down the drop rates for Jewelry crafting.
* For a majority of the data collection, Jewelry Writs were done at 8 a day at level 5 (Platinum), and 7 a day at level 1 (Pewter), this will also bring down the Chromium grain collection (but not surveys, it appears)
* All crafters know the 9 basic racial styles, all 4 base game purple, as well as Hollowjack and Skinchanger motifs.
* All crafters are 8-trait crafters (some researching through the data), but I don't believe trait knowledge has an effect on drop rates (other than for Jewelry)
* All crafters know all traits for Alchemy (with the exception of Clam Gall and Powdered Mother of Pearl on a few), and all stones for Enchanting translated
* For provisioning, crafters are only learning the purple recipes that drop from doing provisioning writs as I accumulate them. They also all know the Psijic Ambrosia gold recipe, since I have gotten thousands of fragments for that as well. This is why the drop rate of provisioning is so low, since only 1 characters knows all the purple/gold recipes.

*The alt account was created during this time frame, so all the leveling of the skill lines, as well as the trait research and motif learning was all done while they were doing writs, which is probably why the drop rates on the alt account are slightly lower than those on the main account. Other than surveys which seems to be pretty consistent across both accounts.

I'm just sharing this here so that people who are looking for information about drop rates have a place to find this. I'll plan on periodically updating the spreadsheet every couple of weeks as I collect more data from doing writs.

*It appears that surveys have an approximately 1/8 chance of dropping while doing a writ. This is consistent at all levels of writs.
*It appears that the drop rate for a gold improvement material is a little under 30% (will have to check more on Chromium, but the recent tracking seems to support a similar drop rate)
*Alchemy/Enchanting master writs drop the more commonly, probably due to the ease of getting the drop rate highest (at about 1/7, or 14%)
*Without most motifs, the drop rate for Blacksmithing/Woodworking/Clothing master writs appears to be around 1/15 or 6% (but going up to about 1/10, or 10% with some basic motif knowledge)

EDIT: ADDED on 3/9/19

Added another tab to the document to try and determine profit from doing writs on a daily basis. It looks like writs on a single character will net approximately a 400k profit per month.

By necessity, some things needed to be estimated while creating it.

I used MM numbers from PC/NA (I'm in 3 trade guilds in 3 different locations, all with more than 50 million a week in sales guild wide)

I used values calculated from the drop rate of the writs that I've been tracking.

Master writs were valued based on a voucher sell price of 650g/voucher.

Other tabs include refining returns, current MM prices, etc...

Why no free Doom Wolf mount for consoles?

$

So PC/Mac players get a free Doom Wolf mount for winning 3 games of the Elder Scrolls: Legends card game but console players get nothing yet again.

Why do console players keep getting overlooked for promotions like this?

It's extremely unfair and downright upsetting for ZOS to keep ignoring those player bases.

999+ Ping

Hello,
So i just recovered my account after not playing for several years.
What i found out is the game is now in an unplayable state. I've been in contact with support for the past week, and according to the last reply my issue has been elevated to another team that will look into the issue.

I am from Israel, using a 200 mpbs DL and 5 mpbs UL.
What seems to be happening is my connection being routed through U.S (I guess it is a login server?) then into EU and back into IL.
While i am getting 200-300 ping to the U.S server on this website https://pingtestlive.com/eso-status
I am getting +999 in game. While for EU the ping is in the 6000-9000 thousand. Which makes no sense since i play any other game from HOTS to LOL or PUBG with a ping of 60-90 on European servers.

This shows the way the connection is:
https://imgur.com/a/TnpfK1n

This is the same thing when i use a VPN and connect to a German server, notice the sudden improvement:

I wanted to share this, and to know if anyone else suffers the same problems from Israel or Europe?
I am no expert but it seems there are some serious issues with hops into U.S then EU, then U.S, then EU... that the client makes as you can see from that long report. Which you can also generate by the way via ESO launcher -> clicking the "Cog" icon top right -> then "About" and running "Game Consultant".

I refuse to believe this is on my end, since this is the only game that i have encountered something so hectic, in comparison to any other game out there that i currently play with no problem.
Obviously ports are forwarded via DMZ, DNS is flushed, everything is up to day etc etc..
I assume that if it works with a VPN that means the client changes routes from my starting location, which bring me to a similar issue i had with Escape From Tarkov.

In EFT they had the EU region, U.S Region, and everything else. That was couple years ago so something might've change by now.
What happened was that Israel fell under the "Everything Else" which defaulted into Australia servers i believe? Which gave me a ping of 400+ and i had to actually buy and upgrade to be able to connect to the EU servers.

Now this issue reminds me of that since a VPN seems to fix the problem.

ZOS, we need Battle Royal mode, please!

1. The servers and/or game engine just can't handle 300 players in 1 location.
Solution 1. Made milegates and bridges destructible. (note. This did not achieve the desired result of causing players to spread out....not even close)
Solution 2. Volendrung. Puts a hammer icon on the map letting everyone know where the hammer is. This way the faction with the hammer can all stack on it to protect it and then opposing factions can all stack in one location to defend against it. (not. This did not achieve the desired result of causing players to spread out in the zone...in fact it had the opposite result.)

Real Solution: Allow players to change their character faction. (this one is really. Just. That. Simple.)

Real solution 1. Reduce the group size to 12.
Real solution 1a. Limit healing and buffs to group members.
Real Solution 1b. Remove Volendrung.
Real Solution 1c. Remove emperor (or change how emperor works. For instance once you are crowned emperor you are emperor for 8 hours.)

Emperor also has a nasty habit of causing a large number of player to stack in 1 location. The last emperor keep. The defenders stack to protect the last emperor keep. The attackers both stack to dethrone the emperor.

Real Solution 1d. Substantially reduce the AP from capturing keeps. Increase the AP gained from killing other players. Defended keeps = AP AP and more AP.
Real Solution 1e. Weighted campaign scoring. The current scoring system is trash. All it does is encourage PVDoor on undefended keeps for maximum AP. It encourages gating the map overnight when no one else is on.

[Possible] solution 1e. Scoring should be based on the lowest faction population. For example EP is locked. DC is locked. AD is low. The scoring only happens once every 4 hours. AD is medium then scoring happens every 2 hours. High every hour. All 3 locked then scoring happens every 30 minutes. So AD could paint the map yellow overnight when no one is on but they will only score points every 4 hours.
[Possible] Solution 2.e. Scoring could be based on AP. All of the AP that your faction earns counts towards your faction score. Coupled with making players (and not keeps worth more AP) this strongly encourages players to P V P (GASP *shock* *horror* ). I mean that is what cyrodiil is....a PVP zone. Map objectives could count as some sort of bonus to the AP accumulated.

[Possible] solution 1f. Make resources more important.
[Possible] Solution 1f. Resources act as a respawn point.
+This means that an attacking force will always want to capture all 3 resources when capturing a keep to prevent defenders from respawning.
+This also means that attacking forces will want to split up and attack all 3 resources at the same time to avoid telegraphing an attack. This would also cut off defender reinforcements.
+Defenders will want to attack the resources surrounding a sieged keep. So then the defenders can respawn.
+There will be lots of fighting at the resources where the attackers and defenders fight over respawn points.
+Fighting is spread out over a much larger area surrounding a keep.
+Attacking and defending keeps is significantly more tactical.
