Ok, I am going to rant for a moment, and the mods will close this so whatever.

Just logged in for daily writs to see a guildmate telling a new healer "...just DPS, it's easier if everything dies quickly. Healing just makes it take longer."

As a tank main, I've heard this far too often. "What do you mean you can't do 20k DPS as a tank?" "LF 3DPS and healer" or "LF 4 DPS vet hm key run"

Yeah yeah, sorry that I like to play support. ESO hasn't needed support roles (except in trials) for a long time. I'm not sure why the builds even exist anymore. So you like to help your team but have hand/wrist issues and can't do 50k-100k DPS? Um....ummmmmmmm - you can flip for trading, farm, and there's housing!

Why not just adjust dungoen finder so groups can request 4 DPS or 3DPS and a healer? Just admit the only people who need support roles are brand new, under 50 players with no CP? I'm tired of running with groups that don't want/need a tank, thus being left behind; tired of fighting with other guild tanks on who gets to fill the 1 spot available for raid that night; tired of new DLC dungeon bosses being anti-tank (looking at you Wolfhunter). No, I haven't played Scalebreaker yet... I like to go in blind on launch day, but I'm sure there's a boss with 100% running and no need/ability for tanking or healing.

Maybe with the PTS changes support roles will have a place again in ESO again. But with the heavy influx of tanks who don't think they need a taunt or armor crack and care more about how much DPS they do... (yes WOW kids I'm looking at you)... I doubt it.

Hey dev team - maybe talk to marketing about doing a demographics poll. From my 4.5 years of experience the majority of your daytime players are over 40 and female. I've talked to many players who can't twitch fast enough to DPS, or don't want that pressure and choose support roles. Why not "balance" the game so we have a purpose?

I think more than enough players wish for vampire to be more interesting. Today vampires are useful but are also kind of boring (just speaking for myself now), so it would be nice to give to vampire community something like new skills, more bloodlines to choose from and (many people are still asking for it since day one) vampire lord..

There are a lot of ideas how vampire lords skillline could look and maybe, after other people will read this, some new ideas will emerge.

MAIN QUEST STUCK - No banekin for Tharn Speaks in main quest after completing Elsweyr preview

I know people were having problems with Tharn not showing up for the preview if they had the Tharn Speaks Quest open. My problem is the other way around. I have completed the Elsweyr preview (which was awesome, by the way) but now, I have finished the "Castle of the Worm" but I don't get the banekin coming up to tell me to go see Tharn at the mage's guild to start "The Tharn Speaks". I have been to every starter city, every mages guild, been in and out of Davon's Watch more times than I care to think about. and a few other cities, with no luck, and even removed my add-ons to see if they were causing problems. I wasted 3/4 of a grand experience scroll running around looking for the banekin. Not happy about that.
I am an Imperial nightblade, level 38, Ebonheart Pact.
Note: removed both add-ons folder and live folder as a test. no change.
The Castle of the Worms achievement is in my list.
Any thoughts/assistance?

Upcoming Special Furnishings from Update 20 Data-Mine

So I've been looking through the new stuff added in Update 20, and there's a handful of new furnishings that:

A.) Are not a craftable, purchasable, or achievement furnishing
B.) Are not a Crown store/House Editor exclusive furnishing
C.) Are not part of an upcoming Furnishing Pack

First off, here's Murkmire furnishings that seem to be findable (Pickpocketing, Fishing, Found):

One Hand and Shield

Low Slash: Reduced the damage dealt from this ability and the Heroic Slash morph by approximately 31%. These two abilities will also no longer snare targets.
Heroic Slash (morph): The Minor Heroism granted from this morph will now last 12 seconds, up from 9 seconds, to better match the duration of the other bonuses.
Deep Slash (morph):
This ability now hits all targets in a 6 meter radius of your target, instead of only 2 targets in a 5 meter radius.
This morph now deals the same damage to all targets hit, and deals our AoE damage standard.
This morph also retains the 30% snare.
Power Bash: This ability is now considered a “spammable” attack, and adjustments have been made to properly place it in that category.
This ability no longer stuns at base.
Increased the damage dealt by all versions of this ability by approximately 94%.
Reduced the cost to 2700 from 3780.
Reverberating Bash (morph):
This morph retains the stun, with a max duration of 3 seconds, but it no longer applies Major Defile to the target.
The initial hit damage is now halved, and it will deal the other half of the damage when the stun ends. If the target is CC immune, it will not gain the other half of the damage.
Power Slam (morph): Reworked the passive this ability grants.
The Passive granted is now called Resentment, because you’re an angry person when you get hit.
Resentment activates after blocking any attack, and grants you 5% additional damage on your next Power Slam attack. This bonus stacks up to 10 times lasts 5 seconds, but you can only gain 1 stack every 250ms, to match the cooldown of block’s cost cadence.
Puncture:
Reduced the damage dealt by this ability and its morphs by approximately 37%, but reduced the cost to 1350 from 1701.
Increased the duration of the Major Fracture to 15 seconds from 12 seconds to match the taunt duration.
Ransack (morph): This morph no longer grants Minor Ward and Resolve. Instead, it grants Minor Protection for 15 seconds.
Pierce Armor (morph): The Major Breach from this morph now also lasts 15 seconds.


Now for the criticism.

What sense does this make to completely gut a legitimate playstyle? SnB weaving even requires some skill, as opposed to being a ranged caster. What sense does it make logically that I have to mash my opponents with a shield? Wouldn't it be more effective for me to dual wield shields now? Shield is a defensive weapon. Imagine a roman legionary coming up to his opponent and waiting for him to hit his shield before bashing him with his flat shield, while trying to poke him with his crippled dry arm with a literal pencil in it.

We don't want to use power slam as a pvp spammable. It's completely nonsensical. For all I care, even if it would hit for 10k in pvp I wouldn't like it, because it's unrealistic, and there would not be any more snb weaving.

Comment down under if you agree, create your threads to prove your point. This stuff is basically bigger than what we had in DB and Morrowind patches. it's time for ZOS to listen to players, not just to class representatives that enjoy leaking notes.

Change cloak

Is disgusting how well played NB builds can take all the fun.

They can go in cloak mode one after another multiple times without stop and this tremendous advantageous specially in 1 vs 1.

If I manage to catch a NB solo then I have to some how kill him in that window of time or he will just use cloak again and flee completely or keep me trolling.

Sorceress can teleport but I can target them and Chase them. Is not the same, I would say it is even an inferior ability than cloak.

I would say change cloak that they can use it 3 consecutive times and then they can not use it again for 10 seconds or do something that every time they use cloak the duration will be reduced by X seconds and it will be reset after x seconds of not going in cloak mode.

Thanks for your attention zos, I hope we get someday some feedback from developers of what they think about this skill and the abuse of using it.

all but 2 of them are script bots! The other 2 have patterns and don't take the meat sack! If zos doesn't do something soon they will be on every map and you wont be able to farm anything!!! WHY WONT YOU HELP US?? Its on both consoles!!! Please help us. PLEASE?? Im begging you!!!!

I maybe should’ve posted this in players helping players but way more people view this section. I just can’t decide how to arrange my skills right now. I need suggestions because my bars have been in flux for a week now. I just started playing my necro again. I farmed BSW recently because necro two main skills blastbones and ricochet skull both do fire damage. I also use flame reach.

FB- flaming skull
Inner light
Harness magicka
Blastbones
Flame reach

BB- resistant flesh
Unnerving boneyard
Beckoning armor
Spirit guardian
Agony totem

Here’s the problem. I run Valkyn Skoria which procs off DoTs, so I want to add wall of elements in to increase uptime while also helping BSW proc with more flame damage.
I like to keep DoTs and heals on back bar but idk what I want to replace.

I need boneyard for major breach/fracture. I also need my beckoning armor because it’s apart of how I play the toon. I like to pull people into the boneyard drop a totem to fear them drop colossus ult and burst them down. That’s 3 skills I need on my bar. Spirit guardian maybe could be replaced in favor of burst heal only, but then I have no HoTs and I like to double up on my heals in PVP which is what this toon is mainly used for. Also the 10% damage mitigation is welcomed. So now we look at resistant flesh. A strong burst heal and I feel like I would handicap myself removing it and only keeping the HoT. I would also like to add expunge and modify along with wall of elements but once again idk what to remove. Soo suggestions?

The Heroes Guild

You've fought for the Fighters Guild, stolen for the Thieves Guild, killed for the Assassins Guild and even collected countless books for the Mages Guild, so why not put all of that experience to good use and join The Heroes Guild! We are a new, casual, mature guild looking for more friendly players both new and veteran to enjoy ESO with. We are currently recruiting new players who want to learn about the game and veteran players who enjoy helping and leading others. We value the knowledge that veteran players have to offer and would love to have you share your achievements and experience with us and players who are new to the game.

**PLEASE READ** (updated 4/19/19)
I believe it is very important that every player understands that no matter what guild you join you will only get out of it what you put in. It is impossible to maintain an active guild without the support and investment of its members. In order to promote an active guild environment, it is vital that players greet, respond and engage in conversations with other members in the guild chat. This encourages other members to be active and helps to form an identity for your character within the game. This is not a requirement but simply a recommendation for members who are looking to participate in an active guild and find other like-minded players to enjoy the game with.

The responsibility of entertaining, communicating and helping should never be the job of 1 or 2 players, instead, all members of the guild should share this burden equally. I know that real life can often get in the way of playing games and lately, I have not been as active as I like. I intend to start being on more in the coming weeks and until then I hope that everyone continues to use the guild as a place to LFG and engage with other friendly players. If you ever need anything just let me know and I will do my best to help any way I can!


Who we are:


We created this guild with 3 goals in mind:

1. Created a guild that can serve as a hub for friendly new and veteran players to look for groups and ask questions without feeling like they will be judged or looked down on. This guild will only be as strong as the members who are willing to engage, help and play with others.

2. Develop a core group of friendly, helpful players to run Dungeons, Pledges, Trails, and PvP with. We believe that having a smaller guild that knows and respects each other makes the game far more enjoyable! We also believe that it is important to have players who enjoy helping others and want to pass on the knowledge that they have gathered during their time in Tamriel.


3. Help new players level up and learn about everything that ESO has to offer in a positive, supportive environment. We all know what it's like to be new to a game and feel lost especially in a world as big as ESO. The Heroes Guild is dedicated to helping new players with questing, leveling, collecting gear and answering any questions they may have.


What we offer:

We have a guild hall and just added the Colossal Aldmeri Grotto (18,750 crowns) fully furnished with every crafting station including transmutation, training dummies, banker, and merchant. We are happy to offer free crafting for our members and currently provide lower level characters with free training gear to help them get their XP faster! We do not require fees and will plan to add a guild trader once everyone agrees and supports a system for purchasing one (fees, donations etc.)


Who we are not:

We do not judge or have any expectations for players other than being friendly and respectful to others. We choose to encourage rather than criticize and will never belittle someone for asking questions. We will never kick someone out of a group for making a mistake or having a low level. We do not tolerate any kind of abusive behavior or negative remarks directed at others and doing so will get you kicked immediately.


What to consider:

If you are new to ESO and looking for a small friendly guild to learn and grow with then this might be the guild for you. If you are a veteran player that is looking for something other than a huge, hardcore guild and think you might enjoy helping/leading others then this might be the guild for you.

Will ESO ever add other Weapon Skill Line?

Like longsword as crit 2H, and One Handed Rune/Orbs/Magic Books/Whatever.

Longsword is really easy to implement and add a huge variation to DPS, like:
- Using Dual Wield = More DPS
- Using Longsword = higher stamina regen/fight longer

I like to have other weapon such as Spear, Knuckle, but these two weapons above are most demanded and also longsword is easily implemented, just use Greatsword model and make it a bit shorter, and smaller, like actual longsword, make it animation faster and more responsive like Dual Wield, and it's actual a very great way to role-playing since this is MMORPG right?

No comment on Dragonhold PvE or 1 Piece weapons?

Was there no comment on instanced pve content in dragonhold or the release of new 1 piece weapons with it? I tried watching clips of the stream on youtube but couldn't find either thing mentioned

Furnishing Limit

I know this is an old, beaten horse, but I don't think ZOS has provided a satisfactory answer as to why we can't have more than 700 furnishing items in our houses. Particularly if some houses are far too large for that limit to be sufficient *and* they cost upwards of $100+.

Has anyone heard anything new regarding this?

Up-Coming Multi-bidding Changes

The new up-date is around the corner.
Several threads and PTS feedback thread later, we have only heard one response.
They told us that the new multi-bidding changes are to address ghost guilds, insure availability, etc. The full response is here...

The guild trader system is a cornerstone of the in-game economy in ESO, but over time the enormous pressure on trading guilds to have a guild trader every single week has led to behaviors which reduce competition and negatively impact trader customers. Tactics employed to ensure guild trader ownership each week, such as the generation of alternate “shadow” guilds to bid on additional locations as well as guild trader speculation and resale through guild dissolution, often lead to fewer traders populated with goods and massive amounts of wasted gold.

The multi-bidding feature is part of an initiative to provide in-game supported methods for players to have fallback trader bidding options without the associated drawbacks for both guilds and their customers. In addition to multi-bidding, we are also removing the ability for guild traders to be transferred through guild dissolution in an upcoming PTS update for Update 23. We avoided making that change prior to the multi-bidding feature because we wanted to ensure trading guilds weren’t entirely dependent on winning their one single bid each week, which puts even more pressure on them to place exorbitant bids.

We appreciate the concerns being raised regarding this change and we are absolutely committed to monitoring the impact of this feature, as well as potentially making additional adjustments as necessary to ensure the ongoing health of the in-game economy.

Once we had "The Council of Nirn", a round table group of GM's that ZoS would communicate with on ideas, etc. ZoS used to listen.
So, this is a last chance effort to show ZoS that IF they are going ahead with the bidding system, that 10 is WAY too many, IMO.
Yes, we want a solution to "ghost guilds", we need more tools for GM's to operate with, but this needs to be looked at BEFORE live.

We are a social PvE/PvP guild with lots of experienced AND unexperienced members that loves to hang out.

We host events such as Map runs, Trials (learning, normal and Veteran), raffles, PvP (Cyrodiil, IC(s), BG's), dungeon runs and so on.
For the Cyrodiil and Imperial City (sewers) events we rotate the alliances so one week we have AD, another DC and so on. We are a AD guild though :kissing_heart:

We welcome everyone no matter experience in the game.

Our roster are filling up fast but we do have a few spots left :smile:

HELP!
The costumes all have Namey Names so its not always easy to find the one I want...
& Some of them just don't fit a particular Character's style/story

Let us choose Favorites & then choose to show only the Favorites, or have them sort to the top of the set.
QoL improvement sure, but I WANTS IT! ...nay, dare I say NEEDS IT!
