Hi all, putting this here as a long shot..simply put Been trying to get the beast personaility unlocked but I have been unable to find anybody who is willing to help
Yes I've tried asking/joining guilds that deal in that sort of thing, but in almost every case the responce I get is a resounding no due to the fact that I'm not meta,
I mean they have a point, I'm not meta, but I can hold my own well enough...but rambing aside the point of this thread is quite simple

Anybody out there willing to help me get it unlocked?

Is everyone happy now? Genuinely the class just died for me its the weakest pvp class in game i think. What could literally be worse? We have no valid cc. Sustain is hurt. what more could they take from us? Its never ending i see what ZoS is doing they want cyro to be all stamina versions of each class minus healers they want literal healers in there but no magicka dps what so ever they could care less about us. The damn ratio is already 5:1 nearly for Stam to mag players maybe even more. This sucks i want to hear other opinions.

It seems like every patch you are determined to erase any kind of viability that Sorcerers have. @ZOS_GinaBruno is it possible for you to have someone from the team who made the change to Power Surge please explain why they made the decision to gut this skill? Power Surge was never intended on being a skill for healers, it was always intended to be a self heal that not only buffs our damage, but mitigates some of the damage we take in dungeons so healers aren't scrambling to keep us alive when we take a hit. Not only this, but it completely destroys any semblance of viability for solo instance content like the Maelstrom Arena.

Power Surge was absolutely vital in MA, especially when running it on veteran difficulty. there is a LOT of damage to soak and between the nerfs to our shields and now this bizarre change to Power Surge, it's becoming more and more difficult and frustrating for Sorcerers to be able to function on their own. I really need someone on the team to explain this logic of taking a solo heal and completely reworking its effect so that it no longer can be used as a solo heal.

Undo/Termporal Guard is broken.

The skill doesn't work. Press the ultimate and it doesn't even do the animation, it just spends ultimate points. I mean we knew it wasn't working properly before but right now it's just there for the passive when slotted. Please look into this and fix it.

hi there, with the recent changes to scatter shot's morphs need an overlook.

In pve the skill as 0 use, even with the black rose prison bow because it requires max range to be somehow efficient and the 1m window to get full duration on the proc is almost impossible to manage (also, in trials ppl are at melee range 90% of the time...)

In pvp the draining shot is healing for an absurdly high amount (30% more than the dmg it deals) and no longer needs the stun to proc (which is a good thing) while Magnum shot "only" deals 20% more dmg.

Since the Magnum shot morph cant be compared to a spammable because of its dmg, cost and CC part, it could get some love by having its range back to 28m.

this would allow this morph to be usefull for once. right now, it is just a total waste to use it instead of draining.

Wish I could play Cyrodiil.

But hey, let's take a pick at what'll happen not even 5 minutes in.

Will I :

A: Crash to desktop?

B: Disconnect?

C: Have ungodly ping for no apparent reason?

D. Crash to Desktop (Again)

E. Get frustrated with the lag and go back to battlegrounds which are (IMO) less laggy.

Why do I play the game if I spend more time in loading screens due to disconnects or crashes more than the actual PVP content itself?

Was at a Aleswell siege when at least 40+ people all reported crashing/disconnects mid siege. From both sides of the engagement. I have decent internet, and don't have this problem on any other games and don't have this problem with PVE content. Whether that comes to trials, dungeons, or even VMA. (Minus odd lag/RNG)

I love the ES series, and I love ESO, but this is just terrible. I've never seen it this bad, personally.

[BUG DLC DUNGEON] Falkreath Hold

Dear @ZOS_GinaBruno ,

It is possible to put the following bug to the attention of the team ?

We're trying to do the no-death achievement on Falkreath Hold : Veteran, and since 2 week the third boss (Cernunnon) keep resetting his HP every time we hit the second add-phase.
We literally can't kill it since he reset every time !
When he enter to the ground with around mid-hp left or less, when he come back after we defeat the 3 add, he's full again !

I don't know if other people have encounter this problem too, but it's very annoying and frustrating.
The only way to pass through this bug seem to have one death on the group.
Which, obviously is stupidly annoying when you try to get no-death achievement..

Plz look at it.

Got tired of speed-deaths in BG's so i tuned defence up and up and UP to no avail.

My last BG i was wearing impreg (weapon/jewlery) + Fortified brass (medium) giving me 23k HP, 2300 resist (18k unbuffed) and 3400 crit resist on BOTH bars, but felt naked still.

i dont belive in defence. i dont belive the numbers are working

How to get Craglorn trial clears?

I am interested in becoming a more end-game focused person, but so many guilds require Craglorn vet/HM clears as part of basic achievements. I know I could run them no problem, but my problem is that no one is ever running them because of how irrelevant they kind of are. Any advice for how to get some clears for these places?

I'm gifting this build after tiresly testing it before i took an extended break from eso. I had second thoughts about giving it out. I'm releasing it to the community now, becuase of players taking ESO way too serious. And reminds me of how I used to be, I've grown from that and really don't care about the RNG "SKILL" in the game. 🤣

Think about what I just said - ponder that for a minute.

Also Why:

I really careless about the game anymore. And after broken promises from ZOS about performance and the lack of creative new ways to play the game. Obviously per playstyle/sets/skills seems like it been centered around mathatical PvE test dummie parses for so called "Balance Implications". Thus giving PvP players no oversight to how we can help mold the game for the players and not mold the players to an already ageing game.

So this will be fun to watch the nerflings come out to complain about the build or a sets. Personally I don't care - kill them all ! 🔥

With that said.... let's get into it 👍

I'l explain in detail some things most people didn't think of or forgot about to be insanely good.

1st) Set - Azureblight Reaper !

A few things about this set veteran thoerycrafters overlooked.

"When you deal damage with a damage over time effect, you apply a stack of Blight Seed to your target for 5 seconds. At 20 stacks, the Blight Seeds explode, dealing 11100 Disease Damage to the target and nearby enemies. An enemy that has reached 20 stacks cannot be infected with Blight Seed for 2 seconds."

It says effect and not ability that means every form of a dot will apply a stack. Do you know how many dots and fast a Stam Sorc can apply ? Plus it's cool down is of 2 seconds. 🤣

2nd ) Set - Affliction

Now we all know how this works. But again this set was heavily over looked again by vet tc players.

Let me explain this part -

This gives minor defile plus small disease damage.

We all know after the befoul nerf this is pretty trash. So ZOS buffs dots and nobody is thinking of ways to make this rellivent again ?

So testing Affliction on multiple dots can give a bigger % uptime than you might know. But your saying it's only 15% heal debuff and small disease damage. Ya I know but what vet tc players overlooked, is that if you apply charged trait you greatly increase the status effect of disease damage and from both sets.

Plus Azureblight burst AOE and Affliction single target constant debuff and small disease damage. And what is the secondary status effect from disease - major defile, stack that with minor isn't nothing new.

I know what your thinking, but nobody has tested charged trait in a while and the uptime on affliction procing major defile is mind blowing. I'm not going to share numbers the people that who know me take my word.

Also if I start sharing numbers the nerflings will start crying again.

Weapons :

(Front bar)

VMA duel wield -

1h Axe Nirn/Charged
1h Dagger Charged/Nirn
2x Dot poisons

( Back bar )

Masters Bow -

Charged
Disease enchantment.

Charged trait is the key to the build. Your back bar charged trait will increase your chances of applying your secondary status effect, at a higher value than the value on your front charged trait. as it only shares half the value vs back bar at full value.

This is the regular chart of applying a secondary status effects.

Weapon enchants 20%

Standard ability 10%

Area of effect abilities 5%

Damage over time abilities 3%

Area of effect damage over time abilities 1%


These are very low, but if you apply charged trait to these values they become relivant. Again I'm not going to hit you with math, but I'm pretty sure you can add. And remember your doing a lot of dots that's procing disease damage with a huge uptime with affliction single target and aoe burst disease damage with azureblight.

So since your going to have the highest chance to proc secondary status effects from your back bar. You simply light attack poison injection. You keep the higher value as long as your back bar dot is going. You can keep charged on your front bar also but it's half the value remember so it's either or. I chose to try and have a higher rate of defile vs sharpend trait or nirn.

How many DOTS can be apply effectively ?

1 Poison inj
2 Poison status effect
3 Hurricane
4 Soul Splitting Trap
5 Barbed Trap
6 Quick Cloak
7 Bloodcraze
8 Poison double DOT 1
9 Poison double DOT 2
Weave light attack 1h axe you have a chance to proc another dot bleed.
For 10. Dots in total...

Healing - Your crit should be around 50% - (Crit Surge) Your rapid strikes is your bread n butter that will heal you tremendously if you spam it. Remember you still have bloodcraze healing you and bloodthirsty healing you.

* You should only be spaming it when you used your normal rotation.

Usually when you get in trouble a roll dodge vigor dark deal is BAE.

Also this is a pressure build and will kill them in less than 10 sec. If it's taking longer to kill them restart. Unless it's a magplar then your going to have a really hard time.

Ult - The choice would be "Toxic Barrage" but since ZOS hasnt fixed this bug in 2 years, as it should be buffed by cruel flurry. We will just go with Attro it will be good for LOS when X-ing.

My rotation is based on risk vs reward and not 45 min of guitar hero fighting.

Even though it's a dot build it kills fast and quick. You Cannot let them recover be ruthless. If you let them recover uninstall game immediately. 😔

Tips for playstyle

Keep hurricane up...
Poison Inj -
Soul splitting trap -
Quick Cloak -
Move in Bloodthirsty flurry -
Bloodcraze LOS around objects if your X-ing
Barbed Trap ( Bait ) for minor force buff - Buff again quickcloak -

Hurricane repeat use common sense. Keep up crit surge also and remember your poison inj is your execute that is buffed by cruel flurry. And if they get out range when there dying light attack spam that will proc the disease damage enchant from and the status effect thus them not being able to heal fast enough and a few CP into befoul you can easily get 55% heal debuff.

Warning : This is a playstyle only for advanced players only. New players you will struggle you will die to apply dots until you get used to the playstyle and rotation.

Advanced players go 5 medium new player's 5 heavy. It can be both as Affliction is heavy and Azureblight is meduim.

Medium - Jewely
1 bloodthirsty weapon damage 2 Infused weapon damage.

Heavy - Jewelry
2 infused reduce cost/weapon damage 1 bloodthirsty weapon damage.

All impen expect legs and chest - Infused Prismatic.

Make sure your at 3k crit resistance.

Don't ask me about non CP.

Introducing the Battlemage to ESO

People have tossed around the term 'Battlemage' for a very long time. It was quite a popular thing in previous Elder Scrolls games, and many players have asked for it in one way or another since the release of ESO. It was supposedly even going to be one of the initial playable classes.

According to a few wikis:
'During the beta, the Battlemage was planned to be the sixth player class. Along with the Warden, it was scrapped at launch in favor of the four standard classes, though the Warden class later returned to the game in Update 14'.

People want to be able to play a Battlemage. There have been many forum posts recently, asking for options such as weapons scaling off highest stat, or for magicka morphs to be introduced to weapon skills. I believe I have a simpler, more realistic solution... a new 5 piece set. And here it is:

Allow me to explain it a bit.

The issue that we currently have is that while we have plenty of melee skills that scale off mag and spell damage, physical weapon light and heavy attacks still (and rightly so) scale off weapon damage and stam. This means that tools such as Ele Weapon, Knight Slayer etc are still better when paired with a Destro staff. In order to make a 'Battlemage' viable, we need to come up with a solution to this problem - hence this set.

In order to balance the 5 piece bonus (assuming you've built for max mag/spell damage):

X = the difference in damage between light attacking with a physical weapon vs a destro staff, PLUS additional damage equivalent to a 5 piece light attack bonus (such as the bonus provided from Undaunted Infiltrator).

Y = the difference in damage between heavy attacking with a physical weapon vs a destro staff, PLUS additional damage equivalent to a 5 piece heavy attack bonus (such as the bonus provided from Undaunted Infiltrator).

For the RP! : As a tribute to Bound Weapon, this set would provide your weapons with a magical blue glow.

Deepening Shadows Quest Bug

In the Deepening Shadows quest, Confront Gascone segment, the Imperfect gets stuck in an animation loop and doesn't destroy the wall as intended. Very frustrating as this is the second time now. Locking the precursor behind broken quests is fun.

When will voice chat be fixed.

I have not had voice chat for over 2 months now. Did all fixes suggested and even had cable out and changed router and connections.

What's the point of Magicka vs Stamina anymore? [pve]

The design philosophy behind stamina and magicka was clear. In theory it worked like this:

Magicka had higher costs, but had more utility, and could do safer ranged damage, with shields and self heals. This was at the expense of not having stamina to run faster, break free, and dodge roll with. They also had less weapon abilities [only 1 dps weapon] but more class abilities [i think this is the only thing that shouldn't have been there from the start]

Stamina cost less because it was also the resource that made stamina so mobile. It lacked range, and was dangerous to play up close. They didn't have shields or good self heals, but had some stronger sets to make up for it, and did more damage. They have a lot of weapon abilities to choose from, but few class skills [mag and stam should be on the same level imo- class morphs for each, and weapon choices for each]

This theory has been totally warped and made not only redundant but just plain bad for both sides involved.

Now, magicka costs wayyy more, shields are garbage, have mediocre to crap self heals that require melee range, offer no pve utility anymore, can't run fast, break free, block more, dodge roll a bunch like stam can, and in terms of the game's history are YEARS behind in sets.

Stamina costs way less, does more ranged damage, does more melee damage, is safer, has more weapon skills and executes, does more AOE, more single target, can dodge, break free, block infinitely, more mobile, hell, ZOS outright full on said they designed the newest raid specifically to cater to stamdps, they continue to get buffed, get BETTER heals than magicka dps could ever dream about, and have all the most amazing sets in the game spoon fed to them, like Major Slayer for 15 seconds for pressing X on an orb or ritual. Let's not forget the new stamina necromancer class, where every magicka morph of a DPS skill is a crappy useless "utility" morph [you now do like 10 more aoe damage, your skull bounces, you restore 20 magicka per second] where stamina gets crazy damage boosts on all their morphs [skill now does 190412948% more damage, and also buffs you, and also debuffs the enemy]

I know Magicka was BiS and considered god tier dps a year ago, but going full reversal is NOT how to fix this. Stamina doesn't need to be the literal only viable option in order to make the game more interesting, and deliberately designing content to be "stamina-friendly" (AKA 3 parse bosses in a row) is just lazy and annoying for people who enjoy content where you get to do stuff besides dummy parse with add waves every 20%.

I'm fine with stamina doing the most damage, but the fact that they literally have all the advantages of magicka, with none of the disadvantages of magicka, is ridiculous, and I hope they look at this in the upcoming class audit and passive changes. Give more classes stam abilities, and STOP nerfing the everlasting crap out of magicka for being remotely competitive.

I hope I don't come across as hateful towards stam dps. I'm fine with stam dps being meta, heck, they deserve it after being shunned for most of the game's history, but going complete 180 in game direction is not what ZOS should have done after having years of criticism leveled at them for making magicka the only viable option.

the best part is, magicka is still king in pvp, and probably will be as long as they have the utility skills that are useless in pve but super powerful in pvp.

from the perspective of a magicka main who is constantly asked to switch to stamdps.

Even if we consider ourselves quite a laid back guild, there are still some rules and requirements our future guild members must abide:
  • Be mature. That means no tantrums, no blaming, no shaming, no raging, etc. We expect you to be a civil and cooperative guild member. Toxicity will not be tolerated
  • Be engaged in the community. Nobody will ever force you to do anything in this guild, but we are looking for people we get to meet and enjoy to be around, not fodder to our ranks. A strong community is the key to us
