Removal of ‘auto-targeting’ from skills

I would have made this a poll, but there is already a forest of them.

So! Hear me out, in first person shooter games if you aim at something you shoot, but if you don’t aim, you can still shoot...at anything.

Also, in Skyrim you can waste magicka firing who knows what at anything and missing. However! In ESO, you can only fire a single target ability if you’re pointed at an enemy and then the game takes over. It his them no matter what - unless they dodge. Anyone seen their shot ‘curve’?
Everyone gets that, right?

So! My thought is, what if that guaranteed hit (without dodge) was removed? So you shoot your snipe and your target could have moved by the time it lands, buuut...someone else could also move in the way with a shield (or without) and take the hit.

I have other things to add but I don’t want to make this too long.
Thoughts? Discussions? Comments? Insults? Questions?

Bot or Not? - Toon engaged with a gathering node but not doing anything

Are they a bot that has a full inventory and is therefore "stuck", waiting for an operator to resume control?
The node cannot be engaged with, presumably because the toon is presently engaged with the node.

Mage/Wizard Tower

I've come back recently to the game after a long hiatus, and one of things I really like about it now is the player housing.

In RPG's I usually play High Elf Mag/Wizard types. And as great as the housing options are, to me it looks like there is not real wizard type player housing for Altmer (or anyone else besides House Telvanni, and even that seems not to be available anymore). But I might be wrong, what is everyone using as their Mage Tower? Any good advice? I'm likely not the only one who'd like a Wizard Tower as their housing.

If not, I guess this has come up before, but even a relative small room at the Ceporah Tower would be great I think. Maybe only available after you finished the quest line (where at the end you get the invitation to stay or visit there whenever you want). At least you'd have some teleportation there, and a somewhat otherworldly atmosphere. But are the devs still opening housing options in older areas or does that never happen?

There seems to be an abundance in villa type or larger, wider housing options, but not so many for the vertically inclined.

Faction lock is not fair

Some of us grinded characters to play with our friends on the opposite factions,
or simply just got fed up with the behavior of our faction, morning cap, etc...

After faction lock made it to live, i literally do not login to my recent grinded char - Because simply most of my chars are AD,
So putting a home campaign on non-AD char is unreasonable.

Give us alliance change token, so our time of grinding wont go to waste.

Against my better judgment, I will give this one last go. I believe that, for the most part, the discussions have been fun and enjoyable. I feel that I've gotten to know some people on other factions a bit, and it is cool being killed by someone you recognize! :) Anyway, let's stick to talks of builds, funny stories (like the time I got jumped by 8 AD as I rode across the bridge and they bashed me to death as I fell out of my chair laughing), map strategy, which in game snacks you prefer, and of course... Ice trebs.

Easiest way to get your daily IC event tickets

How to get the achievement:
Participate in the killing of the 12 horrors in the Imperial City.

How to enter Imperial City:
- press "L"
- select "Campaigns"
- select "Imperial City"
- right click on either CP on Non-CP Imperial City
- choose "enter"
You will be transported to your Alliance Home Base in the Imperial Sewers.

How to check:
- press "J"
- select "Achievements"
- scroll down to "Imperial City"
- select "General"
- find "Horror of Horrors"

How to get event tickets:
Defeat the final boss of Imperial City Prison dungeon or White-Gold Tower dungeon
or
Defeat a patrolling boss (horror) in Imperial City or mini-boss in the Imperial City sewers.

There are 12 patrolling horrors in total, 2 of them spawn in each of the 6 districts in random order but at specific locations:

Not that I dont have anything better to do but spend pretend currency on pixels......honest.

Templar FPS Drop/Stutter w/Video

This is really bad. It's rendering Templar (and imo more so Stamplar) almost unplayable. It's not just FPS drop as playing at 20-30fps is still doable its heavy stuttering. You'll see in the following video as Im screwing around outside Roe that when Ritual and or Rune is up (not sure which one is responsible for it) that Im getting terrible stutter. As soon as those skills drop off I go back to finishing off the NPC and there is no issue. Some have suggested that it's one of the passives in the line, I'd have to do much more thorough testing for that, but there is absolutely a problem and it really needs to be patched in with an incremental. This is not an acceptable state for this class to be in. Also I suppose I should add that I have a GTX1070 w/16GB of RAM and an i7 processor so this should not be an issue. Graphics are also turned way down.

This One Has An Idea (Crown Store Items In Tradable Containers)

The ability to put Crown Store content in a Container that you can trade. This one thinks that it will make it easier to do Crown trades for Gold as it makes use of the best way of trading in ESO. The trade system instead of using mail. (Which would still benefit from this.) This one thinks if ZOS really don't mind Crown Selling then implementing something like this wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility.

Craglorn delve bosses loot - same drops as world bosses

Hi there!

I have tried to find an answer on that topic myself but unfortunately I did not.

So yesterday I did spent some time to farm some things in Craglorn and went into a delve too. I was a bit surprised that the bosses within the delve did have the same drops like overland world bosses (head, chest, legs, weapons from sets). Now that was somehow strange for me as it shouldnt be like this, at least it isnt within other zones.

This leads me to the question if this is intended or if this is a bug? Might be that for Craglorn its different - never really paid attention to it, so I am just curious.

Is the Werewolf time limit really necessary?

I mean, lets be real, in combat you wont run out of time anyway. Be it PvE or PvP, the amount of time you get back from all your abilities and passives will make sure that you will always stay in WW unless you dont want to.

The only thing the time limit really does, is to make sure you cant read any quest-texts, cant watch events or do anything but rush from one mob to another. When you run a new dungeon first time as a werewolf you have no chance to actually enjoy the quest, especially when it includes events.

And cmone, while Werewolfs are strong fighters, they come with enough drawbacks to balance it out, there is really no reason for them to be so time-gated.

Next patch - make everything with cast times interruptible.

Please take this game back in the visceral and reactive direction it originally was intended to go.

I remember the very first teasers for this game which aired during the closed beta, and back then the original vision was a game where you could block, interupt, evade and synergize in a fast-paced environment that no other MMOs could offer.

Over ther years, the ability to interupt cast-timed abilities gradually disappeared, and nowadays, almost everything with a cast time is safe to use. In the beginning, synergies sort of mattered - nowadays you just take the purge in PvP. And up until now, the game has been relatively tactical with how CCs worked - but now they are not accessible in the same way.

So what we have now is a game where you just apply a lot of DoTs and try to outlast your opponent who does the same thing to you. The tactical aspect of the game has been dimished and dumbed down too much now. Almost all the competitive guilds left the game within a few years, and they are not coming back as long as this game is becoming more and more casual.

It time to take the game in another direction, and with the removal of many of the classics stuns and roots, at least make more tactical again by making abilities with cast times interruptible.

Most cast-time abilities are extremely powerful and should follow the "high risk - high reward" philosophy. Ultimates should be an exception from this, but for regular abilities, what is the worste that could happen? The player would have to do a CC-break and then life goes on. However, it would make the game more tactical and reactive.

Since the update, breaking down enchantments has resulted in less rune components.
I used to get the occasional "No usable items" kind of note at the top of the screen. Now there is alot of nothing.
I broke down 10 enchantments on a character and received 3 components total. I have all the passives in enchanting.
I have repeated this on each of my 8 characters with similar results.

How to make the combat better for me.

Here is a small list of things I would change to make the combat better.


Skills that buff, make them tad weaker, but a toggle like the old leeching strikes.

With the new buffs like this, add things that improve weapon damage for players who like to swing/block more than spam skills.

Make sneak attack with range weapons not need to be behind target. I mean this is a common sense thing.



For example Grim Focus. Why the heck do you need to cast the buff? Would it really be that op to just have it always on? Things like this is just bad game design, it is clutter and tedious for the sake of hitting a extra button.

NightBlade and Necromancer With Staff Feels Weird

Both NB and Necro feel very off using a lighting or fire staff.Does not match class skill themes to me at all. Is it just me? lol

To me, Ice feels much better to match the undead / blood theme of Magicka NB and Necro. But that is tanking only now. Lightning skeletons feel, forced, and not in theme with death magic. Do you run a NB or Necro with a staff?

Tired of "fake tanks" in random queues

Honestly the amount of people who queue for tank (and to a lesser degree, healer) in some cases and just do subpar DPS instead of the role they signed up for is super annoying.
If you queue as a tank, just please actually tank. It's common courtesy to do the role you signed up for. I get DPS queues are bad, but I didn't sit in a half-hour long queue either just to die over and over because we don't have a tank redirecting damage.
And before that that "uwu but if it's a normal then who cares" argument crops up, it doesn't matter what difficulty it is. You're still a jerk. Unless you can nuke everything into orbit and "tank" that way, you should just queue with a friend to cut the lines instead. The roles are there for a reason.

Economic Update: Toss the Blue Master Writs

After almost a month since the major update to jewelry crafting master writs, the expected scarcity of iridium plate and resulting spike in prices of both the grains and plating have made completion of the newly introduced "Superior Master Writs" not worth doing. I expect the prices for iridium grains and plating will continue to climb until the market stabilizes to a somewhat fixed price range. If you are a daily master crafter like me, I recommend hoarding your iridium plating materials for the new Epic and/or Legendary Master Jewelry Writs-- as they seem to still fall within the realm of worth doing. Even though you may feel compelled to complete the Superior writs for the healthy 25+ vouchers they offer, the opportunity cost of selling the materials required to complete the writ and selling the writ itself will exceed the purchasing power of the vouchers you receive. In other words, you could take the money you make from selling the iridum plating (at roughly 6-8k per item) the trait item, the platinum ounces and the writ itself and buy whatever you were planning on using the vouchers for from most guild traders. Happy crafting and may the RNG be with your drops!

No master crafting writs for sets in Summerset, murkmire and Elsweyr

I might be wrong, but I haven't seen any MC writs for DLCs or zones after Morrowind. None of my guildmates have either. What gives?
