I reeeeeeeeeeeally hope this arms pack looks very "piratey" and not as generic as the sword/shield on the screenshot...that would be a huge bummer

I hope for a cutlass, anker-axe, cannon-ball mace, a shield that looks like a ship wheel, a staff with a mermaid on top etc. etc.

Very simple question really - I can buy the new moon mounts for 400 crown gems each but can't buy the respective new moon pets with the same gems.
Why? What's the logic?

Should Important Buffs Last Longer?

In my eyes, it would be a healthy change to make skills that give you important buffs, like Major Sorcery and Major Brutality, things you should keep up all the time, last longer. By that i mean Skills like Siphoning Strikes and Grim Focus on Nightblade, or Surge and Lightning Form on Sorcerer, even tho i have to say the 33sec on Surge is pretty much perfect, and the bar i would use for all other buff skills. My idea would be to make skills like this ALL go for 30sec. so theyre easier to keep up in a rotation. Like, the stamina morph of Grim Focus has 30sec. but the magicka only 20, so you have to use it 3 times in one minute instead of 2, which maybe doesnt sound like much, but i personally find it pretty annoying dealing with so many diffrent timers on buffs you HAVE to keep up 100%. Also im a Mag-Sorc main, and keeping up the 33sec. Surge and the 23sec. Lightning Form can get a bit fiddly at times. I basically just overcast Surge every 20sec. with Lightning Form, so i have to only keep track of one mental timer.

They already are working on doing this for things like ground AoEs, which are almost all 8-12 seconds now depending on morph (i think next patch its 10-12sec.), which is a really good change. So i hope a change like this isnt asked too much, it just would save all players a lot of time.

IMO, there a very few pvp cheaters in this game.

Why do I say this, simply, in pvp there are some extremely good players, with dang good builds.

Now as far as the few that really do cheat, you can tell everytime when they show up.

First way to tell in the forums, is when certain folks try to defend their actions, with its a game mech.

But its awful weird to attack a player with 10-20 other players and he/she never drops any life, but easily kills anyone they attack in less than 1 second.

There is NO possible way to set off 5 abilities in less than 1 second, but some players do that all the time.

How is that, even using anamation canceling, or weaving, you can't do that and have all 5 abilities go off at once, but some peeps can.

So keep on reporting, but try and make sure they are actually a cheater, not just a good player :)

Alt Characters as Placeable Furnishings

So let's be realistic. Barring being a place to drop those storage chests, housing is 99.7% about bragging rights and flaunting all the pretty things you have collected/crafted/bought/found/etc. And that's 100% okay. But another thing people like to show off are their outfits and motifs, as well as the characters themselves.

So basically... how cool would it be to have our characters be "placeable" in homes? ZOS has proven that 'placeable people' can be done, what with Pirharri, Nuzhimeh, & Tythis Andromo (or any of the "Assistants") existing. And while I can think of 1001 things that could be even cooler in that regard, I'd even take something basic.

Poses: characters could maintain idle poses from whatever personality you have assigned them (if applicable). Alternately, they could be assigned when they are "placed".
--Limits: obviously you'd be limited to whatever personalities you have earned or purchased.

Outfits: Similar to poses, this could just be taken from whatever outfit/costume you've currently assigned the character(s) in question, or you could assign them an outfit or costume when they were "placed".
--Limits: also fairly obvious, but you'd be limited to whatever costumes and outfit styles/slots you owned. Also a given.

General/Overall Limits: Obviously different-sized houses would limit how many characters could be placed. As fun as it might be to cram 17 alts into an inn room, it's easy to understand why that would need to be limited. lol.

Interactability: while it'd be cool to have them say generic NPC dialogue like "hail" or "yes?" or whatever, that'd just be a neat little bonus rather than something to be expected. Again, much like housing, having characters as "furnishings" would be mostly just to show them off, and would save many of us a dozen or more loading screens if we're showing off.

"But Zulera!" I can hear someone say, "why do you need to show off?"
because why not? The only gameplay use housing has is for those storage chests. The rest is to flaunt your goods and achievements. Why not be able to flaunt a few of your characters that you've no doubt poured all kinds of time and energy into perfecting their look, the same way you flaunt the houses you've put hours into furnishing and designing? It'd definitely also augment the roleplaying community (for better or for worse), so that's a bonus as well. Surely I can't be the only one who's ever thought of this.
...and I suppose regarding what happens if a character is a "furnishing" and you log in with that character... maybe it's just a paradox like all the Eazbis/Nuzhimehs/etc that are anywhere at any given time. I figure that's a minor issue at best.

TL;DR—let us have our alts as special furnishings, please?

Vampire change ideas

I always was annoyed that you kinda HAVE to go vampire for every dps build (at least magicka wise) for the regen and other buffs. Even for casual play and quests, the fast sneaking speed is amazing.
But ***, its still so, so ugly. As humanoid races, you can see every single vein in your body, which i personally really dont like. And as Argonian or Khajiit, you kinda HAVE to go with pure white color, else you look absolutley disgusting as a vamp. I really would love a tiger pattern on my Khajiit, but because i like to thief with him in overworld, i have to go vamp alone for the sneak speed, and have to take white fur to not look horrible. Not even to mention that your eyecolor doesnt matter at ALL anymore, it gets completley replaced by the red.
Also, while im not a huge fan of tatoos myself, you have SO many tatoos in the game, for REAL MONEY at that, and cant see them at all on a vampire, IF you even take one of the very limited costumes that show enough skin, especially on males. Thats just extremly lazy. If you would at least be able to see patterns and tatoos normally while a vampire, it would already be a huge step forward.

And i already heard from other players that they would love a normal skin option for vampires, so you can CHOOSE if you want the pale white or your default color on which you probably spent some time in the character maker. And dont come with something like "But you choose to look ugly if youre a vampire!" I choose vampire for the perks only, also its lore that vampires in TES can hide their vampiric apperance, i think you even see it in a few quests in this game. So an option like this, similar to "hide helmet", probably wouldnt be too hard to implement, if they wanted to. Also, "hiding" your helmet in battle even if you have one on, is MUCH less lorefriendly.

But enough about that, a few ideas are as follows:

- Even if this idea got thrown around by a lot of others already, ill propose it again. Make Vampire more like a magicka Werewolf, with a Vampire-Lord ultimate that gives you a line of unique skills, instead of the 2 "normal" skills. I know that PvP uses the Mistform in some builds, but noone ive personally seen EVER used the drain. Maybe a skill like the mist can be implemented somewhere else, like in mages guild or whatever. Ill leave it at this, because it got dicussed SO much already, there are probably entire fictional skilltrees for this idea.

- Maybe keep the 10% mag regen, remove the 10% stam regen, and give the sneak speed increase passive to the Legerdemain or Thieves Guild lines, so people have to play the game a bit to get this probably best quality-of-life passive in the game. With this change alone i would abandon vampire INSTANTLY!

- Make Vampire weaker instead of stronger after not feeding for a while. Makes no sense whatsoever that a hungry vampire gets somehow stronger without more energy. So people would have to use the MAIN MECHANIC of vampire, which is feeding! I really dont think anyone feeds anymore on any vampire, i could be wrong, but it wouldnt be worth it at all.

I wanted to write more, but honestly, ill leave it here. Doesnt get read by devs anyways, makes no sense why i wrote this, but i had to throw it out there. Its so sad the devs dont listen to players at all in this game...

Imperial City should be alliance locked

I just want to preface this by saying I dont think alliance lock is a good idea for Cyrodiil campaigns, it's not useful to anyone. However; I do believe the Imperial City should be alliance locked.

My reasoning is because the Imperial City is not only a place to pvp, but where the end game pvpers go to earn a living. When you enter the IC you must fight for your rights to the territory and the tel var that comes with it.

It becomes very frustrating when I enter the city with my small group, wipe all the other groups in there to EARN territory; then shortly after I see the same groups I wiped previously all swapped over to my color so that they dont get PKed any more and can leech tel var with no repercussions!!

This takes all the reward out of earning territory through pvp in the IC, and it feels like a total cop out. ZOS at least start a day to day alliance lock in the IC so cheesers cant leech, please and thank you!

In a future patch during this PTS cycle, we will be increasing the total damage of any Damage over Time abilities that were adjusted in PTS v5.2.0 by approximately 20% to reduce situations where many of the abilities felt difficult to maintain outside of nanosecond perfect rotation. This means there will be an overall reduction in damage from DoT abilities of approximately 33% compared to what is currently on the Live megaservers.

Introduce 810CP Group Finder option

Not all of us Veterans enjoy having to teach mechanics and even simple game play in dungeons that we have done hundreds or even thousands of times. Some of us do, but are then forced to carry the newer player through the dungeon, if possible with the newer dungeons having very heavy mechanics involved. I understand console players can explain mechanics using voip, but on pc we typically just type the information into the chat box if needed. This slows progress and makes a fun experience turn into a labor of love as you hope and pray the player can pick up and understand the explanation of the mechanics as it is given.. No, I'm not being "Elitist", I am suggesting an Idea that would actually entice players that normally would never "PUG" to once again give Group Finder a go on slow and boring days, or just to meet other end game players. I have always thought that mixing your "End game" players with "New" players by force will do nothing but aggravate all involved in any instance, dungeon or situation. I am sure the new players also don't enjoy having to be through dungeons that they have never seen before at a brake neck speed or kicked from group. ~ Just a thought. DDSF

I had to turn off game music entirely, and turn up the Effects channel to 100 to barely be able to hear it!

Can music boxes please replace game music in homes when they are active? And at a reasonable volume please?

Decorating outside of Normal Style

Hi everyone!

I am curious about something. In my search for decorating ideas for Alinor Townhouse, I see most everyone uses the Alinor-style furniture, which makes sense due to its location. Has anyone ever decorated the place using other styles? My plan is to use Elsweyr/Khajiit/Redguard styles. Ideally, I'll use mainly Elsweyr, but I'm still grinding recipes and materials, so it may be a bit before I have the entire place furnished in that style.

Just curious if anyone has done something like that :)

Flip Khajiit and Bosmer stealth passives?

Khajiit can smell better than other men and mer, right? For example, Khamira at the Halls of Colossus says she can smell that men were here ahead of them.

So suppose Khajiit are the ones with better Stealth Detection? And Bosmer are better at Stealth Radius Reduction (being typically smaller in size and with a cultural preference for sneakiness in the woods and commando action).
