Bosmer/Wood Elf, another open letter about stealth, combat abilities and flavor

Hello, fellow players,
hello, ZOS people,

I'd like to express my thoughts about the current state of Bosmer/wood elves in ESO.

The good:
- They look cute.
- They have a funny background - eco-cannibals.

The bad:
- Their racials are somewhat below the curve.
- The loss of their stealth bonus was a hard hit, and seems not to fit to the lore.

Currently, their stats don't give them much of an identity, in my opinion. For example, Orcs are tough, physical brawler types. Redguards never tire. Khajit are stealth, lucky jack of all trades. But what about Bosmer? A bonus to weapon damage and stamina regeneration makes them... what? Good fighters. Nice gameplay wise, but lacking flair. A bonus from dodge-rolling and bonus to stealth detection neither contributes to their flavor, and is even near irrelevant combat wise.

So, what's your opinion?

Now don't get me wrong... The DOT meta sucked hard, but at least people kept dying. What we have now though? Holy ***....

High MMR BGs are just full of players running 40k-50k+ health blocking and watching each other until their ults charge then atttempt :joy: to kill each other.

Can we please have an increase of block costs and decrease of block mitigation on battlespirit, with one hand and shield equipped? Hell, why don't you add a forced defense cap too :D This is actually ridiculous and boring as hell :joy:

I know I know... it does supposedly have voice chat.... but making hot tea without a working method to boil the water means you don't have hot tea. You merely have water and a tea bag.

So... when is voice chat going to be fixed? It's been broken now for months. No fix... maintenance didn't fix it... no mention of it???

You can't rely on PSN chat.. that's fine for trials... but guild chat now becomes utterly useless. No-one uses it anymore because it's broken.

I'm the GM of a guild, and can't access guild chat, officer chat - or even zone chat. It's broken.

So.... can we have a fix ASAP? Or are we wasting our time with this MMO now? At least be honest with us.

Let's take a second and evaluate the overall feel of PvP. After this tumultuous PTS cycle what are people feeling? I dont want this to degrade into a class specific nerf or buff thread this is about the feel of PvP and the overall direction this patch has gone in and is it the right direction or wrong? My personal feeling is this patch is a vast improvement over last patch. We are going to run into some issues as the weeks go by of course but overall my first impressions are that I like the direction this is headed. I feel really powerful again and more like I have control over the out come of the fight, the snare changes are really helping and so far I really like where DoTs are at. Even though twin slashes is about half the damage it was, I think it was too strong and now have Master DW feels still beneficial wtihout being way over the top.

Something is wrong with wp dmg. It changes sometimes and i miss between 80-250 from time to time. This is without ANY buff!

I've done nMA about 25 times and no jewelery or shields. Someone in zone chat says they only drop in vMA. Is this true? Thanks.

I have 2 computers, but only one has EHT installed. If I were to install EHT on the second machine will it automatically see the FX I put in from the first machine, or do I need to copy the files over?

Unable to Speak through ESO Voice Channels

Hello,

Currently I am unable to pick up any voice communication from either Zone channel and Guild channels. My head set/mic work just fine as I'm able to use voice over the PS4 party system but I am unable to pick up voice from the ESO social chat menus. When I'm in social chat menus, odds things happen intermittently, for example, I'll I choose a guild channel and it will count down from 6 to 0, then it repeats without any intervention from me. Sometimes it will allow me to disconnect, sometimes it will not. When I am able to back out of a channel, to choose a different channel, the previous channel disappears from the menu and never returns. Some times when logging in for the first time of the day, it auto logs me into a guild channel randomly and I can't get out/disconnect, it just continues to count down from 6 to 0, then repeats. Sometimes when logging in, I'' check the voice channels and there will be no option for zone chat. Each example given, there is no voice commutation but I can hear the game environment sounds just fine, just no person to person communication.

Please advise, Thank you

Has anyone noticed weird warden's bear behaviour after newest patch?

While I was doing some parses on target dummy my bear started to do some weird movements and turns. I noticed that it might be connected to me casting Betty Netch. It looks like they cannot stand together in one place or something like that.

Has anyone experienced the same thing? Was this behaviour present also in Scalebreaker?

So i love theorycrafting and trying out weird builds in pvp, most are total ass, but when it works, it works.

Posting this because i always said medium was better than heavy..until i made a SnB/bow nord warden with max resistances, mag for wings, ice shield and lotus, crazy ult gen (like dawnbreaker IN my perma), 3k health recovery, oh and fully buffed ~5k wpn damage.


So, now I'm brainstorming how to make heavy builds on all my stam toons lol...

Anyway, let's hear those builds!

Remove the battleground penalty when you get disconnected or finally fix the disconnecting issues!

Title says it all.

It seems like you can't get rid of the permanent disconnects so don't punish players by giving them a penalty for "leaving battleground" on purpose.

Did several battlegrounds today and already got kicked out of three of them with 20m waiting time to be able to queue again.

The first time it was a usual dc. No lag just immediately disconnected.

The second one was a hardcore lag where the game didn't synchronize with the servers and after 20sec of waiting time the disconnect happened.

The third time it was a game error crashing to the home screen.

Playing on PS4 Pro with a good connection. Even switched from WLAN to LAN (guess what, nothing changed). So the problem is neither my PC nor my connection (the only dc I have is the usual 24h restart at 4 am).

Why am I punished for your fault, ZOS? I know not everybody on PS4 is experiencing disconnects but this is the single most annoying thing that lets me think about quitting ESO although I don't want to.

At least give us 2min of time to reconnect before you kick us out of battlegrounds and give the penalty!

Title literally has the word spoiler in it, you have been warned. Skyrim has been contentiously teased over the past year such as in crown store backgrounds, with this dlc teasing it very hard. Below are just two references from many that have name dropped skyrim, or teased it. This is the same manner elsweyr was teased. I predict Skyrim will release 2020, which many people will argue that it makes more sense for a skyrim chapter to release in 2021 since it would be the 10th year anniversary, but oblivion's 15th year anniversary is also in 2021. So Skyrim 2020, and the rest of Cyrodil 2021.

The Herbalists product Quest rewards bugged

There is none who doesn´t think DC has already won the most competitive campaign. Such is the strength of the DC armies that both AD and EP fell far behing in scrores.
Amazingly the ever losing faction trained their soldiers and fought hard to earn this win. DC Daniel would be proud of you all (hope he sees this!).

What went wrong with AD? The previous 2 campaigns were won by them but now last. EP looked really strong in the beginning but quickly DC took the lead and kept it.

This day is DC´s. Shall this be remembered as the day when the hard work triumphed.

Stuck at Laatvulon fight 29%

Game freezes in the end battle with Laatvulon and and regenerative spirit keeps going on spamming 515 forever. Anyone else having the same problem???
