Second Legion style?

Patch notes 5.2.3 that include the Midyear Mayhem event only mention the Legion Zero outfit style as a reward from the event. Will it not include the Second Legion outfit style?

Will the Second Legion style be included? I have personally REALLY been looking forward to it, ever since we first saw it earlier this year. It's what disappointed me the most about the Midyear Mayhem event being delayed. Second Legion is just such a unique style, different from everything else that is avaliable in the game.

Could we please have an update in regards to the outfit style? @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom

So what about the rewards...

I think cancelling the event while the servers can't handle it was the good decision to make, so I am happy they took this path. (Also, I still think 28 rewards in just four days was complete nonsensical madness from the start, that could only lead to servers collapsing under pressure.)

I am wondering whether you (I mean ZOS) plan to make the rewards from the undaunted event (opal styles) available through other means in the near future, and how you plan to compensate for the loss of tickets which affect ability to buy berries, plumes, and thus entries in the tombola...

Otherwise, those styles that a few have managed to farm in a couple of hours in bad server conditions are bound to become unbelievably expensive, which might affect the economy. (Also, the fact that they still appear greyed out in my collection irks me...)

(Also, if you could find a way to bring back the frostbane pets from last year's event, it would be great as well...)

Undaunted event cancellation

Just want to commend zos for pulling the pin on the event because of activity finder issues. I want to plead that the replacement event isn't a huge grind. I loved the fact that the undaunted event was short, 3 tickets per day and relatively easy. I hope the replacement is equally easy. I also would like zos to address the fact that some people were able to get event tickets and Opal pages while others were not. The event dropped at my 2 a.m. I was fast asleep and woke to the shambles. People are advantaged by being on a different time zone. I know some on console got 3 tickets, multiple Opal pages which they are selling for millions of gold. This I feel is the most unfair of the cancellation of the event. Cancel everything, tickets/ pages...EVERYTHING!!

Not surprised it happened, just by how fast and clearly unprepared for it ZoS was.

Old game was much better for me - version before race passives change.

Is it possible to return game to old version and return old game creators?

If it is possible would you like them revert all to 1 year ago state? And change new team to old team?
Yes? No? Both - if you are good with old and new.

A Guide to Dunmeri Cuisine. Food, Drinks & Cooking Myths.

INTRODUCTION

Once slurping that Solitude Salmon-Millet Soup I caught myself thinking: "Damn! Why the Oblivion I eat this Nordic gippo instead of eating my native Dunmeri food?". I also decided to open a restaurant, say "Hlervu's Dunmeri cuisine a la carte Restaurant", at one of my houses in Vvardenfell. What do you think of it? Anyway, we don't live to eat, but we eat to live. The variety of Dunmeri dishes fully describes the variety of our culture. Yes, these days the majority of tamrielics eat common food with no concern of what exactly do they eat. No matter what food it is - it buffs the attributes and the people feel fine. But every food is a cultural feature and not only a mean to buff stats. Sometimes it tells us much more regarding some specific culture than any book can ever describe. Tell me what you eat and I'll tell you what you are. For example that Falinesti Forbidden Fruit dish which is named after a Bosmeri lost city - this entremet type dish consists only of melon, radish and seasoning. An awful and useless meal, I might add.. It's 100% vegetable ingredients, so it is a pure violation of the Green Pact in the Bosmeri diet, thus it is called forbidden. Ah, those Bosmer do not wish neither to think nor to work while they are hungry, though when they're well-fed they just can't work at all. So if you happen to own a Bosmeri slave keep it half-starved to work more and to think less.

FOOD

igor-levchenko-morrowind-dunmeri-bazaar-by-igorlevchenko-dbzemsn.jpg?1528316553

This Guide is not intended to give you a description of any nutrition facts because they can change. You know those silly Nirn-wide phenomenons when your hammer was Volendrung itself yesterday but today it won't help you even to strike a nail into the wall. Food is not exclusive here.. There are 277 known recipes of common pan-tamrielic and national dishes overall today. Though some future events might bring us some more recipes, 24 out of those 277 are purely Dunmeri dishes. I think it is a great number. Our dishes consist of three main types:
six fruit dishes:
ON-icon-food-Fruit_Plate_02.pngDeshaan Honeydew Hors D'Ouevre,
ON-icon-food-Salad_04.pngRedoran Peppered Melon,
ON-icon-food-Seafood_Skillet.pngStormhold Baked Bananas,
ON-icon-food-Green_Stew.pngKragenmoor Pickled Pumpkin,
ON-icon-food-Brown_Soup.pngOrdinator's Beetle-Cheese Soup
and
ON-icon-food-Fried_Rice.pngHouse Hlaalu Pumpkin Risotto;
four vegetable dishes:
ON-icon-food-Scones.pngBalmora Cabbage Biscuits,
ON-icon-food-Tart.pngIndoril Radish Tartlets,
ON-icon-food-Baguette.pngVvardenfell Ash Yam Loaf
and
ON-icon-food-Yellow_Soup.pngVelothi Cabbage Soup),
two savoury dishes:
ON-icon-food-Poultry.pngGrape-Glazed Bantam Guar,
ON-icon-food-Stew.pngAshlander Nix-Hound Chili),
three ragout dishes:
ON-icon-food-Seafood_Skillet.pngNarsis Bantam Guar Hash,
ON-icon-food-Risotto.pngNecrom Beetle-Cheese Poutine,
ON-icon-food-Open_Top_Pie.pngKwama Egg Omelet;
two gourmet dishes:
ON-icon-food-Stew.pngVvardenfell Cliff Racer Ragout
and
ON-icon-food-Borscht.pngAshlander Ochre Mash;
and four meat dishes:
ON-icon-food-Brown_Chunky_Soup.pngBlacklight Oxen Meatballs,
ON-icon-food-Risotto.pngCurried Kwama Scrib Risotto,
ON-icon-food-Porkchop.pngDunmeri Jerked Horse Haunch,
ON-icon-food-Open_Top_Pie.pngKwama Egg Quiche;
and as many as three national delicacy dishes:
ON-icon-food-Lava_Foot_Soup-And-Saltrice.pngLava Foot Soup and Saltrice,
ON-icon-food-Brown_Soup.pngDeregulated Mushroom Stew
and
ON-icon-food-Seafood_Skillet.pngClockwork Citrus Filet.

So now you see the most common ingredients we use are melons, saltrice, seasoning, cheese, bananas (if a dish was invented in our Southern regions like Stormhold), pumpkin, tomatoes, greens, flour, radish, potato, poultry, Jazbay grapes, white and red meat, garlic, beets, game and small game, carrots, those rare Frost Miriam plant and perfect roe, scrib jelly, Namira's rot, Imp stool and lemons. As you see it, all the major Dunmeri factions have its signature dish. Though of course it doesn't mean you have to eat that Ordinator's Beetle-Cheese Soup only after becoming an Ordinator (check my guide to become the one here). I will not touch any Clockwork City dishes here because personally I think it is not food. Those flavorless nutriment paste, fabricant meat, few organic foods harvested at the Everwound Wellspring farm only due to continious sacrifices of the locals, etc. are beyond of my views on Good and Evil. I only hope that fabricated "food" won't become cheaper than that organic one so merchants and food manufacturers will not switch all their assets to produce that dung. Clockwork Citrus Filet's nutriment facts are very high, but this delicacy dish is made of fabricant flesh, perfectly seared and braised in local "fruits". Same story is with that fabricant Deregulated Mushroom Stew. Hm.. I'd better eat that Frosted brain on a stick. It's organic after all: white meat, honey.. Mm, yammy! This list is not final - some recipes like Redoran Cooking Secrets contain some exotic types of ingredients to cook seemingly common dishes like Crab Meat Stew and Frog Muffins. Though I guess you won't find any frogs, House Redoran knows not only the ways of killing, but also the ways of cooking.

COOKING MYTH

Do we have any cooking myths? Yes! Some foreign nations say we eat horses. Haha, a nice try to slander there. But an effective one though.. The only known "horse" dish we have is that Dunmeri Jerked Horse Haunch. Yes, it is a meat type dish, but look at its ingredients - radish and seasoning only! Yuck.. Anyway, some may say that horse meat is a "secret ingredient" of that recipe thus it's left unmentioned. But it is not true because three other Dunmeri dishes of that type do have at least red meat or poultry on the list thus representing certain meat ingredients to cook them. Kwama scrib's meat is considered to be a poultry type of meat there, while oxen meatballs are made of red meat. And of course you can't make Risotto without saltrice. Horses are passive animals, thus their meat ought to be white meat. But it is not on the list. Just ask yourself: "If horse meat cooking is so common to Dunmer society, why is there not a single recipe to cook it out there within all the riches of the local cuisine?" I guess the answer is clear. So no horses here until you find a single Dunmer eating it.

Moreover, according to the Ordinator Edict Mandate Twenty-One, creatures' meat cataloged in the Sacred Register of Unclean Beasts is not permitted within Vivec City limits. This list includes many milk-producing beasts, owls, tailless apes, dreugh larvae, and egg-laden crustaceans. Horses are milk-producing animals and thus seem to be considered unclean. So if a merchant does not want to be sentenced to the forfeiture of any Writs of Divine Sanction, fines, and possible corporal reeducation he will not sell it in Vivec City and will submit all the meat he sells for an inspection by a Temple-appointed Dreni'urolan. That Sacred Register of Unclean Beasts might also be the real reason horses are naturally absent in Vvardenfell. That outlanders' fear for us eating their steeds in the streets is nonsense. We are not horse eaters!

ON TO THE DRINKS!

igor-levchenko-morrowind-hookah-smokers-by-igorlevchenko-dc3soih.jpg?1522236114

There are 277 known recipes of common pan-tamrielic and national drinks overall today. Morrowind is well known for its traditional alcohol drinks exports of
ON-icon-food-Brown_Bottle.pngGreef (a Distillate type of drink),
ON-icon-food-Tonic.pngSujamma (a Liqueur type of drink),
ON-icon-food-Spirits_Red.pngShein (a Tincture type of drink),
ON-icon-food-Spirits_Blue.pngFlin (a Tincture type of drink)
and Mazte. Though some mazte types like Psijic Sage's Mazte might be brewed outside of Morrowind, it is none the less a Dunmeri national drink. Today we have 13 (!) types only of mazte among those 277 recipes:
ON-icon-food-Tonic.pngMazte,
ON-icon-food-Spirits_Red.pngLemon Flower Mazte,
ON-icon-food-Red_Bottle.pngAcai Dry Mazte,
ON-icon-food-Glass_Bottle.pngGossamer Mazte,
ON-icon-food-Spirits_Red.pngSpiced Mazte,
ON-icon-food-Spirits_Green.pngDouble Clarified Mazte,
ON-icon-food-Tonic.pngSummer Mazte,
ON-icon-food-Spirits.pngMonkeypants Mazte,
ON-icon-food-Glass_Bottle.pngSweet Scamp Mazte,
ON-icon-food-Spirits.pngBlacklight Ginger Mazte,
ON-icon-food-Brown_Bottle.pngNecrom Nights Mazte,
ON-icon-food-Spirits_Blue.pngKagouti Kick Mazte,
ON-icon-food-Spirits_Red.pngPsijic Sage's Mazte
and
ON-icon-food-Red_Bottle.pngKragenmoor Zinger Mazte.
I've said it's 13 types, but mentioned 14 here. Why? All those mazte types are made of rice except that Sweet Scamp "Mazte" which is made of Surilie Grapes, so technically this type of mazte is not mazte at all. It's a counterfeit alcohol product for sure, I do not recommend you to drink. An honorable Dunmer would never drink that booze.

Soft drinks are less known outside of Morrowind. We have 4 sorts of tea represented by
ON-icon-food-Tea_02.pngVivec's Gingergreen Chai,
ON-icon-food-Tonic.pngMournhold Twister,
ON-icon-food-Tea_01.pngTelvanni Tea
and
ON-icon-food-Tea_05.pngMuthsera's Remorse.
Among those sorts of tea today I'd recommend you to try Muthsera's Remorse for it's bold and earthy taste and Telvanni tea (yes, the Bug Musk perfume is not the only good product our Telvanni kin have invented) for it's invigorating flavor which not only brings you clarity of thought but also restores your stamina.

And finally we have three more drinks we make here:
ON-icon-food-Beer_02.pngNarsis Wickweat Ale,
ON-icon-food-Spirits_Blue.pngFyr's Hyperagonal Potation
and possibly
ON-icon-food-Red_Bottle.pngVelothi View Vintage Malbec.
Well, there's nothing special with that ale (House Hlaalu has never invented anything outstanding) and Velothi View wine (though I think it's the only non-dunmeri product mentioned here - wines are not Dunmeri featured drinks, though this one resembles that homonymous Velothi part which could be given after the Velothi Mountains instead of the Velothi people), though the wine is hard enough. But Fyr's Hyperagonal Potation is something! I've never thought Divayth's advanced age is based on that hard drinking.

That's all for now. Thanks to everyone who has read it all. Bon appetite to you!

Both paintings made by Igor Levchenko.

Sad to see that one go!

BUGGED BOOKS Patch 3.2.5

This Spreadsheet is an ongoing list of problem books and fixed books: Eidetic Memory Bugged Books List

This is an on-going effort to make certain that all books listed in the Eidetic Memory are accessible to all characters, so that 100% completion of the Eidetic Memory may be obtained (between DLCs and Chapters of course!)

There are a few problems that arise that cause books to become inaccessible:
1. They exist inside an area only accessible while the character has the quest. Reading these is not a requirement on the quest.
2. They are a quest item, they may start the quest and/or be read during the quest, but after the quest they have no location in the world. Some of these MUST be read in the quest inventory while on the quest in order to register.
3. Phasing. Some areas in the world change as the character progresses the story in the area and some books are only seen before the story is done.
4. Alliance restricted (this applies to a very few books that only exist within the alliance bases in Cyrodiil)
5. Other

Last but not least, Community help to locate missing books. It would be great if ZoS could confirm books the Community cannot locate are actually in the game:)

I want to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who is contributing to this thread/project, you all rock!

You're killing my little dress up heart. Why does every single Robe had to go all the way down to the ground? This is a BEAUTIFUL piece of Khajiiti cultural garb and yet it has to have a length that drags it into the dirt we trudge through on the daily. I am an avid End Gamer of Elder Fashion Online guys and I would've been ROCKIN the Sunspire Robe if it just showed even just a little bit of leg.

Did the Undaunted event run smoothly on PC NA servers ?
Can we assume that they run the exact same software on both PC EU and PC NA ?
If so the conclusion has to be that it's all about the server and nothing but the servers can't handle the amount of players and has to be upgraded for this to be fixed.

If it is the servers that are not able to handle the load what are they investigating everytime the servers are overloaded ?

Raid Groups and Travelling Broken Again [PS4]

Was in Reaper's March yesterday. Joined a guild raid group that was already in progress in Hel Ra. They lost some players because they DC'd and I was coming in to fill a spot. I could not (1) travel to the group, (2) use a wayshrine to travel to Hel Ra, and my favorite (3) use a wayshrine to travel to the wayshrine near Hel Ra and walk in. Each time, the game froze and I had to restart. Also, it put up the wrong art on the screen as in Gold Coast, Elsweyr, or anything but Hel Ra. Could only travel out of the zone after I left the group. Several guildies said they have experienced the same issues with other raids.

I thought this was fixed when Elsweyr came out. Feels like the new patch broke it again. Please fix.

Necromancer Build: DPS Support (PvE)

$

This is a general concept to give you the grand idea on the matter.

It is highly recommended that you modify and customize your Champion Points, Mundus Stone, Enchantments and Traits personally. You may also even use a different Monster Set or secondary Gear Set

MAGICKA

Race
High Elf, Dark Elf

Gear
Lokkestiiz + Twilight Remedy

Monster Set
Balorgh, Molag Kena, Slimecraw, Valkyn Skoria

Weapons
Lightning Staff + Restoration Staff

Rings and Necklace
USE HARMONY TRAITS on all jewlerry TO INCREASE SYNERGY EFFECTS BY 90%

Brief Details
The Necromancer can activate their own synergy via Avid Boneyard which is a D.O.T that offers a synergy, that deals additional damage when activated, that will also heal you for the damage done.

Necromancer Passives offer Increased Phys/Spell Penetration, Increased Health, D.O.T Reduction, Increased Healing Recieved, Increased Critical Rating, and Resource Recovery, Cost Reduction Abilities. Racial Passives strengthen these Necromancer Passives.

Necromancer abilities consist of Healing via Damage and Summoning from corpses - as well as disease damage for the Stamina Aspect

Lokkestiiz -
Increased Damage by 5% toward Dungeon/Trial Monsters at all times.

Allies who activate your synergies gain Major Slayer (15% damage increase) for 15 seconds. This includes yourself, as a Necromancer can use their own Synergy.

Twilight Remedy -
Allies who activate your synergy will heal for 21k over 10 seconds, and gain Minor Force, increasing their Critical Damage by 10%. This includes you, as a Necromancer can activate their own Synergy.

Magicka Recovery, Spell Damage, and 5% Damage Reduction from Dungeon/Trial Monsters at all times.

With these armour sets, we can increase our groups critical damage, and their spell/weapon damage. We also provide a very large healing synergy. We must also remind ourselves that Harmony Traits implemented to each ring and necklace boosts our Synergy strength by 90% altogether.

Your Monster Set is important. Balorghs will substantially increase damage and so will Molag Kena or even Slimecraw. But there are many ways to utilize these gear sets with a monster set of your choice.

Mundus Stone choices generally involved increasing your Weapon/Spell Damage, Critical Damage, Penetration or perhaps Increased Magicka.

Enchantments are generally only Increased Magicka. Traits would be Divines. This way, we have over 35k Magicka with potentially 3k Spell Damage or more - not including Synergies. Thus, activating these Synergies will greatly enhance your 3000 Spell Damage to something much more but also increasing your allies damage, and healing them massively.

Lastly, when we combine Reanimate abilities or Barrier and Warhorn Ultimates we massively support our group with big healing or big damage shields or greatly increased damage and instantly reviving a maximum of 3 people. Pummeling Goliath is excellent, too.

This also benefits synergy bonuses you may get from OTHER players synergies obviously - such as A Sorcerer using the Storm Atronach Ultimate.

I hope you check this out and tinker around with it's potential. There is much more that can be done and these few notes are just the bigger highlights. Mixing and matching different skill lines and ultimates can significantly increase this builds potential.

Housing Contests - Win a Notable Home! :)

$
0
0
Hello!

I shall be holding 2 housing contests over the next few weeks. The contests both have different entry dates, and I shall be touring and judging them myself the day after the deadline.

The first prize for each contest is a notable home, the second is a classic home, the third is a staple home. There will also be some custom furnishing packs designed by myself and other members of my guild as additional prizes, and all other entrants will receive something for their efforts. Nobody will walk away empty handed, even if your prize is something small.

The homes will be paid for and names given out to ZOS once the winners for contest 2 are announced, and will also be completely empty, with not one item in them, as they always are when bought directly through support.

You can enter either or both contests by either responding to this post, sending me a pm either on here or on Discord, or via email at ElaraNorthwind@gmail.com with your username, the contest you wish to enter (1, 2 or both) the home(s) you shall be entering and which server you are on (NA or EU). You will need to ensure that I have permission to enter your home the day after the deadline.

Rules

- You may enter both contests, but each may only be entered once.
- There are no limitations with regards to homes used or item limits.
- Please do not post any screenshots of your home in the forum post or in my discord server. I am going to really struggle with judging, because I love every home equally, so I would prefer to
enter each one with a fresh perspective and without expectations.
- Anybody can enter the contests on PC, either EU or NA. Sadly, I am unable to tour homes on console, and homes on PTS are not allowed, as everybody needs to work with the same tools for a
fair chance of winning!

Contest 1 - A Tiny House. Deadline: 15th November 2019

This one is a bit of a building challenge. The task is to design and build a tiny home! The home MUST use up to 10 Orcish Platforms (Block) to form the base and area of your home, and your entire build must be upon these platforms. They can be arranged in anyway that you like, and you are allowed to build vertically as much as you wish, so long as the other levels also do not exceed the size limitation. Anything outside of the platform area will not be counted towards your build or your score. You may send no more than one paragraph with your entry if you wish, which will be read during the tour.

You will be judged on how functional and livable your tiny home is, does it contain everything a home would need? How creative your build is, and how well you have utilized the small space!

Prizes

First Prize - A choice between Lake Xanmeer Manor OR Colossal Aldmeri Grotto

Second Prize - A choice between Frostvault Chasm OR Velothi Reverie

Third Prize - Any small, 200 item home.

Further prizes include custom furnishing packs designed by myself and some of my favourite decorators, blueprints, and lux vendor items.

Contest 2 - A Mystery to be Solved. Deadline: 22nd November 2019

This contest is to design a home with a mystery for us to solve when we visit! Did a murder happen here? Was there a burglary? Leave clues around your home, and see if we can figure it out! You may send a paragraph to be read during the tour to set the scene, but this must not contain any sort of clue as to the mystery.

You will be judged on the creativity of your build, story and the clues you leave. The mystery doesn’t have to be obvious, but shouldn’t be impossible to solve at the same time. You will also be judged on how aesthetically pleasing your build is, and how well you have used the space and items available!

Prizes

First Prize - A choice between Hunters Glade OR Tel Galen

Second Prize - A choice between Alinor Crest Townhouse OR Amaya Lake Lodge

Third Prize - Any small, 200 item home.

Further prizes include custom furnishing packs designed by myself and some of my favourite ESO decorators, blueprints and lux vendor items.

I wish everybody the best of luck! And remember, I will be judging this myself, so you don’t have to spend a small fortune to enter. To me, a small simple home can be just as wonderful as an elaborate, 700 item custom one. Creativity and use of items is the most important thing! The tour will either be streamed or put into a video, depending on how many entries there are.

Have an absolutely wonderful weekend, and I hope to see many of your beautiful homes when I tour the entries! And remember, everybody will win something, even if it is simply a bottle of wine and a glass ;)
