Character just for crafting, do I need skill points?

So I want a character dedicated to crafting only. And I want to do it all, carpentry, blacksmithing, etc. Do I still have to have skill points to level her crafting to max? Am I forced to adventure with her as well? Can I get by without SP? I respec'd her a while back , she's level 14, and put every point into crafting lines. She has zero abilities atm. zero armor, zero weapons. I think I messed up though, because I'm thinking I need sp too? I'm confused and think I've messed her up. Any help appreciated.

Mother's sorrow with what?

Hi I'm new to magsorcs and I'm too dumb to figure out what sets work with what.

I don't have trial gear and actually they aren't appealing to me so looking for easily obtainable sets to go with mother's sorrow. The grind for bsw is too brutal so that is out.

What should I pair it with? For monster I have illambris, grothdar, valkyn skoria, probably all the easier to obtain ones. Don't have zaan but I would have to pug to get it.

So julianos, spell strat, torug's pact?

Probably will try a no pet build, but would also like a high aoe build.

Edit to add I do have 2 VMA inferno staves.

Edit again i do have a bunch of bsw even jewels just no weapons.

How can it be be so bad?

Last night:

- disconnected 5 times, packet loss where the world stands still until the game dc's. Others in my group were having the same issue
- sporadic momentary screen pop-ups like when a keep flips
- skills not firing off because of the recent ani changes
- unable to use any skills at all for 10-20 secs
- All on top if the usual Lag!!!

And now we hear about radical LA / HA changes that will also do who knows what.

Please stop with these constant radical combat changes, please really fix performance, please really look at class balance. OMG

I notice as I read the forums and play the game, there's a lot of feedback and comments about making an optimal build. I particularly don't create characters to do the best tank, healer, or damage dealer, but to have a particular set of skills and see how I can make them work as best as I can. Now this might not be the best loadout to complete dungeons or fight pvp, but think the fun is being learning how to make it through these challenges with groups where everyone can do something different.

There are others out there that swear you must be playing game wrong, aren't playing your role, or are just in the way, while at the same time they may role with a group that has s cookie cut skill bar and abilities.

With as many skills in this game, do you feel like it's good enough that you could use any array of skills it be enjoyable or is there very few combinations of skills with some skills simply not seeing the light of day?

Normalize the Races - Let Us Pick Our Racials, Rename Them Adventurer Skills

Everyone has their aesthetic choices, but PvP (and to a lesser extent PvE) requires smart builds and with the way this game's design works out you're gimping yourself playing a magicka orc, for example, or a stamina argonian. The free racial seems to be the thematic racial while the rest push you towards certain builds for certain races. I like playing Argonian, but I'm gimped with a stamina build compared to Orc or Khajiit for example. Basically, I think that the three other racials should be freely chosen from among all race's racials of that "tier", so to explain Orc's "Brawny" and Breton's "Gift of Magnus" would share the same racial pool since that's the first racial tier. They would be renamed Adventurer Skills to fit with the change and improve clarity that you're picking these bonuses as a character. Resetting your skills would allow you to pick different Adventurer Skills.

This would not only allow players to choose races entirely aesthetically, a powerful tool for such a roleplay friendly game, but would make for a compelling new layer of depth in creating builds. Since every race can play every class and learn every skill line, and given the impact of the racial pass making racials that much more useful, a normalization pass so we can pick the racials we want would be a wonderful QOL feature.

Since old post was closed I'll make new one. Last night DC got all the way up to 3 bars, but still got 242 points (!! more than twice the other factions) in one hour due to low pop bonus. Anyone know if this is a new change? I never saw such a huge low pop bonus at 3 bars before.
Many nights lately in Primetime DC has been down to 2 bars, where did they all go? It isn't due to Fengrush leaving, since, I think, he ran earlier in the day.

I wanted so much a tiny home with good amount of item limit and I found this cute little tree house in the heart of Elden root. It has excellent location - close to wayshrine, traders and Undaunted daily quests NPCs. This is what I made with 200 items limit, i hope you guys like it!

Please add a new harder tier of dungeon difficulty. Vet dungeons have become far too easy.

Character stuck in Wailing prison

A friend of mine is stuck in the wailing prison. He was ported to a dungeon and upon completion, put back in the wailing prison but it is now glitched and he can't get out. He has tried everything and has submitted a ticket but has been waiting for over a week now with no response. Would you mind moving his character out please? His ticket number is 200419-008142

In reading these forums and playing a lot of ESO while on quaranteen I've noticed a shocking difference between PvP and PvE game play. It literally is like ESO is two different games when you try to PvE vs. PvP. The PvE aspect of things works nearly perfectly as far as I can tell. The PvP side of the game does not work at all for the most part. The lag in cyrodiil makes it unplayable even at off peak times, because, imagine this, in an MMO, sometimes there are more than 5 people in the same location. As soon as there is a group in the same location on the map at the same time, PvP ceases to function correctly.

How can there be such an insane dichotomy in terms of performance in PvE vs. PvP?

Why did Fortified Brass get such a huge nerf?

Before taking a break from the game for a year because of personal reasons I spent a lot of personal time and effort getting my hands on a full set of fortified brass crafting stations. Because it was one of my favourite tank sets and generally was unused by most folks; and I wanted to try to get people into using it because it filled a specific niche, covering what tanks need to cover.

I loved it.

Now I return to the game and its been completely dumpstered, the amount it grants is reduced, it doesn't grant anything BUT armor now. Its literally worthless.

Why was this done? For what purpose?

I was watching this video and felt the same way. Magicka Morph on Blast Bones seems pointless. It seems to make no difference. 3:44 in video.

IDEA: Optional ability/spell color variations

I had an idea the other day that I thought might be cool, so I figured I'd post it. But before I say anything, this is just an idea, nothing concrete and I'm not sure if this has been posted before.
I think it would be cool if we could unlock different colors for our class spells/abilities based on if you have a stamina or magicka morph. An example from another MMO would be in WoW where Warlocks can unlock the ability to have their fire spells become green fel-fire as opposed to regular fire.

(All of this would obviously be optional/toggle-able and would not work with every single ability)
For example:

Dragon knight:
-Magicka: fire abilities now appear as blue fire.
-Stamina: poison abilities could appear purple

Nightblade abilities:
-Magicka: black color
-Stamina: blue color

Templar:
-Magicka: while color on light-based abilities
-Stamina: maybe more orange colored on light-based abilities.

Necromancer:
-Magicka: purple rather than blue. (different color purple than DK stamina)

Warden:
-Magicka: white ice abilities

Sorcerer:
-Magicka:

I haven't thought out all of the colors for each morph just yet, but I just thought this idea might be interesting and I wanted to see community feedback on the ideas. I suppose these variations could be unlocked through achievements or even some sort of recipe/motif you could make. Or they could just be available from the get-go.

Some issues I could foresee from this:
-Difficulty distinguishing what ability your opponent/teammate is using due to the new colors (which is why I only suggested 1 new color for each class/specialization)
-Lore issues (maybe?)
