Light and heavy attacks are effed.

This used to be a rare occurrence, but now it's daily and I can't deal with it anymore. I don't know why it happens, but there are times where I simply can't heavy or light attack for a second after using a skill. This completely destroy my ability to do basic light attack weaving, or get resources back on a tank properly. On my stam sorc it also means I don't generate shards for bound armaments, which is acting jank also. There were times where I couldn't get past 3 shards. When I finally got the forth it would recast the skill. I used more resources than what it was worth.
There is something very, very wrong with light/heavy attack cancelling.

Kyne's Aegis Trial Sets Review/Feedback - NOT THE SETS WE WANT

Hey all. Just wanted to share my feedback over the new trial sets that are currently on the PTS for the Greymoor chapter. Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with the direction that ZOS has tried to take these sets. A couple seem better for PvP than for PvE trial content. Considering trial gear only comes once a year, it would be nice to see some useful sets similar to what we got with Cloudrest and Sunspire. Here's a video covering and I'll also summarize below:

Roaring Opportunist

Looks Like a Support Set, not a DPS Set
  • Like Alkosh, this set will be mostly used by support because it provides a group-wide buff. Unlike Alkosh, this 5pc gives the user zero extra damage that isn't given to everyone else.
  • Even with the changes to the heavy attack scaling, still will be used by support, paired with Jorvuld's, and built to try and get a little more heavy attack damage.
Stop Trying to Force Heavy Attacks on DPS
  • There's nothing wrong with Heavy Attacks as a proc condition for support sets, we did it forever with Infallible Aether. But don't force it into DPS rotations.
  • There's nothing wrong with sets that promote heavy attack usage that are purely damage based.
  • The issue lies in sets like this specific one, that are trying to be DPS sets, but contain essential support buffs. Don't put heavy attack conditions on sets like this.
If Left as a DPS Set, Change the Condition and Scaling
  • Changing the proc condition to a bash or heavy attack would make this a lot more enticing for a variety of builds to use
  • Then, instead of scaling off heavy attack damage, change the scaling to something similar to engulfing flames, where it reads your spell power and max magicka
  • If ZOS refuses to change to anything other than a heavy attack, the 96k threshold for max uptime is too high and needs to be lowered
  • Having a bonus scale off the damage done also creates unpredictable uptime due to crit RNG, further showing why an engulfing like scaling is better
Final Suggestion: Change it to a Support Set
  • Change the set bonuses to something more versatile for all roles, and just call it a support set
Final Thoughts on this Set: It's clear ZOS intended on the Heavy/Light attack changes to go through that were proposed on the off-cycle PTS testing. ZOS really wants to encourage heavy attack playstyles for DPS. I think it's fine to have sets in the game that are good for heavy attack builds, but please don't put it on an essential group buff set like this and put magicka DPS stats on it. It just comes off as though you are trying to force a specific play style on people.

Yandir's Might

Again, Forcing Heavy Attacks
  • Change the condition to a bash or a heavy, and a wider variety of playstyles can utilize this set.
Stats Aren't Great for Trials
  • Too much recovery and not enough average damage
  • Actually worse damage than hundings when paired with another minor slayer set (since minor slayer doesn't stack)
Possible Solution: Swap Recovery and Damage
  • Put the Weapon Damage as the 5 stacks you build up initially
  • Once you are low on resources, you can heavy attack for resource return and get a burst of stamina recovery to go along with it
  • This would make more sense with the current trial meta (again looks like it was designed around light/heavy changes that didn't go through)
Final Thoughts on this Set: REALLY COOL SET. I actually really like the design of it, but just not as a pve trials set. It fits more with pvp playstyle and there are some pvp players already theorycrafting setups that use this. It should either be moved to a craftable/overland/RotW set, and the minor slayer bonus dropped, or the way it functions tweaked, if left as a trial set.

Kyne's Wind

DPS in Trials Only Need 1 Resource, Not Both
  • This set's power budget includes that it gives out both resources, which is again great for pvp, but not so much for pve
  • A set like "Symphony of Blades," which only gives the resource you need, has better resource return for your highest resource.
  • Double the bonus, but change it to only restore your highest resource, and this is in a much better place for pve
Final Thoughts on this Set: With the changes above it could be a really solid set. One thing that has to be kept in mind with this set is that, similarly to Sentinel of Rkugamz, once the set procs and starts the resource return, the circle doesn't move. So if you happen to be on the move right as it is proc'd, you get ZERO return from it. Or if you have to move out to avoid a red AoE, you'll only get the ticks you were inside for. This means you can't just look at the numbers on paper and assume a perfect uptime throughout. You have to account for many of the procs not being received. Unlike a set like symphony, which procs on you and stays with you, this is stationary.

Vrol's Command

Player Cap is Too Low
  • This needs to be bumped up to 11 additional allies, instead of 5 additional allies
  • With the long cooldown of 36s, this should really cover the whole group, or it isn't very useful
Bonus Isn't That Appealing
  • If changed to reach the whole group, this could be usable in certain progressions to help a bit, but the overall bonus isn't that great.
  • Just casting a barrier is going to be better than Major Aegis in 90% of situations
  • With the 10s duration, and 36s cooldown, something like a 25% reduction would seem much more fitting for a Major buff
Final Thoughts on this Set: At the end of the day, you have to drop a set that increases your group's DPS, or a set like Ebon that gives a 100% uptime survivability buff, in order to run this. It needs to be worth it to do so. At the bare minimum this should reach all 12 members or it simply won't be used. I would prefer a complete rework to something more interesting.

A new Furniture Crafters Table- it only allows furniture crafting on it but it has 100% or the craftable furniture items on it sorted by category. I hate trying to find that one plan to craft out of the 1844 total I can make, and searching all the tables to find it. LoL. (Not really hate, but this would simplify being a crafter for housing. I'd own two one kept for traveling to build new homes, one at my primary home for visitors- crown store it, I'd buy it)

This screenshot shows how the change to remove group queuing / premades hasn't actually fixed the problem, it's a match making issue, always has been, always will be, they need to fix their coding and not remove our ability to play with people....

People, what i want is to be able to play with my friends, we're different factions so WE CANNOT PLAY TOGETHER IN CYRODIIL, we are also not 810 CP so we get wrecked in there anyways, if you say go play in non-CP content there is virtually no one around most of the time...

So yeah, we bought this game when it included the feature of us being able to queue together for battlegrounds, we expect that sort of feature in an MMORPG, there was no reason to remove it, they could have addressed the premade problem in a different way, perhaps having a better MMR/match making system???

So I figured since we're all going to be hunting down leads for the antiquities system, it makes sense to have a handy-dandy central location to see where the various leads can be found and what they're for. So with that said, if you find a lead, can you please post:

- What the item is, and its lead colour (green/blue/purple/gold/orange)
- Where and how you found it


In addition, if WHERE you found it is different from what's listed here, please post that info anyway; it will help us determine if a lead is (for instance) only found on one particular WB vs. any WB in the zone. As well, if a lead is for a PIECE of something - like the wolf mount, or one of the mythic items - please state what item it's for as well.

Not quite sure what triggers this bug, for tonight it happened after I jumped off my Mount at a resource and attempted to cast my buffs, but the following happened. No skills would complete their animations nor light attacks, and heavy attacks turned into this,

The bug is fixed with using /reloadui, but now all I can think about is Varian Parryian from Carbot.

Is Mad Tinkerer the only set left that knocks people into the air? 😣

I was recently farming the Shadow of the Red Mountain set, and was really sad to see that it was changed to no longer knock enemies into the air.

This was a hilarious mechanic that is sorely missing in the game because I don't need to do high damage all the time.

Sometimes I just need a good laugh, ya know?



Why are treasure maps still not stackable?

Surveys cause harvest nodes to spawn when you're in range of the location, and they ARE stackable. Treasure maps cause a diggable mound to spawn when you're in range of the location, but they AREN'T stackable.

So why aren't they, given that they effectively utilize the same game functions as surveys?

3D printed my ESO main character

Hey! I come with more 3D prints.


I digitally sculpted my ESO main character, took lots of work, but I finally finished him for 3D printing. I do plan to make him game ready, and do a render for cinematics, so that's why I took so long. But I also made him ready to 3D print, and printed him in resin. I also painted him to match the ESO collectors edition statues, the size is about 21 cm aswell, fitting the CE statues too.

Normalize the Races - Let Us Pick Our Racials, Rename Them Adventurer Skills

Everyone has their aesthetic choices, but PvP (and to a lesser extent PvE) requires smart builds and with the way this game's design works out you're gimping yourself playing a magicka orc, for example, or a stamina argonian. The free racial seems to be the thematic racial while the rest push you towards certain builds for certain races. I like playing Argonian, but I'm gimped with a stamina build compared to Orc or Khajiit for example. Basically, I think that the three other racials should be freely chosen from among all race's racials of that "tier", so to explain Orc's "Brawny" and Breton's "Gift of Magnus" would share the same racial pool since that's the first racial tier. They would be renamed Adventurer Skills to fit with the change and improve clarity that you're picking these bonuses as a character. Resetting your skills would allow you to pick different Adventurer Skills.

This would not only allow players to choose races entirely aesthetically, a powerful tool for such a roleplay friendly game, but would make for a compelling new layer of depth in creating builds. Since every race can play every class and learn every skill line, and given the impact of the racial pass making racials that much more useful, a normalization pass so we can pick the racials we want would be a wonderful QOL feature.

My friends and I have held off on pre-ordering Greymoor (and playing the game at all for that matter), because of the removal. Anyone know if they will have that information soon? I don't want to miss out on the preorder deal but at the same time we won't be playing Greymoor at all if it doesn't come back.

Settings Options for under 18.. Let the kids play!

What if you could click "I am under 18" and you would not be able to see or type in zone chat.
The game could simply edit out the more gnarly gore or whatever makes it over 18 when your character comes in contact with it. They would just not be able to participate in certain quest. In fact I think it would be super cool if those quest were replaced with more "saturday morning cartoon" like quest storylines if you will. You could add a lot more players and families could play together during the quarantine.

I researched and play tested so many games trying to find the best game for family and friends to join in together online. Elder scrolls is from my research the most well put together game with diverse options by a long shot. So I think it would be great if we could have a 10+ setting. Honestly would be great if adults could choose it because I could care less about the gore and all the things that make it over 18 myself. I would much prefer more creative high fantasy quest and I often mute zone chat anyway... But seriously what do you think?
