ANTIQUITIES LEADS + LEAD LOCATIONS UBER-THREAD

$
0
0
So I figured since we're all going to be hunting down leads for the antiquities system, it makes sense to have a handy-dandy central location to see where the various leads can be found and what they're for. So with that said, if you find a lead, can you please post:

- What the item is, and its lead colour (green/blue/purple/gold/orange)
- Where and how you found it

In addition, if WHERE you found it is different from what's listed here, please post that info anyway; it will help us determine if a lead is (for instance) only found on one particular WB vs. any WB in the zone. As well, if a lead is for a PIECE of something - like the wolf mount, or one of the mythic items - please state what item it's for as well.

SUPEREDIT: Many thanks to @Inklings for their work in compiling this much-easier-to-read spreadsheet!

Looking for end-game content players. We do trials mainly. We do pledges on Vet as well if you need them. We need a few more tanks and DPS. Min req for DPS is 60K at min. If interested contact j3zdaz. We don’t do skyshards or lore books or world boss stuff unless you need the skill points or the completion. We also don’t do trading. Strictly end game content.

Greymoor writing is disappointing and probably the least interesting to date (spoilers)

Yeah, I know, story is secondary in an MMO to most people, but I think here it's actually very well done. I mean whole game up to this point. I might not have been as excited about certain dlc story lines, but overall they all range from good to great.
Well, not this time. I was actually holding off, since I have a couple of side quests to finish, but man it's hard to bring myself to do it after witnessing all that happened in Greymoor dlc.

King Svagrim. That revelation that you can see coming the moment you enter Blue Palace the first time was handled very poorly. "Haha, I'm evil and a vampire. Let me stand there and talk like your average anime villain." And yeah, that way too obvious and frankly, not too interesting.
Another issue - Swag King is your typical cartoon villain. No complexity, depth or different sides. Not to mention that his story involvement is too short and doesn't really allow him to open up.
Also, when he smashed that elixir bottle, that was a great opportunity to turn things into different direction, to add some drama. But what happens instead? "Yeah, don't worry, we have some more of that juice.". And then Svana does that pro-gamer move, drinks it and survives the harrowstorm. How cliche. Not only the way it happens, but there are no drawbacks, no side effects and potion works perfectly.
Fenn also survives the abduction just fine, no lingering effects or anything. Wow, much unexpected, so interesting.
Also, Blackreach is that super secret place, but every dog and their mother knows how to get there and goes there to the vacation like it's Hawaii or something.

Overall story impression: all according to keikaku*
*keikaku means plan.

All these memes and suggestions aside, Greymoor is a big surprise from the writing team and not a good one. I guess I got too used to the fact that you usually deliver.

Scrying and digging when reaching max level- Bug or feature?

Hello!

With the different kind of items (green, blue, purple etc) you had also higher difficulty on scrying and digging (makes sense).

But when reaching the maximum level on scrying and digging, all items have the same difficulty now.

That's how the scyring field looked on green items:

lf26npdx0xa2.jpg

Small field and big facettes to connect.

That's how it look when reaching the maximum level:

b89bd399rei7.jpg

A way bigger field and less options to connect things (what will end up not being able to connect all points).

The same counts for digging. Haven't made screenshots for that. But on green items you had just 2 layers of earth. With maximum level you have 6 or 7 layers and also with this mini-volcanos.

Is it intended like that? Because it takes any fun to grind now and also a waste of time to spend 10 minutes for a simple green item.

The Best Worst Patch I Have Ever Played

The title of this thread, which I pulled from a video on YouTube, summarizes the state of affairs pretty well. It is indeed a great patch, only overshadowed by the baffling server issues in PvP, which in turn are only overshadowed by ZOS' lackluster response.

I can't tell you how grateful I am for Greymoor!

The work you have done is colossal. You guys did it! I felt that atmosphere of Skyrim I remember, but in new improved and much better format.

Quests are breathtakingly crafted, presented us with a carefully considered story, tailor-made, one-to-one.

What can I say, when I reached Morthal I forgot about storms, forgot about Liris Titanborn. It was as if I had assembled a whole book page by page, which eventually came together in a single story. I can hardly restrain myself now and not to spoil even small detail. And this is just a small town! Every stone in Greymoor seems to have a rich past.

I think many are familiar with the feeling when, after reading a good book, you want to erase your memory in order to read it again. I never would have thought that I can feel it while questing in MMORPG.

You were great in Morrowind, awesome in Summerset. But now you have improved your level. Yes, there are many things that upset us in TESO. I wish you the same experience in every aspect of your game. Bravo!

-from Russia with love.

I know it's very late to discuss a quest from the earliest of ESO days but I'm planning to play through every major storyline. And for the most part they are very compelling. There are however some moments that leave me befuddled. Not because the particularly quest is bad but the way it's resolved is a bit eyebrow raising.
Choosing to keep or destroy the relic will create a rift between your companions. I would argue that the sound choice, both morally and tactical is to get rid of it. Which surprised me when I was confronted with the fact the almost every woman wanted to keep the soul noming artefact. It makes female companions seem cruel or irresponsible. Granted on the other side there is the orc woman advocating for the destruction of the relic, but ironically her reasons are selfish. She cares more about her orc people not losing their footing with the bretons and redguard and less about the destructive nature of the relic. She mentions the unfair raizing of Orsinium while standing on a conquered island. There is also my opinion that Malacath cares very little about an orc state because it would take away from the obedience directed at him and his code.
Two of the other women can logically be placed in the "keep the relic" camp. Captain Kaleen believes in her redguard king and wants the war to be won by their side. Her protege, Nicolene, is loyal to her captain and more importantly mentions brothers in the Covenant army that the artefact might keep safe. But the thing that severely bugged me, mostly because personal attachment, was Crafty Lerisa's presence in this group. Her sharp wit, that cracked me up on more than one occasion, as well as her devotion to her crew makes her and odd choice for defending keeping a doomsday device.
As for the opposite team, things are weird there as well. Might be the cat person in me talking, but aside Kasan the rest of those people are unpleasant or inconsistent. Master Kasan said from the get go that a sailor should renounce political allegiances in favour to loyalty to his or her crew. He also clearly disagreed on sentencing your enemies to such a cruel soul consuming fate. Neramo happens to be on this team probably because altmer don't like any other race to have powerful toys. And as for the womanising kleptomaniac Jakarn, I find him taking a moral stand on anything cute.
If it were up to me I would have split the teams as such. Team keep relic: Captain Kaleen, Nicolene and Jakarn. Team destroy: Lerisa, Kasan while Lambur and Neramo being here for self serving reasons.
If you made it to the end of my wall of text, I commend you!

It's time for autoloot

OK I'm a warden with a bear and sick and tired of doing the unhappy dance when trying to loot around the freaking thing. Yea blah blah blah I could play a different class or get rid of the bear but hey its a Warden!

It's time for auto loot when you kill something you auto loot it instead of needing to click on the corpes, many other games have this option as a perk on skill trees etc. I can't BEAR it anymore!

Music Box, in Dreams and Memories

This antiquity has three pieces, I have been looking for the golden part, the preserved music box mechanism. I already have the other two parts.

According to information on the internet, its lead can be found in safeboxes in Glenumbra and Greenshade, and I choose Greenshade for my hunt. However, after looting about 30 safeboxes, which took quite some time, still nothing found. So, I was wondering if someone could confirm if the lead do drop in safeboxes in Greenshade.

I could also look for it in Glenumbra, but a lot of people are already farming there.
Thanks.

Vamplar Healer -- Help me save my build!

$

Welp, healing as a vampire just got pretty silly with the resource cost increase and the loss of magicka regen. My main is a Vamplar Healer who went from S-tier pre-Greymoor to low C-tier with the Vampire changes. I'm sad. I love the Mist Form changes and I guess the Eviscerate spammable is neat, but again, I'm a healer, so resource management is the biggest loss here.

I mainly run dungeons/trials and do PvP, so some of the neat skills like the AOE stun and even eviscerate don't help me at all.

Any suggestions besides "roll a new toon"?
