Master Gatherer not working

$

So I have spent a lot of points filling up the tree to Master Gatherer, activated it, and then went out farming.

Having the skill fully activated makes no difference to not having it at all. I tested it on three characters and asked two friends to do the same and we all had the same results. First, we thought it's just the animation that is messed up but even when timing the action there is NO difference between having the Master Gatherer or not.

I mean you made it a lot more expensive and difficult to obtain - at least make it work?

Aetherial Ambrosia become Mythic Aetherial Ambrosia, skyreach become pure gold ?!

100% exp was sold at 12-15k gold, now 80-90k gold
150% exp was sold at 75-100k gold, now 180-250k gold
Skyreach carrier was sold at 8-10k per run, now 40-60k gold per run
Inflation everywhere ?! I cant believe new update make everyone rage like this, super high demand in exp

Normal / Veteran system is out of whack

Most normal content is too dramatically easier than the vet. And in some cases, the vet content is way too easy. I think the whole system needs an overhaul to his:

Every instance has THREE versions

1) Easy
2) Medium
3) Hard

For all the base-game dungeons and trials

1) current normal = easy
2) current vet = medium
3) a new harder version = hard

For all the dlc dungeons, trials, arenas...

1) current normal = easy
3) curent vet = hard
2) something new halfway between easy and hard settings = medium

are we going to need 1599 points to unlock treasure hunter? (answer: no)

Too many Craft stars are (pointlessly) equippable

$

Many of the stars in the Craft tree need to be equipped, but are of such specific use that there doesn't seem to be any point to them being designed as equippable.

Here's one example: Professional Upkeep, when maxed, reduces the cost of repairing armor by 50%. You only need this star equipped when you are repairing. You could - and many people probably will - swap another star for Professional Upkeep, repair, and swap it back out. There will probably even be a mod on PC that just does this for you.

This goes for many of the stars in Craft. Treasure Hunter, whenever you open a chest. Meticulous Disassembly, when crafting. Infamous, when fencing. Angler's Instincts, when fishing. And so on.

My feedback is that all these different choices aren't *interesting*, they're *fiddly*. It's not fun, it's a hassle. Especially when you realize you forgot, right after you repair or open a treasure chest or whatever. Most characters are going to be doing many of these activities, and besides there are compelling choices that you probably do *not* want to be constantly swapping in and out, like Rationer and Steed's Blessing and Master Gatherer, so there's a lot of competition for those four precious equip slots, leading to the behavior I'm describing here.

Especially for the stars that are so super-specific, like Professional Upkeep, these ought to be just passives, not equippables.

Anyone else like really hate this patch?

I am so bitter yet again they forgot about healers in changes! Would it of hurt to look at sets and skills that relay on critical healing... like come on power surge is useless and I know few sets are going to hurt just the same now... hollowfang, combat physican

Weapon Enchant Decay?

Looking in the new CP, on the green tree - what is Weapon Enchant decay, mentioned in the Steadfast Enchantment node? I was looking around for an explanation, and had no luck.

Blatant racism is being reported to ZOS with little to no repercussions.

On PS4 NA there is a BG player that has now multiple times that I know of whispered players calling them the (hard R) N word. They've been reported three times now that I know of. About a week ago they were reported by two different users for this on consecutive days. Then again tonight they whispered a player during a bg, called them an N word and they were reported again.

It's absolutely unacceptable for someone to get away with this behavior or to suffer a minor punishment and continue to harass players with racial epithets. Zos must not enable such blatant racism through their platform. One of the players this person whispered is a minor. Something has to happen and clearly reporting players in game is failing to do anything.

I didn't want to bring this to the forums but ZOS' inaction is leaving me no choice. As a person of color myself, I am at my wit's end.

So what weight does stamina wear this patch?

I've been running 5M 2H on my stamina casual pve char, but I don't like the penalties anymore. For this patch, I was thinking of 7 medium, which seems suitable for stamina DPS and even tanking easy dungeons. What do you guys think?

Why dont u see ZOS?....

@ZOS_GinaBruno

Guys why dont u see that people dont like this changes? Just look at forums? 90% of all threads are about disappointment. Really just take a look. ZOS your main problem is NERFING your own game(doesnt matter what is the reason PvP or PvE). People want to see some progress from patch to patch, from chapter to chapter... but alas... u are constantly nerfing everything. Maybe you stop this? What u think? This game is wonderful but...
Hope Microsoft will change your nerfing policy soon

There's enough waaaaaaaa on the forums today to refill the Pacific Ocean.

I really think ESO got too easy over the past 3-4 years. I think they should amplify the difficulties rather than nerf the characters, but WHATEVER. Stop crying, literally get gud.

It's time to address HOT stacking in pvp

$

Specific HOT skills should not be allowed to stack on themselves. The CP changes and limiting of sets has done a lot of good for combat in pvp. This is one of the few things left that need to be addressed.

Rapid Regen/Radiant Regen among other skills should not be able to stack multiple times. Only one instance of a certain skill should be allowed per player...the highest heal should take precedent. The ball groups that have found out how to build in the new CP system have effectively become unkillable due to HOT stacking and high Health Regen. While this may be what Cyrodiil was designed to handle, it currently cannot. Encouraging large numbers of people to occupy the same area is directly attributable to the degradation of performance. Left unaddressed this will continue to get worse.

I think that is what triggered it prior to update, I could be wrong but I don't see any stuns now at all from bow shots. Anyone know what the deal is with this?

Some counter arguments to popular outcry against no proc Cyrodil

(1) blah blah blah diversity

Answer 1: Current meta with no restrictions create only an illusion of diversity, while completely invalidating the fairly well-designed and interesting combat mechanics underlying ESO pvp.

The truth is, there are only a handful of sets worth running and 90% of them are proc damage / proc healing sets. The proc damage/healing sets offer no meaningful differences in mechanics or interactivity.

Some examples:
  • would you rather hold left click to do insane damage for free (heavy attack sets) or tap left click to do the same (Syvarra's)?
  • Or would you rather proc an insane dot by casting splitting trap (oblivion's foe) or by casting crit rush (unleashed terror)?
  • Do you want your left click to proc crows (Unfathomable Terror) or do you want your left click to proc swords (Morkuldins)?
  • Do you want a green beam to heal you for free (Chokethorne), a red beam (Engine Guardian), or red particles (Earthgore)?
  • Do you want to see random meteors fall from the sky for 4k (Skoria), or would you rather see a random bear crush somebody for 6k (Selenes)?

The differences in proc conditions are minute and all of them result in breaking the balance of global cooldown management. In such an environment, the combat is not readable beyond "I better watch out for random damage that can come in any form at any time with almost no relation to positioning, timing, or resource management".

Answer 2: What diversity that IS created by the current meta is actually detrimental to the overall enjoyment of the game by its playerbase.

I concede that some of these ridiculous sets can be combined to create some unique builds. The problem is most (probably all) of these "unique" builds basically make the game more boring and frustrating to play. Prime example of this would be 80k thew's block tanks. The entire playstyle consists of putting yourself in a bad position and holding right click until you get low, pressing "R" to pop Goliath, and then dying after your ulti runs out. Or consider the 40k HP werewolf with insane defense/hp regen stacking that simply becomes a DPS / movespeed check.

(2) you're just bad and that's why you can't handle procs

We crushed with procs and we still crush without procs, the only difference is that without procs the combat is more readable, there are more options in any situation, and the skill ceiling is higher. Same victories, just more enjoyable.

No excuses now when you lose either, it's either lag or you made a mistake. (Reality check: it's not always lag)

(3) no one does damage in no proc Cyro

maybe don't stack 38k HP with 4k hp regen on your stam necro and then complain about how you don't do damage

(4) sorcs are OP broken and unbeatable

if @Kitashngmr is 1vXing overload sorcs on the regular in a 25k HP medium armor stam dk without wings, this is probably just a learn to play issue

(5) what about class imbalances

Answer 1: They exist with or without procs. In the proc environment, you saw a lot less sorcs and stam nbs because the procs favored stand and fight classes. In the no proc environment, you see a lot less mag DKs because they need some help.

Answer 2: If we're going to have class imbalances anyway, I'd rather have class imbalance in an environment where the combat mechanics actually make sense and the player's skills matter more

Answer 3: In a no proc environment, we can see class imbalances more clearly, which makes it easier to identify potential fixes

(6) class action law suit? "promissory estoppel?"

Please stop, YOUR specific intent in buying the DLC just to use a couple items for a relatively small part of the entire product doesn't invalidate the fact that every time you bought said product (the base game and any DLC), you signed (accepted) a written contract that contains a commonly understood and expected clause explaining that the developers are free to make balance changes that impact your use of the purchase.

(7) But I didn't read the contract

But you could have, and you also declared that you did read it by signing it / accepting it.

(8) But I don't like it

Sorry to hear that.

(9) but in a perfect world I could sue ZOS over this and win

BAD ENDING: You win the class action lawsuit and set a legal precedent that cripples future developers from making any big changes to their games, no matter how necessary it may be to balance the game and make it more enjoyable. You spend your class-action lawsuit earnings of $2.50 on microtransactions for your next game while flaming its developers for not having the balls to make risky changes to their game. Everyone loses.

---

My 2 cents on the extended no proc Cyrodil:

Is it ideal? No.

In a perfect world, we could have 2 separate campaigns, or ZOS could immediately code in a way to selectively ban certain sets in Cyrodil without breaking the rest of the spaghetti code, AND be able to pick the right sets to ensure quality balancing, or we can even have both at the same time.

This is not that world, and I'm willing to accept that. I think no proc Cyrodil is plenty interesting. There's enough variety if you're willing to accept that maybe you aren't the absolute master of the game as you think you are. If you can find 2-4 people to play with, you'll find there are plenty of things you can do in terms of team play and composition. And we will eventually end up with the "ideal" scenario as ZOS has already stated they will work toward proc AND no proc servers, and also expanding the allowed stat sets.

A lot of the complaints about how no proc Cyro plays is a learn to play issue. Why do I believe this? Because all week long we snack on the same OP sorcs that according to the forums cannot be beat while half paying attention to the game. Because I watch good players in apparently "trash" classes 1v2 overload sorcs in open world.

Just the other day, somebody linked a video of a 38k HP stam necro complaining that no proc cyro is boring and you can't kill anyone. At roughly the same time we were farming 100k+ AP worth of kills inside an enemy keep, outnumbered in a 4 man group with no healer with "bad" off-meta classes.

If you're having trouble getting kills because you stacked 38k HP on a stamcro with 3k hp regen, this is the epitome of a learn 2 play problem. Maybe it turns out that malacath and vat 2h was carrying your damage and you need to make some adjustment to your build and risk dying in a 1v1 in order to get damage.

To those of you who dislike what ZOS is doing and have simply decided to say "I don't like this, I want to use my sets, I don't mind procs, and I'm unsubbing", I respect that.

Best of luck on your next game and your life in general. I'll keep playing and I believe there will be plenty of people playing once this patch hits.

Rapid Manuver (and morphs)....no longer gives horse speed...mentioned nowhere

Alchemist Surveys... where are the mushrooms?

$

I thought the forums would be full of threads about the new patch, but why not throw in something completely different, something which I think is a good and non-controversial idea:

Why are "alchemical survey" maps ONLY for green / flowering plants like thistles, cornflowers, lady smock and bugloss?

Why not mushroom patches with 6 lots of mushrooms?

Or aquatic alchemy with a mix of nirnroot, water hyacinth and potable water?

Rewards of the worthy sets are trash

They are PvP sets that are rewarded to PvPers. But now we cant use them in PvP. It cant get more ironic. Dont get me wrong they were always bad but now they are officially bad. Developers should realise this and improve this situation.

I think those 19 enabled sets should drop, maybe except DLC dungeon sets for ZoS reasons. Personaly I am ok with alliance potion drops too.

What do you think?

Trust me or not it's irrelevant.

But yeah performance were MUCH better tonight on Grey Host EU. I don't know if it was the lower population overall, the spread of the players, the new CP, the gear, ALL OF THE ABOVE combined ...

But whatever it's ZOS should be monitoring this very closely, we may have a lead ...

Magicka Nightblade - we want our rights

Hello my magblade friends. we are in agony in long time. But we need to unite. we need to show our strength to developers.

They need to learn we are not slaves, we wont accept our fate or their forces to play another class. We are paying their salary. We are paying money of little hamsters food who tries hard to power the server.

I have few ideas for make magblade better. I think you will agree with me.We want justice. Not an advantage to other classes.

*First of all we want to get our major sorcery and major brutality from siphoning strikes and morphs . Not from useless sap essence and morphs.

*Make new visual for mark target like weakness to elements

*Add offensive penetration to grim focus and morphs and all buffs stays for 3-5 seconds after abilty used. and make it faster for landing.

*Add Minor Prophecy to Hemorrhage passive

*Make dark cloaks heals scale to magicka or %x per second

*%35 heal for 4 seconds + minor mending for 4 seconds to swallow soul

*İnsta-dot for cripple

*and 0 cast time to soul harvest . Its not aoe its not cc so why it still have cast time?

I know we are unhappy about our tier in pvp. Magblade class is lowest tier in PVP for long time. Because we are not showing our hand to them.

you can add your ideas and discuss so they can realize again there is a lot of magblade players.

And my last call. Lets cancel our subs if they still ignores us. So they can continue to play with their favorite classes.
