Furniture Plans and you. How to farm them?

Hi guys, I want to share my experience so far on how to farm furniture plans for each DLC we have in ESO:

Important notes:
  • Farm casually. Don't force yourself to farm over 5-15min. This casual way of farming gives you more than just forcing yourself to do it for hours
  • Once the purple drops move to the next alt or continue playing something else while you wait to try again
  • Greens and Blues can drop many times after another. I have seen that in all the zones. So don't stop if one of these drop.
  • Unowned Urns, Cabinets, Chests and specially Backpacks are your best friends. (Why?. Because they don't contain stolen treasures that takes your chance to get furniture plan).
  • All of these areas drop Food and Drink recipies.
  • I only mention DLC that drops furniture that is actually worth selling or owning.

Murkmire
Place: Lilmoth
Area: Marshland Market (Crafting Area ), The bank and the Figher Guilds (2 containers).
Loot: Murmire and Racial furniture plans.
Extra Loot: Treasures (Stolen), Furniture of Murkmire (Mostly carpets), Materials.
What to do: For some reason, Murkmire have a double drop in furniture, i normally get 1 furniture plan in Green + another Blue or Purple. What you need to do here is farm the containers in the crafting area, the bank and Fighter guid (you can skip the last two) and then enter the Outlaw Refuge to reset the containers. The drop rate is really low, so if you see a green, is probably you won't see another, so better reset the containers by going to the Outlaw Refuge nearby.

Summerset
Place: Shimmerine
Area: Monastery of Serene Harmony
Loot: Alinor and Racial Furniture Plans
Extra Loot: Food, Drinks, Racial and Alchemy Materials.
What to do: Just farm the entrance containers + the ones in the rooms upstaris. Leave an alt here to farm casually once in a while. The drop chance is low, but for some reason, the drop rate is higher than Direnni Acropolis (Why?. Because the urns drop Decorative Wax + Ash and other materials that takes your chance of getting furniture plans instead). Stop only if you get a purple (But is actually rare to get one here), if you get a blue, keep looking. If you want to farm tons of Decorative Wax, go to the Direnni Acropolis. If you want to "force" your farming here, just exit the Monastery and enter again, the containers are going to be reset and ready to be farmed again.

Western Skyrim
Place: Nchuthnkarst (Public Dungeon in Blackreach)
Area: The circuit next to the boss "Clockwork Criterion"
Loot: Solitude, Vampire, Dwemer Furniture Plans.
Extra Loot: Treasure Chests, Dwemer Style Pages and Materials (Dwemer scraps, Racial materials and Alchemy water). Paintings (from Treasure Chests)
What to do: Just do 1/3 of the circuit (Upper level, Ground level and Under the stairs). Check the urns until you get a purple and then log off, if you get no luck finding one, move to the next character or the next part of this circuit. (its up to you, but dont try to force yourself farming the entire zone, the urns start getting emptier as you farm them so future urns are going to spawn empty). By logging off, you reset the urns and create a chance to get a purple (If you are lucky, you may get a purple right away). If not, move to the next alt. Keep at least 2 or 3 alts on this zone. There is no easy way to reset the urns until you logoff.

Clockwork City
Place: The Brass Fortress
Area: Clockwork Basilica (Inside "Proctor Luciana's Retreat" and "Provost Varuni's Office")
Loot: Clockwork and Racial Furniture Plans
Extra Loot: Materials (Racial Mats and Alchemy water).
What to do: Just farm these two areas containers. You can try owned containers in the city, but they have lower chance to drop furniture (Why?, Because they have a chance to drop Owned Treasures instead, and these lower your chances of getting a furniture plan). Leave an alt here so you can give it a try once in a while.

These are so far other places that i have farmed too, but the strategy to farm them is more "difficult" since they have low drop rate and terrible loot that is not even worth it:
  • Razak's Wheel (In Bangkorai): The only good thing about this Public Dungeon is the dwemer plans, but it has super low drop rate and I think, is better to just go to Nchuthnkarst and try there for a chance of 3 expensive furniture plans that may drop + the paintings from chests.
  • Dreloth Ancestral Tomb (in Vvardenfel): I have been farming these urns only to find out is actually better to farm them for Decorative Wax than furniture plans. The drop rate is so low, that for 1 entire month of farming them, i haven't seen any Houses Furniture to drop (Blue or Purple), just Green ones. I think this place is not worth it.
  • Rimmen Palace (Northern Elsweyr): The palace contains tons of containers that are unowned. It may be a good place to farm Elsweyr Furniture Plans, but the problem is the super low drop rate of them. I kept my Khajiit here for over the entire Elsweyr Dragon Chapter and i rarely got a purple from these containers. This maybe a good place to farm green ones and rarely some blues, but purple plans are too rare that i find it kinda pointless.

Make sure you read the description, it has changed to require a Fighter's Guild ability to be slotted in order to get Ultimate per kill.

I just played in the no-proc Cyrodiil and found it really great.
I can't judge the server performance yet, but the game play is definitely much more interesting. Some of us already found that some "unkillable" enemies can be killed now. B)
What's your opinion (considering game play)?

Why the only Nord race got nerfed so hard? My acc 9 characters - 5 nords. Thank you so much for buff orcs and hElves! That's insane and disgusting.

It's time to address HOT stacking in pvp

Specific HOT skills should not be allowed to stack on themselves. The CP changes and limiting of sets has done a lot of good for combat in pvp. This is one of the few things left that need to be addressed.

Rapid Regen/Radiant Regen among other skills should not be able to stack multiple times. Only one instance of a certain skill should be allowed per player...the highest heal should take precedent. The ball groups that have found out how to build in the new CP system have effectively become unkillable due to HOT stacking and high Health Regen. While this may be what Cyrodiil was designed to handle, it currently cannot. Encouraging large numbers of people to occupy the same area is directly attributable to the degradation of performance. Left unaddressed this will continue to get worse.

Trust me or not it's irrelevant.

But yeah performance were MUCH better tonight on Grey Host EU. I don't know if it was the lower population overall, the spread of the players, the new CP, the gear, ALL OF THE ABOVE combined ...

But whatever it's ZOS should be monitoring this very closely, we may have a lead ...

Last seen online bugged

So this patch messed up "last seen online" in guild roster. People that haven't logged in for a week are suddenly seen "moments ago".

How should I control minimum activity in my guild now?

Soooo how long you think it's going to take to grind to 3600?

I know levels cost less experience now but damn....this is going to be one hell of a grind.

i was trying to sort out making space to invite to guild so needed to kick some offline. but now over half the guild show no data and says they were online 1 minute ago and no data shown. so i cannot see who has been offline in guild to kick . the only ones with any data are those who seem to have been online today since update. i tried all addons off and still was the same so not sure if just me or others having same issues

Green Tree and Addons

So now that we've established that anyone who values their time and effort on PC will be using an addon to automatically swap their green CP passives, can we admit that the idea of having a limited number of slots for quality of life passives was a horrible failure? This was preempted by the addition of a 15 sec cooldown for swapping passives so clearly ZOS is aware of what is going on. Do they actually not care that virtually no one wants to play this mind-numbing micromanagement game with their CP?

It's honestly such a bummer I even have to spend so much time on the day of a new patch circumventing these tedious new systems rather than playing the new dungeons.

Guild leader kicked me from trade guild

How do I report a guild leader that kicked me from guild and I harassing me in game chat. Have screenshots that I need to add. He is a leader of the main trading guild in NA ps4 server and died to me in imperial city after constantly trying to kill our group. He then kicked me and called me a cheating and would not refund my gold for being in guild

Emperor leaderboard is empty and also the alliance leaderboards under (Quest Journal (J)) except for the overall leaderboard.

so was the stuck in combat bug CP 1.0 related?

im droping out of combat like instantly now, be mid fight, move away, dots run their duration and then BAM out of combat and can mount up.

its been weird and amazing to just instantly be out of combat when you walk away.

The removal of Ironclad made me realize how strong Direct Damage mitigation was

You will be missed.

We only have mitigation against:
- Martial Attacks - 4% (Hardy)
- Magical Attacks - 4% (Elemental Aegis)
- Non-player Attacks - 8% (Preparation)
- Single Target Attacks - 10% (Duelist's Rebuff)
- Damage over Time Attacks - 10% (Enduring Resolve)
- Area of Effect Attacks - 10% (Unassailable)

These are just so weak compared to CP 1.0's mitigation. Yes we have innate 10% damage reduction to everything, but it's really not enough. The damage increase is noticeable.

CP 1.0's mitigation:
- Direct Damage Attacks - 0-25% (Ironclad)
- Damage over Time Attacks - 0-25% (Thick Skinned)
- Physical, Poison, Disease Attacks - 0-15% (Hardy)
- Magic, Flame, Frost, Shock Attacks - 0-15% (Elemental Defender)

Because there was only 4, it covered multiple different attacks. Example: Olm's in Asylum during jumping -> The slam whenever he lands is AoE, Direct Damage, and Physical Damage. So you would be able to mitigate damage by having invested in BOTH Ironclad and Hardy.

Currently you are only able to mitigate Olms' jumps by putting points into Unassailable, Hardy, and Preparation. Which is already a lot of points AND 1 of them you have to slot.

CP CAP IS WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY TOO HIGH

WAY TO HIGH. the cap is supposed to be easier to reach, not harder. it requires way more cp to get to 1800 now, than the old 810.

I just wanted to say that i'm so happy about MDK's becoming the best class for pvp. MDK's are so over powered that they don't even need an execute or purify or any movement mechanics or literally any class defining ability like being able to reflect projectiles or something (how lame would that be amiright?). Looking forward to banking all my farmed sets and hoping on my MDK to totally kick butt in cyrodil!

Wrathful strike , deadly aim CP

Wrathful strike does increase dmg from light/heavy attack not only abilities.
Deadly aim doesnt work with Daedric Mines ( it only affect 1 enemy at the same time but doesnt count )

Best Lore friendly race for a Paladin and a Nord simple warrior?

I want to play the Templar class, but I want it to be a generic paladin who wears heavy armor but at same time has magic.
1) What race should I go for?
2) What makes more sense lorewise?

I also want to play as a Nord warrior.
