So When Is the Heavy Attack Bug Getting Fixed?

It's been a problem impacting me since before One tamriel with destruction staves. It's well documented and has been reported many times. This bug completely ruins the flow of combat and results in either player or party death, if you're a healer

Most seem to be happening with lightning staff i can confirm I'm still getting the issue on pc with a flame staff, playing with a gamepad.

Please zos, can this get a fix?

Why did you put one of the Pale Order ring pieces in to a public dungeon that has like 14 trash mobs, then make it drop from trash mobs? It's 8am here and there's already 10 people in there camping the trash spawns.

This is ridiculous.

Companion Customization is Lacking, Making this Chapter a Pass for Me

What I most desired with the Companion System was 1) to equip companions with any of the hundreds of fun/unique gear sets that already exist in the game, and 2) the ability to FULLY customize my Companion's appearance. Instead, the Companion system forces us to equip our followers with bland gear, and we don't even have the OPTION to let our companion wear a helmet or hood.

These decisions are a major blow to the two areas I appreciate most in ESO -- build variety and customizable appearance. I assume it's too late for this feedback to matter (maybe the helmet/hood thing could still be changed), but seeing how lackluster our companion gearing options are has almost entirely deflated my interest in this system and the chapter. Does anyone else feel this way?

Endeavors offered

Obvious questions about endeavors start:
  • What are we asked to do?
  • What are the rewards for doing those things?
  • Are the Endeavors always the same, or do they change?
  • If they change, do they do so on fixed rotation?
  • If they change, are they the same for everybody the same day?
  • Are the caps per-character or per account?

Data points start:

On my first PTS log-in, I'm seeing the same list of offered Endeavors on two characters.

The list of dailies is:
  • Complete 2 Quests
  • Craft 5 items with Blacksmithing
  • Kill 10 Humanoid foes
  • Excavate 2 Purple- or Gold-quality antiquities
  • Complete 2 Public Dungeon group events

The cap is to do 3 of those 5.
The rewards are identical for each: 3 seals + 1000 gold.
One of my characters is not an antiquarian.

The list of weeklies is:
  • Kill 30 World Bosses
  • Complete 7 Dungeons
  • Complete 7 Public Dungeon group events

The cap on those is 1 of 3.
The reward is 20 seals.

Mount Roulette

Can we get an option for a mount roulette?

That is, when we call our mount, the mount that spawns is a random one from our available collection. But make it a toggle, so that way people who only want to use a specific mount on a specific character can still do that. Final Fantasy XIV has this option and its a wonderful way to make use of the all the awesome mounts we've collected.

FFXIV also had a way to make a pool of select "favourited" mounts to appear, which would also be a nice option but maybe that might be making things too complicated :P

Community Cobble Showcase #6: Architectural Features!

Hey ESO Housing Community! It's that time again... *drumroll please*

Community Cobble Showcase #6!

The theme of this showcase is "Architectural Features." This is a rather large, amorphous category, so here are some guidelines (though as with the other threads, I leave it up to your ultimate interpretation RE whether you want to include it under this particular theme or not):

Things that are architectural features:
  • staircases
  • railings
  • doors
  • windows
  • flooring and tile patterns
  • wall paneling, wainscoting, and trim
  • bridges

Things that are probably not (unless you want them to be! Seriously, I do not police this. I just like sparkles!):
  • full structures
  • appliances/fixtures/furniture
  • wall hangings
  • cabinets and shelves (unless structurally integral)
  • planters
  • water features and pools
  • vehicles
  • machines

I'll be hitting other themes in future showcase threads, but if you have any suggestions that you would like to see sooner rather than later, please feel free to PM me.

As always, I want to send a BIG thank you to everyone who has shared their cobbles in any of the community cobble threads. As I said in the first showcase post, ESO's housing community is amazing, creative, and so incredibly supportive of each other, and I hope that these threads will serve as a centralized, easily searchable method of showcasing and iterating on various cobbled designs. I also want to give a big shout-out and thanks to @StabbityDoom who takes the best notes in all of Tamriel and has really enabled the sharing of cobbles created by builders who are not typically active on the forums. <3

I can't wait to see what you guys have created!




Original Post, House-Keeping Stuffs:
(1) If you want to post a picture of someone else's cobbled design, please credit the builder in your post.
(2) No cobble is too "simple" or too "obvious" to be included. Sometimes the most brilliant, unique, and creative ideas come in the simplest package!
(3) Please continue to be the kind, creative, and supportive community you already are!

Step-by-step instructions regarding an easy way to post pictures (note there are tons of other methods if you prefer another way of doing it)
(1) Take a screenshot in game.
(2) Make a copy of the screenshot. If you used your computers basic "print screen" function to take the screenshot, you have already copied the screenshot and can proceed to step 3. If you used an in-game command to take the screenshot, use your file explorer to navigate to the following location to open and copy the picture: This PC -> Documents -> Elder Scrolls Online -> Live -> Screenshots.
(3) Post the screenshot into any Discord Channel by using the command "control+v" in the channel's message box. I typically use a personal Discord channel, which is free to create, but if you would prefer a housing-friendly discord to post into, feel free to send me a PM and I will shoot you an invite to my housing guild's discord channel (its open to anyone).
(4) In Discord, click on the picture you just posted; an expanded view of the image will open.
(5) Click "Open Original", which appears underneath and to the left of the expanded image you opened in step 4. This will open the image in your default internet browser.
(6) Select the entire URL of the webpage that opened in step 5. Copy the URL.
(7) In the ESO forum thread, "leave a reply" box, click the drop down arrow to the right of the tool that looks like a mountain and a sun in a portrait frame, labelled "attach image". Click on the "image URL" text box that opens, and paste the URL you copied in step 6.

[Harassment] Returning Player

I don't play ESO as much as I used to years ago and after moving on to FF14 I've considered quitting the game for good. So during this Double EXP Event, I decided to try run a dungeon since it gives 200k+ EXP. Right off the bat, I was teamed with CP 1000+'s. Since I gave up on the game, I did not bother with the bad 1-shot mechanics and allowed these people to speed run.

Unfortunately for them, I was the healer that loaded in a few seconds later. They managed to speed run through a few bosses until Bad Girl (CP 1906) died after being surrounded by mobs. Note, this was a normal dungeon. Right after Bad Girl died, their friend; Avven blamed me for not healing although it was a sarcastic "wow so glad we have a healer" statement. According to Markarth who was fortunately not from their group told me that I was being kicked, Markarth was kind enough to decline. Bad Girl was furious I did not get kicked, they (Bad Girl and Avven) went out of the dungeon after saying the usual toxic stuff like "I enjoy watching s*it players". Since nobody was able to kick anyone, it became a 2 man dungeon with just me and Markarth enjoying the our run rather than speed running it. The other two sat in Deshaan, simply waiting for their free EXP. After the dungeon ended, Markarth thanked me for not being like those two clowns. We added each other, reported and went on our way.

My experience with the ESO community has never been a good one. Markarth was just one of the few patient players whom I've encountered. This is ironic because I usually get excuses on the forums like "Look for a guild" or "High level players will help you". This is just proof that high level players have no patience and would rather speed run a normal dungeon till they literally drop. Greymoor was my last DLC I'll ever buy for this game and this is just my opinion for how dull the content is hence I don't take it seriously like most end game players in ESO would. I can't wait for FF14's Endwalker DLC because that's where my money will go to.

Are monster sets worth using anymore?

I know in trial stuff the meta has long been two separate crit pieces. But for everyday use, I've found monster helms reasonably effective and above all fun. And it lends itself to some cool builds eg elfbane + grothdar on my mag dk, selenes on my beary warden, maW on my pet sorc.

Looking at update 30 though, it now looks like they've now raised the spell / wpn damage requirement even further - "Sets that use Weapon and Spell Damage now require 6574 of either in order to reach their original values, up from 5478."

I can't conceive of getting anywhere near 5500 yet alone 6500 spell damage on my mag toons. The mag dk's probably trogging along at 3500 when BSW pops. No clue where my other mag toons are at, but I'd guess similar or lower - they're generally running stuff like MS, medusa. Stam toons maybe better off but that's still alot of wpm dmg.

Are monster helms now dead? - I'm assuming the reduction is vaguely linear? - ie if your spell dmg is 1/2 the new requirement, is the damage 1/2?

Given proc sets almost certainly are - they're fun in rnds but never scaled well in vet content anyway - are we all supposed to just stack crit now and forget anything else?

Please add Brightness Intensity for Lighting

There are a few lights that I really love but can't place where I want them because they are either too dim, or more often too bright. I would love to see an intensity option added to the "on" and "off" toggle that already exists. The options could then be "low", "medium", "high", "off" .

Please consider this.

Mailbox full but empty.

Basically following the "phantom mail bug" where we clearly stated that we couldn't receive mails the only issue you guys fixed is our unread mails.

As you can see I am sending myself a mail from another account and it still shows as full while my mailbox is clearly empty.

I decided to open a new thread as I guess the other one wasn't clear enough on what the issue truly is. We don't care about our unread mails if we can't receive new mails.
Here's a video so you guys can have a quick look at how frustrating this is, I recorded it literally 5 minutes ago post pretended patch.

Please keep in mind that for us returning players this have been ongoing since the release of U29 almost 2 months ago.
We need this sorted zos and not in 2 weeks when you guys decide to drop another patch this bug is gamebreaking and I can guarantee you that the average of your returning players don't even complain about it they are just leaving the second they notice their mail system isn't working.
Also please don't reply with something like "turn off your addons" I reinstalled the game 4 times.

Is Templar a viable Tank in Blackwood??

I've been going over the decision to make my main a healer for group content, he's normally a tank but the real endgame content like Vet HM trials just seemed out of reach for my build - based on what you've seen, do you think that Templars have more viable Tank options now?

I would like to see a few things added.

Alts added even if all they do is walk around and don't say anything. Wouldn't it be nice to see your alts walking around your home when you are not on them?

I would like to have a banker that says more than the two lines he says and speaking of he says, how about a female banker?

Companions should when they are added be an NPC that can walk around the home.

How about instead of crafted chests that can't be used, why not make or SELL something in the craft store to make YOUR vampiric crafted chest be able to hold like 5 items?

Speaking of crafting and such how about NODES you can put in your home that spawn craft materials every X amount of time.

You could sell those on the crown store and anyone could harvest them depending on your settings.


Lastly you should give more reasons like a rating system or something to get more people visiting your home , again deepening on your settings. The amount of time, farming and trips to the craft table or crown store should be rewarded with a system where people could not verbally flex their skill, design or just inspire others to enjoy an aspect of ESO that I love.

Disclaimer I love pvp and trials but my guilty pleasure is decorating ( don't tell my pvp-pve guildmates that )

top it off with a couple of kitty's running around and I have the perfect ESO home.

Heavy attacks in Cyrodiil

Last night I tried to use heavy attacks with my lightning staff during a PVP battle, I was able to do light attacks but not heavy. So I switched over to my restoration staff and was able to heavy attack. Then I switched back to the lightning staff and still was unable to do heavy attacks but I could do light attacks.

Dps nerf next update

I understand In the soon coming update overall dps for all will be nerfed. No more capable of hitting 100K+ dps. Maybe around 80Kdps max? Maybe because ZOS is not happy with people getting the "Godslayer" & more & more will get it. Maybe "Godslayer" is not suppose to be attainable but as a motivation for high end players to try to get it but would be impossible therefore they will continue playing, especially the elite players. The title "Godslayer" meaning is "God" cannot be slayed therefore it will be impossible to get it?
