Remove Oblivion Damage from the Game - Add in Minor/Major Concentration/Disruption

The General Idea


Oblivion Damage has far too many applications aside from just breaking through shields. From dealing increased damage to lower health glass cannon targets of both magicka and stamina build, to completely ignoring all resistances of any kind of build and going through blocking targets. Not only that, but by being able to completely bypass a players shield you ignore any kind of build that they may put around it. It's mainly touted as being the counter to shielding builds, however I feel that while that is indeed something that it can do, overall it is more harmful to the state of the game. Especially if the Bug between it and the Infused Enchantment ever gets fixed (Currently the ICD is not being reduced by 40%).

I Propose to remove it from the game, and instead replace it with a buff that counters shields by increasing the damage dealt to them. Of course adding in a mirrored buff that allows the player to strengthen their own shields. Some sets would change because of this, and I would also suggest that some skills are tweaked as to not cause too much of an imbalance.

Concentration:
Increases the strength of your Applied Damage Shields by [x]%

Disruption:
Increases the damage dealt to Damage Shields by [x]%

Impacted Sets

Shield Breaker:
5 piece bonus would change to granting the player Major Disruption at all times.

Knight Slayer:
5 piece bonus would let the player ignore 20% of a target's Spell Resistance.

Impacted Skills


While this is debatable, I think that the Sorcerers Hardened Ward should now no longer grant a 33% increase to the players Ward, but should instead grant Minor Concentration while Slotted.

Potential Issues


Minor/Major Protection currently applies to wards, potentially leading to niche builds that become very hard to kill.

so i had an idea for a build that i would use ma bow on one bar and a lightning stave on the other making the maelstrom enchanted endless hail hit for 8% harder. didnt seem to take effect thats when i started trying other skills that were ground aoes. i used eruption with my lvl 1 fire staff no enchant ticks for 130 when i bar swap to my lightning stave lvl 1 no enchant 139. 8% of 130 is 10.4 which means for it to hit for the correct amount the tool tip says it would hit for 140.4 rounded down would be 140.also tested some other abilitys. lightning wall of elements ticks for 170 on lightning bar and 150. also tried fire rune lightning 804 fire 748 x .08 = 59.84 + 748 = 807.84.

To anyone who has bought the Earthtear Cavern... it's changed :(

ZOS I've spent months working on a guild hall, and you have now placed HUGE rocks closing up sections of the Cavern where I had built areas. Now all my items are placed deep inside new rock walls. It was an AMAZING design... but its completely ruined. Why do this?

Please revert these changes. Now I have soo many items trapped behind walls and if I retrieve the wrong items the whole base is ruined and I have to start from scratch.

Theres a lot of lore within the TES Franchise and a lot of it overlaps. And with 3 factions and an ever increasing amount of DLC storyline. Theres a lot of lore wrapped up in ESO. Everything from the Faction storylines to the lore books we come across.

So do you think the forums could use a proper place for us forumites to discuss and debate over the lore not just here in ESO but through out the franchise?

Tamriel Trading is a trading guild based on the PS4 North American [NA] server. We now have well over 500 members and we are still constantly growing. We have had to set up a sister guild which is part of the same guild but called 'Tamriel Trading ST'. This is to accommodate for more than the 500 member limit. For now we are concentrating on gaining new members so we can get this new store unlocked and full of items so please add other members who also enjoy trading. We have a focus on trading, buying and selling but all aspects of the game are involved. Everyone is welcome regardless of alliance so feel free to join and bring your other trading friends. The more members we get, the more full and active the store becomes. Once numbers are large enough the guild store should generate enough income to win traders. We also have a crafting system in place.

Anyone else thinks Almalexia needs a makeover? I think she actually looked better in morrowind. And she looked like a chimer , compared to what she does now in eso. In eso she just looks like a normal dark elf with some horrible lighting effects , especially compared to vivec

Title says it all . I didn't notice until some guy I was dueling with mentioned it . It is an AOE and WAS undodgeable . I didn't see anything in the patch notes about it . This is a gamechanger for stamina users in PvP . I didn't see any threads about it in forums so wanted to throw this here . Clearly not intended and needs a fix .

74% dps on an overland boss

So yesterday i was in Reaper's March and in zone chat a guy asked for help with an overland boss. Me and another guy showed up, we grouped up and went for it. After we've killed it, we continued on and went for all other bosses in the zone.
I've Combat Metrics installed to check my dps and after we've killed Queen of Three Mercies, the log showed that I've done 74% of damage to the boss and trash mobs. I know that one of the guys was cp74, magsorc and the other guy i don't remember his cp but he was fighting with 2h, so no tank. Now i am cp428, stamsorc with 5 hundings, 5 spriggans, i don't even have my monster set yet and i am not so good on my rotation and dps. On the training skeleton, my dps is at 20k at the moment.
So my question is: is Combat Metrics accurate enough? and if it is why i had 74% dps, is it because the 2 other guys were lower level or is it something else?

your actual level. My new character created since Morrowind seems to have his racial skills lagging behind his actual level. His racial skill is 10 while he is level 13. Perhaps this is because of the revealing of the skills at level 5 now? Is this intended or a misaligned xp curve due to the hidden racial passives?

Dungeon Finder Bugged....Still Months Later....$$ Comes before customers...

So dungeon finder is still broken on xbox and other systems. It's been especially bad since Homestead launched. The dungeon tool is now plagued with removing from area as soon as you enter, not getting random dungeon bonuses, and other issues. Now when you get a group, you enter dungeon, get removed from area, and someone always seems to leave group after that. The tool wont allow you requeue to replace the player that left, and then groups tend to disband. Then theres a 15 minute queue timer to try again. It passes, then you re-queue, as a dps theres usually a 30-45 minute wait, you get a group and then boom. Same situation and you just wasted an hour. If you are lucky enough to get a group that stays together, you port back to dungeon, complete it just to find you didnt get the random dungeon bonus...time to try again for another hour or 2.

This has been a repeating process for me since Homestead launched in February on Xbox. That's a whopping four months ago and longer on other issues. The system had a few bugs before but now its unbearable. Not enjoyable to play at all. It makes much the the PVE group content unplayable.

What really pisses me off is the fact that this has been reported time and time again in general discussion, bug reports, and in support tickets. Each time you get a generic lame response like "working as intended." Is it really?!? And after months of reporting and complaints from the community we've yet to see any authentic response from mods or developers.

But a miracle happened yesterday. The group finder for battlegrounds isnt properly working. It was reported yesterday at launch and....ITS A MIRACLE! A RESPONSE FROM MODS! Not one but 3!

Hey all, just to give you an update, we are aware and still investigating ongoing queue issues on PC. @ZOS_BrianWheeler even ran into it last night (yes, we do play our game) so we know it's happening, we just need to figure out the source and get it resolved.

So only after one of the mods/dev's runs into the issue themselves does it truly become investigated after numerous complaints from the paying customers?!? And also since you stated so boldly that you do play your game with such pride, have you somehow missed the fact that dungeon finder has been broken for months now? But let's not address that cause its not affiliated with Morrowind and its $60 price tag so its not a priority at this time. This is utterly ridiculous, not to mention horrible customer service.

Why is ESO More Laggy than Other Games?

What is the difference between ESO and other online games, which makes ESO lag more? I'm on Xbox, and while in rare instances I might experience lag in other games, it's not nearly as crippling nor frequent than it is in ESO:

- Halo 5
- Halo Master Chief Collection
- Destiny
- Fifa
- NBA 2K
- Madden
- Titanfall 1 and 2

And I'm not just talking about lag that occurs when there are 100+ people within a 500 meter radius of one another during a tri-zerg attack in Cyrodiil. I can understand lag happening there because no other game I play presumably puts that many people into such a tight space, but how is it so bad, at times, in the following situations?

- VMA lag, freezing, and crashing (single player instance)
- Overland questing (single player or small group instance with potentially other randoms)
- Dungeons (four-player instance)

Does anyone actually know what ESO does differently than other games that causes more lag? I'm not knowledgeable about servers, maintenance, or whatever it is that causes and/or prevents lag from happening on ZOS' side of things.

I have been doing Cyrodiil for quite a while now and while I always knew I wasn't real good at it, the final proof is hate tells. I have gotten exactly 2 hate tells and both times they were actually meant for someone else.

Jumping - The worst Mechanic in the Game

Because everything about the big bugs and problems get ignored, lets try adressing a small Problem that extremly annoying. =D

Why are Characters jumping like theyre tripping in the air on an invisible wire? And why do you have 0 Control over them when youre in the Air? It's very annoying that everything in the jump is determined by the Moment youre leaving the ground. I mean, if you think about it, there is a lot in the game you can or have to jump over, and its VERY hard to get the jump right from the beginning, mostly you will get stuck in the object, and if you have a REALLY bad day, you get the Bug where you slide reeeaaaaly slowly to the ground, which can take up to 20 Minutes.

I dont have hopes that a Dev will read this, but ill ask you all if youre as annoyed by this as i am, or have another opinion maybe.

Would you like to be able to choose different poses for holding your weapons? It would work the same way personalities work but just for weapons.
Myself, i would love to be able to hold my Inferno Staff the way i hold my Resto Staff. Or, maybe be able to hold a staff with both hands?

Unstable Clannfear vs Volitile Familiar

This is the question I must ask, which is more beneficial? How much damage does each actually do, and how much more health does the Clannfear have over the familiar?

I currently run with the Clannfear, and I enjoy using him, but I figure that the Familiar may be a better option for solo play. He is supposed to deal 20% AoE damage of my max Magika upon death, which at this point is around 300 damage at level 36, and it stuns for 2 seconds. Definitely enough time to summon another. It also helps me notice when my summon actually dies.

So, does the actual damage between the two identical? Also, what is the health difference really between the two?
