EP, what happened to you?

I've always been an EP player and i never wanted to be anything else, but lately i've been so fed up with this faction that i'm not sure if i can continue playing on your side.

The amount of support i get from you is almost 0. Granted, i'm a solo player, so you might not see me as a team mate that needs support, but if i stand at a breach and hold 20 enemies in place and keep them distracted, is it too much ask for to get some siege support, some AOEs, ultimates, or at least a heal from you?

I can't even begin to express how frustrating it is to watch you guys throw resto light attacks into the zergs, while i'm struggling to stay alive with 20 people beating on me. Or how insulting it is to have 20 EP run over my dead body with no one rezzing me, while i rez every single person i see, then afterwards healing you and making sure you don't get ganked again.

Why do i even care anymore?

So, does AD or DC need my skills? I'm open for your offers.

I've logged on and tried this skill after seeing its changes in the patch notes. In short, you're changing a costly good skill into a costly useless skill.

But let me explain myself. This skill previously was quite good in what it did, sure it had some clunkiness in the way it was cast but that was a minor issue, same thing happens with other skills like healing ward or necrotic orbs.

The new version of this skill now has the same cast time as dark flare, meaning you stand still for over 1 second before the first tick of damage comes, this essentially makes it highly undesirable.

I suggest removing the cast time. Remove the empower buff from the skill. Increase the duration to 8 seconds. This would make it an amazing skill and competitive with dark flare.

Make minor adjustments to its damage and cost. Templars are in a tough spot right now. Dealing with this skill the right way may help a lot.

I am not going to write a bunch of paragraphs and dive super deep into why they don't perform great in both PVE and PVP, most of us are aware of the main issues... I mean buffing the duration of rending, blade cloak, and lacerate is lacking and/or disappointing to say the least. I honestly do not know what the mark is that they were aiming for, regardless, we are all human and make mistakes once and a while. There are only really 3 main aspects of play that I generalize these weapons into ; single target, aoe, and pvp. I honestly cannot create any rotation/build/playstyle that incorporates these new upcoming weapons while boosting performance. I, along with many others, have been anxiously waiting for these weapons to hit the PTS to see what ZOS had in store for us. The bad news is that the weapons are rather disappointing in their current state. The good news is that ZOS has no problem changing things on the PTS, especially this early! A few things do help drastically in this effort for change. Ideas, giving ZOS things to consider and build on. Most importantly, community support, things will not change without the community speaking up about what they would like to see.

Personally, I can think of a couple solid suggestions.

Give them a significant boost to aoe damage (75% more damage on steel tornado) making them clearly BIS for aoe situations.

or

Keep the same mechanic they currently have, but perhaps include all dots instead of just rending/cloak/lacerate? I really do not see a great way to make single target parsing with steel tornado weaving viable. Although that does seem like it is the route ZOS would like to take, so if all dots can be affected that could be the boost they need?


I have made this thread in hopes to induce some change to these weapons. Please voice your opinion on what you would like to see these weapons do for live release.

Okay, I’m probably going to be a bit overdramatic for a minute; just bear with me.

I was counting on this, on CROWN CRATES of ALL things unholy, to complete the look for my latest character, aka, the last character keeping me interested in the game right now. Yet the ONE time I’m looking forward to these stupid things, I get shafted against all logic and reason? Granted, I always knew it not being there was a possibility, but I just figured it made sense. Why would you exclude a popular, Halloween-themed costume from the Halloween-themed Con Crates? You guys just don’t use your heads. At least now I don’t have to waste my money on this crap. But it’s not even like there was a bunch of other costumes to choose from; you hardly put any in there. And it’s the weekend, so none of you will see this. NOT THAT YOU EVER REPLY ANYWAY.

To be clear, I’m not at all implying this is something even remotely worth quitting the game over(and this is NOT a quitting thread), but I just don’t want to do anything with this character yet and I’m kind of bored with the others right now. What am I supposed to do, now that I’ve been unintentionally slapped in the face six ways to Tuesday by ZOS? It took me two months to find one of the last Volar’s Crescent Staves in existence for this character(a few of you here might’ve seen me in the chat of each zone every day); I was worried I may never find it. I was relieved when I did yesterday and was sure this costume would be available next week. So just try to imagine my immense disappointment with finding out otherwise and being unable to complete the look regardless :( .

Okay, drama’s over. Tl;dr: Dark Shaman should’ve been in these crown crates and I’m extremely disappointed that they’re not. Please feel free to express your similar, probably less-dramatic disappointment with con crates.

Hi. There is no forum in my own language and I'm not fluent in English... just wanna put a few comments. I have bought this game like a month ago. Currently I'm level 35 and recently have achieved 50 enchantment. Also I have blacksmithing around 42, so I'll be around 50 perhaps in a week more, or two.

My fist issue is armor levels. I remember myself playing skyrim and using dwemer stuff to level up blacksmith and being able to wear daedric armor relatively soon. In here I can make almost any armor in the game but I can not wear almost none of it. So, level up A LOT more is the only way to use decent armor? It seems that I have to play this game for another 6 months and after like 100+ quest solved then I will be able to put the armor I want ... this kinda sucks for me, sorry for the expression.

My second issue is with enchanting. The quality of the glyph is defined by the aspect rune. But I don't get why the differences are so SMALL, I mean, for example, creating Kura (improvement 9) + Oko + ta (white rune) = +734 health. And Kura (improvement 9) + Oko + Kuta (GOLD RUNE!) = +954 maximun health (monumental glyph of health). Also Repora (IMPROVEMENT 10!) + Oko + Kuta (GOLD RUNE!) = +954 maximun health (truly superb glyph of health). So the difference is around +200 only??? I have like 500 Ta's available and one gold rune... I'm missing something here?

Anyway please don't get me wrong, this is a fantastic game and I love playing it :). It's just these crafting doubts that keeps myself questioning about if crafting is it worth it or not in the end.

I can't be the only one who frankly thinks that this way of combat balancing is poor.

This isn't even about specific notes classes/weapons/specs at all, I can live with that, its just the principle. In one thread I saw someone ask for similar, for the advice to be taken into account, what was said? Oh, well, test some more. As if we are clueless about how changes will affect the game that we play more than most devs do.

With PvE its fine, You can't get zerged down in PvE, mobs aren't running the latest meta builds, but it is seemingly all that ZOS cares about, and I am aware, they go for what makes them money but they are missing a fundamental issue, that if they make PvP good, then more players will come. PvP is meant to be a different battle every time, if people get board they can go play PvP for some unique comabt, but unfortunately, as many many people have mentioned, they are just met with lag and imbalance. What is done to fix that? Updates every 3 months, which cause issues in turn.

ZOS is part of a billion dollar+ company, yet it feels like it has 2 people working on combat and PvP. Look at facepunch, the company behind rust. That game has less players, and the company is much smaller, but there we get weekly updates, constant developer communication and more. They may not roll out brand new content every week, but they do implement new fixes. ZOS should really take a leaf out of that book and have experimental combat changes with. And you can bet your bottom dollar that everyone in BOTH PvE and PvP would rather a week of imbalance than 3 months of it.

We test things, give our feedback, pay for content and the like, and we are met with balance attempts that fix nothing and that no one asked for. Fengrush mentioned it in his latest rantview of the patch notes, YET AGAIN nothing for cyro. Its very nearly the same as it was 2 yr ago, just with some other class at the top of the wheel. Just take Templar for example, scaling bugs, and useless abilities leaving them at the bottom of the pile. The fix? Remove a stun and change useless abilities to slightly different still useless abilities that NO ONE ASKED FOR. Like I said above, this 3 month system only works for PvE, and not even fully there, warden is still underdog there by far. But not at all for PvP. Even fortnightly updates with small skill balances or changes would help, remember hulking draugr's 40 stam change. Doubt it took 3 month to think of that.

With the price of silk being so high and the survey/gold mat/master writ chances being so slim lately it doesn't seem worth it to continue to do them.

I do crafting dailies on three toons and get at least 1 temper per day which pays for several stacks of rubedite, same with wood which is dirt cheap anyway.

To complete clothier writs on three toons the cost is around 10k. Unless you get a guaranteed 2 gold mats you actually lose money.

So does anyone else skip these?

Hey there!

PTS seems to have some issues with provisioning, and it also looks like there's some crucial recipes missing. Guild stores are empty and unless it's a character copy, there's no way to get our hands on certain food/drink buffs.

If anyone is kind enough to mail me a couple of copies of the following, it would be much appreciated:

Witchmother's Potent Brew (max hp/mag + mag recovery)

Dubious Camoran Throne (max hp/stam + stam recovery)

Candied Jester Coins (max stam + mag recovery)

Orzorga's Smoked Bear Hunch (max hp + mag/stam/hp recovery)

Why Is Soul Assault Looked Down Upon More Than Shield Ult?

There are some strange perceptions in PVP and the one that comes to mind is the terrible reputation Soul Assault has.

I attepted to put it to the test and use it, and genuinely received 3+ direct messages everyday slating the skill. However, the same people believe spamming the shield ultimate is "skill".

Theyre both overpowered, cheap ultimates but why does one get way more abuse than the other? Especially considering that you cant even do any other attacks while soul assuaulting, its easily blocked and avoidable and any object in the way breaks the beam. But again, the shield ult gives the user the ability to heal themselves and do damage while its up.
I even see NBs with a one hand and shield now for the ult. Overall, I believe both skills are too cheap and maybe too powerful too.

So what are your opinions that SA is considered bad to use but the shield ult is more than fine to spam whenever possible?

What other PVP perceptions do you find strange or not agree with?

Is this game casual friendly?

I've been playing TESO for around 1 year, but I also play several other MMOs, GW2, SWL, FFXIV. I tend to cycle between these, because they all have their ups and downs, But I've heard that TESO endgame is not too casual friendly, that it's hard to get equipment and other stuff to be remotely cometitive for endgame content. is this true? I'd love to hear your opinion guys :)

As it appears that ZOS will still take a long time before they can raise the furnishing cap, I felt like showing off my main house already at its 600 cap. Together with most of the furnishings from some of my storage houses which I'd love to be able to add to it.

Apologies ahead of time for having a lot of screenshots. I prefer displaying it like this instead of a video, I tried not to take too many but the house is of course very big.

As most people know by now, it's pretty much impossible to decorate both the exterior and interior of large houses with just 600 or 700 slots without some places looking empty, let alone leave room for more creativity. I didn't want to close off any part of my house and tried to decorate most of it regardless.

I've bought everything shown here with gold and was able to cap it during the ESO plus bonus event.

It's good that I had little money. More precisely, I had 400 Crowns left on my game account, after I purchased the DLC. I decided to buy something for a good mood.
  I bought the item "Dwarven crate" for 400 Crowns.
I open it, some kind of kajit appears on the screen, and starts to lay out some cards for me. Reminiscent of a slot machine, one-shot bandit. You throw money, it's spinning... Oops! Failure. Give me more money.
And it happened. Well, I decided that it was so necessary, I took cards , there was garbage.

10 bottles of Potions.

I did not need the bottles of healing potions, I gave them to the Khajiit, he gave me two purple stones for them. There are still 98 stones left, and I will have the ghost of a panther instead of a horse. Bravo!

  And in my country, such things are a shame for a lifetime.
...You must make normal traditional game settings, not need mucks and provocations. Accessories from these "Dwarven crates" should fall out in accordance with the race and the character's profession in the game. Otherwise, this is rubbish, which undermines respect for your game.
In the meantime, I'm not going to buy anything from the Store at all. Because my mood to shop - was gone.
