Magicka Sorc Build for vMA
For people looking to clear for the first time


SETUP
  • 5x Necropotence
  • 2x Ilambris if you are comfortable and want more dmg. Use 2x iceheart if you have a problem with dying or 2x infernal guardian if you have issues with killing adds on the edges of the arena.
  • 4x Moondancer or Infallible Aether - Infused or Sharpened Lightning Staff with shock enchant
  • 1x Crafted random (or moon/infallible if you have another) Infused or Nirnhoned or Sharpened Lightning Staff with spell/wep. damage enchant**
*If you don’t have infallible/moon staves, you can also use master architect if you have that. Otherwise use a random crafted lightning staff in infused trait and enchant front bar with shock and back-bar with weapon/spell dmg glyph. In that case you would use willpower jewelry with spell dmg enchants. For more see the "Help im out of magicka" section.

Bar Setup:

F-Bar: Streak, Liquid Lightning, Inner Light, Volatile Familiar, Hardened Ward, Elemental Rage
B-Bar: Lightning Form, Lightning Blockade, Inner Light, Volatile Familiar, Surge, Meteor

Rotation:

Basically you will always start with popping a potion, surge, shield, put down your dots (LL+wall) on the enemies, activate the pet and heavy attack until the dots run out. Rinse and repeat forever. Make sure your surge+shield is up 100% of the time and you will not die. Don’t use stamina to run, since you will need it to break free when you are CC’d. If you need to get anywhere use streak. You will be spending most of your time on your front bar that has shield and streak so it will be easy. For more damage you can swap meteor with Destro ult, but i like having destro ult handy for the bosses.

Save your destro ult for each stage miniboss. On main boss, drop destro ult at will. If you find your ult has not generated, you can use meteor instead.
Ilambris setup will do more damage, but if you find you are dying a lot and working on your first clear - Iceheart can be of help. Infernal guardian can also be a nice help, since it procs from using a shield, which you will be using all the time.

You should not be running out of magicka! Heavy attack more. JK
Replace one or two of your jewelry with magicka regen if you are having issues, otherwise run spell dmg.

CP (HotR):
Master at Arms - 44, Elemental Expert - 49; Elfborn - 40; Thaumaturge - 81, Staff Expert - 6.

Food: I like using witchmothers or mag/health blue food for first 8 stages and then use tri-food for the stage 9.
Why? Because i find i don’t have enough stamina to survive the last boss top phase otherwise. This is purely personal preference. Feel free to experiment with this. If you find you are having the stamina issue earlier in the Arena, use tri-stat-food for the full run.

Just hopped on pts to test the new Version of the Master's 2h and i have to say it's pretty good.
It hits harder than Executioner until 18% and for Targets around until ~11%.
on a non optimised build i could hit for 30k buffs with only Major Brutality and minor beserk.

This makes 2h so nice in add fights although in Single target 2h still has some Problems and Overall survivability is just too low mainly in execute vHoF/vMoL
in add fights 2h has great survivability with the shield from brawler.

@Alcast please create a nice 2h PvE build we know you want it

Werewolf Skill Line Needs Buff

Werewolves need a serious buff:

1. Damage - Damage is too low. Please double the overall damage.
2. Healing - Healing is way too weak. Please double the healing.
3. Mitigation - Not tanky enough. Please increase the buff to resistances and crit resists.
4. Mobility - We need a snare remover. Add to the howl ability or something.
5. Sustain - Spell cost is way too high. Please cut in half the cost to use spells. We run out of gas with two howls and are left to light attack spam.

The weaknesses of werewolves are real. When was the last you fought a werewolf? When was the last time a werewolf made you pee your pants???

VMA 2 handed weapons must be modified in light of the removal of master stat bonuses (Suggestion)

Anyone who has used a vMA 2h weapon recently likely shares the opinion that as it stands, the merciless charge enchantment is completley worthless and does almost no damage. In light of this, most people (like myself) choose to use double dot poisons on the 2h instead, or another poison/enchantment. Next patch, all "master" class weapons are having their extra stat bonus removed (in the vMA 2h's case, -189 WD), while at the same time being modified to retain the master enchant while simultaneously using a standard enchantment glyph or a poison. With the merciless charge enchantment hitting for almost nothing due to the absurd amount of mitigation available against it through Cp, resistances, buffs, etc, there is almost no reason whatsoever to use a vMA 2h over an asylum 2h. As such, I'd like to propose this:

Change the merciless charge enchantment to bleed damage instead of physical damage, so that it is not mitigated by every possible resistance modifier in the game.

This will give people an actual reason to use the vMA 2h next patch on certain setups, without letting it become totally eclipsed by the new asylum 2hs. People have spent heinous amounts of time grinding for these weapons, and it is important that they remain somewhat relevant and don't become forgotten golden relics sitting in banks and on mules (looking at you, master 2h).

Can we please have a costume for fishing? Example: short pants, shirt, vest with lures attached to front, hat with lures on it. Is it possible to create such a thing for us to buy in the crown store? I know I would wear it. Oh and it would have NO stats or boosts just a normal costume. Does anyone else want one?

You know when you do your crafting writs in the morning and every writ every day you get a "crate of blah-de-blah-***-hum-level-9-and-three-quarters-cloth/metal/wood"? You open the crate and get 25 bits of low level crap. Why not just put the 25 bits of low level crap in the original crate without forcing us to waste our time opening a second crate?
10 million people get their time wasted like this many times every single day.

- One click of vigor every 10 seconds gives an injection of 400+ spell/weap power
- The SPC uptime is signifacntly higher (80-90% vs 60-65% on any regular heal)
- Additional HoT.

This set is underrated because several youtubers chose it to be offtank set, while there are several better sets for offtank right now.
With current amount of stamina DD's many times in 4-6 mans content theres no point in running worm. Mending damage mitigation is also questionable. For 99% of 4 mans content it won't even matter for high end team.

Can someone explain to me the reason behind sap tanks. I have a mage blade dps and when I think about tanking end game content with that I can't see it. I heard about sap tanks from time to time in the past 2 years but never seen one in action. The passives don't satisfy me as opposed to a DK tank which I have.

Is this build just there for fun or can it be a legit end game content, main tank build? I love my mage blade and would try this if it's a good build for tanking but like I said, it doesn't satisfy me for being tank material. I'm missing something. Explain please.

I just recently saw a player with a face of a deadra he looked like an npc deadric is there a deadric cosmetic skin or an achivement i habe a deadric theme and i woulld love to find this i asked the player bit no reponce i now in the crown store there like only one skin currently which is the blood forged and thats it

I got a question to all the master DK's out there or anyone who have knowledge about this, I fought a DK in duel who have a fear skill slotted to his arsenal. My question is what make a DK without this skill "FEAR" was able to use it? what is it? what is this armor set?

Poll on Crown crates plus cautionary tale

In the Crown Store & ESO Plus sub-forum there is a cautionary tale of a man that purchased about 1130 crown crates and did not received the plague husk horse he wanted. That's $2690.30 even if he purchased them through 21000 Crown packs and $1,642.95 even if ALL crowns spent were purchased during crown sale. He had 30K leftover but those are crowns he paid for as well, probably purchased during crown sale. Link below for reference.

I've never purchased crown crates myself and I had guessed that not many do. This post changed that perspective and I'd like to see if the forum community has tossed the dice or not. How many crown crates have you purchased this year alone so far?

Do your characters know each other, or are they related?

You can have at least 8 characters if I'm correct. But do you roleplay that your characters know each other or are related. And also how do they interact?
For example

I have two main characters, a High Elf and a Dark Elf both in AD. Vezelle is the Dark Elf and Her friend Hydria is the High Elf. Before the s*** hit the fan and Oblivion started fallening from the sky. Hydria and Vezelle both lived in the Imperial city. Hydria is actually a immigrant from mainland Summerset and Vezelle is an Imperi native born, her father was an Imperial and her mother a Dark Elf. They both got sacrificed, and you know what happens from there.

But I pretend they each do about have the alliance and Main quests. I will buy them each their own home and give their friend a room in that home. That explains why they may share the same pets or mounts.

Do you guys do this if so I'd like you to share and give examples, we're always learning.

how much more must the core game suffer because of CP?

the core gameplay, classes, armor, weapons, etc. are all so much weaker then they were years ago, and hybrids are still non existent despite having access to better sets then ever before

skills are far less fun, classes far less unique, lines of skills and passives, racials, ults, everything has been nerfed patch after patch.

why?

because of CP, power has shifted from classes and core skills into the CP system, and as it gets stronger and more broken (as it does update after update) ZOS as to nerf something in response, and that something has always been and continues to be, classes, races, weapons and armor lines, sets, etc. everything except the precious CP system it loves so much.

CP is NOT FUN, it is boring numbers on a page, there are no skills in it, no flashy graphics or gameplay changing mechanics, just boring, flat, power, nothing else.

and yet skills that were interesting or could be fun, that do have cool animations or gameplay changing mechanics have continually been beat into the ground patch after patch.


if you removed the CP system characters would be in a substantially weaker state then they were a year ago let alone years ago because so much of the uniqueness and strength of characters has been nerfed and moved into a soulless, uninteresting, boring, power creep of a system known as the champion system.

and until CP is changed or removed, it wont stop, CP caps will increase, and classes, races, weapon lines, armor lines, passives, etc. will continue to be nerfed as a result.

its really quite sad, I rue the day this system was ever implemented T_T
