We’re so excited to be bringing The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind to you a little later this year, and hope Matt’s article that was published a couple days ago cleared up some questions you had about our future plans for Chapters and DLC game packs. In addition to bringing new Chapters to you during the second quarter of each year, we do plan to continue offering DLC game packs during the other three quarters which will still be available to ESO Plus members as part of your subscription.

Can someone explain to me the lore justification for a Templar being a Vampire? Please, I know it's "just a game" and we can "do whatever our little hearts desire" but I really would like to know how it would fit into the lore, if at all.

I'm not complaining about free stuff. It's that I'm being pestered at every level over these awards and my skill points and attribute points are being held hostage until I give in, stop whatever I'm doing, press F and go through the whole ridiculous pat-on-the-back nonsense. guys, i play verry successful my mageblade as a destro bomb in my cryo guild group.

where i struggle is bgs

i tried now several specs, all with golden weapons:

2h/restro caluurions spinners 1 domi (was my best results FM is too good, but it feels kinda same as my stamblade)

dw/restro caluurions amberplasm 2 skoria (slowed to dead.. unplayable)

destro restro spinners front lich back 2 skoria (okeyish my sorc feels alot stronger... its kinda weak sorc)

what is the probably best build for solo/premade bgs?

i do pretty well on my stamden stamblade mageplar stamplar and magsorc. i feel magnb is the hardest class to learn properly. any advices to how to improove myself? any pro tipps here?^^

Some thoughts on the extremely popular ebonshadow style staff

Recently with the outfit system hitting the live server, now i no longer see that tons of mages wallking around with the same maelstrom style staff. Everyone gets many styles to choose from. And I notice something interesting. Wherever you go, some certain style of staff has become extremely popular as you can almost see them everywhere, even in some streaming, yes i am saying the ebonshadow one. When i come to design my outfit for my magsorc, i kind of understand why.
From my perspective, the reason i use this style is, it looks the largest, yes, all staff style has some decoration on the top while the ebonshadow being the largest. A bird opening its arms, waiting to strike its enemy , the lion of the daggerfall covenant is also cool but when you put the staff on your back, oops, it looks smaller, especially with a tall character which is very common in altmer. On contrary, the bird ( or eagle?) on the ebonshadow staff looks way much cooler as it is larger and thus clearer when you are in third person doing dungeons or just pvp. Some other staff is fine when previewing in outfit system but when you put it on your back or using magic with it, for the Eight, i am using a 2 hand weapon, not a small wooden stick to fire my spell!!
Therefore, i want to give some advice. Please give us ability on adjusting the size of our weapon, and if possible, on certain parts of our weapons. I can only speak for the staff users . i would be very much like to make the staff look longer and the decoration clearer. I dont want to see all ranged dps using the same look staff as it was before.

Evasion vs Resistance buffs

Is there any point in using evasion that increases dodge chance and a skill like volatile armour that increases physical and spell resistance. What’s the point in buffing if you dodge? Would you say it’s a waste of a skill slot? Because I feel like I have to choose one or another. And if anyone uses these two or similar skills let me know how they perform (PVP)

I know this has 500 threads already, but because it never got acknowledged by the team, ill make one more.
But this isnt a rant. I just wanted to ask you other players what you think about those ideas.

I personally would welcome if you could at least choose if you can see veins and all while a vampire. Im getting sick when seeing veins under skin (which also is a reason why i never played Dragonknight... seeing a beating heart and pumping veins... no thanks), in real life and in game, but i wont heal vampirism, it sadly has major passives that are too good to pass up as a magicka sorc dps. If i could be just pure white (like argonian vampires are), i would have absolutley 0 problems with this anymore. (This sounds very racist......... but people in tamriel are pretty racist too, so...)
I already read many people say something like "If you want to be a vampire, then live with the visual changes." And with the reason of getting white i can agree, youre pretty (un)dead. But the veins have nothing to do with vampirism for me. Vampires normally dont have blood (tho vampires in Eso are diffrent, and i dont know for sure if they have blood or not, but ill roll with they dont for now), and veins shouldnt show at all if they have nothing in them. This only indicates for me that your skin will get paper thin while a vampire, but that makes no sense to me either, even while being dead. Im no expert, but skin on corpses looks more leathery and even less transparent then normal, and not so thin that you can see through it. I dont say a fantasy game should be realistic, but please dont comment against this with realism either. So for me this is just a cosmetic change that you could easily make optional without hurting anyone. But feel free to tell if youre hurt. This thread is to find out.

And please remember: Optional doesnt mean removed! If you still want to look exactly the same as at the moment, you would still be able to. But others who would like some changes, could get them without taking options from others. In games like this, individuality is very important, and more options just add to that, and take nothing away.

Warden Bear Aggros enemy while disguised or sneaking

Is it intentional that the Warden Bear runs up to the nearest torch bearing enemy guard and starts wailing on him when you are wearing a disguise and or trying to sneak past? Does this happen in cyrodil too? I thought all the combat pets were not supposed to attack anything unless you were under attack attacking something? Occurred on a level 13 warden in Bethnikh where there are a couple of quests you are supposed to be wearing a disguise in, all of them. Also, even while the bear was attacking if I hid behind a pillar and still had the hidden icon on the screen I did not lose my disguise or get discovered due to my bear attacking the guard. Either way, this unprovoked bear aggro makes it hard to complete sneaky quests.

Cp is the one major things causing all the imbalance between classes. No so much the skills but all the perks from the champion tree. In non champ cp campaigns your success depends on a few things. 1 your gear...2 your skill selection...3 the people your playing with to compliment your build......AND 4 YOUR ACTUAL SKILL. Yes that’s right skill.... not relying on super buffed toons that can tank an entire zerg. Fights are more fluid as you don’t have infinite resource recovery and you can’t dodge forever either. That means that you have to be more aware of your skill usage and be more tactical in your actions.. is it worth it to sacrifice that last bit of magica to heal? Or use it to get that little bit of crit burst to finish off your opponent?

Yes people will complain that oh iv farmed my cp for months and even years like I have but cp honestly starts to remove the distinctions between some classes. You have glass cannon builds that turn into armored cannons. You have nuke builds and even untouchable fortress builds that you have absolutely no hope to kill by yourself who in turn can kill you rather easily.

So why not just remove champion trees? How about you keep the passive skills if you really really want to have an end game grind? Spend 50 cp to buy that perk. But these % trees are the real balance killers. I miss when there was more armor diversity because you had to run certain armor setups to make your self a certain play style build.

As a nb I used to build for crit damage. Ok so some stam dk has heavy armor and impen on his gear ok I couldn’t crit him as hard. But guess what. His magic def wasn’t as strong and a sorc could come kill him!!! Wow what a concept. Ok let’s say that dk decides to build for def both physically and magical ok so he sacrificed his dps to be more tanky. That’s how true builds are supposed to be. Your supposed to sacrifice something to get something. As a burst build I sacrifice survivability if someone has high def and medium atk but with Cp classes are removing the sacrifices to their builds that would otherwise make a class and build balanced.

I mean what is balance? Fire water light dark hot cold day night alive dead, water beats fire, lightning beats water , fire beats electric.... I mean you guys played Pokémon so I don’t have to explain to you how some classes have advantages and disadvantages. Tanks should take damage not deal it. Cannons should deal damage not take it and magic is just the other spectrum deal damage not take it. It’s just the difference between physical and magical. You can build for max def against phys and magical but have no magical or physical damage or you can build for max damage both physically and magical and have no def or you build for one and def with both. I don’t know how much more I can explain how balance works. And bottom line is Cp takes away from that balance. Without cp classes have their natural strengths against some classes and natural weaknesses. So if you want to negate that weakness you have to sacrifice something else for it. Thanks for listening to my rant

Outfitting system - NPC clothes? :D

Think we could eventually get NPC clothes like the ones you can steal for use in the outfit system? I mean there's already a clothing section... *wink wink*
Also, I would love to have some casual mundane looking townie clothes haha
I carry a ton of it on my main, tho I can't really wear it, as it provides 0 armor or set bonuses :(

cloak doesn't work while targeting NPCs again

If you have "prevent attacking innocents" enabled, cloak doesn't activate.

Why is this bug back??!!
How was this EVER considered an attack?! That's the reason it can't be used while targeting innocents. The game treats it as an enemy targeted attack, and not a self buff like it should be.

I'm sick of these repeat bugs. FIX IT!

Fun Fact: Elf Bane Buffs Zaan Proc

Had this brought up by a friend who is a strong advocate for the Elf Bane set, so I deceided to test it and, and behold, it works

In the second test, with Elf Bane equipped, I got two additional ticks of damage, both of which had the bonus damage stacking applied to them.

Now what does this mean?
Firstly, you get less down time on the sets proc, as well as pretty much doubling the damage. With full buffs up, you could probably expect that last tick to be hitting for closer to 15-20k damage.

PVP wise, I don't think this is a massive deal, given the counterplay, and in terms of PVE, only Mag DK can really make use of the set, and given that they are struggling a bit right now as a melee Magicka DPS, I feel this isn't too overpowered.

I'm nearing a full completion of all the Eidetic Memory books, and I've been collecting the ones you made available in the last couple updates.

I've double checked the ones I'm missing again, and they are still not collectible after you've done the quests accociated with them.

It would be really great if you could make these books available as well, so people can finish off their book collections.

"Letter to Egranor" is supposed to be found at this location in Auridon, most likely associated with the quest on that location. However, after the quest is done, the note is no longer found anywhere.

"Pierced Note" is supposed to be found in the Redoran house on this location in Balmora, which is associated with a quest. However, after the quest is done, the house is locked off and the note not available. Please either put the note somewhere outside the house, or simply unlock the house after the quest has been completed. There are already way too many locked off buildings in Balmora, why did you have to lock this door as well after the quest has finished?

"Eyes of the Queen Only" is supposed to be found in Stormhold, Shadowfen. Most likely associated with the quest in that city. However, after the quest is done, the note is no longer available, and the dungeon under the city associated with the quest is locked off.

"Experiment Journal" is supposed to be found in the Vile Manse public dungeon. Most likely associated with the quest in that dungeon. However, once again, after the quest, the journal vanishes. Please make it available somewhere in the dungeon after the quest as well.

"King Joile's Orders to General Mercedene" is supposed to be found in Honor's Rest in Orsinium, associated with the "Ashes of our Fathers" quest, where you get drawn into the past. Once finished with the quest, you can no longer access the place in the past with the note. Please make the note available somewhere in Honor's Rest after the quest. You could call it a lingering remnant of the past or whatever.

These are the final few I need to be able to finish off the Eidetic Memory collection. It's been a long and ardous journey, but please help me be able to finish it off, that would be nice.

yes, a very naive melody :)

initially I had tried to kick off the conversation with questions on a bunch of random topics...

love to fight, carry scrolls, gank, defend, attack, pour oil on folks, repair keep walls til your fingers bleed - this is your thread...

love hearing big and little battle stories, as well as observations concerning the interaction between the alliances in this campaign - who doesn't love a good bridge fight...

big IC fan...at this point i wanna apologize right now for anything weird or crazy i may have done in IC (or for any future stuff)...I'm pretty laid back in cyro - IC has a way of getting me fired up on occasion...

hmmmmm, is it really true cyro reveals whom you want to be, and, IC reveals who you truly are...

I swear I get hives if I don't heal someone every few days...or more likely every day. ( Dungeons and trials is my love)
