i've been trying to install eso on my desktop but i only can find the installer at account.elderscrollsonline.com and it doesn't seem to work, or at least doesn't seem compatible with windows 10.

i got the new Install_ESO.exe started it, it unpacks but nothing happens.

then i found it unpacked on the temp dir and i started setup.exe but i always get the same message: "Windows error 2 occurred while loading the Java VM"

any ideas on how to install ESO on the latest windows 10 version?

If I pay for eso+ instead of trial do I get 6 crates ?

I’m waiting for my card to come in the mail to make a purchase hoping it comes any day and I was going to get an eso membership. I see the event is starting July 10-16. A question to ZOS but will I still be able to acquire the 6 psijic crates if I get a membership instead of the trial and login between those days?

Skill line suggestion: Deity/Pantheon

$

There are already enough calls for a necromancer class, but I believe that a lore-friendly option for new skills would be in the various divine pantheons. The various pantheons would be world skills, and like current vampire and werewolf skill lines they would be optional and mutually exclusive. Choice would include Aedra (aka the Eight Divines, Talos hasn't come around yet), Daedra, Tribunal, and possibly others (e.g. Y'ffre). After choosing a pantheon, characters could then choose a particular deity to dedicate themselves to (possibly including Lorkhan/Lorkhaj/Sep/Shor/Sheor/Shezarr in the Aedra pantheon). Each pantheon and deity would have it's own skills, and possibly associated debuffs, like a requirement to visit a shrine periodically, much like a vampire must feed.

Just thought of it, haven't fleshed it out, figured I'd crowdsource the seed of an idea.

The Lucky Gryphon - Hardcore PvP Progression. Casual ERP.

Introduction

Welcome to The Lucky Gryphon, the Inn at the end of The Elder Scrolls. My name is Grim, and I have spent a hundreds of hours helping to teach and train new and seasoned PvP players both in game, and via my Youtube channel. ESO is a game that does a terrible job of organically teaching players how to play at the highest level possible. Layers of the game are hidden under mysterious lines of code, stats, numbers, and modifiers, and without the guidance of other players, true progression can take years. I am opening The Lucky Gryphon so that anybody can seek out the highest quality PvP support and mentorship available; but this journey is not for the faint of heart. Many will fail and few will succeed. If you are up for the challenge, read on.

Region: North American Server
Focus: Advanced PvP Training and Progression (1vX and Small Group). Also the occasional casual ERP.
Primary Faction: Daggerfall Covenant (though all factions are welcome to join).
Voice Chat: Discord is required to participate in most group activities.
Contact: @Grimhallow
Blood Price: Full Membership to The Lucky Gryphon costs 1,000 gold per week. These funds go towards helping gear younger members, as well as provide for future guild accommodations and guarantee that all members are fully invested in learning and progression. Those who choose to give more may be awarded special titles, honors, and information.

Our Plans and Goals

Not only will members have the opportunity to progress to the highest levels of PvP, but you will also be given the opportunity to join on special guild events, which consist predominantly of playing pranks on the try-hard potatoes that roam cyrodiil. In the past we have set up (emote) RP scenes, for enemy factions to stumble across, taken strategic points of interest and

We will also be helping the newer members set up their first PvP builds, including overcoming such PvE milestones as getting their first Master and Maelstrom weapons, and any darn monster sets your little heart desires.

Progression Structure within The Lucky Gryphon

At the top we have me, Your Beloved Potentate (aka Guildmaster).
The Inner Circle- Officers at The Lucky Gryphon. Granted full access to the inner workings.
Mythic - A member who has proven themselves as a master player, teacher, and group leader.
Blood Prince - A member who contributes above and beyond the requirements of the Guild.
Master Crafter - A member who has maxed all crafting trees and traits, and has offered their services to the guild.
Cultist - A fully initiated member of The Lucky Gryphon, afforded all the secrets and privileges therein.
Patron - A newly welcomed guest of the Inn.

Commodities

-Members will be granted access to our excluuusive getaway guild hall: The Lucky Gryphon Inn (along with the following perks).
-Access to the game’s many secrets.
-Regular opportunities for small group PvP.
-Hands on teaching and training with Grim, and his officers.
-Class trips to the most interesting RP locations in Tamriel.
-Help creating and testing builds for all classes.
-Stimulating conversation and ERP opportunities.

Again, I want to stress that this is not a guild for the faint of heart. You will not learn any new PvP skills just by being on the member list and paying your weekly fee. You’ll have to put in a lot of thought, time, and work if you want to improve your abilities. If I didn’t scare you away, then I look forward to hearing from you in game, or here in the forums.

Why is the trial scene so toxic?

Hi, I have been doing a lot of trials recently and man this is personally my least favorite scene to deal with. Vet/Norm Dungeon scene is the most the most chill to me, then pvp, then last is trials. Everybody to me in trials are just very toxic for the most part. What are your guys’s most and least favorite scenes?

Of Wolf and Raven - A casual, solo friendly guild. Beginners and Veterans welcome!

Hi all! My name is RavenSworn, have been playing since beta started and loving this game so far!

I remembered the first few months of trying out the game, finding out how some of the mechanics work and so on. It was frustrating and I thought I would like to start a guild that focuses on new players or even returning players alike and help them gain some traction with the game play and such. It's my aim to help out these players and I would love to include those solo players that might need help once in a while with questing, grinding or what not.

I am also looking for veteran / new players to join us and help out with guild events or just managing some of the events planned out. We would appreciate and strongly recommend that you have Discord so as to keep up with our guild communications. Check out our discord servers and do drop by to ask around for more info. The servers are https://discord.gg/TUQYJxt . Dont worry if you can't VC with us, we are more then happy to welcome you to the guild!

There are many events that I am planning for the coming year with new dlcs so do drop me a pm, or a mail in the forums or ingame for an invite! Hope to see you in Tamriel and luck on your battles!

UPDATE *we have reached 400+members! We are looking for late night US based players or Oceanic players. Most of our players are playing in the EST/PST timezone so it would be awesome if we can get more late nighters, morning rushers or Oceanic / Aus players looking to find a home.

Jewelry Crafting Master Writs are worthless

$

Because of the difficulty to obtain improvement mats (and the sheer cost and value of them) the master writs are simply not worth enough vouchers to make them viable. It's 10 times the work to get those improvement mats, but yet the master writs are worth the same as regular master writs. That makes no sense. They are practically "trash worthy".

Could we see an exponential increase in their voucher value please?

This is a list of things that I would feel improve the game in needed directions.

necromancer class- it’s something many of us have begged for since day one and it would introduce some needed class variety. For as long as the game has been out playing the same classes feel stale. A new skill line isn’t enough for a lot of people.

New skill lines- what I think would be interesting is slowly add skill lines with each or representing either a divine or a daedric prince. Dibella can present new healing options or mephala brings new poison, spiders and web options etc. this would allow a ton of new variety to old classes with endless options. It would also help role players like myself solidify what we want to be. You can either make them all available to mix or it can be live a Mundus stone that you devote yourself to one.

Witch hunter skill line- this would provide a viable option to players that don’t want to be a werewolf or a vampire but still get perks like if they were one. It could be a really cool dlc.

Vampires- Many people pick vampires for the passives. That doesn’t really seem why you should pick it. I would like to see vampires lose some strength in their passives and add on to their active ability options.

Fishing- this is more for roleplayers but I think it would be cool to have fishing levels. That unlock new special areas as you progress. Small things like a sailor can take you out on a boat to the ocean to catch rare fish. People love fishing. It would be cool to see it not feel like a grind and more of a experience.

Staves- the ice stave seems really out of place. The most of the moves don’t fit well with it. Mages need more vanity of their spells to fit what they want to be. It would be nice to see all the staves split into options more fitting. We even see npcs use interesting moves for each that I would love to see added.

Crowd control- I would like to see time extended on when you can be hit with another. With the exception of snares. There’s to much cc happening in pvp.

Bards- we need to get the audio team to work. Music is one of those quality of life things that people love to do in between everything. A bard college would be great. It could be fun and possibly provide a way for people to make side money. Missions to play at events or a form of begging in a public area without spamming chat begging for money. Like place a interactive hat down for people to interact and put money in.

Sets- there’s types in the game that havent been getting a lot of variety in sets. Ice for one. There are currently 3 sets in the game. None of them are all that great. Winterborn would be a great set to update, but please add more ice sets. Healers could use more variety, werewolf, vampires, spider sets(again I really like mephala) Another is chloromancers. This really saddens me that every move they have is healing and no offensive spells. I would love to be a wyrd that can use spriggans or bloodthorns.

Conjure weapons- it would be great to introduce magic based swords and shields that drain you Magicka. This would help provide a variety of tanks for other classes like Nightblades that prefer to be more magic based then stamina.

Introducing small daily events or festivals that happen in a city somewhere in tamerial and grind missions that provide valuable unique items in all the towns. All the work put into in the game is beautiful but after you have been through a area there’s no reason to comeback unless there is a major city. Most of the areas just feel empty with people. I would like to things to do that will spread people out and populate the areas. These can be things like this sailor town is having a fishing tournament for the biggest or most fish so fish in this area for ranked furniture.
You can do fishing, small cult festival, worshing a divine, a wacky mission, cheese hunts, bounty for vampires or werewolf terroring a area.

Colosseum- we need a gladiator area like from oblivion where we can go solo or as a group and fight hundreds of different combinations of things. The current ones we have feel small. It would be great roleplay to be a actual gladiator

Well theses are all the big things that I currently can think of. Thank you for reading! :)

Also if anyone can tag the devs or guys in charge to check it out and see what they think I would really appreciate it.

The Blackbriar Barter Co is a high volume trading guild (PC-NA) usually located in Mournhold.

- This is our 2nd ESO trading guild
- Huge weekly Raffles, auctions and regular guild events

Are 'Ball-Groups' even logical ?

$

This needs putting out there. I don't ever see them doing anything productive or fun and a solo gets better AP gain. I think they just do it for attention...

How many times you read... "**(random generic ball-group) at *** (random generic keep)" ?

Its like some players get kicks out of knowing which ball-group is which and that people will think they are cool for mention them (people use nameplates too, not me but ball group = easy AP to a solo so I remember some @names). Don't big-up these ball zergs, they are totally useless and are just trolling newbies or AD (AD are almost all newbies in Vivkek(EU) coz of morning caps). They feed off of undeserved hype.

So I guess the point is, what is the point of these portable Rugby scrums that just hold onto each others crotches and throw the ball backwards if they ever get it? Doesn't seem very progressive for 'wannabe' end-gamers and takes no skill what-so-ever.

I don't think they are logical, Royals were a very effective 12 man raid that equalled 20 man ZS but we were not ball, just had an inventive leader. Black Swords seem to be similar but never ran with them. AD and EP do not have this stuff.

As a PuG lead we can contain ZS, UF, DE, NL, Big Boss, Saras or anyone with 1/5 numbers because they are all so predictable and DC don't like to play like we were 7 year olds chasing a football so we know how to AvAvA with least pop.

Like a lot of things in life its like genitalia. Its not how big your zergs or balls are... Its what you do with them that counts.... ;)

*note..... I don't hate ball-groups I just feel sorry for them.

Constant disconnects.

I'm getting constant disconnects. Before Summerset the game ran fine, but after it's launch I've been having nothing but random DC's plagueing my play time. The only reliable catalyst for them seems to be zone transitions, but something as random as learning a style motif can do it as well. Anyone else having these problems, and how can I solve them?

After a six month break, The Mists of Tamriel is rebuilding and restructuring and looking for new members. We are a casual, social PVE guild looking for laid-back, friendly players of all levels and play styles. No dues or requirements other than being respectful of other guild members. No toxic behavior will be accepted. We are currently very small, and I am looking for core members to help me recruit and grow. Hoping to build a friendly environment for people to explore Tamriel together and learn from each other. We do have a BAND page. If you are interested or have questions, please leave your GT below or send me a message.

Is there a way to reorder the listing of characters on the selection screen? Currently it is ordered by date created, but if I started main-playing another character I would rather move it to the top (the OCD is real).

and haven't been able to log back in. This happened about the time the new info went up in Announcements. I've tried every bit of troubleshooting info I could find. Obviously if I'm the only one having an issue, then it must be something on my end (though my internet is working just fine).

The only two people I know who play are both at work right now, so can't check as they don't play from work.

I get the Login Error: Connection to server timed out message over and over. On NA Server, PC.

What stamina base class is better for BGs?

I have a DK, NB, Warden and Templar that i can turn into stamina, but i'm not sure who should i try first. I saw Fengrush play sorcerer stamina and it seems pretty fun, but i would like to know from you what really shines in BGs. I like all, there is no one that i like more or less, but the thing is that i don't have too much time to try all of them.
