PTS Update 19 - Feedback Thread for Wardens

Seeing as nobody cares and according to the patch notes the ONLY problem with the class was that Arctic Blast should have had a 3% increase to the max health heal...

I have taken it upon myself to make this thread.

Wardens, what is your feedback for the class this PTS or over the Summerset patch as many people don't have access to the PTS?

Before taking in this awesomeness = my cool idea number 7 came true (https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/420000/cool-idea-7-sigil-of) ...i know, i know...you may not like or agree with it, but i got that elder scroll's sight! :-)
IDEA = MAJOR big time rewards for the GUILD for a campaign...
How would it work? = Maybe you all can help...
It could look a little like this...you could add an extra guild kiosk in each capital city; Mourn, Wayrest, Grahtwood. The top ???scoring??? guild would get that kiosk for free. There could be other prizes for the top 10 guilds or so...but I wanna keep this simple for now. WHAT COULD BE 2ND--10TH PRIZE?
Scoring = when a guild claims a castle, they could receive points per tick, and the longer they keep the castle the more points they score...something like, 1 point for 1 tick, 4 points for 2 ticks, 9 points for 3 ticks, etc.
example, if you held a castle x you would get y points;
  • 1 tick = 1 point
  • 2 ticks = 4 points
  • 4 ticks = 16 points
Resources could be worth ¼ of a keep, so 1 tick for .25 points, 2 ticks for 1 points, etc.
WELL, that’s just the initial inspiration and it would seem pretty easy to implement because you just have to make a leaderboard for the guilds, add kiosks and boom!
Other benefits = pvp guilds would become more important, more guild pride, defense of keeps would be emphasized, its like a win, win, win, win.

i just did a dark brotherhood sacrament 5 minutes ago and had walls and floors disappearing at certain camera angles. why is it that bugs that got fixed already so often keep reappearing? this is very disappointing!

Does it matter what level you are, when you start the thieves guild or dark brotherhood dlc? Or do you have any recommendation? No spoilers please!

How many meta race players have you heard saying this?

My solution:

Remove the current racial passives entirely. The only racial passive we should have is the inherent racial passive, like the 1% AP bonus gain from breton, 1% gold bonus gain from imperials, and so on, because passives creates an imbalance, a go-to race, lack of freedom. Statiscally, high elves outnumbers every other race. I'm imperial sorc, my passives tells me that I had a heavy training as a warrior. Well, I haven't. I'm a mage, I didn't train to be a warrior.

Instead of the current passives, we should have a tab called "Specialization", between skill and champion tree tab, where we set our specialization and chose what we would like to raise: max magicka or max stamina for base energy resource (pick one), pick one defensive passive (max hp, spell/physical resistance, crit resist?, healing received, and so on), 1 recovery passive (like, magicka recovery, health recovery, decreased cost of stamina or magicka ability passive, and so on), offensive passive (spell/physical dmg, spell/physical crit, spell/phys. penetration, healing done), always picking one from each.

This covers everything, free us from bouding to races that we don't like, and actually would release us to be 100% better.

2nd solution idea that is out there: Birthsigns instead of racial passives.

Unfortunately we gotta bring this up again, It needs to not stack and have a longer cooldown.

Great you fixed it breaking cloak... Happy nbs.... What about sorcs? It needs an extended cooldown to give healing ward a chance to keep up with it

For stacking this seems obvious, unmitigated damage shouldn't stack

A 15% dmg reduction is useless, that shaves like 130 dmg off ea tic....

The siege masters of Vivec and Shor have learned from their counterparts in Sotha Sil, and all siege weapons will be more effective against players in Champion enabled Campaigns.

Developer Comment:
Siege damage over the years has tailed off in terms of raw output when comparing CP vs. No-CP campaigns. Siege in Non-CP campaigns deal damage that more closely resembles the original design and intent of Siege weaponry. The changes we’re doing to Siege damage in Champion-enabled campaigns result in closer parity between CP and Non-CP Siege damage.

I don't have exact numbers, but on live in Vivec I get hit by about 3100 damage from a fire balista.
On PTS, with same defensive CP, I get hit for 4200ish from a fire balista.

At first I thought maybe it's ignoring my CP in CP now... nope. When you take your CP out it does even more damage.


This seems to be approx 35% damage increase to siege... just in case the current scattershot catapaults weren't OP enough LOL...


Can other people please test siege damage and post your results to double check?... I really hope I'm wrong.


Edit: I did further testing. It seems to be a 31.5% damage increase from live to pts on vivec.

Live:
Fire balista 8971 damage against resource npc
Cold harbor treb 24921 with 12441 dot against resource npc

Same toon on PTS against resource npc:
Fire balista 11796 damage against resource npc
Cold harbor treb 32771 with 16386 dot against resource npc

is this normal? pvp population question

PC NA right now
why DC 2 bars, and EP has a queue? I was 59 when initially joined for campaign
I heard back in a days it was an exploit when other faction toons in group can queue for campaing and lock population especially

Everytime i get sniped i die first THEN take damage. 3 sniped all hitting me at once and i lose all my resources FIRST and then my HEALTH and once i die THEN i take damage from the sniper. ITS LAAAAAAAAAAAME!

Some bugs with Ball of lightning

Using the sorcerer skill ball of lightning it will summon a small orb.
  • This one counts as a pet for sets like necropotence
  • if you use the skill 2 times in a row it will count as killed enemy for sets or passives like 2h stam reg
  • if the orb really absorbs a projectile is kinda random and does not work all the time especial in the air projectiles will not absorbed or if you use the skill fast in a row
  • still does not work everywhere "invalid" location
  • sometimes doesn't go off but consumed the mag

And NO, Clockwork Observatory isn't a Dwemer but is Clockwork. I and many other people are complete dwemer fanatics and have been waiting on a dwemer homestead since the launch of homestead. Ive loved the Dwemer aesthetic since Ive been in their ruins since the original morrowind and when homestead was announced I was hopeful that one day Dwemer architecture would be used for a homestead, Afterall we already have dwemer furniture and pipes. To my disappointment, one year later we are getting/got a ship house, a leaked psjiic house, our own piece of coldharbor, and even an island but still nothing of the dwemer?

I need a place to put all my dwemer pets, mounts, and furniture zos :( preferable in beautiful vvardenfell on its own little island plot, preferably not in skyrim nor hammerfell (because I like to have my gardens where the lands are fertile). Somewhere to the south where the grass is fertile, but nowhere to the east where those horrible Telvanni flesh towers would be in view.

Scourge Alliance is recruiting Werewolves! New to the game, or PVP? No problem, we are willing to help and teach! Guild Cave includes all Mundus Stones. We also run pve activities including dailies. Every Wednesday, 8 pm central, is werewolf PVP night, currently hunting in Shor with EP, but are growing AD and DC members to get packs hunting with them.

Missing Textures - where's the beef?

I was doing crafting writs and when I logged on, as is all too common nowadays, there were all sorts of missing textures, long loading screens, etc. When I went in the inn in Belkarth I noticed that, though the cooking fire was invisible and couldn't be interacted with, the kebabs in the fire were stealable! So I stole them

Since I'm posting a picture off odd instancing behavior here's a bonus - on the peninsula in northern Summerset you can see a lake in the inaccessible area. If you manage to get up into that area the "lake" is really in a 100' deep pit. If you jump into this inescapable deep hole the water is full of slaughterfish who helpfully allow you to escape. Good thing we're immortal.
