Freedom to change classes.
"Play as you like to play".
For most Elder scrolls games this sentence holds true, as you are truly free to do whatever you like.
Here, in ESO, you are already restricted by classes the second you enter the game.
Classes aren't that bad, as it restricts the players from mix-matching the best and strongest combo imaginable in this game, but at the same time it becomes a problem when it comes to balance.
Every class should feel unique. Every class should be able to do the same things any other class can do. Instead of focusing on the uniqueness of each class they all need to be the same since someone is bound to complain if his/her class is just a bit weaker compared to any other class.
Should classes, like Atribute points and skill points, be changeable if the player wishes so?
I would say yes.
We all like to test things and play around. If X build or style doesn't fit your taste you collect some cash and reset your Stats or skills.
If you know what style fits you best you pick the appropriate class and start working towards your goal. Didn't it fit your taste, or didn't it reach your expectations... then you get into a problem.
In Single player games you can install a mod to fix mistakes you have made. In a Multiplayer game this isn't possible.
In a single player game where you can't use mods (console) you can even look for exploits to gain what you need the fast way (most Skyrim players might know Crouching Hadvar backstabbing trick to gain 99 sneak in 20 minutes).
Since this is a Multiplayer game those types of "unfair" advantages are a sin. And, since Zenimax spend a lot of time creating this Lore-filled fantasy world, Brainless grinding to get levels fast is also frowned upon (and "fixed"/ removed from the game).
To experience (or at least test out) everything in this game you need to play the whole game 4 times (main story, Silver and Gold) so you have each of the different Classes.
Besides that you need to spend MONTHS learning every trait for each weapon and armor piece, at least if you want to have a Genuine (Skyrim/ Oblivion/ Morrowind like) hero.
Having a Class change option would benefit the freedom of the players greatly.
Sure, you might get the "flavour of the Month" talk, but unlike now they could actually make the classes more unique in their own way.
If you want to be a real HP heavy tank you could be a DK, A sustain DPS a Sorc, a burst DPS a NB and a healer a Temp.
For how it would work?
A Player talks to X NPC to change its Class for a small fee (note the words small fee)
If the player wants to put skill points in said new class skill tree they would need to (1) have lots of skill points to spare or (2) reset their skill points.
Sort of like the Vampire / Werewolf tree.
Become one. Level the skill tree (for Classes it would be trees), level the skills and your done.
You switch to another Class (one you haven't worked on before) you have to level their skills and trees from the start (and If you switch to a class you have played as before you can continue where you left off).
FoTM is still a simple concept to talk about, but most people seem to forget that equipment is a important factor in this.
Suddenly switching from a Light armor Glass tank Sorc to a Heavy armor Tank DK will cost a bit more than just the Class changing and skill reset frees.
I'm curious what other people think about this.
And, with curious i mean that i hope to have a normal discussion without swearing, name calling or flaming of any kind.
If you don't like this concept (to whatever extent) i would love to hear why, or for what reason. A "No, because i hate it", "Yes, and all no-sayers should F**k off" or something along that line doesn't contribute to any discussion besides showing off that the writer of said sentence is a closed-minded *** (to say it nicely).

How do YOU play? A discussion of rewarding styles of play.
Well, looks like the NA PC megaserver is down for now. So here's what I propose to pass the time, a little discussion how we each enjoy this game. I'll start!
I absolutely love how with a little work and theory crafting, you can create a build that is distinct to your own play style without being punished too much for it. Let's face it, there will always be the flavor of the month min maxed builds, but they bore me. The character I have had the most fun playing was my magicka sorcerer with a pet build. It felt so much fun commanding my own little group of minions and watching my opponents in Cyrodiil have to decide on the fly whether or not to push the attack on me or to try to take down my pets quickly to leave me vulnerable. I'd win fights and lose fights, but always have a good time.

Really need a look
Right now I have a nightblade and I'm trying really hard to get a kind of white assassin type look and failing kind of bad. Want white as primary color and red as secondary.
Using 2 heavy 5 light.
So far I love my light breton hood, and heavy xivkyn chest. Looking for some good light gloves, and heavy shoulders to match this well in terms of an assassin type look. Any suggestions?

Why is ok for argonians to be so useless?
Since beta no race has had anywhere near as lousy and as useless racials as argonians have had and I am seriously wondering why is that ok with zos? They pretend to "buff" us by making our potions ever so slightly better over and over again to no effect. Patch after patch, year after year, the state of this garbage racial never gets any better. Some how by some miracle the amphibious racial still exists and has not yet been replaced by something meaningful. Look at our racials and tell me what role/class that goes with? Are we supposed to be healers? I mean you gave us restoration staff bonus xp(even though lore wise that makes no sense). Yet we don't get increased heals to others and are only good at healing ourselves, so who would pick argonian for a healer? Its obvious we aren't intended to dps since we get ZERO bonuses to stamina or magicka. Even tanking is garbage with the racials we have been cursed with.
We got a racial that only works when drinking a potion and swimming.... let that really sink in.... On top of that it isn't even a good potion racial! Even if it restored 100%hp/stam/magicka it would still be junk and that is the highest possible buff you could put on it zos. While you have been incrementally increasing it, I skipped straight to 100% and found it to still be crap so just get rid of it already! Why would argonians be better at chugging potions anyways? Where is the lore that supports that?!?!?! Better at making potions, yes, but not at drinking them. Here let me help you remember what argonians looked like in previous games because apparently you forgot!
In morrowind we had:
Male 40 str Female 40 str
40 int 50 int
30 will 40 wil
50 agi 40 agi
50 spd 40 spd
30 end 30 end
30 per 30 per
40 luck 40 luck
+15 to athletics,+5 alchemy, +5 illusion, +5 medium armor, +5 mysticism, +5 spear, +5 unarmored Waterbreathing, 100% poison resistance, and 75% disease resistance
Notice that argonians have very low endurance which back then meant they were bad in the health department, yet somehow we ended up with a hp increase! Also take note of our extreme speed! Not only do we have the fastest base speed, but we also get a massive +15 to athletics making argonians the favorite race for speed runners(yet some how orcs get the speed boost, yeah ok zos you were high when you made the racials admit it)! Female argonians are not to bad at being mages and yet no magicka boost what so ever! We are looking at the stats for a race that either chooses to go thief/assasin or mage, not tank zos and not healer. Based on this we should remove the health passive and replace it with the stam and magicka racial that dunmer have because it makes perfect sense lore wise.
In oblivion we had pretty much the exact same attributes, but with more luck this time. We still have the water breathing and the same resistances as before.
+10 Athletics and Security
+5 Alchemy, Blade, Hand to Hand, Illusion, and Mysticism
So yet again these are stats that would be rather bad for a tank or healer, but actually not half bad for a mage or thief. Also take note that neither of these games gave us a bonus to drinking potions(only making better ones), that one was pulled from a dark and smelly place.
Now in skyrim the most up to date game we no longer get attributes so we can't look at those, but we do have these starting skills.
Lockpicking +10
Light Armor +5
Alteration +5
Pickpocket +5
Restoration +5
Sneak +5
Alright so now we see where this sudden restoration boost of +5 comes in, but before you go "BUT SLAM YOU SAID ARGONIANS BEING GOOD AT RESTORATION MAKES NO SENSE LORE WISE!!!11!" Imperials have a +10 to restoration in skyrim and yet they get no healing boost in eso. Ignoring that though based on these starting skills we can see yet again a focus on magic and thievery!
So with the actual argonian racial stats before us what conclusions can we make that zos failed to? We are clearly not a high health race so lets scrap Argonian resistance because based off all existing lore argonians are actually rather squishy. Argonians have never been any better at chugging potions then anyone else so amphibious has to go! I can see where they were going with quick to mend because argonians have hist skin in skyrim which makes us heal super fast, but other then that it makes no sense for argonians to get more healing received. Also we know hist skin will no doubt be our racial ultimate so no need to cover that with a passive skill. Now argonians are actually the most athletic race on nirn, so I could see us getting the orcs sprint speed and reduction, but with a disease resistance instead of a weapon damage bonus. Argonians are skilled thieves and assassins so perhaps we could get stealthy? Female argonians being good mages and males good warriors means we should get the dynamic racial that dunmer have.
So with a good and proper buff to argonian racials we could end up with:
Restoration expertise(unfortunatly we are stuck with it now unless we switch with imperials)
Dynamic 6% more magicka and stamina
Stealthy(same as khajiit and bosmer)
Swift warrior(same as orcs but with our current disease resistance)
Yeah they still aren't the best racials ever and I know I just copy pasted existing ones, but they still make far more sense for the race. Obviously zos could look at the numbers better and figure out what would make us more competitive in this game, but this time with real argonian stats and not made up on the spot ones.

Two questions
While using merciless resolve is it actually active for 20 seconds? So during the 20 seconds I can use the effect multiple times not just once?
Also is there any really good builds I can use this with on my dual wield build bar to do a good job other then just single target attacks for things such as public dungeons?

Anyone know what style is the archer in blue (2'nd from the right) wearing? Or what unique set is it? Someone said it's not ingame yet and coming with DB, but I'm pretty sure I've seen it ingame. Also what's the style of the daggers the guy in the middle using? Thank you.

Any news about shield stacking changes ? I really hope they cancel cast time ideas !
Like i said, it is a really bad move to change shield stacking in this way, if so it will really kill sorcerers in PVP. There are many other better methods than add cast time to solve this or even ZOS can leave shields in current situation IMO.
Sorcerers already got many hits( nerfs) in recent patch, eg battle spirit, new CP passive to hurt shields and shields breaker set. Moreover since damage stacking is the meta right now , sorcerers' shield is easy to break especially with those nerfs i mentioned above.
I really hope ZOS think about changing shield stacking carefully in DB DLC, otherwise the next DLC will be the 'rage quit day' for sorcerers.

THE ELITISTS IN THIS GAME ARE TERRIBLE (BOTH PvE AND PvP)
seriously, there are v16 elitists that will use the dungeon finder to find a group, and then when they get the group if they see they're playing with lower vet ranks they immediately leave.
and in pvp, i was able to instantly find a group in the non-vet pvp lobby. it was just type "lfg" in zone chat and you got a group. now since i'm a vet rank when i go into a pvp lobby and type "lfg" i never find a group. i even call the elitists out on it like "hrey cmon elitists can i joinz a group???" and they reply "lol, no. git gud" and stuff like that. so i know it isn't just a lack of groups in pvp, but purposeful exclusion. opinions.

Grouping Tool Question - Intended feature or bug?
Apologies if this is already addressed or answered elsewhere.
It used to be that if, for example, a VR1 char were invited into a group while the party leader's grouping tool was active, the VR1 would be scaled to VR16, as would the rest of the party if they were not already VR16. Now, no scaling occurs unless the chars are picked up through the grouping tool, even if the leader's tool is active and they invite lower-ranked chars.
Hopefully that makes sense. Is this working as intended or is it a bug?

Magicka Templar needs a "fire and forget" Major Sorcery class buff.
Part of why the class was always lacking and why balance is still an issue.
Magicka Templar gets... NOTHING?
The only option Magicka Templar has is to slot Entropy from Mages Guild, which requires a target (so to be in combat) to activate, and is useless as part of any normal build.
Thus, Magicka Templar is the only class/spec that has to waste a useless slot on their bar and windup time in combat just to toggle a 20% buff that every other class in the game gets passively.
This has the result of making combat rather clunky as every other class and spec "flow" into the buff. Templar has to pause, apply, micromanage. It is tedious and immersion-breaking.
SUGGESTION
Make using Rushed Ceremony or its morphs grant the Major Sorcery buff for 20-33 seconds.
This would be on par cost and functionality-wise with the Sorcerer Power Surge and Stamina user Rally toggle.
Heal and a buff.
Thanks for reading!
- Stamina weapon users can slot 2H on their backbar and simply activate one long lasting ability (Rally) out of combat to get their 20% damage increase as well as a powerful heal ability.
- Sorcerer simply activates Power Surge to get their 20% damage buff, again out of combat. This also grants the Sorcerer a powerful passive healing on critical hits.
- Dragon Knight gets Molten Weapons to gain the 20% damage buff, again out of combat. This also buffs the group, can be morphed to either Stamina or Magicka, and can be morphed to increase weapon attacks as well.
- Nightblade get the class AOE Sap Essence (stamina morph also) which lets them apply the 20% buff as part of their normal AOE rotation. The Magicka morph also heals you and your party.
