I started around the time it was removed so I never got to see what it was like, doesn't seem like anyone even wanted it removed.
Doesn't that pretty much make heavy armor boderline useless in pvp atleast since it's passives are kind of niche?

Hello, to all the ESO enthusiasts. We are the Ebon Raiders. Based in the PS4 Na Server and are loyal to The Ebonheart Pact.
We are looking for people for both PvE and PvP content. For PvE we have no preference for whether you are of AD or DC desent as next patch group cross Alliance will be easier. Meanwhile in PvP, we would like to stay with our Alliance, however, if we cannot friendly dueling with be replaced or temporarily substituted with large scale PvP. We will even aid those newer with the game by crafting armor/weapons, or even spending an hour help them acquire hard to obtain skyshards in Cyrodiil or if abled in the PvE areas.
We have 50+ active members and currently in possession of a Guild Trader. We are also beginning to host weekly events for all to join in. This weekend, my guild is preparing to get a group to run the new trial in Reaper's March. If you are interested in joining this event you can either join the guild or do a run with us and then decide whether or not you want to join.

Make materials such as wood, ore, enchanting stones and ingredients NOT take bank space

Now lets be honest here, we all like finding materials to craft new powerful items. But lets all agree that we hate it when our bank gets full with a bunch of crafting items and we're forced to carry that some of that stuff, which in turn takes up our inventory space, just as much as it takes so much bank space.

Now I know that we can upgrade the space in our inventory and bank, but just think about it, those upgrades are expensive and they get increasingly MORE expensive the more you upgrade. It's awfully time consuming and it just makes me wish I could spend that gold on something that's more important than just inventory and bank space.

Zenimax, please read this and think about this decision. I honestly hate how fast it is to fill up my bank space. Especially since there's all different kinds of enchanting runes that can REALLY take up that space too. I have so many runes in my bank, that it's almost impossible to leave some space in my bank and I hate carrying that stuff in my inventory too.

5000 Crowns for the upcoming assistants. Worth it ? ^^

I thought the thieves guild update was going to convert all the Cadwell zones to VT16 (auto level) zones, that could be done in any order. Did i miss hear this?

Okay, let's face it, the game is a mess. I've stood behind the devs for a long time now, even after getting screwed out of transferring my character to xbox one. I'm afraid however that I'm just about done and am starting to ask myself why anyone plays their game.

First, ever since the latest update I've had nearly an impossible time getting into a group with the activity finder tool. There's no reason why I have to wait two hours while qued as a healer. What is going on with this? This is a simple tool that no other mmo developers seem to have a problem with. Second, I have had several friends who have to go through allot just to get their crown points from subscribing. How could you have this issue? Third, there are several problems with crashing and logging in.

This is becoming downright unacceptable and I was just curious if anyone knows what they're doing to resolve these issues or if they're even aware. If this information is easily accessible I aplogize in advance and would appreciate the guidance.

I just think players deserve a progress report (especially on the group finder). I mean, some people pay for this game monthly and at the rate this game is going, players are going to abandon it and hop on the next available console mmo in a heartbeat. Thanks in advance for any help given.

Alchemical acceleration enchantment bug

I enchanted 3 willpower rings with legendary truly superb glyphs of potion speed...and they don't work, not one second trimmed off the cooldown. Now I have 3 very expensive pieces of equipment that do not work as intended. Anyone else experiencing this bug?

Needless to say, I'm pretty frustrated. Do I wait for ZOS to fix it or waste another 3 kutas on different enchantments?

@ZOS_GinaBruno is this a known bug or new?

I don't know if it's the same bug or not, but Shuffle has been broken for months. This is being used by almost every Stam build and needs to be fixed ASAP. Against some players, I am missing 5 concealed weapons in a row -- even from cloak; they are not being roll dodged.

Tried a level 17 quest...could not best the frost trolls. Far as I know it's a solo quest. I'm at level 24.

Suppose I need to make some flame weapons? I'd have to redo all my armour and weapons..... Serious mismatch......

So apparently it's *POSSIBLE* to get gold jewellery, but as usual the RNG rules make the likelihood of getting them craptacular - like the stuff that you actually get.

If you want gold jewlery, you'd be better served by spending your time farming gold in PvE, then buying it from someone who is favoured by the RNG gods/daedra/gremlins.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Why do we even try for top 2% of leader board? For up to 5 gold upgrade mats (probably only 3-4 due to chance when deconstructing) I could farm mats in PvE for a few minutes. This is something we discussed at EVERY SINGLE meeting that EVERY SINGLE guild that PvPs had with you guys FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS. I'm not going to rant about this again. I'm just so disappointed in how far the PvP component of this game has fallen..

Dear devs,


it's become quite obvious that on the one hand the group finder tool is currently not doing a good job at matching the right people to give them the grouping experience they are queuing for in the first place and on the other hand it's currently too easy to abuse the group finder tool in it's current implemented form in order to:

1. Keep quitting the group and rejoin until they get the exact dungeon they want and still get the random reward, which eventually ruins the experience for everyone
2. As a group leader, keep on kicking people until your group is filled with only V16 people
3. As a group leader, keep on kicking people until you get the desired classes or combinations
4. ...

So instead of spilling our guts and litter the forums (even more) with useless negativism, let's give the devs some proper suggestions and constructive thoughts/comments about it and Remember: The less useless junk posts in this thread the more likely devs will actually keep reading through it to get good ideas and turn them into code...so here go my practical suggestions for the group finder tool:

1. More qeueing options to make the right soft of people meet up with each other. Divide the random vet system into more specific pools other than only "random vet dungeon". At least a "Random T1 vet dungeon V16+" and "Random T2 vet dungeon V16+" queue should be added where vCOA, vWGT, vICP would be T2 (tier 2) dungeons. Perhaps even a "specific elite achievment dungeon" where you would need to meet serious requirements like having completed all veteran dungeons at least once, have minimum 300cp,... so that people looking to hook up with other random people for a speed run, no death run or other achievments could find possible matches. This is to avoid all the group leaving and kicking because of the group finder matching the wrong people

2. You must meet specific role-related checks when queuing for a specific role. E.g If you press the queue button for "Random vet dungeon V16+" as tank but the system detects you don't have the minimum required physical and magical defenses and healthpool present, you should get a clear message stating what requirements you failed to meet. Especially since the game has becomes so overdependent on dps, people queuing as dps should definately need to meet a serious check before being allowed into veteran dungeons at all because even if their gear allows for high dps, their skill can completely kill their dps. Right now every half-healer or -dps is queing as tank just to get a group fast

3. AFTER and only AFTER number 1 and 2 are implemented: The group finder needs to place a tar-pitting discouraging timer on players leaving groups that prevents them from joining that queue again until the timer has expired. That means: if you leave a full group you can`t rejoin the queue for 5 minutes (10 on second leave, 15 on third and subsequent) or until that dungeon is left by everyone or completed. That would make people think twice before leaving a group and leaving. Needless to say, if this is implemented before number 1 and 2 are fixed, this would leave people with the only left option and that is not using the group finder tool at all anymore so very careful with this one...

4. Kicking people should pop-up a vote that -if the vote passes- leads to autokick so that 1 person could not kick people just because he's group leader just because he started the group or automatically became leader because someone else had a DC. Less crucial issue but still important for completeness sake

5. Kicked people shouldn't be given a full minute before they are removed. 15 seconds should be nice enough for them to collect whatever loot they still wanted to pick up before being teleported out. Right now we see too many complaints from new replacement players telling the group: "instance full", "I can't teleport in"

6. Being autojoined for a group shouldn't teleport you in after 1 minute automatically but rather manually only. It should do the same as for pvp: Give you a 30-60sec timer to teleport in or be removed from the queue because you lost your chance. This solves the current problem of lots of DPS having queued as dps for a long time only to go afk eventually and stop caring. The group inside the dungeon then first gets no reply from that person, only to see him appear in the dungeon and eventually have to come to the conclusion that the guy has been -and still is- AFK and doesn't even realize the system teleported him inside the dungeon :)


ps: All of this has been done before and was proven to work succesfully for years in a row in another mmo...plz don't try to reinvent the wheel on these basics, save the innovating creatism for what makes this game stand out after the basics are working properly ;)

Since @ZOS_JasonBarnes mentioned that ZOS were looking at heist feedback, I thought I might as well give my suggestions. I am doubting that there is much incentive for ZOS to make any significant changes to heists, as they can't charge for it - but given that Dark Brotherhood is also coming out soon, improvements to stealth in general may be possible. So here we go:

Hiding Places:
- This is mainly aesthetics - but apart from in the trailer, i've never seen anything other than a basket to hide in. Why do the guys in the daedric ruin have the same baskets as the guys in the sewer? Sure, you know what to look for, but it gets a bit boring hiding in the same thing over and over again.
- It's kind of silly that you can be right next to an enemy who is chasing you, but when you jump in, they forget you were ever there. My suggestion is that if you are still in the detection radius of an enemy, you cannot use a hiding place. You need to outrun the enemy, and then hide for them to forget you.]
- Hiding places should be added to cities all over tamriel.

Detection Range:
- I'd like to be able to see the detection range of a normal guard, in the same way as a lantern guard. This should apply to all guards across tamriel, when in sneak mode - as I think the lantern thing does already? If not, this should also be applied across Tamriel.
- This ability SHOULD NOT BE STANDARD. It should be part of the Dark Brotherhood Skill Tree. a new passive - "Perception" with multiple levels. Each level reveals new things in sneakmode. 1 - Traps now glow (red) in sneak mode. 2- Guard detection ranges are visibile in sneak mode. 3- Guard Line Of Sight is now visible in sneak mode. (I imagine this to be a filled in segment of the circle shoing the detection range).

Guards
- Guards should be hard to kill, not impossible to kill. They should have a respawn rate of 0s, But it should be a "From the guardhouse" respawn, rather than on the spot. This gives players chance to get away.
- The Guards in Abah's Landing in particular need a longer cooldown on their crowd control. If you get their attention, it is almost certain death with incredibly little chance of fleeing, and no chance of fighting back (Abilities silenced, plus invincible, plus apparently not affected by crowd control).
- Also guards chasing another player shouldn't affect me when they crowd control! (I think I heard that his is already being worked on though. )

Heists:
- Longer time for heists where you have to find things which don't have a location on the map. E.g. Collecting the gems.
- Nothing should reduce remaining time. Why, realistically, would being detected reduce the time until the Heist Master meets the Buyer?
- Maybe re-look at some of the guard paths. Sometimes you can be trapped in between to lanterns walking towards ou, with nowhere to go, and they ultimately meet and detect you and there is nohing you can do about it. Dieing because you made a mistake is one thing - dieing because you had no other choice is not fun.
- Reward should be worked out as follows:

Base Reward for stealing required items
minus penalty for being late
minus penalty for being detected (Only one penalty, even if detected multiple times)
minus penalty per enemy killed (It's messy, not the thieves guild way!)
plus bonus for stealing some other, non-required unique item. Several possible items unique to each dungeon, but only one per instance. Paintings, Vases etc that can reuse existing assets but be stealable.

I think that's it for now... I don't actually expect many of these changes to be made, But i'd like to see them...

Hughe of the Purple Robes (Character Story)

High Rock fared relatively well during the long interregnum following the fall of the Second Empire in the Second Era

Hughe was born in High Rock, to a wealthy family with strong ties to nobility. He was sickly, and showed more desire to read books and do math than to work the fields and insure his family name stayed strong. It mattered little to his mother, Muriele, who had two other sons that would carry on the name in the similar manner of their father. She shielded him from his brothers as much as she could, and they respected her enough to keep their hands off her youngest child. Of course that only added to their dislike of him, and caused a jealousy that teetered on hate.
Hughe's father, Birane Yvienne, had little use for him, as Hughe could barely remember the two ever really speaking more than two sentences at a time to one another. His interest in the stars and in how nature truly worked was of little interest to a farmer who made his wealth by the callouses on his hands, the sweat on his brow, and the strength of his back. Sure, knowing how the seed grew and what it needed to grow was of good use, but the make up of the plant itself mattered only to sissy mages and the lazy philosophers. He once heard his father explaining to his mother that he loved Hughe far more than she, and refused to allow him to grow up so weak and helpless. He blamed her for what Hughe was becoming, something Hughe did not understand at the time.
He remembered her sobs, and how his father made no attempt to comfort her.

Hughe was ten and the year was 572, when Hughe first heard the name Ada'Soom Dir-Kamal, The King Among Demons. His father was going on about how magic created such creatures and that was all that it was good for. Hughe said little, as he ate his meal. His brothers were joking about something among themselves, paying very little attention to any of it.
"They come from across the seas, not the Abyss," his mother said.
Hughe's father eyed her a moment, and looked ready to toss his plate of food at her, before he calmed back down. He was not a man that enjoyed being corrected.
"You know your problem? You know too much about magic," he responded, as the table got really quiet. "You know too much about magic, and you are trying to turn this boy here into a demon calling Abyss loving mage like your father!"
Hughe's mother looked to her sons at the table, a bit shocked that he had said such. Hughe and his brothers were shocked as well, as they never heard anything about their mother's father.
It was then Hughe realized his father meant him, when he said "this boy".
"None of your sons are going to be mages," she said low, but then looked her husband in the eye. "You dear, are the only one putting such in any of their minds."
"You boys may as well know what stock your mother comes from, in case it tries to rear it's ugly head in this house," Birane said, a smile coming to his lips.
Muriele looked shocked at first, then her own eyes narrowed, as if daring the man to go on.
Of course Hughe's father would not let a woman keep him silent.
"Reachmen, that is where she comes from. I saved her from those witches and how does she repay me? See how she acts to me boys? Your mum is a reminder to never fall for a savage, and keep your line pure."
Muriele slowly got up, never looking to her husband or her boys, and left the room.
"Go join your mum, boy," Birane told Hughe.
As Hughe left the room, he heard Birane explaining to his brothers that Muriele was not really their mother, and he was sorry he ever brought the curse into their family home.
