Suggestion to Players' concerns about Staff Spell Damage being subpar to elsewhat

I happened to compare Staves to Metal Weapons and noticed Staves have the same Damage Stat as One-Handed Weapons despite being Two-Handed themselves. Perhaps Zenimax could make Staves have the same Damage Stat as Two-Handed Weapons? Also do the same for the Bow if it is in the same boat (not sure if it is or not didn't check it at the time lol). After all, it is only logical for Staves to be treated like Two-Handed Weapons if they are going to be just that.

Cyrodiil Is AD's Playground Now (PS4)

I just wanted to let you guys (ZOS) know that we (AD) thank you for making Azura's Star a non-CP campaign, and causing people from there to migrate to Haderus (AD stomping ground). Because of you doing this, we know can mash and smash DC and EP out even further, as proven by our scores since the TG update.

As is, we (AD) have been a force to be reckoned with when it comes to PVP, but because of your shift... It's just overkill now. And it's to the point that we are in the process of planning invasions of the other faction's (base) campaigns, just to mash them out even further and lower their morale. And with vicious death being a magicka-based set primarily, and AD having the best magicka users... Well... You get the idea. So yeah, I just wanted to say thanks to ZOS for this decision on behalf of my AD guild and the numerous AD guilds across ESO who PVP.

Oh, and one last thing. To those who've been curious about the "conspiracies" of there being a guild of emperors who farm emperor, and control the campaigns? Yes. This is a very much so a real thing, and their primarily AD.

When will Akaviri and Ancient Orc hit the crown shop?

Mercenary did...and after I spent a ton ingame (both time and gold) to get the Glass and Xivkyn motifs, only to have them dropped into the crown shop a few weeks later, I'm not about to repeat that debacle...

...so when will I be able to spend these 15k crowns I have saved up on the motifs I want?

Vicious death nerf?

To nerf the Vicious Set - I don't mind the mechanics of this set, but it's not right to work really hard as a group to get to the entrance of the inner keep and then get blown away by 2-3 magicka nightblades with proxy-det. This set, the way it is, has just become too overpowered. It's literally a joke. It's making me lose interest in large battles.

TG mats stay same price AND go down. huh?

For some reason, stacks of silk, rubedite and rubedo aren't going for no more than 10k now....which is fine for me. It's so easy to pick up now that it shouldn't cost much at all.

It used to be between 35-45k here on NA PS4.

However, it appears that gold mats such as Alloy, wax and Rosin have either stayed the same prices or even spiked.

Why?

I'm farming level 10 mats probably 4 times the rate pre DLC and yet yellow mats stay same or even higher price? Doesn't make sense.

Sure they are still a pain in the butt to acquire, but those who farm and then refine their raw mats, should be recieiving yellow mats at 4 times the speed than they usually do.

Alloys are still 11-12k, Wax is averaging 6k(used to be 4k) and Rosin is all over the place 6-8k (Used to be 3,500).

Now granted, the DLC JUST came out, so I expected some influctuations within the market. But I just don't get how it's justified.

Pre DLC(TG), the majority of my money was selling silk and now nobody wants it. They're focused on their Vicious Death sets or something else that is new.

At what point can we see players flocking back to crafting sets and gathering mats instead of drop sets again?
I don't mind the heavy price drop in mat stacks, I just don't get A. Why yellow mats stay the same and B. when players will come back to needing mats again.

ESO should be more religious friendly (INFIDELS AND PORK)

hi. i like playing ESO as it has some good combat and a lot to do in it. however, there are a lot of things in the game i'm not able to do because it goes against my religion. now, i'm not saying for ESO to change anything they currently have, just for the future make more things religiously friendly for us that do have a strict religion.

1. ESO currently has it very hard for me to be able to find a good group. this is because currently there are too many infidels running around. currently i can only group with female characters that dress like this;
N6zRTk1.png however, this makes grouping difficult because there are not many females that run in this type of clothing. suggestion: add more female costumes and clothing with a mask veil. thank you :)

2. at the moment when i try to do a dungeon run i find it very hard to buff up. this is because in ESO in order to get certain stats boosts from food/drinks you often need to eat a food that involves pork or a drink that involves alcohol. for example; GSLodB6.png this can also be easily remmedied in the future. suggestion: add more vegan food styles and non-alcoholic beverages to pick from in the game.

thank you all for hearing me out and i hope to see more religiously friendly content in the game. be sure to hit the agree button if you agree and comment your opinions on this. lastly, and this is important, DON'T INSULT EACH OTHER. this is supposed to be a friendly forum with constructive conversation to discuss and improve the game, and i don't like to see my threads closed because of people insulting each other like what happened to my last thread. thank you :)

In defense of the Cyrodiil ganker

$

Hello,
A review of the forums finds that sentiment is widely against ganking, and that ganking has few defenders. I think there is value in putting out a post that will at least expose others to a different perspective, one that is not widely encountered and that may add some context.
Main points:
1) It is often of real and practical strategic value
2) Evidence indicates it is not an exploit
3) It's quite a lot of fun
4) To blame the ganker solely for an inconvenience experienced, or expect a consistently different type of fight, is willfully naive

1) It is often of real and significant strategic value
I myself nearly always gank solo or in a small group in Cyrodiil, along routes traveled by my enemies as if they were reinforcing my enemies in a large scale fight. An example is the bridge between Alessia and Sejanus when there is a fight at either one of those locations, and a location is flagged. Strategically and practically my picking off enemy reinforcements is of great help to my alliance, and translates well into any real-world warfare context. To not do this, in fact, would be negligent. An alliance should not be expected not to do it because it makes another side sad. Compare to trolling repairs, NB siege harassment, and bait-and-rush farming for context.

2) Evidence indicates it is not an exploit
Traveling the fast way in ESO, i.e. by mount, does make you more vulnerable. This vulnerability can however be mitigated by increasing mount stamina, and not exhausting your mount while fast traveling. That the fast-travel on your way to a fight with my allies makes you more vulnerable is very logical, and is a trade-off. Getting knocked off your mount meaning a stun in Cyrodiil cannot be an accident. It is part of the trade off, is intentional and logical, and is not an exploit. You are free not to ride, keep your ride high in stamina, and improve your mount.

3) It's quite a lot of fun
Isn't that why we all play? Someone loses each time in PVP. Losses are often, though not always, more spectacular in ganking, and so less fun for 1 party, but quite a rush for the ganker. It's not to cause you grief, make you rage-quit or sad. No one ganks just to be mean, wouldn't they rather be off punching kittens? We're having a very good time, and typically without ill will. There is never something personal in ganking for me, and probably for most gankers.

4) To blame the ganker solely for an inconvenience experienced, or expect a consistently different type of fight, is willfully naive
I as a solo ganker succeed in about half of 1v1 encounters. Typically when I do succeed I am encountering enemies that are vampires and getting a big boost from camo hunter, and they are in less than heavy armor. If you ride such a character in active areas you are taking enormous risk and you know it. You're making a bet on faster travel to aide your allies (and to kill mine) vs higher risk of death en route. You have made deliberate, specific choices that contributed to your getting ganked, as evidenced by my frequent fails at ganking and subsequent squashing by other players. You can build differently, ride with allies, or travel more slowly. You have choices. If you make a bet you are sure to lose sometimes, don't blame the house. You also cannot expect such dramatically different classes in this game to have 1v1 dueling-type matches based on distorted principles of fairness. Burst NBs are not a match for many DK builds for example, they have different roles. Attacking the enemy on their terms when they are expecting it is insane, and for you to expect to be handed this type of encounter is ridiculous. Often my enemy's idea of dueling or a fair fight is more often "come fight me where I see you coming at me and can use all my build advantages, to the detriment of yours." Not logical, and not fair, even as my enemy often envisions fairness.

Some points of context also:
People in your alliance gank too, probably just as many as on the other alliances.
Your gankers have been ganked. Innumerable times. Everyone knows what it's like.
_____________
A personal code of conduct might also be worth putting out there. Not everyone will follow, but if people know that I strive to, and a few others consider it, who knows what could happen.

a) I will not tea-bag your body or hate-whisper, even if you've to me previously. I will practice sportsmanship to try to serve as your example. I will conduct myself in a manner I would like my enemy to conduct themselves.

b) I will not preferentially target low-level or inexperienced (i.e. low-alliance rank) players. They do not however get an entirely free pass. In contrast, those experienced players, who have been ganked and come the same way in the same manner, racing off to fight my allies on a keep fight, will again be bursted down. You should have learned something, and I will not spare you, so that you can kill my friends, just because you want it to go your way.

c) I will not camp quest-givers or dungeons, though if I accidentally encounter an enemy there they will not be spared, as I would not be.

d) When I gank-fail I will often in a friendly and good-spirited way congratulate the victor and comment on something they seem to do very well.

___________________
I dedicate this lengthy work to my victims/fellow players. Good luck, and on some level I hope that you continue to surprise me and make me fail often.

Nerf Radiant Discussion

Yes, I never thought it possible but we need a nerf to this ability. No, I do not hate Templars but this ability is just way to overpowered. Now that we can see damage NOTHING in game kills me faster. If they use dark flare first it is ridiculous. This doesn't require a discussion. It is math.

Fix it ESO. The change would be simple. Just nerf the damage. Why? Because hit hits ridiculously hard. Harder then any other ability in the game. It is not balanced. It is broken. This ability needs to be nerfed by a hot fix. Like immediately. Nerf Radiant destruction.

MEMENTO Issues, a request and possible solutions.

$

To the fine folks at ZOS...

I would like to ask you to revisit what you did with what are now called mementos.

before, the ones of them that were useful, like say the Almalexia lantern, could be slotted into the quickslot items. that meant they were, you know, able to be used in a pinch.

Now, with them under collections, it takes more than a few clicks and losing half the screen to get to them. So net result, the ones that used to be functional and still retain the abilities are really not practical in a tactical situation.

Can you do something such as adding an "add to quickslot bar" option under specific collections or maybe allowing a hot key to be assigned under controls for firing off a pre-selected memento?

Thanks for your efforts in the game so far and i am looking forward to your replies.

Keep up the good work.

[Reddit] Matt Firor claims "dramatic" PvP lag fix incoming

This [reducing the lag in Cyrodiil] is our #1 PvP-focused dev effort right now. As an active (but really terrible) PvP player, I too run into this problem far too often. It's a complicated one with lots of different factors joining together to degrade performance - i.e. it's not easy, which explains why we haven't addressed it yet. We are working on a fix now involving our physics engine, and we're confident that we can dramatically improve performance, but that's the kind of thing that can introduce new problems if not done properly, so we are being very careful and not rushing it. You should hear a lot more about this after the dust settles from Osrinium launch.
Link for those who want it.

Good thing I decided to sift through random stuff on Reddit, or I'd never have seen this, I'm gona go out on a crazy limb and guess most ppl haven't seen this either. What with Reddit not being an official ESO forum and all...

Edit:
ZOS_MattF 15 points 3 days ago
64 Bit client is planned for the Q1 Update (i.e. the next big one). Mac users will see dramatic performance increase when we do this, as well as 64-but windows users. My main gaming machine is Windows, but I'm on the road enough with my Macbook Pro 13 retina that I definitely know what you are talking about.

Annnnd more.
ZOS_RichLambert 7 points 3 days ago
Improving the PvP experience is definitely a priority. Our focus currently is improving the server performance. We're also working on some new things to spend AP on as well as adding some new things to Cyrodiil.

Edit 3:
Why don't they just post this stuff on the forums?
ZOS_JaredCarr 7 points 3 days ago
We are currently optimizing our DX11 code, and working on other graphics optimizations that we hope to have wrapped up early 2016. Once that work is complete we will be looking more closely at DX12 support, but I can't make any promises at this stage.

Sweet and simple. Need I explain the reason behind this poll? Any sane person would think not. Discuss.

Wrecking blow, insult to injury.

I have noticed that of all the abilities that kill me in cyrodiil, the only one that actually bothers me is wrecking blow. Not only does it do massive damage to a distracted nightblade, it also has an animation that resembles getting slapped upside the head (with a broadsword). Am I alone in this or is the shame of being backhanded hurt worse that the actual attack?

Bank Assistant - No access to Guild bank!!!

$

So, I thought the 5,000 for a Bank Assistant was a bit pricy, but what the hell, the convenience is good and I bought crowns in the sale. I was expecting access to both my bank and guild banks... I pulled out the assistant to check what he looked like and have litterally just discovered that he only provides access to your bank, NOT any guild banks. So if you are like me and use a guild bank to store those veteran 16 drops for deconstruction on a crafter, this banker wil not help you. Suffice to say, I am feeling pretty ripped off right now after just paying 5,000. If I could ask for a refund I would!

Is there any chance you will add access to guild banks ZOS?

What does the community feel about this?

its not the first time they have done a ban so stupidly before, like the time they banned germantrocity over his Toon name,
Im actually so angry to think ZOS would ban someone when there trying to go to them for help? and i have alot of friends to back me up on this
this is stupid zos and yous will be hearing alot more from me!
