PSA... They are taking down the whole game on Wednesday

According to the banner, all (Live?) megaservers in all geographies are being taken offline at 2 am ET on Wednesday.

This is the first time that I can think of where they have done them all at the same time, along with the account and store. Wonder what's up?

So what am I supposed to do with collectables & trophies? Can't store them in my bank or at my home? Can't sell it or use it...

Do you think we will ever see The Night Mother or Sithis in this game?

Sorcerer PvP Critique

So I have a MagSorc that I finally finished for PvP. I wanted to shy away from the Shacklebreaker for some "trickier" play.

I run this
5x Elegance (3 armor, infused inferno staff)
5x Lich (3 armor, infused restoration staff)
1x Shadowrend
3x Willpower jewelry
All Divines
Atronach Stone

Max Magicka 42k
Magicka Recovery 1750
Spell Damage 2553

The purpose of this build is to hit the enemy with a Curse, proc frags, then go into Overload, animation cancel the Rune Prison, then hit with a frag and Overload at the same time, while they are trapped in the rune prison.

Critiques would be great :)

Suggestion about Sewers/IC and Cyrodil

@ZOS_GinaBruno

It would be nice to separate those completely forever because I login, wait 50 minutes of my life just to get into campaign and go to sewers and IC out there from Cyrodil and guess what 3 minutes later I get back to login screen... And for the record my internet is fine, other online games do not present such problems (and they got higher requirements) and here it just happens 2 much over few years. My idea and probably idea of many other players is to separate Sewers/IC districts from Cyrodil queue. Make it either a different queue or better no queue at all 'cause nothing makes players happier than wasting 1h of life to get into thing you wanna do and not being able to do it again unless you waste another 1h+. And pls do not say it is cause of the event... this was always the problem and lately servers lag a lot be it PvP or PvE.

Rune Prison “Nerf” is useless

Everyone who PvP’s knows Rune prison is broken. It is blatantly clear. Gives a sorc which is an already super bursty class the ability to pre apply a freaking curse, lingering op execute, meteor...then stun the living *** out of you (unblockable and undodgeable) and then c frag you with zero counterplay. Everyone knows the issue is not the actual damage of rune prison which somehow the game developers thought was the issue even with class reps...hmmm...THE ISSUE IS THE STUN. Also, the break free is extremely bugged with that skill as well. I’ve spammed cc break (if it was a bag magsorc and I was still alive because he didn’t time burst well) and have been left in crouch position for the full 5 seconds. It’s absurd. Magsorcs in bg’s run around miles away spamming rune prison and endless fury. And guess what, it works great. If you believe tune prison isn’t broken, you’re a magsorc that doesn’t want to see your bread and butter op stun have counter play, or you just don’t pvp often. Possible fix : revert crit frag to get its stun back. There is at least counter play to that skill.

Basic build for pvp healer

I hate pvp, I completely suck at it, so I figured bringing a healer in Cyrodiil would be the best choice if I want to be at least somewhat useful.
I understand this is a completely different game than pve, so maybe someone could give me an example of what skills could I use?
Armour-wise, I just got me 5 pieces of Seducer, and when I can craft the jewellry, 5x Kagrenac (I feel like it's better than Transmutation, considering I only se one HoT skill on my bars).

Basically, some basic build tips or something.
(and NOT ideas how I should reroll or whatever)

Conduit - Sorc Tank non-Pet Build

$

i2vOjXO.jpg
An alternative Tank Build that is fun to play and works!
This is a non-pet build centered around the self healing of crit surge and the sorcs nice cost reduction passives.

Highlights:
- Great sustain
- High mobility
- Great Survivability

gHMv1Mk.jpg

Stats with Self Buffs up on a Redguard, Ebon/Alkosh/Warden setup. Got nice stat pool and resistances (capped when lord warden procs). Attributes are highly subjective to your own preference, race, and content you're playing. Just make sure to have slightly more max stamina than magicka as usual (so that you can get stamina back from Orbs/shards while blocking). Also note the extra Spell and Weapon critical that we have easy access to thanks to both CP passives, these help proc the crit surge self healing more quickly.

SKILLS

vf5OUbW.png

Bar1 - Bound Aegis (Flex) | Pierce Armor | Boundless Storm | Heroic Slash | Crit Surge | [Barrier]
Bar2 - Ball of Lightning (Flex) | Inner Fire | Restraining Prison | Silver leash | Dark Deal | [Aggressive Horn]

Useful Skills
Bound Aegis: Nice change to this skill in Summserset, passively grants us minor Resolve/Ward. Activating the skill grants us a nice block mitigation boost for a short time, unfortunetely costs a lot of magicka though but it does reduce damage noticably. Also slotting enables the "deadric protection" passive for a nice health recovery boost. Slot this skill for very hard hitting bosses.
Pierce Armor: The bread-and-butter Taunt + armor debuff
Boundless Storm: Really nice combo buff, our source for major resolve/ward, short speed bonus, and a nice dot to increase crit Surge healing procs. Keep this up 100%
Heroic Slash: Minor maim for the enemy, minor heroism for us. Keep this up 100%
Critical Surge: The main source of healing. Expect about 1k - 1.5k constant hps on a single boss, and up to 3k-4k when adds are around, because they will proc more crits when boundless storm hits them.
Ball of Lightning (Flex): Really helpful mobility tool and gap closer, and so much fun to use.
Inner Fire: The ranged taunt
Restraining Prison: Incredible AOE root to glue add packs together after chaining them in. Also grants us Major Vitality (+30% healing) for 2s plus 1 more second for each enemy hit. The area of effect is in front of us with a relatively long range, instead of around us like the DK root.
Silver leash: Thanks to the fantastic change in Summerset, this now lets us chain in ranged adds.
Dark Deal: Restore stamina plus a big heal, but use carefully! - Block will drop while casting this, choose the time wisely!
[Ult] Agressive Warhorn: The main Ultimate to buff our group.
[Ult] Barrier: I like to have this on my front bar for the 10% extra magicka recovery from the support skill line passive, and it can sometimes be used to save the group if something goes wrong. But there are other good options, like Shield disciplin, temporal guard, or double bar Warhorn for easier access.
[Ult] Shield Disciplin: Nice Life saver
[Ult] Temporal Guard: A little bit of extra damage mitigation for the front bar

Flex spot alternatives:
Vigor: When we run with 3dd's and don't get enough healing
Empowered Ward: Grants group Minor Intellect and enables the "deadric protection" passive for a health recovery boost.
Defensive Posture: Reflect projectiles + tiny block cost and mitigation buff
Sanguine Altar: Nice little heal over time with a long duration, plus healing synergy for group members
Energy Orb: Great heal over time plus resource synergy for group members
Elemental Drain: (requires Ice staff on back bar!) For when you have no healer and 3 extremely spoilt DD's who refuse to slot it themselves.

Important Passives:
Deadric Summoning:
Power Stone: 15% Ult cost reduction
Deadric Protection: 20% Health (and stam) recovery if we slot an ability from this tree
Dark Magic:
Unholy Knowledge: 5% cost reduction
Blood Magic: 10% heal when we hit something with Restraining Prison
Persistence: 15% cost reduction for the next skill after blocking an attack. If done carefully and not spamming skills to much, you can basically get this cost reduction on every skill you cast. It is an incredibly powerful tanking passive on the sorc.
Storm Calling:
Capacitor: 10% Magicka Recovery
Implosion: This actually scales with max Health, of which we have plenty, so we will deal a nice little bit of extra damage in execute phase

GEAR

iBUxbKe.jpg
I personally prefer a 6 Heavy setup with the waist medium/light, It's a good combination of passives without sacrificing much resistances.
Food: Tri-stat (withered tree inn etc)
Mundus: Atronach
Of course there are other useful options such as the Lord if more HP is needed or Steed for HP recovery. The Thief is another interesting option as it will slightly improve the average rate of crit surge heal procs and heal crits.

Gear explanation:
Ebon: Still the Bread-and-Butter tanking group support, been this for the last 5million years or so.
Alkosh: The stam DD set that ended up being the unrivaled BIS tanking deduff set for what feels like half an eternity. Works particularly well on the SorcTank as the crit bonus adds a tiny contribution to our surge self healing.
Jorvulds Guidance: Really cool sustain/support set. Makes our life easy by extending many of our buffs and providing nice magicka sustain, helps the group by extending the Warhorn (note that it also extends the duration of the stamina and magicka boost even tho those are not official major/minor buffs yet). Use this instead of alkosh if you run dungeons with 3dd's and not enough synergies to make alkosh worth it.
Livewire: Honorary mention: it's a cool debuff set that fits thematically PERFECTLY with this build. Grants about 50% uptime on minor vulnerability and nice self healing.

Race
Argonian - potion addicted sustain miracle
Imperial - highest max resources
Redguard - great stam sustain
That said, almost all races have something useful for tanking though, Races have a less important impact on the tank role than on others i think.

The usual stuff applies here, Argonian BIS blablabla.
I want to give a honorary mention to Redguards though, because there are many Redguards stamsorcs out there already, and if any of them are reading this build and find it interresting, let me tell you the redguard does work surprisingly well for this build. I'm getting a good 100 stamina per second on average from adrenaline rush even on this build, its a pretty good sustain help, and the 10% extra stam help as well.
Similar applies even to Altmer, the extra magic pool and regen are far from useless. In fact I first tried out this build by repurpusing my Altmer magsorc and it worked really well.

Society of Scholars - A Social Guild for TES Lore Fans [New Guild]

Hello, and welcome! I'm an avid fan of the Elder Scrolls lore and quests of ESO and rest of the Elder Scrolls franchise. I love researching and talking about this wonderfully woven tale of Tamriel, and theorizing and speculating about future updates, where and what will happen, and the like. I like to keep up-to-date on the latest datamining blogs and posts where ever I can. In-between me playing ESO and the other TES games I'll sometimes write my own fanfiction lore to expand upon the universe and tell new tales.

In short, you could say I'm pretty obsessed with this fantasy universe. I'm looking for others who share a deep interest in the lore and stories of this game - or other TES games, in the hopes of helping build a guild - or rather, a community - of like-minded people to share our many ideas and thoughts with, and share some adventures in ESO as well.

Many people play ESO for different reasons, and sometimes it can be difficult to find others who enjoy the same aspects of it as myself. There's plenty of guilds out there for those most interested in PVE, PVP, Roleplay, Trading, and other types of social guilds, but there's very few that are dedicated to and for those who love the stories and lore of the game - something that's always surprised me, given the Elder Scrolls is so richly steeped in it.

So far it's only me in the guild, so I'm mostly just presenting this idea to see if there are others who would be interested in helping build such a society. I used to lead a clan in RuneScape once with a very similar premise, back when I used to play, and it turned out to be pretty popular and has been going on for several years now. Some things I and others used to do for that clan were creating events based around generating excitement for future continuations to stories, and updates in general. Things such as scavenger hunts across the world, cryptic clue mysteries, lore trivia quizzes and tests, lore lesson meetings, some members created podcasts to talk about the lore and future updates, others wrote fanfiction stories, held writing contests. I once recorded all of the quests released at the time to aid others in an effort to compile a complete transcription of all of the quests to use a lore resource for some wikias, and a lot of other things that would take too long to list.

I'm wondering if those types of things would be appreciated for an ESO guild here, and if there's any who would be interested in helping with those sorts of things. One thing in particular that I would love is to create an environment in a guild where there's many people who would be willing to help others do quests in group dungeons at a relaxed pace, so that they can read all of the dialogue and explore the scenery, without any rush, for guild members and friends of guild members alike or anyone who knows of it. It's a big thing for me, as too often do I see many who are unable to get that experience, and are reserved to either ignoring group dungeons and trials, or never getting the chance to read anything in the quest. Of course, regular fast dungeon runs could be done as well, but the option for relaxed immersive dungeons would be there for anyone who wants it.

And of course, the main objective would be to create an environment where people feel interested and welcomed to discuss any TES lore, update theories, or fanfiction/headcanon, on top of just general everyday chats about the game itself.

If this kind of guild would interest you, send me a message in-game @Robo_Hobo, or leave a post down below!

Shields Shields Shields

Greetings everyone. well somehow i felt i had to start this post about about maybe ending sorcerer´s reign in pvp now. I´ve been playing eso for years now and i still believe it is a very good game but there are some things i really got sick of meanwhile. most important one is fighting a sorc in pvp. well some of you may laugh now others may complain but if you ever had a meeting with a hostile shield-stacker you probably know what i am talking about. i know there are many sorcs out there enjoying to be kings of battlefield not being killable and this is the point. when ever i fight a sorc i only fight shields. if you do 150.000 dmg to a sorc just hitting his shield (Hardened Ward) for 120.000 to 125.000 you recognize something is going wrong in pvp. Let me repeat it please.Dmg on SHIELD is about 120.000+ means a sorc does not even feel tickled . i never tried how far a fight would go but i guess it would end up at hitting shields for more than 1.000.000.000 dmg. (guess i do not have to note they never run out of magicka do i ) this is simply ridiculous to be honest. Either grant other light armor players the right of getting the same kind of shield or change something please. would just be fair. I know balance is not really a characteristic feature of ESO but it could be. maybe...someday...who knows. so all i hope for is anyone from ZOS is reading this and starts to think about it. i do not want this to be a post for haters or people who love insulting others. it is just my thoughts and if you like comment it but always remember. stay nice and polite. B) Enjoy the game and stay away from sorcs. keeps you alive bit longer longer in pvp B)

Login queue and load screens Suggestions.

Point 1: subscribers should have login preference. Not Cyrodiil preference or BGs preference or group finder preference, just logging into the server.

Point 2: load screens could have a mini game. Just like a quick game of memory (match two cards after they’ve been flipped face down) that maybe rewards gems. The longer the load screen, the more gems.

Yffre perserve me from the salt I am about to receive.
