So how 'bout dem bears?

With Warden bears slipping deeper into Oblivion's obscurity, the species will become critically endangered. We will see less of these magnificent beast roaming the wilds. Even fewer still will be their Slate-Grey brethren. In order to save them from extinction, I was wondering if Zenimax would be willing to turn those ferocious balls for grey cuddly fur into pets, or perhaps even a mount? This would be especially splendid with the art departments wonderful glowing design of the warden emblem carried through. So what do you think?

Dear ZoS please reconsider the bear nerf

I really like most of the changes that help out the warden class in the Murkmire update. The added changes to animal companions are great, all except the rather massive nerf to the bear. A whopping 30% dmg reduction on the bears dmg.

Do you not think that this is a bit much? In your Sept. 25th meeting notes you openly admitted that the dmg was lower than expectations even. I know the bear has to be nerfed to some extent but 30% seems a bit excessive. In my honest opinion, I feel like a max of a 15% nerf is more than sufficient for a nerf and see how that goes before slapping a rather substantial nerf right off the bat. In the initial Murkmire patch change there was no explanation or comments for the nerf. In the second Murkmire class change notes, again there was nothing said or stated about the reasoning for a significant change.

To help ease my mind and maybe give some closure to myself and others who may feel the same way, I'd love some feedback about why such a change is going into effect.

Personal "house lorebook"

Just thinking about how would be amazing just to have some pedestal with your own lorebook in the house which everyone can read and you can always edit. You know, like baldur's gate diary or stuff like that.
What do you think guys?
Or personal journal, to write your own stories and maybe... give it to someone else? Create own library of your own adventures? Well, maybe it is a little too much, but still!

...If it already exist I'm gonna feel really awkward

Only YOU can prevent Warden nerfs.

Friends, snacks, countrymen lend me your ears. It’s not for Valenwood Ear kabobs, but for these harsh Warden nerfs.

When Sorcs and Nbs get a change there are dozens of threads, tears, salt, backlash and sour backwash.

Wardens are facing tough times, and you don’t see us calling for 30% damage reduction and a 50% miss chance on your ultimates.

You don’t see us asking for your health based skills to be changed unnecessarily to a skill no one will use, not even the people who the change is supposedly “for”.

No nerfation without representation!
Feral Guardian: Decreased the damage done by the bear summoned from this ability and its morphs by approximately 30%.

Arctic Blast (morph): This morph now fires a projectile that stuns the target in addition to healing you. It requires an enemy target to cast the ability. This ability also no longer deals damage over time based on your maximum health.

Previously: Envelop yourself in winter winds, healing for 10% of Max Health instantly and an additional 2% Health every 2 seconds over 10 seconds.
Enemies in the area will take Frost Damage every 2 seconds over 10 seconds.
Deals Frost Damage to nearby enemies.

Personally I think Winter’s Revenge should be the class spammable, similar to Crystal Shards or Mages Fury.

Situational-Awareness is an End-game Trial Progression guild on PC/NA. We strive to create a helpful, positive, & fun environment for everyone in everything we do. Our goals are to build a strong group synergy so that we can clear content in the most effective way but also while having fun in a little to no drama atmosphere. We are currently seeking an Off-Tank, 1 healer & 3 dps for one of our current core groups. Experience is definitely most welcomed but if you are somewhat limited to certain trials then this is something we can potentially work with! Again we want to create a helpful, positive, fun environment while we progress towards common goals, don't be shy ! No drama here just winning, if this sounds like something you may be interested in please contact me via direct message here on discord for further details/information!
RaidTimes: Wednesdays/Sundays @7:30 est (may be flexible)
(please let me know if these times do not work for you or if you want an invite in general)
Feel free to contact me directly here if this sounds like something you are interested in and we can discuss more details!

And We Have NPCs Because?

I've long complained about this sort of thing....

Windhelm%202_zpsziaxty2r.png

And the reaction is typically dismissive anger because everyone knows the Justice System will never be implemented. That, and each person has some other issue they feel won't get attention if another one does.

Thing is this was along the vendor row in the heart of Windhelm. Plus the murderers were just standing there.

Windhelm%201_zpsmvxpscew.png

They refused to duel, of course, and when I called them cowardly wretched human filth they laughed and killed the woman to the left of them in that screenshot.

No guards.

So, apart from serving as some sort of fun or tiny little pieces of people, unnaturally developed, I wonder what purpose these NPCs serve? What are they adding to the game? Why are they there?

The Hypnotoad (Casual, leveling guild. Dungeons, battlegrounds, wbs, skyshards, and more)

Shameless Advertisement:

OBEY and join the Hypnotoad!

A place where you can find a mature, relaxed group of friends to hang out and have fun with. Zero to no drama, when at all possible.

The main focus for now will be PvE, Leveling, Normal and Vet Dungeons, and Pledges, with a sprinkling of Battlegrounds, and an eye towards Cyrodiil and Trials in the future.

This is a new guild, primarily to be there for people who haven't already been playing ESO for years and don't already know everything in the universe, but everyone is welcome. There's a lot of guilds out there that run trials, Cyrodiil, in other words end-game content, and don't seem to run much of anything else. There's a lot of people who'll say find a regular dungeon group to run with. Well, not all of us are socially adept, and feel left out of such cliques sometimes. So, I'd like this to be a place where you can learn the game and find people to do stuff together with no matter where you're at in the game. That's not to say we won't run trials, too, but I'm only just barely getting to the point where I can start running normal trials myself.

So what can you in particular find here? Dungeons, lots and lots of dungeons, and definitely some battlegrounds too. Normal dungeon runs to help people advance. (Almost) daily One Dungeon at a Time runs to learn Vet dungeons. It's good training for trials.

This is also a multi-game community, for those of you for whom one game is just not enough.

You can message @Collanaro in game for an invite, or give a shout on the discord.

You'll find the Hypnotoad's Discord at https://discord.gg/QMpE8M8

All glory to The Hypnotoad!

PS: If you're looking for an end-game, long established guild with powerful, experienced players who run vet and normal trials regularly, and have a guild house with all crafting stations and everything, and guild traders in Craglorn (currently), check out my good friends at Kitty Rainbow Dash, led by the amazing @prettpony. https://discord.gg/n6gS894 They're awesome and all kinds of fun. They also have a sister guild Killer Rainbow Dash that is primarily a trading guild, and also has a trader in Craglorn (currently). KRD2 is at the same discord as KRD1.

I run a large, active social guild aimed at being new player & advanced player friendly.
We link up frequently for general help, grinding, and the exp boost.
We have plenty of players who can help new members acquire gear.
We farm gear sets together to help everyone get what they need as well.
We do weekly PvP and PvE Events.
These Include Skyshard Hunts, Area Boss Clears, Delves, Dungeons, and Trials.
There are No weekly dues, but any donations we receive are used to help purchase the occasional guild trader, and pay for events.
We hold Raffle and Lottery events weekly.
We have crafters for all your crafting needs.
You can join up to 5 player guilds. I've always felt that new players don't have much guild access/use in most large guilds due to the end game items and players that make up the majority.
As we have a variety of levels, there is always a variety of gear/equipment to choose from to help you destroy your foes and advance your character!
We have plenty of friendly members who are always willing to answer questions and help out new players.
We currently have over 490 members and do frequently hit capacity.
Players we know have been inactive for a long time will be rotated out to make room for newer, active players.
We have an age limit of 18+

Encumbrance, is it time to have this in game?

$

I was reading a couple other threads about the speed changes which many (including myself) don't really like. So is it time for the game to maybe introduce encumbrance/speed penalties depending on which armor type your wearing?(Having nothing to do with what your carrying in inv. Lets be straight about that ) Light would be fastest and heavy the slowest. It would have to work in a way where adding speed buffs creates diminishing returns dependent on what armor your wearing, leading to a cap or sorts where everyone is relatively the same. Let's say within 10% of each other? There would still be a very slight advantage for someone in light, but nothing as it's compared to on live now with medium armor where skills become useless because they can't hit as the target moves well out of range =/ (uppercut comes to mind)

This could even be something strictly for PvP coded into battle spirit. Because let's face it, nerfing all speed the way ZoS is now, is really hurting the experience all around. When your nerfing a class skill (warden's swift) to compensate for introducing such speed into the game? Something is horribly wrong. Thoughts?.....

Are unicorns daedra?

$

Bit of a random question, but it's something I've been wondering about. We know that unicorns are native to Hircine's realm of the Hunting Grounds and only appear in Tamriel when he brings them here to hunt in new terrain. But does that mean they're a kind of daedra? Or does it mean there are creatures other than daedra which are native to Oblivion?

On a related note are there any other examples of seemingly non-daedric creatures native to Oblivion?

A question about Steam Wallet and ESO Crown packs

Before I go loading up on a steam card, can Crown packs be purchased via Steam’s ESO page using the Steam Wallet in lieu of credit card/PayPal?

This is probably common knowledge if you play through Steam but I don’t and haven’t found any discussion about this within the last two years. Just wanna make sure before I drop money

I could use some MagDK build help...

$

I have an Argonian and a Dunmer DK, ultimately, I’d like to run a Destro/Resto or S&B/Destro build for battlegrounds and open world that has enough survivabilty and sustain to 1vX groups, but also enough killing potential to not hit like a wet noodle. I’ve gone through so many build concepts and I can’t seem to find my sweet spot. Everything I’ve tried lacks in some area or the next. I’m not asking for some godlike build that’s capable of tanking and killing 20 opponents simultaneously, just something solid that can put down 3-4 targets and leave the fight with enough Magicka left to take out that pesky NB waiting around the corner. I need some help making this happen. Thoughts?

[NA][UPDATEDx2] The Nightshade Consortium ~ New Solo-Player-Oriented Guild Now Recruiting!!!

$
0
0
The Nightshade Consortium is a guild focused on and designed with the Solo Player in mind! Tired of being hassled or forced by other Guilds to Group when you'd rather just roam around in peace? Tired of forced Guild Dues used to enrich the Guildmaster? Tired of being forced to listen to the nagging chatter by having Guild Requirements that make you stay in Guild Chat when all you want is a peaceful night of ESO? Sick of other Guilds forcing the "social" aspect by requiring you to join their websites and/or Facebook pages (a personal peeve of mine...), thus taking you out of the game, and forcing you to post on third party websites in order to talk to the Guild leadership?

If you're fed up with all of that, then you need to be in The Nightshade Consortium!

As I said in the title, this is a brand new Guild, and members are needed! The Nightshade Consortium has hit the 400+ members milestone!!! And we're still accepting new members!!!

We want to be a place where Gamers in ESO can meet great new people, and take on whatever content they like with Guild members always available to do it with, at your own pace and time! To be fair, this Guild is oriented for and friendly to the Solo player, and one does not have to group if one does not want to. We won't ever hassle someone who loves a Solo/Lone Wolf play-style. So if you're a Solo player/Lone Wolf, and are only looking for rare Groups for tough content, or just a place to sell some excess junk every so often, then we can accommodate that as well. :D

The Vision for the Guild:

This is mainly a Guild that is supremely friendly to the Solo player. I want a Guild where there's enough members that players don't have to feel bad for playing Solo, but there's enough Guildies available that the Solo players can Group when they want/need to Group for whatever content they're facing. I want a Guild where the Solo players and Lone Wolves have a place to return to, to sell of their excess junk and regale the rest of us with their stories of adventure. I want a Guild with enough members that this guild becomes known as a force of nature across Tamriel. I want a Guild of casual, mature, easy-going Gamers who just want to band together so that every Guild member can have as much fun as possible while exploring all that ESO has to offer.

With you and your friends in The Nightshade Consortium, I know that we can build that Guild.

For PvP:
I want to have enough members that we can do PvP if anyone wants to, but again; this is a Guild that is actually friendly to the Solo player, where there's Guild members to group up with on those rare times that a Solo player wants/needs to have/find a Group.

For PvE:
Much the same as the PvP section, I want there to be enough of a presence that our Guild members don't ever have to use the "finder" tools to run Trials/Group Dungeons or any such nonsense. When there are enough members, I will take volunteers to be a "Trial Leaders" or "Dungeon Leaders", who will volunteer their time to lead our Guildies through the associated content. Same goes for regular Questing or Skyshard hunting. While there might not be "leaders" for Questing and/or Skyshard hunting, I do want there to be enough of a presence and population in the Guild, that no one will have to do it Solo if they don't want to. There will always be Guild Members on who can help or group with them. Again; if a player just loves going at the game Solo, that will not ever be frowned on in this Guild. We are, after all, Solo-player oriented. If you like Solo/Lone Wolf play, we won't hassle you incessantly to Group up. But again, if you just want someone or a whole Group of people to run around and Quest or go Dungeon Delving with, I want there to be plenty of Nightshade Consortium members available so that we can chill and knock out the amazing PvE content in ESO, and we can do it together.

For Trading:
THERE WILL NEVER EVER BE ANY GUILD DUES!!!! This Guild runs off of donations entirely, and off of the cut the Guild gets for what gets sold through our future Trader; the Guild Members donate according to what/where they want to see the Guild move. So please, donate freely and we can get some great stuff purchased for this Guild! Bring your friends! We have a Guild Store now so that we can sell items to our fellow Guildies, and we're taking donations so that we can hopefully hire a Guild Trader!

Most Trade Guilds run raffles on a weekly basis. This requires a ton of work on the Guild Officer running the raffle, and is not really an attractive method of Gold generation for a Guild in my opinion. Thus, unless there are many requests for a raffle, The Nightshade Consortium will not be hassling all you beautiful people to fork over your hard-fought-for Gold to fund a raffle. That's another promise I make to you! No Raffle-Hassles/Raffle-Spam-Mails! :D

*** Plus, every rank can access the items in the Guild Bank. Our Guildies deposit items that other members may need to use for research, and armor upgrade, or that Ring or Necklace that helps out a build, and all ranks are free to take whatever items they need as they need them! All we ask is that you try to replace what you take with an item of equal value, or a fair Gold donation. This is on an honor system, so we trust that the members of The Nightshade Consortium are mature enough to keep from abusing this and/or outright stealing from their fellow Guildies. ***

For the RP player:
I've kind of been toying around with setting this Guild up as a sub-sect within the Dark Brotherhood, but it's your RP. RP your characters along whatever storyline you choose, and recruit your whole RP Troupe! The more, the merrier; and you'll always be assured to have someone on to help advance your characters' stories!

Xbox LIVE Clubs
I have started a Club on Xbox LIVE for the Guild. The name is the same (The Nightshade Consortium), and all members are free to request to join. This is by no means a mandatory thing. Like the rest of the core Guild design, this is simply there if you should ever need it. But being a member of the Club on LIVE will make it easier for Guildies to group up for Group content should the need ever arrive. Any Guildie who needs some help clearing Group content in ESO would simply need to put up the "Looking for Group" in the Club, and it will pop an invite to other Guild Members who are looking for the same thing, or would be interested in tackling that particular content.

Again, the Club is not mandatory at all, just another tool available to Consortium members for when they need it. I refuse to hassle and/or spam invite for the LIVE Club, just like I refuse to spam invite or make Grouping mandatory in the Guild as a whole. This tool just makes sure that when doing Group content, you will only ever have to deal with the like-minded Solo Players that make up the entirety of our beloved Guild. ;)

Housing:
If the majority of the Guild wants to use the Guild funds to buy one of the Manors, then we will have a dedicated discussion among the members about that subject. But seeing the abysmally small Player Caps to the offered Houses, we'd have to buy 2+ Manors just to house the whole Guild, and that's not very cost-worthy for any Guild right now. So unless ZOS changes the Housing player caps, or updates the Housing to allow for full Guild Halls, The Consortium has no current plans to purchase any of the Houses offered when the Housing update hits Xbox.

But none of those ideas will ever come to fruition if you don't join! I've also extended the permissions so that every rank of The Nightshade Consortium can invite other players to join our Guild, that way we can become a refuge for as many Solo Players as possible across the Xbox One NA server in ESO!

Come to The Nightshade Consortium!!! Bring your friends!!!

Help us grow into one of the strongest Guilds in all of ESO!!!

(Leave your GT in the Comments, and I'll send you a Guild Invite! Invite will come from Vampire Nox)

*** Also: When leaving your GT for an invite, you must give me your EXACT Gamer Tag as it appears on Xbox LIVE. Otherwise the ESO invite system won't be able to find your account in order to deliver the invite! ***

"Lower the ceiling, raise the floor" has been the motto of balancing for the last year and a half at least. Guess what? The room has become so small that the floor is now looking down to the ceiling.
Skillful play and motivation to improve are so close to being dead that the only thing we need to see the end game's funeral is a couple other patches of buffing potatos and nerfing people with a pair of hands.

Make a bit of space in this room zos, we are suffocating here. Please.

I'm really upset over this warden nerfs coming, specifically the Arctic Blast ones and the Bear.. Ever since we were notified i've just got less and less interested in ESO i know my warden will be worse off and i have no interest in using other classes like i did my ICE magwardens..

I just cannot play i login run around a bit and well log off knowing in a few weeks i might be no longer playing.. Really bums me out tbh..

Anyone else feel this way?

Vampire guild looking for recruits - the Strigoi Coven is looking to expand our ranks.

Here's some vampire folklore for those who aren't familiar with what Strigoi are: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strigoi

We are a pure vampire social guild with the central intention of turning as many players into vampires as possible. We do not charge for bites, and believe that vampirism should be given freely.

Our guild is undergoing reconstruction, and are hoping to expand our membership. We are primarily a social guild, however, we pretty much do it all - PvE, PvP, crafting and the like. Our members enjoy helping new players level-up, run dungeons, kill world bosses and complete dailies. We want to help you in the game no matter what your focus is - just ask in guild chat! Although there are no formal dues, we ask that members donate what they can. We are currently working to set-up our guild store; the more we recruit, the larger our store will be!

Our guild provides a relaxed atmosphere for players who simply enjoy the game - whether it be a casual interest, or a strong passion. We like to avoid drama (isn't there enough of that in the real-world?) - so if you need a place to chill, Strigoi Coven may be the place for you. Our membership base is primarily 18+.

Interested? Leave your GT below, and I'll add you! Or, feel free to message me - my GT is MemoFromTurner.

We look forward to meeting new people, and growing our guild!

Is damage mitigation more important than ever?

$

I'm curious about your thoughts on shield proc sets and other forms of damage mitigation from a PVE perspective. For example:

Combat Physician
(2 items) Adds 1096 Max Magicka
(3 items) Adds 833 Spell Critical
(4 items) Adds 833 Spell Critical
(5 items) Critically Healing an ally grants them a 8195 Damage Shield for 8 seconds. This effect has a cooldown of 6 seconds

Brands of the Imperium
(2 items) Adds 1206 Max Health
(3 items) Adds 1206 Max Health
(4 items) Adds 4% Healing Taken
(5 items) When you take damage, you have a 10% chance to grant you and your allies within 8 meters a damage shield that absorbs 12040 damage for 6 seconds. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds

Will there be a higher demand for sets like these in Murkmire? I would think yes to a degree because these shields take on your resistances. Plus PVE enemies do not crit if IIRF. Will the shields take on your crit resistance I wonder...? Tell me what you think.
