PTS Update 20 - Feedback Thread for Housing
This is the official feedback thread for housing and the housing editor. Note this thread will be updated with specific questions for the new homes and furnishings next week when they are added to the PTS. Specific feedback that the team is looking for includes the following:
- Was the new Undo/Redo feature in the housing editor clear on how to use it?
- Were you able to use Undo/Redo effectively?
- Was the item grouping clear and easy to use?
- Did you try using item grouping with multiple people interacting with it?
- Do you have any other general feedback?

The next Chapter, Going West?
What do you all think will be the next chapter of ESO? by the beginning of next year we should have some details since there are usually 3 DLCs between chapters, so that means after Murkmire we only have one more DLC before the next chapter of ESO. Got any ideas about what it will be? I think it will have to be a Daggerfall Covenant area since Morrowind is an Ebonheart Pact area, and Summerset is an Aldmeri Dominion area. I think it would very likely be a continent or large island off west of Daggerfall, and here is where I think it will be:

Group finder is broken
Hello,
It's been a few days now -always on primetime- that the group finder system is broken.
I was hoping it would get fixed with today's maintenance... but it wasn't apparently.
So what's the deal ?
I can't seem to find any info from Zenimax anywhere on the forums, launcher, facebook, whatever. It's very frustrating.

Ayleid Ruins In Coldharbour's Estate
I wanted to use up the countless volcanic boulders I had in my Coldharbour Surreal Estate (in its previous iteration, the house consisted only of a steep hill, with a jester's coffer on top as a 'surprise' for those that made the climb
) in order to create a mountain similar to the one that can be seen in a loading screen, and then other ideas came about, so I ended up adding some ayleid ruins-reminiscent structures. The result is not very cohesive, because I ran out of slots, but the concept is supposed to be 'a bunch of ayleid ruins in a Coldharbour pocket plane'
On a side-note, I realize the dolmen would have looked better with some furniture from the Molag Bal/Coldharbour packs, but as I didn't get those, I had to make-do with other items.

"No True Bosmer" - Lore versus Gamedesign discrepancies ?
While replying to the insightful topic about cultural foods and drinks of Tamriel ( https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/435193/list-of-confirmed-food-and-drinks-for-different-races-of-tamriel ), I remembered something that bothered me for years since I roleplay a woodelf spinner girl (first as a sorc then as a warden) with a self-behavior of fundamentalism into the Green Pact. You know, thou shalt not eat plant matter, and so on!
Many quests in Valenwood fits to this lore and they suggest that most of (not-acculturated) bosmer do follow the Green Pact rules in daily life. Sometimes it even becomes serious business when the forest is angry and call for a head to roll... (remember this insane case between the khajiit supplier, the alchemist husband and the dying damsel). Apostates were sentenced to the Ooze, some of them were living as outsiders (in caves with their gardens).
So of course we are shown Bosmer NPCs who do eat plants in game lore, but they are depicted as "no true bosmer", merely ...exceptions, like those apostates in Valenwood, the "sinners by constraint", the acculturated wood elves (usually living in altmer/breton/imperial towns).
I'm not even speaking of the bosmer Player-Characters x) The rate of those who try and follow the lore rules may be low, and those who actually follow the hardcore way, even lower.
One can easily find moot points and forbearance in the Green Pact rules.
All those who follow the Pact just in Valenwood but eat/harm vegetables once elsewhere (no pun intended) in Tamriel. After all, the Green Pact only matters inside Valenwood.
And harvesting dead plant matter in Valenwood may or may not be a "sin" according to the Green Pact. So lore-wise, a bosmer woodworker is not breaking the law since all the wood in game mechanics is dead wood (logs on the soil). One could also argue that the wood that is used by your bosmer woodworking crafter is kept alive (there are shield item names that imply this, living wood) just like bosmer houses.
Now, let's keep all those exceptions aside, and look at the core / mainstream cases.
Even then, the Green Pacts is not actually followed.
Just go in any Wood Elf house or campsite in Grahtwood, Greenshade or Malabal Tor, even hostile ones.
Look at the content of the supply jars and sacks. (You can rob it also, remember the Rite of Theft.) Then check by yourself:
![vegetables-vegetables-everywhere.jpg]()
Okay then, maybe these wood elves are sinners, or hypocrites who bought this to apostates or strangers, or maybe the supplies are imported and these plants were harmed "abroad".
_
Then go and visit the most hardcore followers of the Bosmer culture, who rejected the Aldmeri Dominion laws: City of Ash (that was the Whisper Grove before its collapse).
I screenshot this on my altmer:
![carots10.png]()
CARROTS! GREENDAM CARROTS!!![ ]()
And there was quite some radish and other plants too.
I could admit the gamedesign limitation, it may be hard to design the provisioning nodes - like jars ands sacks - in these zones to pop up as only-meat or only-insect parts...
Well ...City of Ash is instanced. It should be doable.
But above all - why putting "out-of-sack" vegetables on the floor? They are clearly put here on purpose. What was the developer who put them here thinking about?![:p :p]()
Now roleplay-wise, Angelith is feeling like a disillusioned preacher among a people who doesn't follow their own culture.
Even the Whisper Grove was all fake, a daedric plot and its fools.
Y'ffre and The Green are not even able to enforce their rules.
Definitely there is no more true bosmer...
Person A: "No Bosmer puts plants on his rotmeth."
Person B: "But my uncle Anguth is a Bosmer and he puts plants on his rotmeth."
Person A: "But no true Bosmer puts plants on his rotmeth."

What I'm wondering here is ---
Is this a case of gamedesign mistake? that could be fixed?
or is this intended design to show the hypocrisy of Wood Elf culture? or the vanity of purism?
(Maybe both? X) )

All I really want is...
... the combat system from Launch.
So sorry for complaining ever about classes being strong or weak.
Remove the CP system (CraP system?)
Reimplement the soft caps
Remove the 500 nerfs put in place to replace the soft caps
Remove the crappy buff system
Give back Dynamic ult gen
Remove the mobs' snare skills ( why does every single crittur snare?)
Remove the anti-hack changes from the servers and put the calculations back onto the client side. Honestly I'd rather have some cheaters if it means a smoother game experience.
You could even leave in Vigor for the Stam NBs.
Woo - ESO: The Revolution !
Can't wait !

Sprint Bug
Anyone got any workarounds or solutions for this bug?
For those who don't know it's when you sprint in a fight and for some reason you get stuck in sprint. No skills will go off because the game thinks you are sprinting. It's a real pita, was in some big fights last week with my guild and was pretty much useless. Well, more useless than I usually am...

Farming bots - the plague
Honestly what would it take for some QA staff members at ZOS to just wander around the world looking for garbage like this and just walk up and perma-ban every bot they see? Hell I'll do it, put me on the payroll.
There's werewolf farming in Camlorn, resource bots in Stros M'Kai, the bear farming bots in Stormhaven, bots near the Deathclaw cave every time I play. Bots near Shattered Grove in Auridon also. The beginning of Rivenspire by the farm is similar. I've even started to notice trains farming along the rivers in Shadowfen. They are always in the same places, practically flaunting it.
Does ZOS doesn't want to ban all the bots because they won't have 10 million players to brag about anymore?!
So, what gives?!

Should I worry about my build?
For background. I'm an Altmer Templar. I am fairly new, and have only gotten to level 5. I have always over thought things when it comes to ES games. So far I have been putting one skill point in each attribute as I get it, and skills I just get what sounds useful. I am currently using dual wield weapons, and for now light armor. With all this in mind I need to know if I am doing things reasonable. I don't plan on doing PvP, and I mostly just got this game to quest. If there is a certain build I should aim for, how do I begin the long term preparations?

warhorn will be losing its minor toughness buff next patch i think it would be nice if the toughness loss was balanced with something useful if possible.
my ideas are as follows, feel free to add your own.
- adds major heroism for 10 seconds or
- adds mag and stam regen for the duration or
- just adds 10% health and toughness can stack on it.
