I could use some MagDK build help...

I have an Argonian and a Dunmer DK, ultimately, I’d like to run a Destro/Resto or S&B/Destro build for battlegrounds and open world that has enough survivabilty and sustain to 1vX groups, but also enough killing potential to not hit like a wet noodle. I’ve gone through so many build concepts and I can’t seem to find my sweet spot. Everything I’ve tried lacks in some area or the next. I’m not asking for some godlike build that’s capable of tanking and killing 20 opponents simultaneously, just something solid that can put down 3-4 targets and leave the fight with enough Magicka left to take out that pesky NB waiting around the corner. I need some help making this happen. Thoughts?

Witches’ Coven Furnishing Pack.

I’m looking at the items and I see a few things that are available in game out side of this pack, a few things that that aren’t.

Does anyone know the break down?

Was this pack offered last year?

Is there anything new in this pack from last year?

I know the “Hagraven Altar, Alchemical” can be purchased separately outside of the holiday from the crown store ihousing editor. but I haven’t seen “Witches’ Cauldron, Provisioning” before, or the scrying basin. But I’m pretty sure the scrying basin was in last year’s pack. Reachman cage and “Carcass, Hanging deer” were in the luxury vendor I think, but I missed the deer.

And We Have NPCs Because?

I've long complained about this sort of thing....

Windhelm%202_zpsziaxty2r.png

And the reaction is typically dismissive anger because everyone knows the Justice System will never be implemented. That, and each person has some other issue they feel won't get attention if another one does.

Thing is this was along the vendor row in the heart of Windhelm. Plus the murderers were just standing there.

Windhelm%201_zpsmvxpscew.png

They refused to duel, of course, and when I called them cowardly wretched human filth they laughed and killed the woman to the left of them in that screenshot.

No guards.

So, apart from serving as some sort of fun or tiny little pieces of people, unnaturally developed, I wonder what purpose these NPCs serve? What are they adding to the game? Why are they there?

ZOS, would you PLEASE take another look at hip flaps and 1-handed weapons?

The clipping is terrible with most armor pieces. I understand full well that clipping is going to happen in all MMOs. It's a fact of life.

But the hip flaps make it SO much worse. There's a ton of really good looks that are completely ruined by the pieces hanging off the side of the characters' waists. The front and back parts aren't so bad, because they don't interfere with weapon placement and don't mess up a characters' silhouette.

But the side flaps are just OUT of CONTROL. Will there ever be an option to toggle these things off? Heck, I'd be willing to pay crowns to make this happen at an Outfit Station.

Just my two Septims on the matter. YMMV. :)

What was your first ESO build?

Came in with Morrowind and had no idea how builds worked..still learning actually. Picked a dark elf since it reminded me of the night elves from WOW and chose the warden class because it came with the game. Ran destro/bow wearing spider cultist and silks of the sun because it made me think my flame reach would hit like a wrecking ball. Hopped into Kyne for a couple of months and proceeded to reach spam every one in sight. Made me smile the first time one of my flame reaches knocked someone off the top of a keep. Good times haha, so what was your first build?

Equalising bad and good players.

Posted this in another thread, but creating a new thread about because it was a bit off topic...

This is just some ideas for how to close the gap between good and "bad" players.

The definition of a bad player seems to be:
Someone that only uses one bar, and like light attack and skills spamming play style, especially during boss fights.

Let's face it. Not everyone is comfortable with upkeep 2 bars worth of skills dots and buffs, while staying mobile and and staying out of stupid.

The most equalising skill in game so far is Werewolf Ultimate.
Just trying out Werewolf for the first time on one of my characters yesterday I was surprised how potent this is. I was doing 30k + dps on dummy just light attacking, with some decent gear, and could stay in wolf form for the duration of the fight. I was clearing a normal dungeon solo way faster and easier than I do with any of my other characters.

As a VERY casual player I have a really hard time pushing 30k dps on a dummy on any of my characters. I REALLY suck at weapon swapping, keeping up buffs, dots and weaving, so the werewolf form was like a perfect match for me. It fit my play style like a glove. I'm surprised I never tried it before.

The whole mechanic of werewolf is quite interesting. Clicking that ultimate you opt out of using backbar, and get significant boost to your single werewolf bar in while in werewolf form.

Even if I geared up to the best of my potential, I could probably never reach dps equal to some of the best end game builds as a werewolf, but if felt REALLY good to be able to get some decent numbers without worrying too much about upkeep, dots, and weapon swapping.

But the point is. Werewolf does not fit all, in terms of Looks, and skills, mechanic.

Possible solution equalizing "bad" and good players?
What ZOS can learn from that is to come up with something similar that has a functionality similar to werewolf. Opting out of a backbar for a significant boost to your single bar is a great concept for equalising the difference in player skill, just like how werewolf works.
  • They could even try to do it as a Potion to test it. Pop the potion pre boss fight. Locks your other bar, but gives you significant boost to your current bar. Pretty easy to balance as well. If max potential while using this potion was about 75-80% of what a good player utilising both bars would do, that would be a great start.
  • Or they could try it as a 5 set bonus. 5th set piece prevents your from switching to your secondary bar but, significantly buffs your main bar. Let's say it would give you something like 1000 weapon/spell damage, or something along those lines. Not having a second bar would be a huge downside for some, but a good plus for some that has a decent 1 bar build.

Just by testing werewolf for one day, I found that this skill is a very good option for closing the gap between good and bad players, when it comes to DPS potential.

About the Frag/Spectral Bow change

Let me start by saying that I understand the purpose of the change was to allow for better counterplay. I get that and I support that. However, the fact that this animation delay prevents you from performing any following attacks for 0.3-0.5 seconds is incredibly frustrating and really kills the fun factor of these moves

My suggestion is to keep the delay, but make it so the delay has no effect your ability to perform following attacks.

It's not too terrible in PvP, but in a PvE rotation it's incredibly annoying, and the delay makes it so these abilities are a DPS loss to cast unless it's animation cancelled via weapon swap.

CP and Battlegrounds

I know many people do not like CP, but I also know that many people do like CP.

Battlegrounds have been CP enabled, and CP disabled. I've seen people angry because CP was enabled, and seen people angry because it was disabled. You can't please everyone... Or can you?

I suggest making CP a Seasonal thing in Battlegrounds. (It could change monthly, weekly, or quarterly, even every three days. It doesn't matter) The point is though, that there would be enough people to play all the time, the meta would change with CP being enabled/disabled, which would artificially increase diversity, while maintaining enough of the population to keep Battlegrounds active.

I'd like to hear what everyone else thinks. I, personally, preferred CP enabled Battlegrounds, but have since adapted to Non-CP Battlegrounds and enjoy them too.

Buff to pets in pve?

4.2.2 notes. "Combat pets will now take 0 damage while in a Dungeon, Trial, or Group Arena."

Does this mean literally zero damage and their immortality in dungeons (unless player is alive)? If yes, these are really good news. This removes half of the shield nerf problem for sorcs in pve at least.

What Khajiit form would you be?

We may never know the true, exact, lunar cycle map of Masser and Secunda, but I quite liked this fan-made created one a reddit user posted on one of my threads there, and out of curiosity, I checked to see what form I would be based on my birthday and the day of the year that is compared to this chart. It turns out I would be a Tojay-raht.

So what about you? What form would you be, according to this chart?

https://airtable.com/shrWMu02QpPorZQHY/tbluD14TxQtr2T9c9

Some of the forms have still yet to be described in lore, but here are some different interpretations from fans based on what they might look like, along with all of the other known forms.

The Skyrim modded one is my own interpretation that seems to differ from others with the tojay and tojay-raht in particular.

And, besides checking the chart and comparing it to your birthday, what form would you want to be, in-game or in real life? :P

Or, perhaps you have another idea of what the lunar cycle may be, or know of other interpretations laid out?

Should eso + craft bag be given to all in exchange for infinite space?

As we continue to gain more and more dlc new styles and traits our banks are getting more and more filled. Even for our eso + subscribers. And even for those that don’t subscribe it’s even worse. Now I am an eso + subscriber myself and even I feel that the craft bag should be available to all, however many people only subscribe for it. So I’m offering a solution. What if eso plus subscribers got the craft bag and infinite bank space? Would you accept that trade off?

Just wondering on what people thought...with the incoming shield changes it might mean less shields and more resistances...but with the sorc their burst heal is locked to a pet...it would probably benefit really anyone running light armor/magicka builds...thoughts?

History of Leaderboads:

Really upset over this upcoming patch..

I'm really upset over this warden nerfs coming, specifically the Arctic Blast ones and the Bear.. Ever since we were notified i've just got less and less interested in ESO i know my warden will be worse off and i have no interest in using other classes like i did my ICE magwardens..

I just cannot play i login run around a bit and well log off knowing in a few weeks i might be no longer playing.. Really bums me out tbh..

Anyone else feel this way?

Pumpkin Spectre and Scarecrow

I have both of these polymorphs, they are pretty awesome, but I find there are increasing numbers of people, some of my friends included, that are getting really frustrated because of the obsolete and outdated marketing ploy of only making things available for 2 days. My friend was gonna buy the Scarecrow but he refused to buy it because it was only a limited time offer... and chances are you guys may bring it back next year but he will refuse to give you money again because you'll probably make it limited again. You can't make much money off something like this because its not in the store for people to buy, and people do want it! Maybe make it rotating stock for Halloween, and make it available for ALL OF OCTOBER??? Or a daily reward for October, that would be appropriate?

Magplar PvP

So I'm still pretty new to magicka classes in PvP (old stam DK main) and I need some advice. I can get some kills but I'm WAY too squishy.

I'm currently running:
2 Skoria (heavy)
5 Spinners (chest, legs. boots, Nirnhoned inferno staff)
5 Wizard's Riposte (belt, gloves, jewelry)
2 Song of Lamae (sword and shield on back bar).

Anyone have any advice for a newbie Magplar?
