Why are MagDKs able to shut down a magblade completely?

$

So how can it be okay that a magdk is able to shut down a magblade completely by using wings?

you CANT attack them and if you do it gets reflected hurting YOURSELF while they are putting you on the defense like that they are still able to dish out HUGE dps while you cant do ANYTHING. how is that BALANCED?

Cripple a projectile? Swallow Soul a projectile??? Seriously?

Speed potion nerf added to the PTS

For a potion at maximum rank, this reduces the duration of Major Expedition from 40.6 second to 12.5 seconds, before any modifications from things such as enchantments or passives.

Am I the only one who kinda wants to cry? :dizzy: First my warden wings speed duration was sliced by more than 50% and now this. So nervous for live!!

Anguish is now useless

Now you have a 25% chance you proc a ring on the ground that explodes after 1.2 seconds causing the debuff with a 6 second cool down.

Sorry Stam, once again we don't get anything good while magicka gets two very powerful sets.

Blackrose Bow still bugged

Honoring Our Fallen Comrades

So- I was on Reddit and I saw a post about a grave stone in the middle of Auridon. Rumor has it that it was in memory of a player who died. Other people mentioned that there's other "memorials" throughout Tamriel in recognition of other players who have passed away as well (ie: a sheep in Stormhaven). Do you know of any locations? I'd like to visit them since Dia de los Muertos is coming up. It's just my way of honoring other gamers.

Please- don't mention the actual player's name, though.

Salty meats - mammoths quest

Terrible game design.

Dozens of people camping mammoth spawns. Only one can get the meat. Just know where it spawns. Lets other kill mammoths, camp the spot.

Did anyone at ZOS side ever use PTS feedback? It has been told it was a stupid grind. Now it's live. You happy?

Achievment is 150 quests btw.

[Class Rep] Templar Feedback Thread

The purpose of this thread is to give you a place to post your current top two pain points with the Templar. Our new Class Representatives will be keeping a close eye on this thread, and will utilize it to gather additional feedback for the notes they’re currently compiling for their first meeting with the Dev Team next week. Please be sure and keep your post clear and succinct, and focus more on what is currently frustrating you rather than potential solutions. Thanks!

I saw foreign people inside my house (?)

Yesterday night I was with a friend in my Twin Arches in Bangkorai. Suddenly I could see another player coming inside by the main gate. She was going around and inside the house. My friend saw also. I tried to talk to her but I only had a vague reply ab1s5ht0lwgh.png. Now I wonder if she was able to see the content of my storage chests. Apparently, nothing is missing. Does anyone had a bug like this?

As a PTS player, do you feel like your feedback is valued?

I'm hearing frustration from participants of the PTS server, concerning time invested and feedback given after testing.

I realize this is perception, and doesn't reflect the sentiments of everyone. Hence, the poll.

There are volumes of feedback given by people, but it seems that the update notes very rarely change. It seems more like an exercise in bug squishing, rather than true efforts to listen, and shift proposed changes based on the voice of this community after testing.

Perma Block / Block Casting?

What do yall think of this?

Personally, i dont think you should be able to block cast skills, especially if youre a perma block build with high damage / heals.
Since Murkmire is nerfing everything, why not nerf this?
Maybe make it if youre blocking, all heals you cast / damage you deal is decreased by 50%?

Let’s Talk Breton Passives

$

I think Bretons have a reputation for being a little underpowered compared to other races. I want to explore why, by how much, and how to fix it. Diving right in we’ll start with:

Gift of Magnus: 10% Max Magicka
This one is completely fine. Balanced compared to other similar passives, like Altmer’s 10% Mag, or Imperial and Redguard’s 10% Stam.

Spell Resistance: 3960 Spell Resistance
This is a useful defensive bonus, and with the upcoming changes to shields will be even more beneficial. For light armor builds, this works out to 7-9% reduction in incoming damage from spells. Heavy armor builds get a little more out of this one, and can see up to 12% reduced damage from spells. Since resistances are effectively increasing your survivability by this amount we can approximately compare this passive to a health bonus, like Imperial’s 12%, Argonian’s 10% or Nord’s 9%.

For incoming spells these are all on par, but Breton’s does nothing against physical attacks. For lore reasons this is a good design, but I think the magnitude should be adjusted to make up for it. Simply doubling the spell resistance to account for it only covering half of damage would be too much IMO. I would recommend only a 50% increase, to give 1980, 3960, and 5940 at ranks 1, 2, and 3. For a typical light armor user this would mean about 12% reduction in damage from spells. Another interesting comparison here would be the Nord’s damage reduction passive, which is a flat 6% to spells and physical, so this proposed buff seems balanced.

Magicka Mastery: 3% Spell Cost Reduction
This passive seems to exist so that Bretons can be a sustain race, like Redguard, Argonian, and Bosmer. However the numbers do not work out favorably. Looking first at other races, Redguard’s main sustain passive returns 158 stamina/s. Argonian’s potion passive returns
103 of all 3 resources per second (as well as a 3% Magicka bonus on the same passive).

Now Breton, in a best case scenario for this passive, a Magicka skill is cast every second, no heavy attacks, avoiding boss mechanics, and no cost reduction glyphs are used (they diminish effects of % reductions). In typical DPS rotations, this results in an average of 2000-2500 Magicka drain per second (before any % cost reductions). This means Breton’s 3% results in 60-75 Magicka/s saved. This could easily be doubled to 6% Magicka cost reduction (giving 120-150 Mag/s) and still be on par with other racial sustain passives. Even just going to 5% would go a long way toward making Breton stand out for sustain.

Overall, I think Breton’s are a well designed class. I’ve gotten to the point where I like the unique flavor this class brings, and I don’t think the solution to their shortcomings is to slap on a % magic damage increase. Some minor adjustments to the existing passives would be consistent with the lite and previous games, while making Breton more comparable to other races in effectiveness. Thanks for reading.

PVP Feedback: Remove the possibility of Tanks moving like a Benny Hill song character for minutes

$

I never seen anything like this on any other games. Ever.

Tanks are balanced (in any game) by having a massive health pool compared to other classes. This is compensated by reducing their damage output AND mobility.

I read about some mobility nerfs, but I feel it's not even near enough. I suggest including a core speed debuff on the class (Dragonknight and others), since including it on gear will make Tanks choose Medium or Light Armor.

Would you like it if (some) zones were physically scaled like Cyrodil?

$

One of the things I dislike about ESO is that the world feels too condensed. Each zone feels like an amusement park where you can see the other rides from the ride you are currently on.

You're fighting some bandits here, but just 100 yards away there is a field of zombies.. and 100 yards that way there is a mob of Spriggans. You get the idea.

The problem is that there is no feeling of exploration, no feeling of space. When you find an old abandoned ruin, its just 100 yards away from a thriving town.

Now Cyrodil... thats a zone with an epic feel, unfortunately they are using it for PVP only. But it does show that its possible.

If zones were not so condensed, the game would not feel so comically condensed with everything sitting on top of everything else.

I would love it if some of the new zones had this epic scale. To me it doesn't matter if you have to ride an extra 30-60s to get to an objective. And if zones were this big, they could do some really cool things with hidden monuments and *truly* rare things.

In WOW, I remember they had a huge zone with a truly rare boss that would path through it every several days. If you were lucky enough to down it you got a dragon mount. In ESO they just can't do cool stuff like that because the world is too small.

Sinking in chairs?

This has been super weird and I've asked people if it's happening on there side as well
I figured it was just client-side but others do in fact see this.
But ONLY my Bosmer has had this happen. I got to sit in a chair and I SINK into it. I can move, and I don't get stuck. It's just visually annoying. I've turned off all my add-ons.
g7WfYQM.jpg

Im on PC-NA (Sorry forgot to add this), It's only this character on my account it happens to. I don't know if it's a racial glitch cause I don't have any other Bosmer.
I also tried searching around to see if this was somewhere else and I found nothing :( so sorry if I double posted on accident.
It seems to have to do with the animation of sitting in a chair tbh. It happens in chairs outside of housing and heres a gift of a sinking and floating rump

Will we ever see Maelstrom weapon alternatives? (It's 2018.....)

$

Lets be real here. The Maelstrom weapons have been out for quite some time now and the majority of the players have issues/struggles with VMA. Don't get me wrong I think its wonderful when people can actually accomplish VMA; good on ya. But if you look up almost any build, You are guaranteed to see a Maelstrom weapon attached to it for the end game builds/ maximum dps.

Will we ever see Maelstrom equivalent type weapons? Some people just dont like to do arena's, Its a shame these types of weapons dont drop in vet trial Group dungeons etc. Why isolate people to do vMaelstrom to get the weapons required for max dmg output., why must it be only this arena? I would like to see more alternatives . Anyhow thats just my opinion; again Im not saying nerf or take away VMA, not saying put these weapons in other places for people to collect, its been years, alternative weaopons that are just as good as VMA would be appreciated by now.

Cannot learn Alinor furniture recipes

I am unable to learn any of the alinor furnishings. Upon pressing the use button I receive the message "Your level isn't high enough to use this item" as shown in the screenshot below. As far as I know, furnishings do not have level requirements, so I have come to the conclusion that it must be a bug. If I am wrong I apologize for posting this in the bug section, and please tell me what the level requirement is. These furnishings were transferred from my main character to my crafter via the bank, save for one that I received from a guildmate, which displays the same behavior. Other furnishing recipes transferred in these ways are able to be learned properly; only the alinor ones give me this error. I have all of the required skills to craft the furnishing as shown by the green text in the screenshot, though that is usually irrelevant in the case of most other furnishings. I have not attempted to learn them on the character that received them and I would rather not (unless I found a duplicate) as I do not plan to invest in crafting with that character.

We need Counterplay to Snares and Roots at all 5 classes.

$

At previous patches most punished by snares were 3 light and heavy armor users - nightblades and sorcerers. And less because of class passive, but wardens/
Only 1 option for them was - forced to use 2hander with forward momentum (manablade's meta last year+). Any alternatives.
Templars - op extended ritual counter everything thing, dk's - Reflective Scales last patches (damn good that have at least).
--
In next patch (from patchnotes) snare reduction going to be build into light armour, with sprint...Why? Esp sprint...let it empower some things related to magicka not this absurd. Counterproductive thing.
With only 4 seconds Forward momentum u make these 3 classes even more helpless vs roots and snares...
--
Main issue is in no counter options for certain classes.
And in not standartized snares - "Major, monor etc...".
And.
U just should give these options to above 3 classes. With sactificing something important but to be able.
And fit Snares to "Major, Minor"-classification. Thats all, problem solved...

Idea to add some reduction for snares and sprint to light armor is bad for armor type identity.
--
@ZOS_Wrobel ask "GIlliamtherogue" about this please. He know how this works and can tell what to do from all community as a trustful person.
