So now that Elseweyr is coming, we'll be able to go to every race's homeland (at least 2 zones per race). What provinces are you most looking forward to next? Whiterun in the 2nd era? More of the Alik'r Desert? Perhaps the eastern Telvannis Coast? Or maybe even the inner swamp of Black Marsh?

@ZOS_GinaBruno forward this to the dev team and think about it, even if its temporary, because no one wants to loose so many players to bad performance

Because it is getting worse and worse why not do a very simple ''fix'' for improvement like every other MMO has?

let me give you some detail about what i mean :

- disable all skins/mount skins/outfits etc.
- disable all character hairstyles/jewelry/body markings etc
- disable CP
- disable all allied effects
- disable Siege effects
- Remove all npc's from cyrodill
- remove all post-processing effects
- Limit view distance to 30 for everyone
- limit server load by disabling any server information loader ( for example, guildsearch/guildstoresearch inventory search etc )
- limit or disable DirectX
- limit moving shadows
- disable all poisons/weapon enchants in pvp ( you could add maybe 1 or 2 poisons only usable in pvp to remove server load for 100 different ones )
- Remove all weapons traits and armor traits in pvp besides impenetrable and make impenetrable only usably in pvp
- remove weapon and gear appearance and make 1 biased outfit for light heavy and medium armor that everyone has.
- disable ALL item sets in pvp, make a new pile of gear sets intentionally designed for PvP alone, gear sets without timed procs or premade set proc chances that may or may not proc, the amount of stress relieved from the server loosing all these calculations will be IMMENSE. ( i mean make sets with a buff or a stat that is on 100% of the time so the server doesn't have to keep track of these procs all the time )
- make 1 type of CC animation , stun,root,slow not 10 like now.
- disable different movement speeds, only 1 and not stackable.


any more ideas much appreciated, i know i list alot of things here that could be client changed, but this is NOT the case on ps4/xbox.

Why did you have to remove it? Magnb was so nice with major expedition on its main dot, you could actually move. Now we are forced into rat which isn't nightbladish at all. I'd like my identity back zos. Please. Don't take this away from us.

Incapacitating Strike: The Silence from this ability can now be CC broken, and cannot be activated on targets who are already affected by a CC effect.
Note that this change is exclusive to Incapacitating Strike, and will not apply to other Silences, such as Negate Magic, since those are area effect-based pulsing durations, versus instantaneous duration-based effects.
Developer Comment: As mentioned in the 5.0.3 patch notes, the goal with the change to Incapacitating Strike’s conditional bonus was to tone down some of the shut-down mechanic to it, since Silences are essentially stuns that allow the target to continue moving, blocking, and dodging. We are aware of the nature that Silences have in terms of effectiveness on varying builds, which is why we found the ability to CC break this effect would be an ideal compromise; it still has the counter play options of a traditional stun, but no longer needs to always be broken.

How about we get some abilities that hurt stamina builds but are harmless to magicka builds for a change? It's not enough that magicka builds have already had negate only affecting them and were lacking counters to roots and slows, no the magicka bashing has had to continue ... . We are 5 years into the game and we are still waiting for a "Silence" equivalent to stamina builds.

Nightblade Dark Cloak changes

I am a nightblade pve tank main. Dark cloak is the only reliable heal that a nightblade tank can use. As a tank when you are taking a lot of incoming damage you need a burst heal not a heal over time. I would rather see the minor protection removed from dark cloak completely but have an instant heal dark cloak with a heal over time attached to it. I dont mind the amount of total healing i just dont want it spread out across 8 seconds when I need a burst heal NOW.
Dragonknights have green dragon blood and coagulating blood for burst heals.
Sorcs have the clanfear which heals for a huge amount of max health upon instant cast.
Templars have tons of burst heals that are instant cast.
Wardens have arctic wind which has a burst heal with a heal over time attached to it.
Necromancers have their scythe ability which heals instantly for a percentage of max health.
Why cant nightblades have a burst heal too?
I wish it was something like heals for 36% of your max health instantly. Or even something like heal for 15% of your max health instantly and 15% of your max health over 3 seconds.

The minor protection is not why this skill is used. It is used for the healing. Nerfing the reliability of the healing will make it pointless.
If you want minor protection on a tank you can use circle of protection(fighters guild) or slot temporal guard(psijic ult morph).
I went on pts today and my dark cloak tooltip was like 2k healing per second for 8 seconds. That was with my standard pve vet trials tank setup.
4.5% max health healing per second when you have about 40k health is only 1800 health per second.. What are nightblade tanks supposed to use now??

Splitting the offense/defense morphs of Resto Ult is fine — but here's a more sensible way to do it.

Offensive morph: Grants Major Force (identical to PTS 5.0.0)

Defensive morph: Grants Major Protection

Separating the offensive and defensive functions of the skill is a reasonable proposition—it was indeed a little overloaded that Resto ult could do both, helping you recover from burst and immediately swing into a brutal offensive window with buffed crits. But the current iteration of Life Giver (the defensive morph) is trash—the added effects are gimmicky and impractical. Major Protection was the core defensive aspect of the skill.

If the design philosophy underlying this change was to clearly delineate the offensive & defensive morphs of the skill, then there shouldn't be any reason why this can't be done.

Bear in mind that Resto only affects 1 target per tick, so it could conceivably buff a group of 5, although it would take a full 5 seconds to do so, one at a time, before which several group members might be vulnerable. Or it might exclusively get hogged by a single player who's getting heavily focused and/or unable to heal themselves—thereby depriving others of the accompanying buffs.

To put things in perspective, you have ults like Permafrost giving Major Protection to EVERY ally in its AoE. Plus an unavoidable snare. And stun. While dealing 2/3rds the damage of a Destro ult. And as icing on the cake, also lasts 3 seconds longer than a Resto. So much for not wanting an ult to do both.

You could argue that Permafrost costs significantly more at 200 ult points, compared to Resto's 125, which is valid. If cost and perceived spammability is the issue, then increase the cost of Resto correspondingly so it can't be "spammed", instead of removing crucial functionality.

In summary:
  • Keep one morph for providing Major Force (as it exists on PTS 5.0.0), and move Major Protection to the other morph.
  • If this is insufficient, increase the ult cost slightly.
  • If this is STILL insufficient, reduce the duration of Major Protection granted by each tick (we're really reaming the skill at this point, but it's an option). —credits for this suggestion go to @Solariken

Anything besides the trash-heap that is the current Life Giver morph.

Hi!
I enjoy discording with friends while playing games. I find it hard however with eso, because questing is a big part of the game and I cant follow the dialogs with people screaming in discord.

Because of this I am looking for things to do in eso which dont include following dialog. Things I know of are:
-Material gathering
-Crafting
-Dungeons/Delves
-Pledges
-Thiefing
-PvP

Thing however is that pledges are 3 quick dungeons and its done. Im not always in the mood for thieving and gathering, and mycrafting is maxed out. Also I am not a huge pvp fan. Dungeons could be a fun acticity but I dont know what dungeons are worth to rampage through.

So my question to all of you! What do you do in your eso adventure id not doing the points stated above? And/Or do tou have some advice dor me what I could do to enjoy my time?

Hello ZoS.
After i send ticket and recieve the usual BS to check my computer capability to run the game + my internet conection i decide to ask you in the forums and see what you guys will answer me now. (because i dont get any response to my last mail like weeks)
So usualy my internet is stable and my pc is more than ok to run EsO on max settings. Random times / every day/ i lose conection to your servers only. For like 5-6 minutes.
It happens like 3- 10 times per day, and its shity anoying because instead me having fun playing the game i roll dices do i`l get droped from your servers while i do solo/open world or i`m in trial or dungeon. I`m literaly scared to join grps because of those disconects. I wont say the game is unplayable to me, but i do say that grp content is big NO NO. Ppl start ignoring me because no one want to run grp content with randomly disconect ppl.

As you can see even to NA servers my ping is 35ms (i play from EU /Bulgaria/)
But YOUR lap dog Akamai servers dont respond.
I`m not ViP anymore, but i do buy all dlc/chapters + incoming expansion with real money.
Paying for online MMO just to solo play it its not a option i like, or acept.
So please tell me how to solve this.
Dont get me wrong. This is not a threat. I like EsO and after the last updates i like it even more. But if i`m not able to play it, i`l move to other game.

What "trigger set" and "special effect set" you know and which one you love?

By "trigger set" I means it will cast certain skill when you perform certain action or meet certain criteria, for example Mad Tinkerer
By "special effect set" I means it will have constant buff effect and visual effect, for example Worm's Raiment

I like to see new skill or special effect which cannot get from any skill line, but to be honest I only tried Bahraha's Curse and Mad Tinkerer so far. I like Mad Tinkerer very much but I want to try new, fun set( not necessary meta or powerful ). Hope you guys can give me suggestions :smiley:

Over the course of the past years ESO has developed into one of the best, if not THE best MMORPG currently on the market! Congratz to everyone at ZOS and players who have provided valuable feedback and dedication to shape ESO into the game it is today. I have played this game with great joy, mostly because I like to PvP aspect (AvA, BGs) and do a HM dungeon now and then. Yet something that never really got my attention, was the "old world". I remember having to quest throughout the game before "T Unlimited" was released. Even if you enjoy the story being told alot and you love the great voice acting, you will probably notice, that slaying the same kind of enemies (at least very similar mechanic-wise) over and over again, becomes very dull at some point. This has kept me from exploring areas over and over again on my other characters and honestly I think it is a shame! The game world is beautiful... if only it were a bit more challenging so that I would actually have to pay attention to the endless hordes of NPCs I am slaughtering. Elsweyr will surely bring some exciting PvE content, after all we will be hunting dragons, but let me make this very clear: In my humble opinion you are wasting ALOT of the game's potential with regard to replayability and joy in PvE by not making "old world" NPCs more of a challenge! If it is by increasing NPCs dmg by 50% , increasing their aggro range by 100%, implementing a better system of NPC group alarming system or updating NPC mechanics to be more versatile... I really don't care. Just make it so, that questing is more than a grind!

I am aware that there might be people who say that would make the content not beginner friendly enough, but let's be honest, I have encountered a lot of players (including some RL friends) that turned right away from the game because of how repetitive and unchallenging the combat vs NPCs in the open world was.
Also increasing PvE open world difficulty will have ppl grouping and supporting each other more and help shape players up for PvP content and new HMs/trials.

I am very keen on your opinion about this, because this has been on my mind for far too long!

After i saw that the stamina Necro avoided the Nerf hammer this last week of PTS, I bought the new Chapter only for the opasf stamina necromancer in PvP,
I know it will get the NerfHammer after a month, however it is worth it to annihilate a whole freaking zerg in a few seconds when fighting in close quarters, even if it lasts for a few weeks.
The P2W is real, everyone with the Stam Necro will Git GuD instantly ^^

Removed the 200ms post global cooldown from cast time abilities.

it might be a good thing on paper but since it appears to have no effect for ppl who actually play to the elder scrolls online, because they are not playing directly, 1m close to the server and have there latency vary from their internet service provider to their computer (sometimes even the weather!); i would personnaly like all cast time ability to be overlooked once again.

if they are too bursty, reduce the cast time along with the damage.
if they provide to much benefit from the buff/debuff they apply, nerf them down (it is already done tho).
if there is any reason to change them, change it.

but please, keep the DPS safe.

it is already a burden to cast a skill because:
-it snares yourself while casting (can be annoying in both pvp and pve)
-you warn your enemies of what you are preparing (particular pvp issue)
-it can be interrupted, exposing yourself without any benefit (both in pve and pvp, moslty in pvp tho)
-if you manage to get interrupted you're also afflicted by the offbalance debuff, adding more to your desapointment of being interrupted

do not negativly impact a somehow skillfull behavior by making such risky a playstyle by making it unefficient even if completed properly.

long things short, return the dmg you nerfed because of the 200ms tweak, at least. Please. for cast time abilities.

went into the eso-sets site and found they have a new link, "eso-skillbook". There i noticed this section, "Pvp artifacts". Checked it, and i am really confused now.

is this some sick joke? tell me it's not real. I stopped pvping in Cryodill a long time ago, but i feel sorry for all the poor players there. Is this their solution against zergs?

War Maidens vs BSW (probably old news. Just want some clarity).

So, I was crunching some numbers.

BSW downtime potentially ~00:00:20/ 00:01:00. That is ~40 seconds of buff. Given the proc is activated consistently AND there are not mistakes in rotation (i.e. flame damage lapse).

War Maidens is permanent 400 spell damage. In my mind, it is hard to compete with stability. It affects ALL magic damage; therefore, elemental blockade, etc.

I'm not going to entertain "skill" conversation. Spamming flame damage spells is not noteworthy.

What I am looking for is this:

With consistent flame damage, does BSW out perform War Maidens, given the small gap in spell power and down time?

initially I had tried to kick off the conversation with questions on a bunch of random topics...

love to fight, carry scrolls, gank, defend, attack, pour oil on folks, repair keep walls til your fingers bleed - this is your thread...

love hearing big and little battle stories, as well as observations concerning the interaction between the alliances in this campaign - who doesn't love a good bridge fight...

big IC fan...at this point i wanna apologize right now for anything weird or crazy i may have done in IC (or for any future stuff)...I'm pretty laid back in cyro - IC has a way of getting me fired up on occasion...

About Us:

Flitzbane and I created this guild almost 4 years ago on Xbox with the purpose of having a group of like-minded members in the same guild, so we never had to use the activity finder and could always do group activities without having to ask in zone chat. We would like to go back to the roots of that, only this time on PC, and let MoR grow and become a place where dailies, trials, shard farming, and even questing doesn't have to be a solo thing. While we are fine with solo play, (I personally solo play a lot) We know how hard it can be to get groups and how much more fun it is when we can have a friend or two tagging along!

Active Time:
We are looking to expand our roster so that all time zones are covered and there is always someone on to help or explore Tamriel with. (Guild events are scheduled around CST.) We have members that are MST and PST and we are in need of more members these time zones.

Scheduling and management:
We are an organized guild. This is in hopes that everyone’s wants and needs within the guild are met. While we have scheduled events, random guild fun is always welcome.

Communication:
We use discord and it is required to join our guild. This is where you can get the full benefits of being in the guild. Whether it be needing help with a build, maelstrom arena, crafting, or finding someone to help you with daily quests. Looking just to chat with someone when you’re stuck at work and would rather be playing the game. Discord will give you access to all of that and more!

Currently Looking For:
Members of any level and alliance are welcome in our guild. While recruitment is OPEN at this time we are looking for new members that want to be on a set trial team, on dungeon teams that run at least once a week, and a few members interested in being in a group that runs battlegrounds at least once a week.

Basically, when running with the assassin personality on, occasionally, you hold your weapon instead of the dagger that is supposed to appear here (sometimes...).
And with 2h, it looks reeeeally cool.
