Choose Start Story - Why I still don't come back

I know that it isn't an option to choose to start a new character at the beginning of the ESO story and timeline as the Vestige and this is the only reason I haven't come back to this game, much as I'd like to.

It's a deal breaker for me.

I'd love to experience Morrowind and Elsweyr etc. but being able to follow the story through chronologically matters to me. I play games for story and this is Elder Scrolls, which has so much story and lore and depth.

I hope this won't be perceived as an entitled whine. I just wanted to post to raise the issue yet again so that maybe it adds to the historical complaints and requests, reaches the Devs, and maybe one day they might change things.

Ballista ultimate (bow) causes desync of hp.

Everytime i cast it on somone, they get hp desync, die at ~40% hp, happens to myself too. You think youre fine at like half hp bar , but then you die.

Got to the last boss on the 7 set and i killed the argonians protecting him then he starts swirling aroung his arm and im dead no matter what i do. cant heal or shield enough to survive that but i did get him down to 40k health.

Any thoughts on what to do?

AND FORGET VIDEOS. I AM NOT A YOUTUBE VIDEO WATCHER

I bought the game (in a bargain pre-order with Summerset) in May 2018, and played casually for a few months. I got two characters — oh, so advanced! — allll the way up to level 12 or 13 when other things took my attention, and I stopped actively playing, logging in only to pick up the daily goodies.

I honestly can't remember how to 'operate' either of these characters, and have forgotten the story contexts in which they exist. The latter is a pity, because the storytelling aspect of the game is, for me, one of the best features, and what I miss most about it. I am now considering resuming play. Should I try to muddle through with these characters, low as they are (but of whom I am rather fond), or would it be better to just start over, even if it means repeating a bunch of early stuff?

Skill has been basically removed by giving so much braindead damage in the forms of light attack (elsweyr) and dots (time shittiest pvp patch for non casuals to date).
Content has been the same since release.
Rewards are average.
Competitiveness isn't present.
Scenography and big *** plays have been minimized by *** everything about 1vX and making small scale harder and harder.

What's left in pvp for you? Zerging for the purpose of zerging?

Trials: what dps classes are performing well in trials as far as damage dealing?

I don't do parses and I don't do vet trials but I still would like to know what DD classes are viable this patch, it makes it easier to just make sure they get the gear and I can farm trials on them if that makes sense. I'm not doing vet trials yet but do want to one day move on from normal trials.

I feel that if a certain class is performing better then why not focus on that class this patch since it will help add that lil bit of dps then I'm helping the group out.

there have been a variety of opinions about the meta …...I really don't want to call it the meta since I don't do vet trials but in a way that is what I'm leaning towards...what is the meta dps class or classes atm?

Proposed change to minor and major vulnerability

I propose that minor and major vulnerability only grants the additional damage to the player who debuffed the target.

For example,
So a magsorc who concusses a target gets 8% additional to that target. Therefore, there can be multiple vulnerability debuffs on one target.

This change would balance out the necro ult, without nerfing it. It would buff forms of shock damage, such as using shock glyphs or lightning staffs. It would bridge the dps gap between mag and stam and It would slightly lower the power creep.
What do you guys think, good idea or bad idea.

I applaud the Dev team's efforts to try to balance skills, classes and such. However, it is extremely apparent that the dev teams have used a lowest common denominator, homogenizing, and over-standardizing philosophy and methodology. A common misconception is that balancing means standardizing and making things more similar, level or even. However, this is not a spreadsheet simulator, it is an MMORPG with the best intellectual property a dev team could dream of and the purpose is fun.

Balancing efforts should be dynamic and increase the unique attributes of various skills and classes, while fine tuning them to make sure overall balance is maintained. Other games have done this well, so it is not beyond reason to expect that one of the biggest can also do at least a decent job with just 6 classes. This patch is horrendous and the philosophies behind it will keep diminishing the quality of the game even further if a more sophisticated approach is not adopted instead.

Gameplay feels more bland, even more unbalanced (DoTs on steroids being one example), and just more boring now.

Should sell crafting bag in crown store

If you own all of the DLC nearly the only reason to sub is for a crafting bag.

Some find that worth it, some don't.

So there's people out there (like me) who own all the dlc but don't want to sub for a crafting bag. So now the question is, how do you get more money out of us?

SELL A CRAFTING BAG ON THE CROWN STORE!

Obviously it shouldn't be an unlimited bag like the one for subs. But maybe something like 50-100 different crafting mats shared across all characters. Or maybe you have to pay per character to access it depending on the cost?

Something smaller not quite as good, but still better than nothing.

Feather/Berries limitation equals in less motivation

Hi,

Just to put my few words on the latest changes for the Indrik grinding process.

Don't know exactly what was the motivation to limit the quantity of extra feathers/berries disguising it under the usability, but for me it equals in less motivation to participate in event tickets grind. Actually the motivation is zero.

Cas put together a rather comprehensive take on the finalized changes to the game, that are really quite extensive.

Here's the TL;DR
While there are a ton of Skill changes with the Scalebreaker Update, I think after you look through ALL of them (and there are a lot), you will realize that the general gameplay of ESO remains mostly the same. There were numerous cost and damage tweaks, but out of all the skill changes it was a small percentage that were drastically effected.

However, probably the most notable role affected here is the healer. Healing Springs has been changed, and healers will not be able to rely on it as their go to. Mutagen will need to be cast twice as often, which will further tax healer resources, making Magicka Recovery more important than ever. And, Necrotic Orb is now a one out at a time deal, meaning they won’t be able to spam them. This should translate to more meaningful and skilled gameplay for this role, which frankly I for one am happy about. Healing is easy, and has traditionally been more about the gear you are wearing, than mastering any sort of rotation. This should change significantly with this Update.

Lastly, I do think many meta Builds will shift after this Update, and probably more so than in recent Updates. Many morphs have more meaningful options, making it tough to decide just which you’ll want to use, particularly when it comes to Weapon Skills. I look forward to seeing what people come up with, and if anything it should at least create some change in a game that tends to hold the meta for a good amount of time.

Racial balance patch revisited - DD meta as strict as ever

ZOS went into the racial rebalance with the goal is making races more balanced. Instead, all they did was reshuffle the meta. Let's look at where the meta is now that things have had time to settle.

Orc is the clear-cut BiS race for stamina DD now. They parse 2-3k higher than Redguard/Bosmer/Khajiit.

Magicka DD started out fairly balanced, but the nerf to gold food in Elsweyr pushed Breton into the clear-cut BiS role.

All they did was force a meta shift from Redguard/Dunmer to Orc/Breton.

Healer/tank are more forgiving roles so the meta is more flexible there. But as far as DD balance goes, it's not any better than it was before the patch, just different. So my question is, what was the point of the racial rebalancing patch?

Consider this a formal complaint, my favorite character, Reggie Mane the Stray Kat, is so far below my other characters when it comes to combat it’s insane. I can throw the same gear Reggie was wearing on my Orc, Regginald Mane, and the stats are grossly different. Poor Reggie Kat can’t catch a break.

Are Khajiits supposed to be reserved to RPing thieves or hybrid builds?

WTF, please fix, for Reggie.

Is everyone happy now? Genuinely the class just died for me its the weakest pvp class in game i think. What could literally be worse? We have no valid cc. Sustain is hurt. what more could they take from us? Its never ending i see what ZoS is doing they want cyro to be all stamina versions of each class minus healers they want literal healers in there but no magicka dps what so ever they could care less about us. The damn ratio is already 5:1 nearly for Stam to mag players maybe even more. This sucks i want to hear other opinions.

Would it help if forum posters could be flagged as primary PVP or PVE players

I generally read through "recent" posts in the forums so I don't immediately know what category I am seeing. I'm mainly PVE player for around 5 years now, but I still get confused by PVP threads. At times it is halfway through a thread before I realize they are talking about PVP. Even with a decent amount of PVP experience it is still confusing. I'm thinking like why in the world does someone think Bloodspawn needs nerfing....why would they want to make the tanks job harder...then I'm like crap these are PVP players, still don't understand why they want to nerf booldspawn, but ok it must be something they run up against.

So my idea would be to allow forum posters to flag themselves as PVP main or PVE main simply because the discussion are so radically different. This would help me especially when I am looking at PTS posts this is where it gets real confusing. Does anyone else experience this?

In many parses LA is over performing compared to class or weapon skills in this game.
Sometimes doing +20% of the total damage.
When ZoS is going to address this and lower their damage?

Me and my group have been getting rolledback in Moongrave Fane dungeon two times now. Once yesterday on normal, during the mobs before last boss. And tonight on veteran, after we opened the gates with the cube and jumped down. It seems like we were rolled back 5-10 minutes, just enough at the least for the dungeon instance to reset and also all our loot during that time to be gone of course.
Has this happened to anyone else?
