People without Elsweyr are creating and playing with Necromancers

Didn't see any news about Necromancers becoming free and I think is weird.
People on guild chat are reporting being able to create and play with Necromancers but can't go to Elsweyr.

And I had a guild member trying in a second account without Elsweyr and succeeded. Is it a bug or a feature?

Vanilla Eso for veterans/pvp

Its about that time! As this game deteriorates with every patch and the quality of pvp as a whole, If Eso could some how bring a pvp campaign out thus cycling through all the most iconic patch's they've had in the past thus reverting abilities and classes to their former state in those patches, for example if you had a month campaign and it cycled weekly through the most demanded patches like 1.6, one tamerial, morrowind etc
lets be real the game isnt getting better for pvper's and this idea i have not the slightest doubt it would revitalize pvp and bring back so many veterans included!
i'm pretty sure this would be relative to the wow approach in some aspects. A campaign for veterans should be considered thought!

You know sometimes when your getting bored with something you take a break or change things up. As a beta and dual console player doing VMA just never was something on my radar which is weird being a Vet Soulsborne player.

But I said F it and tinkered with my old pet sorc ( ty to Alcast and Miss Apocalyptic) for the build tips. Finally cleared it on my 2nd nite , funny the rush of something new get the juices flowing again.

So to any players hitting the wall try going outside the norm and it may help.

OH and I got my Bow 😎

Unable to Speak through ESO Voice Channels

Hello,

Currently I am unable to pick up any voice communication from either Zone channel and Guild channels. My head set/mic work just fine as I'm able to use voice over the PS4 party system but I am unable to pick up voice from the ESO social chat menus. When I'm in social chat menus, odds things happen intermittently, for example, I'll I choose a guild channel and it will count down from 6 to 0, then it repeats without any intervention from me. Sometimes it will allow me to disconnect, sometimes it will not. When I am able to back out of a channel, to choose a different channel, the previous channel disappears from the menu and never returns. Some times when logging in for the first time of the day, it auto logs me into a guild channel randomly and I can't get out/disconnect, it just continues to count down from 6 to 0, then repeats. Sometimes when logging in, I'' check the voice channels and there will be no option for zone chat. Each example given, there is no voice commutation but I can hear the game environment sounds just fine, just no person to person communication.

More and more often I see stamina players that barely keep up vigor yet somehow will be CC’d and continue to receive substantial heals over time (not from am outside source) , to the point where they are passively out healing a spammable weave, I think it breaks down to a combination of a few sets, potions and CP allocations. Think about this if you combine CP allocation to health recovery, with a set like troll king and alessian order, run arteum takeaway broth in heavy armour you are able to easily reach a health recovery of 2.5-3K+ (even more on a sorc with daedric protection passive) which in it self is fairly overpowered.

Combine this with major vitality + lingering health potions and you essentially have the equivalent of a 2-3 stacks of vigor ticking without even so much as casting an ability. The recent nerfs to sources of major defile also makes this set up even more viable and is yet another reason (apart from the overpowered damage sets) why heavy armour, outperforms medium armour for nearly all stamina builds.

Dear Zeni team, the title actually says so.

This is not about the newly added content but about the changes you've made to the armor, attacks ect.
You build up a char for a long time laboriously and costly, experimenting with armor and skills until you finally have your char so that he is optimal. Spends a lot of gold to get the armor (just for jewelry) on Legendary.
And then one day Zeni comes along and throws half of everything over the pile. Skills no longer have the effects as before, some armor in the current combination no longer effective or sometimes no longer useful, such as. some monster helmet sets you have worked hard for.
So you have to start all over again.
What is that supposed to do?
You could have fed half of the stuff over the pile of higher CP armor, for example, cp 200, that would have made sense.
But this is just a joke, who now takes over the costs for the conversion of the chars? You certainly not, right?

Instead of taking care of really important things like more guild content, that's what happens.

You have 99% of our guild member just scrambled the game and it is seriously thought about canceling the subscriptions and to change the game because no one is up for it.

BUGGED BOOKS Patch 3.2.5

This Spreadsheet is an ongoing list of problem books and fixed books: Eidetic Memory Bugged Books List

This is an on-going effort to make certain that all books listed in the Eidetic Memory are accessible to all characters, so that 100% completion of the Eidetic Memory may be obtained (between DLCs and Chapters of course!)

There are a few problems that arise that cause books to become inaccessible:
1. They exist inside an area only accessible while the character has the quest. Reading these is not a requirement on the quest.
2. They are a quest item, they may start the quest and/or be read during the quest, but after the quest they have no location in the world. Some of these MUST be read in the quest inventory while on the quest in order to register.
3. Phasing. Some areas in the world change as the character progresses the story in the area and some books are only seen before the story is done.
4. Alliance restricted (this applies to a very few books that only exist within the alliance bases in Cyrodiil)
5. Other

Last but not least, Community help to locate missing books. It would be great if ZoS could confirm books the Community cannot locate are actually in the game:)

This is the route I take through IC to check the bookshelves. I play EP and this may not be the most logical route for your character. I tried to show the path as clearly as I can (yay Paint!) but the maps aren't that detailed to begin with. I also took a screenshot at each bookcase to hopefully help you locate them all:)

I absolutely adore this game!

I started back in the "Elder Scrolls" games with "Arena" in 1994, "Daggerfall" in 1996 and "Morrowind" in 2001. The online version is just a perfect combination of those good old classics that get better and better. The first time I was back in Daggerfall in ESO I felt back home. This is a magical moment in my life.

Moreover, the community is extremely helpful.

With a lot of humor I classify salty players in pugs just as bad roleplayers. This is Tamriel and not a replacement for personal anger treatment. I've met people that roleplay even in pugs and learnt the lore of Elder Scrolls. This is amazing experience!

To put it all in a nutshell: Well done Zenimax and Bethesda for creating this masterful piece of art.

This skill just is just the most ridiculously over performing cc in the game and makes the old rune cage look tame in comparison. In CP pvp there are already enough snares , CC’s and immobilises to have 1 skill that wrap the 2 worst together. there is nothing worse than kiting on a medium armour build to be instantly wiped because of this skill alone. Combined with half a dozen dots even the most incapable player can sit there perm blocking, fossilise then leap or meteor and get easy kills with a 2 button combo.

In non CP most magica builds don’t have the stamina recovery to break the CC, dodge roll the immobilise and then break the next CC (most builds don’t have the barspace to run race against time). For some reason Rune cage was nerfed multiple ways in 1 update but this even better skill persists update to update without change.

How do I calculate value of pen vs damage.

As I compare damage sets, weapon passoves etc, I find myself largely at a loss on determijg which way to go with my character.

Which does more damage in the end between a 14% passive damage increase or 3450 penetration (obviously this is physical damage penetration in the case of spriggrans)?

Is one better to go with in the long term fight, vice maybe one is better in bursting down a target specifically?

Any help appreciated.

Currently the Vigor self target heal breaks stealth which makes no sense cause it’s self target so is a change on the way for that cause self targeted buff/heals should never break stealth.

Remodeled stages are TERRIBLE.

EU Server Performance - Update from Matt Firor

Hi everyone,

Today, members of the ESO team are participating in a Reddit AMA over on the ESO subreddit. We have seen your questions and concerns about EU server performance, server capacity, and issues with the Activity Finder, and wanted to make sure we addressed them in the AMA and here. Below is a response from Game Director Matt Firor.
Hello! I suspect we'll get questions about performance more than a few times today, so I prepared a description of what we have going on to address performance concerns - on a number of fronts.

Even though there is very little new information here, we definitely could be doing a better job of keeping everyone appraised of how things are going while we are in process. We will be better messengers in the future keeping everyone up to date on longer-term fixes and updates.

First, server capacity. As we all know, we had server capacity issues a few months back, especially on the PC EU servers. We were forced to temporarily cap the number of concurrent users on PC EU and put up a queuing system to enforce it. We got the new capacity online for PC EU in a week, and added that same capacity for PC NA (which was very close to experiencing the same problems). We took the queuing system down, and we can now support the concurrency demand we are seeing.

Second, the looking for group system. As we posted last week, we are working on a 100% revamp of this system, which is mostly used for Dungeon and Battleground queuing. We have a version done that we are testing in-house, although it will be a while before it goes live. We want to make sure that the solution we have scales correctly and will support the now massive numbers of players that are using the system. We are planning for revamped LFG system to be in Update 24, depending on how testing is going. Until then, we will continue with the only solution we have (which we posted about last week in the LFG update) - cap the number of players in the queue. We know it is extremely frustrating to not be able to queue for dungeons and BGs and get "cannot join queue" when you try, but at least now once you get into a queue successfully, you should be able to join the dungeon or BG.

Third: overall performance. Rich talked about this in his end of year message six months ago: we are currently implementing sweeping optimization and memory management client architecture changes that should improve client performance and especially client stability. These optimizations will be most noticeable on lower-spec PCs, base Xbox, and base PS4, but overall everyone should notice better stability and performance. This is scheduled for Update 24. Additionally, we have another set of optimizations scheduled for Q1 next year that will reduce the client "footprint" requirements and should speed up loading times.

Fourth: Longer term, we are in the beginning stages of combat system performance improvements that should improve overall game performance in Cyrodiil and Trials. Stay tuned for updates on this.

Obviously if anything else crops up, we'll investigate. I know that it can seem like it takes an inordinate amount of time to address performance problems, but we need to take our time and make sure that we don't introduce new issues while we do this. Thanks for your patience, and we will keep you updated.
