Declining Population

The population on all PvP servers has dropped dramatically since the imposition on faction lock.......need to change something STAT. As a player who has been here since beta, I have toons of all three factions I have carefully curated for PvP, but only those eligible for the 30 day CP campaign have anyone to play with. Well intentioned but poorly executed.

No More BOUND Items

Allow us to trade sets to remove the repetitive grind from the game and allow players to concentrate on what they want to do, for example PVP players could buy the items they need and continue to play PVP without having to gear up specifically for Trials etc. PVE players likewise for PVP-zone items.

End-game content players would get some rewards for being uber as the drops would still be scarce enough to keep the prices high.

We'd also be less likely to hoard bound items that could be replaced much more easily, freeing up some storage space.

From personal experience, I'd have happily paid 1m gold back in the day for a BSW flame staff that just wouldn't drop from CoA and save my 100th run...

I’ve been into ESO For 4 years now, first online game I’ve played. I’m definitely a PVE player, but to complete some achievements I really need to get bar-swapping down. Does anybody have advice on how to start and practice? Would it ever be possible for me to single bar endgame content?

Guild Medieval - [PC/NA/All Alliances/Any Level/Mature/Social/Family Oriented]

R7SLHdXh.jpg
Guild Medieval was founded in 2001 as a haven for Diablo 2 players wishing to play in a mature, safe environment free of hacks and obnoxious behavior. We have since branched out to DDO, D3, WoW, PoE, NW and Tera, and are exploring other worlds besides. In DDO we are known as The Silver Legion, and have become one of the largest, most successful, and stable guilds on Cannith.

We are duplicating our efforts here, offering a home to any gamer that recognizes the value in our level of organization and sterling reputation. We are family-friendly, helpful, and courteous. Thematically, we are built around the idea of feudal kingdoms and orders of knights with a strong code of conduct. Many of our members form friendships that last beyond the games we play (some have even gotten married).

Guild Medieval is foremost a community of like-minded people who happen to like playing online games together. We are only concerned about the person behind the keyboard, and not your gear or accomplishments. When joining us, you join our community which means interacting with members on our forums and not just in-game. We are always recruiting, and our requirements are strict.

*No Profanity.
*No Harassment.
*No Sexism/Racism/Bigotry.
*No Hacks.
*No Cheating.

We encourage fair play, courtesy, and camaraderie, with players both in-guild and out.

Register on our forum to see our full list of rules and policies, and fill out the application. All serious applications are considered and replied to–this means filling out the reason for joining with more than just a couple sentences. Responses are usually within 48 hours. Check back for PMs on our forums regarding your application. Applications with little information, poor grammar, or generally showing a lack of earnestness will not be considered.

To reiterate, we are highly selective. We are a guild of friends, and it’s hard to make new friends with someone who doesn’t make an effort in an introduction. Showing us you want to belong and value the same things we do will go a long way in your application. Your application is viewable by any member, so keep in mind that this is how you are presenting yourself to the guild.

Please use this thread for any questions you may have or PM directly about it.

Q&A Section

Q: Are there playtime requirements?

A: None at all. Play as much as you like. Even if you quit Elder Scrolls Online, our forums are open to you (given that you have become a knight–a full and permanent member of the guild).

Q: What timezones do you play in?

A: Guild Medieval is international, with members split about evenly between the Americas and Europe, and with a good representation from Australia and East Asia. Peak times tend to be evenings for both US and EU, but there are usually a few members on at all times.

Q: Which Megaserver do you play on?

A: Starting our guild chapter into Elder Scrolls Online, we will be located on the NA server to start with. In the future we might consider expanding on the EU server too. That said, we accept applicants from all across the world, not just NA.

Q: Which faction will you support?

A: Due to One Tamriel, we support all factions. The guild however was founded in Daggerfall Covenant, any member can pick any alliance they want.

Q: Is Discord required?

A: Nope. Some members have hearing difficulties or just don’t like using it. Some have to have it off for household considerations. You will need to communicate by text chat though. While it is not a requirement, we do have a Discord server, and lots of our members choose to use it.

Q: Is it required to use the guild forums?

A: Yes! We are first and foremost an online community, one that happens to play games together. You do not have to be a posting maniac, but you do have to show that you can and will participate.

Q: It’s okay to swear, talk about doing drugs, sex, and other “adult” topics, right?

A: Well, no. When we say “mature” we also mean having the ability to keep polite company. We are family-friendly, meaning we keep things we don’t want our children hearing out of our guild gaming. You can swear to your heart’s content with your mic off, but we keep our forums and chat clean.

Q: What are your age requirements?

A: Under 16 we take some consideration. Otherwise age is not a factor. As long as you are mature in thought and action, that’s enough. We also have a special “Page” rank for younger children of members.

Q: What does your guild provide to its members?

A: A safe and friendly gaming environment. That’s all. We get you away from griefers, cheaters, the dishonest, and the people you just don’t want to be around. We have lots of nice members who gladly share loot and will help you in many and various ways, but none of that is guaranteed. A lot of what you get out is what you put in. Share and be helpful, and you’ll see it come right back to you.

Q: How skilled/experienced do I have to be to join?

A: Skill and experience are not factors in joining or becoming full members of Guild Medieval. We have very skilled players and players that are still learning the game. We are only concerned about the person in front of the screen. If you have the qualities we share that make you a good person, and not necessarily a good player, we will be happy to have you.

Q: I put in an application but didn’t hear back. Was I not accepted? What should I do?

A: Remember that communications are handled through our website. After you apply, you do need to check back on the site, especially to see if you have received any Personal Messages (PMs). Also check your spam folder since we do send e-mail by default when you receive a PM, post in open forum we have for waiting applicants or reply to this thread. Once you are accepted, you’ll have a rank of “Squire” and will be able to view the rest of our forums. Check our site even if you did not receive a welcome letter by e-mail.

Q: I put in an application but I didn’t get any e-mails or PMs, and I can’t even log into the site anymore. What happened?

A: You were either outright rejected, or we attempted to contact you via PM on our site and you did not reply within a week. See above about how selective we are. Things that will get your application rejected:

*Breaking rules in your application like swearing (yes, even acronyms and replacing letters with stars), or giving graphic examples of derogatory behavior you have encountered elsewhere. We already know it is out there so we don’t need specific examples of horrible things said to you or witnessed. Your application is publicly viewable, so we cannot allow those examples in the applications. Keep your application instead positive and focused on how you and Guild Medieval will be a good match.

*Applying with a forum, account, or character name that breaks our rules. We get a surprising number of these despite detailing what is not allowed in our rules. Check your names over. Do any of them break the rules that you agreed to before filling out the application, or could they be interpreted a way you didn’t intend?

*Only writing a couple sentences or telling nothing of substance about yourself. Your gaming history is fine to list (we actually have a separate place for it on your profile once your account is created), but it could belong to anyone. What is it about you that will make our members want to know you?

*Poor spelling and grammar. We don’t expect perfection, and understand difficulties especially if your first language isn’t English, but we do expect your best effort. Communication is very important in online games, and if your application gives a headache to someone trying to decipher it, it will not be considered.

A changing beauty of Orc women.

Hey, guys! Wandering around Orsinium quite a long time ago I've found those strange Orcs in pink dresses and their women.. Well, the Orcish women! I know they were, say it frankly, the ugliest creatures in Tamriel of the late Third Era with only 25 starting points of personality. Even the mask of Clavicus Vile couldn't do anything I guess. Telvanni Bug Musk? No, no, it won't work.. Sujamma's better at this. Cyrodiil of the same time period showed them even more creepy so not even 10 bottles of sujamma could have made them at least a bit more appealing - Orc males were likely to be strongly addicted alcoholics to ever date those huge green monsters. But what do we see in the Fourth or the Second Era? High Priestess Solgra is cute enough for an orc woman. And that tender voice! So unusual to me.. Anyway modern Orc women are much more attractive. What's happened to beauty standards, have I missed something? This is how an Orc woman appeared years ago:

Free To Play During New Update?

Are you freaking kidding me? You are going to do a "Free To Play" WEEK at the same time you're bringing out a DLC and update? Seriously? Like we don't have enough crap in this game and lag? All the stuff you won't fix or do anything about? But you're happy to lure players in for more money and forget about your veteran players and our needs. Greedy! Absolutely shameful. So many bugs and lag-fests but you just keeping piling the crap on top of it and not addressing the real issues. Way to go ZoS!

Here is why the guild trader system will always be broken...

This isn't a complaint, or just an unjustifiable rant on the guild trader system. I actually like the idea of traders and guilds getting spots etc... the theory and the role play of it, is pretty great... in theory.

However... I'm going to drop this here... I'm in several trade guilds on a couple of accounts. And this week I tracked the sales of a trader down to the last transaction before trader flip. The guild was in a prominent city trader spot (Wayrest/Elden Root/Raw'lkha/Mournhold). I'm not 100% savvy on what those traders currently go for each week - but I sincerely hope those on PS4 NA server who run those, read this... they'll realize quickly how much wasted effort goes into getting them.

The guild in question GROSSED - 21,368,507 gold for the week (Sunday to Sunday). Every transaction from trader flip to trader flip. Now, that's not the taxes the guild took - that's the TOTAL GROSS AMOUNT of sales. I think we all know that those traders do not come cheap, and they are funded via auctions, raffles, donations and weekly dues. That guild would have been better dividing up what they were about to pay for the trader and giving it to the members. Each member would be far better off, and they'd still have their wares to sell in zone chat.

Guild traders just aren't viable for making money for most... maybe 1 or 2 members from each guild will make a nice amount of profit - but they are propped up by the rest of the guild to help them make it. Sounds a little too close to real life if you ask me lol.

I don't know what the answer is - but I hope someone pays attention to this and we come up with a solution for a fairer, and more productive, trade system in the game :)

Zos, give me/us a similar housing like cloud ruler temple? :)

Please give us 2 team battlegrounds

First of all, 0 cares if such topic has been already created, since what I (not only I) ask for, is still not in the game, here is another one:
- I am sure a lot of players, especially those coming from other mmos are missing team vs team battlegrounds and / or arenas.
- Personally for me this is literally the only thing, that really pisses me (not only me tho) off in this otherwise really great game (actually being unable to watch what other people wear too, but thats another story).
- WHy can't Zenimax and Bethesda just give us an option where we can select to queue for 4v4 (6v6, 8v8) or 4v4v4 / 3v3v3?
- maybe even add a free for all deathmatch or arenas (smaller battleground hardcore deathmatch) with 2v2 3v3 4v4??
- why does it have to be team vs team vs team all the time - side note it is actually never really like 4v4v4 or 3v3v3 more like 4v8 or 3v6 and 3 noobs running around without a clue waht to do or even more ridiculous chaotic *** ***, excusemoir my french. also please do not try to explain it by ye well it is this way bcuz of 3 factions, for this there is another place - Cyrodiil.
- people just run around and watch for opportunities to ks, hunt noobs, 2v1 the bad luck team or be a snitch in any other way the 3 teams constellation creates, you know what i mean xD.

Short: devs, pls give 2 teams bgs, thank you.

This Is Why ESO Needs To Do Better...

An initial comparison from the 1/25/19 Elsweyr announcement launch vs the WoW Classic launch today on 8/26/2019. Peak viewers for ESO broke about 120K and WoW peak broke 1 Million. Sure, it may just be Twitch, but you cannot dismiss seeing metrics because they very accurately show worldwide public interest in WoW vs ESO on launches. Even without WoW Classic or other MMO competition, ESO barely will see 10-11k concurrent viewers at the absolute most on a busy day. ZOS/Bethesda really need to take notes and do better with the COMMUNITY. There is a reason why 15 years later WoW is still doing so well, re-releasing 15 year old content and still knocking it out of the ballpark. While the current state of the company that runs WoW is a completely different animal than it was years back, the devs were about their COMMUNITY back then and players don't forget that. ESO has such a HUGE chance to get just as big if not bigger being a newer MMO, but how Zenimax is choosing to run the game on a constant slippery slope and intentionally or unintentionally NOT interacting with their community is a stark reflection of why there aren't more playing, and that's really upsetting for such an amazing game with such big potential. ESO is "flourishing", but only by ESO standards. It should be able to do so much better now and especially on new content releases than 10-12% that WoW does with content that is 15 years old.

Companies can say anything they want, but numbers tell the real story in every area. We all love ESO and it's the #1 reason we are literally begging Zenimax to do right by this amazing game and it's community because we want success with it, not failure.

Dual Wield[Flurry and morphs] - Do you think the skill should get a rework/buff?

My opinion:
* This skill has a really low tool tip, and feels like its not doing enough dmg in PVP
* The morphs of this skill, offers close to nothing:
- The skill hits so low, that the heal gained from it, is low aswell.
- The incrassed dmg is only 3% per hit, total 8% dmg increase, but the base dmg is low, so nothing to gain from that
* PVP wise - The skill channel time is high, making u exposed to dmg while going offensive.
* This is the only reasonable skill (for me at least) as spammable for classes who wants to use DW as front bar which has no spammable (see stam sorc, stam dk, etc)
* The skill is single target, therefore imo it should have a higher tool tip and deal more dmg than lets say (jabs o.o which has more dmg, and is AOE)
* It is an easy to dodge skill, as you cant run to catch your oponent, and while channeling, you lose speed, so you cant really lock down ur opoonent

I come mainly from PVP prespecitve, feel free to shed some light.

Trader swap issue - EU server

People have managed to "hire" traders for 10K in the midst of the lag which has caused all sorts of chaos for the new bidding system.
It seems like while the traders were empty it was possible to click hire.

Anyone else seen this happen ?
