When is MagDk finaly getting an execute?

$

It's basically the only class that has no accsess to any kind of execute ability. With all the "standardization" in behalf of balancing the game, the MagDks strongest skills are gone. Along with its identity.
At least be as conequent with your "standartization" to give this class access to an execute.

And before anyone comes up with [snip] like "leap is your execute" no its not. Its an ULTIMATE. And unless it deals x% more damge against players below y% HP, it remains as such.

magblade or stamblade?

Abused question, I fear, but let me sketch my experience about this.
I tried 2 toons on PTS, both NB, one stam the other mag, builded Alcast wise. Now, the mag was clearly superior in my hands, and the same happened using the 25lvl.
So, I started a live bret magblade, putting aside my dunmer stamblade. My opinion? Raising a magblade is a real PITA, especially if you are accustomed to sorc and/or plar: decent sustain, but slack DPS, and the really good skills are gotten fairly late (I'm thinking of Merciless Resolve, Siphoning Attacks, but also the Shade, that is a good complement). When stam, you have good DW and Bow early skills to use, nothing comparable for the staff

My Player Piano

Hi all,

Just had some wonderful visitors in my Amaya and if you're reading this, it was such a pleasure to meet you both!
This is one of the reasons I love decorating homes on live.. I love having company over!
They asked me about a piece I crafted in my home and I've had several others curious about it as well, so I thought I'd share it here.
It's a player piano I pieced together to hold my music box for some ambiance at my wine bar. Nothing too fancy, but thought it fit the space nicely and thought maybe someone might gain some inspiration for their own.💗🥂

What are your feelings on Animation Canceling and LA Weaving

I know we have had polls about Animation Canceling in the past. But I wanted to see where people's opinions stand based on the platform they play on.

Feel free to answer the poll, and also discuss what you like, or do not like about these things. Please state your platform when discussing the topic.

You should be able to place your toons as NPCs in your home & swap toons by interacting with them.

Not only would it liven up your home, but it would make changing toons less tedious as well. Instead of logging out & back in, just travel to your home and you can select which toon you'd like to play.

It's a simple idea, but I think I would be a big quality of life upgrade. It would be cool to see my toons just idling about the house too.

Hey there!

So I have been wondering what gear I could swap out that would drastically help in VET Dungeons. I am currently using Earthgore, Sanctuary and Vanus. I have been thinking of switching Vanus out for SPC (Spell Power Cure).

Really would love some recommendations

Shout in Elder Scrolls Online.

Hello everyone, today I would like to talk about a topic that for many is a taboo but for many others it is a dream, the shouts in Elder Scrolls Online. I read many comments that said "No! You're not a dragonborn! This is ESO not Skyrim!" Now I would like to present my thoughts to you: Given and considered that the role of the dragonborn is not to scream, but to definitively kill a dragon by absorbing its soul, yes, learn shouts faster but surely you could insert a way to learn the words, considering that in skyrim used shouts the graybeards, ulfric and if you remember well the draugr in the mounds also used shouts, as well as the heroes north of sovardarde used clear skies in the clash against alduin, without forgetting that dragonrend is learned by watching the ancient north scream through the vision of the elder scroll, and none of them are dragonborn, so learning shouts in Elder Scrolls Online I think it's absolutely lore friendly. Simply for me it would be right to put them in the game.

The most annoying skill ever.

Snipe, lethal arrow, focused aim. Easilly the worst way to die and the most annoying skill in the game. It hits as hard as wrecking blow, lethal arrow has a better debuff and can be used without even setting foot in to harms way. Its the ultimate way to third party any sort of 1v1 fight and rewards those who spam it at someone not directly fighting you. Bow could really use either a source of major fracture or or a source of major brutality, I personally (and I think nearly everyone who isn’t a snipe stacker using a bow) would love nothing more than to see the current snipe gone and the skill repurposed in to something that works best not continually spammed but used in a combination.

Three days in a row now the same guild, and the same cheater have take Chim scroll then ported from Chim temple to a blue keep far from Chim temple with the scroll. Of course we are all reporting this cheater and their guild, and of course ZOS has done nothing. What are we supposed to do then?

Tickets I've reported are:
200211-003423
200211-003423
200212-010589

[snip] This is really shocking cheating. It's repeated, they brag about it, and ZOS does nothing. They haven't even taken action against the primary offender, let alone given the guild a warning of any kind.

Pls ZeniMax, you gave us a fantastic house to decorate... with 4 (four) big different areas. How could we use our creativity to decorate them, with only 700 items limit ???
700:4 = 175
We can only use 175 items per area (Lion's Cradle, Moongrave Fane, Halls of Colossus and the big central area). It's veeeery few !!!
Please can you put the 700 limit for each of the areas maybe ?
It would be great !!
Thank a lot

Salutations fellow ESO'ers!

All has been quiet on the CP front and it doesnt really bode well with the veterans of the game at the state of CP right now. ZoS has been tight lipped about it and i can't wait to see what they have in store for us. However, in the interest of theory crafting and shenanigans, i thought i might as well do a short writeup on how CP can be revamped.

My main premise with this is : There should be a reshuffling of bonuses from each constellation to further reflect the Mage, Thief and Warrior mundus. This is what i would think could be the final order.

Warrior

- Increased Direct dmg done
- Reduced dot dmg taken
- Critical dmg
- Physical + Magical dmg
- Burst heals
- Increased critical resistance
- Increased recovery
- Reduced block cost
- Hammers, shield and axes mastery

Thief

- Increased Dot dmg done
- Reduced AOE dmg taken
- Penetration
- Poison + disease dmg
- HOTs
- Reduced dodge cost
- Reduced ability cost
- Daggers, swords and bows mastery

Mage

- Increased AOE dmg done
- Reduced direct dmg taken
- Critical Chance
- Fire, Frost and Shock dmg
- Group heals
- Increased shield effectiveness
- Increased resource gain
- Destruction and restoration staff mastery

The caveat to this and this is the crux of the matter; You can have 100 points into each of the mundus. Once you put more points into a particular mundus however, eg the Thief mundus, you are then locked out of the other two mundus. This creates a conscious choice for the player to further enhance his character into a more specialized champion. The idea is to have the first 100 points into each mundus to be those of PvP in nature, like reducing player light attacks, reducing defile effectiveness, increasing critical resistance, etc. However, each Mundus have some specialized bonuses that arent just tanking, healing or damage in nature but rather a mixture of all these.

For eg, a Stamina DK, that has build for poison damage, would perhaps put the rest of their champion points ( after 300 points in all mundus ) into the Thief mundus, which would then increase their DoT dmg done. But because they cannot dip into the Mage or Warrior mundus fully, they wont have access to increased critical chances, or critical dmg or Axes mastery bonuses that these mundus would provide.

The same Stam DK might also want to build differently and focus on their direct damage done. they can take instead the Warrior mundus and be proficient in that particular field.

I hope i managed to write the idea in my head, this is really just a quick one that i thought would fit perfectly with the current homogenize changes to DoTs and direct damage.

Perspective of returning player.

So I returned to Eso 3 weeks ago, I bought the latest expansion and added 30-days of Eso plus to my account.
And started revisiting eso, a game I haven't played since it's extremely disappointment during release.

And I'm surprised to say, the game feels more complete compared to what they first released.
Implementation that should have been there since the beginning are finally present in the game.
Though some of the features being locked behind DLC such as the Thieves guild and of course the darkbrotherhood, I'm this has been said many times before.
These 2 guilds should be a part of the base game and not DLC, and I totally agree on that, but I won't put any energy on that.

Let's focus on some positives.

The game still holds up visually, they added new item models and textures, though I do feel the vanilla models/skins could use a revamp, but they can still pass.
Further more, the new addition in content story lines, crafting skills, classes and even battle grounds are all fine and fun additions to the game.... to a certain extend.

I had fun leveling a fresh night blade from 1 to 50 and to cp 250, but sooner or later I started to lose interest, not due to a lack of content but due to a absence of a community.
All the quests apart from specific group quests are all solo content and don't require any interactions with other players. Pvp and Pve dungeons don't require a guild or a list of players you've meat during your adventures, nope just like world of faceroll you just queue up, sit and wait until your queue pops up and in tradition to world of faceroll once you're teleported to the dungeon, the group chat is dead silent, 0 interaction at all, with few rare occasions of people replying only saying hi back. Same for pvp battle grounds, just queue sit wait and enter and pray to the gods your team is focusing on the objectives instead of a world of faceroll alliance player farming the center of warsong gultch trying to get kills but failing every time.

Now let's focus a bit more on the battle grounds, the idea is great. The modes are fine, the map design and layout are all fine and amazing.
But it's imbalanced, not just slightly, no extremely imbalanced it comes down meta and gear skill and class knowledge? meh, hardly required, killing people in 5 blows that's not skill or a rotation, that's just imbalanced game play. Now on max level pvp this could be expected as it's the case with many other mmorpgs, but shockingly enough, this is also the case with pre 50 pvp.
Where many people who mostlikely lack the ability to win battles on their main, resort in to buying OP sets for their alts in order to finally experience a win, destroying any competitiveness in the battle ground pvp scene, he who has the biggest wallet wins, kudos! I'm better off playing a p2w mmorpg with an actual socially active community than hoping to experience any competitive pvp in Eso. Now I might sound harsh, salty but I'm actually only providing feedback.

For imagine new players stepping in to this game ( who's active player base is once again on a rapid decline ) and they get destroyed in 3-4 hits by players of their same level or even lower, what do you think they will perceive the pvp scenery as? that's right! a imbalanced mess. Will it motivate them to support the developers in extending any further funding in to the game? highly unlikely.
Now obviously many of the under performing players who finally found a way to have a moment to shine in a game with a shrinking player base by purchasing sets to out damage fresh new players. But eventually no one will be bothered to play, leaving only people like yourselves left in the game making the already rather dull pvp experience even more dull and eventually dead.
This has been the down fall for many mmorpg titles in the past and it could give eso the push it needs to join them.
So in my opinion the easiest fix for this problem, would be removal of set bonuses and grant every player base stats, rendering the game play based on their skill and class knowledge rather than cookie cutter set builds. Making the pvp scene more competitive when it comes to battle grounds.

Now PVE.... like I said before... the game feels like a single player experience.
For just like world of warcraft it became a online rpg with a public queue lobby.
Now people have said to join a guild, which I have tried but guild recruitment are so terrible slow and non existent it's hard to find a guild or at least a proper one.
I have been part of a few, where people spamming the guild chat LFM for veteran dungeon blabla CP 800+ link achie. And I instantly got flash backs to trash wow puggers in all blue gear demanding get boosted by people who literally have no need for the dungeon other than just 1 rare drop with a 0,000001% drop chance. And I just left the guild, if you're bringing anti-social standards and pricniples from a socially destroyed game, than I'm out.
Now this isn't just a problem I've encountered in guild chats but zone chats as well, I kina have a feeling a large portion of the BFA scrubs that dropped out for whatever reason ended up playing eso and brought their anti social behavior to eso, or maybe it's been a shift in mentality soon after I quit playing back at release I don't know, but I do know. it's disgusting and has no place in a mmorpg. If you don't have the patient or people skills to interact with other people and communicate, don't play mmorpg's, they're not your coup of tea, like the Elder Scrolls? fine, play the solo rpg's they're better and you can play them all by yourself! for if you can't explain simple mechanics of a combat system relying on a rotation set existing out of maximum 10 buttons than you're pretty much "special". Nasa has taught chimpanzees to man space shuttles and yet you can't explain a party how to perform a series of pre-scripted events of a simple boss encounter, truly the next step of human evolution.

So after all.

The developers did their best they added a lot of content to the game.
Most of which are all solo and hold no replay value.
Pve group content fun and interesting but can't be fully enjoyed due to a socially challenged community.
PvP as far as battlegrounds go, extremely imbalanced both due to under performing players and bad developer implementation. After experiencing the disapointing mess called battle grounds, I lost any interest I had in revisiting Cyrodiil which I heard is betteer and for your sake, I sincerely hope it is better, though I doubt it as it's a pvp on a mass scale and fights relying on large scale combat with people working in greater numbers and since the community interaction ( players amongst them selves ) is lacking, I doubt it will be any good.

Conclusion:

I did not like it.

Not the game it self, but the community.
With the majority being on the spectrum the game still feels like a solo rpg experience.
It's another case of the community killing the game them selves.
The game had potential, large region maps with many points of interest, group content and challenges. but in the end it's just like world of warcraft a online rpg lobby with a dungeon and pvp queue and community that rather sell one of their own kidneys than socially partake in a mmorpg.

[snip]
I'm merely sharing my experience with the game and the community.
I addressed positives, but mainly negatives for in my opinion and experiences there are more negatives than positives and this is mainly due to you, the community.

[snip]
You're contributing to the point I'm trying to make of the community being on the spectrum and lacking basic social skills.

For those who want to bring up, should have find a better guild or: My guild is super social and active. having a tight nit group and excluding the rest of the player base is contributing to the shirking community problem. If you're not embracing new players openly and or solely focus on yourself and your own personal character progression than why play a online rpg in the first place? [snip], the point of playing a mmorpg is to experience a RPG on a MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER scale and playing this solo or with a small exclussive group isn't the idea or intent of the mmorpg genre.

It's like buying a poker set only to use it to play solitaire by yourself.

You've been provided a great, living and breathing world ( events, content, dlc's expansions ) and all you do is focus on yourself.

Settings not saving?

So every time so far during this PTS cycle, every time I launch the game my settings reset back to default.
It does not seem to be an issue with my firewall or antivirus because they usually show whenever a program is not allowed to change settings, it also is not an issue where my settings documents are read only.
Anyone have any idea what else could be causing the issue? Would be very annoying if it carries over to live as well because of addon settings.

Who are we?
We are a bunch of friendly people enjoying to play the game and helping each other out.
Recently we joined forces with Valinor Traders and Valinor Merchants to form Valinor Trading Union.

What do we do?
Our guild is mainly focused on trading but has some social and pve events as well. Every week we hold a lottery that’s easy for everyone to join, rewards for three random winners. We also hold regular auctions to support the guild and we do regular trials so people can learn the mechanics in a friendly environment.

Who can join us?
Every active player is welcome to join us in our growing community, whether you are new or experienced. We are willing to explain all you need to know about trading or the game in general.

What about requirements?
We try to keep very low requirements so that everyone will be able to reach them. Our quota is 5k sales or 3k donation every week. If you are gonna be absent for a while and won’t meet the quota you will have to tell leadership.

What about the trader location?
We are switching a bit between traders in Evermore (Bangkorai), Windhelm (Eastmarch) and Rimmen (Northern Elsweyr). We might try out similar spots in the future.

Bristleneck War Boar should be upgradable :)

Bristleneck War Boar opens 5 spaces account wide on all your characters. It is currently the only inventory pet available in TESO.

A nice proposal to ZoS, would be that it be upgradable via in-game gold or by crowns.

It would help with players having a wee bit more space. Plus, make an item that already exists in-game more desirable to own. Just a thought ;):p

@ZOS_GinaBruno
@ZOS_JessicaFolsom

Would you like to see different types of inventory pets introduced to the game?
