Boss casts fear, player runs into terrain

In the Wayrest sewers, the boss Uulgarg the Hungry uses an AOE fear ability. I get it, it's a great idea for a boss except it's not in it's current form. The problem with the AOE fear ability is that it can cause a player to run right through terrain. So far, I have been feared into walls, into the stairs, into the tent and even the floor. There is no way to avoid this, and in almost every run someone is feared into some sort of terrain. Then everyone has to hang around while the person stuck tries to use /stuck, /reloadui or relog to get unstuck.

I cannot imagine this is intentional, and personally I just don't want to do the undaunted challenges when they require me to go into the wayrest sewers. It's an annoying hassle we should not have to put up with.

Wraithhome: The west wing from the Beauty and the Beast castle

I decorated part of Wraithhome in Rivenspire to look like the west wing from the Beauty and the Beast castle. I had this idea ever since I got the house, and although initially I wanted to add the library and dining halls, given the item slot limitation (and also how expensive housing materials can get, since I prefer to decorate on live rather than the PTS), I only made that area. However, I'd love to add more rooms from the castle in the future, depending if we get a raised slot cap, or different structural materials that save space. It was a nice opportunity to wear the werewolf lord polymorph and RP a little at least :smiley:

Dont get me wrong, the animations are beautiful but it just feels like a less effective Sorc with spoopy themes.

Blastbones is glitched and does far less damage than the tooltip implies it should, not to mention its horrendous pathing and the fact that they can be killed in pvp.

The class lacks many things that most other classes have such as an execute and while you can pick these up with weapon skills the passives actively (passively?) Discourage you from doing so if youre a dps.

The beautiful flaming doom balls are weak compared to other classes spammables and the ricochet skulls fail to properly proc sometimes.

Its just a bit surprising it was allowed to make it to live in the state its in.

I recently purchased the adornment pack from the Crown Store, and I'm afraid it was pretty disappointing: the earrings and circlets are generally race/gender specific, thus rendering most of the pack completely unusable. I can understand that there's most likely clipping issues for interracial jewellery, but why on Nirn should the nicest circlets be for females only? (My apologies, I can only speak from a male character's perspective.)

Hello! I'm Care, Creator and Moderator of the Official PVP Discord servers for North America PC. These servers and their decisions have been the focal point of success for their factions by those factions guild masters (except Daggerfall clearly but I hope to change that at some point) Their goal is to reestablish faction loyalty and bring the factions Guild Masters to even ground where they can work together to win their campaigns and better their factions through strategizing, training, and faction wide events!

These Discords abolish collusion and cross-faction play to keep all factions in the mindset of winning their campaigns as originally designed. This mindset and our verification process (see below) is how we keep our discord on topic and not a zone chat 2.0. We also use these discords to manage the campaigns population to reduce lag and faction stacking along with distributing help to the campaigns that need it. Along with that, give 24 map updates, score changes, and report on notable events that happen during said campaigns so that even when you're not on you can know what to expect when ya do. For basic communication, there are also plenty of channels for voice, theory crafting, general conversation, bounties, trading, events, and private channels for GM's to do the same. I can assure you every discord is 100% safe and secure and will do everything it can to bring out the best of your faction and what it can do. (Along with much much more!)

For verification, we require that all members post a picture of their character list in the #Verification tab for security reasons. For example, we want to know if you are playing against us or are a spai, or just a huge zone chat troll that we need to closely monitor. After you post your character list to the #Verification tab you will be given a rank judged by the number of characters you have on your faction. Fear not non-faction loyalists, we also have ranks for your kind as well! If you find yourself to have multiple characters on multiple factions you will find yourself in a part-timer rank, though if you have multi factional characters, and are dedicated to one faction you can dispute this in the #Verification tab for a higher rank by getting gm's or other players from your faction to vouch for you.

Here is a list of the obtainable ranks:

Spai : Lowest rank, reserved for cross-faction players currently playing on the opposite faction or is someone seen frequently betraying their faction. This rank has the lowest visibility in the discord.

Part-Timer : Players who play cross-faction but are currently locked to their faction campaigns and are working for our faction for the time of their promotion. Players with this rank are required to alert if they intend to switch factions after a campaign is completed. Failure to address your faction transfer can result in a permanent ban depending on the severity. This rank has medium visibility in the discord.

Verified : This rank is for the trusted faction loyalists and full-time players of their faction. Please note this rank does not require 100% of the characters of their faction, only a majority. This rank has the second-highest discord visibility.

Guild Master: The Official NA PVP Discord is run by these players. This rank has access to every channel including the #war-council where we decide on events, discuss politics, and often fight with each other about how to run a faction.

Streamer : Pretty self-explanatory, these are the members of our faction that are twitch streamers. If those players meet our criteria of their factions Streamers then they will have their streams announced to the entire faction in the discord.

Cartographer : This rank is for the few that wish to help out around the discord and post daily map and campaign updates of their assigned campaign or multiple. Think of them as mini moderators.

Raid Leader: Extensions of the Guild Masters, these are their officers and +1’s. Every GM is entitled to up to two Raid Leaders. These ranks share the same visibility.

Now for the Discord links, Due to me creating these in stages, you will find that some of these discords to be more developed than others. I made EP first to fix their faction when i returned from a long break from the game and found that they were on a losing streak due to being the most divided they had ever been (and now they haven't lost Kaal since!). I made the AD one to save the faction after a certain tyrant sought vengeance against AD with the help of a certain streamer on DC (and now the lowest population faction is ahead of the highest population faction). And now Im making the DC one today at the time of this post because I want dc to play to win again instead of playing to follow their favorite streamer around in a zergrush/vendetta that lags the servers and loses campaigns (pm me if you want more details on that topic).

(I also wish to be as neutral as I can between all three and will not be sharing any information between them, I will never sell your faction out or favor one faction more than the others, these discords are solely made to better the game and create content when Zenimax falls short and not for personal gain.)

I am scared for next Monday. Wonder how smooth this will go if it does go smooth. Scared we might not be able to play for a few days. There will be a massive amount of downloading going on. Did they say when will this download will happen?

Default Lock pick Breakage

I open A LOT of treasure chests and I am wondering if my findings are nearly equal to the norm.

1). The breakage rate of lock picks appears to be one in five (20%) when depressing the 1/3 or 2/3 depth. No breakage, of course, on the full cylinder depress.

This seems to hold regardless of how careful you are.

2). Never more than one broken pick per chest.

Can you confirm my assumptions?

EU PC - A list of things that desperatly need a change. imo.

Inventory management - Crafting bag should be available for crowns to remove blatant designer frustration monetization. (crafting bag should be in fact completely free, seeing as how extremely intentionally frustrating the loot design is in this game)

Proximity voice chat for PC - Many will disagree but i personally have learned this improves quality of gameplay in other game titles. Also immersion most of the time. As long as they give option to mute annoying players abusing this service.

Increase wall of fog range / Improve LOD's - The wall of fog that follows you around no matter where you go is unimmersive and gives a dull vibe to the envoirement, this is mostly because the range is so short therefore it's so obvious there is a wall of fog blocking ugly LOD's

Less monitization spamming - There's an obvious vibe of BUY BUY BUY that's often pulling me out of immersion. A little more sublety with your psychological manipulation of players would be appreciated. (think about the buy with crowns screen everytime you log on or the pushing to buy eso+)

Make items / quest rewards matter - Too often i'm being rewarded something that i don't give a crap about.. too much of this and i've found myself completely ignoring any quest reward or interesting loot because it's all just easy to forget pile of trash loot. Where's the uniques, where's the aedric /daedric weapons we heard so much about in the lore.

Uber uniques - In the lore there's always a weapon or two or an armor or two that is so unique only a few players can get it ever. Reward the most deserving players of your universe with a little unique flavor item that can only be in the server maximum 5 or something. Make it tradeable too so it will become an ultimate collecticable (knowing ZoS they will make this cost crowns rofl)

Arena pvp with rating - The most fun i've had in mmo's was fighting in 2v2, 3v3 arena's. unfortunatly pvp is very unbalanced (no matter what the white knight fanboys say) therefore arena pvp wouldn't be possible for now because it shines a light on how unbalanced the classes and pvp in this game really is. Stop hiding this ZoS, work on it. spend money on it. fix it. and give us Arena pvp like every other mmo succesfully has done. (oh and don't you dare hide this arena pvp behind a paywall.. dont you DARE!, it's vanilla content and should be treated as such!)

Animation canceling - This is one of the reasons why we dont have arena pvp, because this underlying mechanic is ruining it for everyone not just the people that can't manage to use this exploit. *cough feature *cough. It's unacceptable that even ZoS decided to officially call this exploit a feature when they officially declared not being able to fix it. (recent news has come to light that hopefully removes this exploit alltogether or atleast makes a first step into removing it. kudos on that ZoS.. don't accept exploits as features.)

-Be more impartial on your forum - too often i see (and the amount of people noticing this is growing daily) ZoS taking side with people defending the game and it's flawed designer choices by bashing anyone who makes painfully valid points of criticizm. Following by a legitimized reason to lock the forum due to "trolling". This is a form of actively blocking peoples right to speak out and let ZoS know that their product has many room for improvement. But often it's easy to see devs spending time and money silencing a large part of their crowd rather than redesigning and actually putting in effort in a project that's not gaining the amount of traction and moneycowing they expected it to have in the first place. (this is not the only game that uses these tactics to control public opinion, but it is one of the most obvious ones)


This is a serious topic, if people (ZoS employees) start flaming in it giving a reason for ZoS to lock it and hide this opinion i will reserve the right to reopen this topic to further a serious discussion without being silenced. I also reserve the right to repost this topic if i feel like new valid arguments can be added to support my point of view. Or if arguments were brought up that negate my stance therefore making my arguments invalid, i will remove them accordingly (my then invalid argument will be removed, not the players opinion against my argument like we see sometimes on this forum *cough ZoS)
The points im making here are not to just poke a finger on the soar spots, but to really raise awareness of what the player-side of this universe wants. It's not all about pleasing your investors and making sure they get their initial investment back times x amount.. or even making as much money as humanly possible drawing every penny from the player.
Don't forget that ZoS is a business and needs a business model. And Don't forget players want to play a game.. not a moneytrap pretending to be a game.

I would buy eso+ if only the psychological manipulation of forcing players to buy eso+ was removed, maybe even the lootboxes too since its illegal in europe and ZoS should be punished for still promoting these tactics in 2020. years after the ban on lootboxes and gambling for kids.

So I returned to Eso 3 weeks ago, I bought the latest expansion and added 30-days of Eso plus to my account.
And started revisiting eso, a game I haven't played since it's extremely disappointment during release.

And I'm surprised to say, the game feels more complete compared to what they first released.
Implementation that should have been there since the beginning are finally present in the game.
Though some of the features being locked behind DLC such as the Thieves guild and of course the darkbrotherhood, I'm this has been said many times before.
These 2 guilds should be a part of the base game and not DLC, and I totally agree on that, but I won't put any energy on that.

Let's focus on some positives.

The game still holds up visually, they added new item models and textures, though I do feel the vanilla models/skins could use a revamp, but they can still pass.
Further more, the new addition in content story lines, crafting skills, classes and even battle grounds are all fine and fun additions to the game.... to a certain extend.

I had fun leveling a fresh night blade from 1 to 50 and to cp 250, but sooner or later I started to lose interest, not due to a lack of content but due to a absence of a community.
All the quests apart from specific group quests are all solo content and don't require any interactions with other players. Pvp and Pve dungeons don't require a guild or a list of players you've meat during your adventures, nope just like world of faceroll you just queue up, sit and wait until your queue pops up and in tradition to world of faceroll once you're teleported to the dungeon, the group chat is dead silent, 0 interaction at all, with few rare occasions of people replying only saying hi back. Same for pvp battle grounds, just queue sit wait and enter and pray to the gods your team is focusing on the objectives instead of a world of faceroll alliance player farming the center of warsong gultch trying to get kills but failing every time.

Now let's focus a bit more on the battle grounds, the idea is great. The modes are fine, the map design and layout are all fine and amazing.
But it's imbalanced, not just slightly, no extremely imbalanced it comes down meta and gear skill and class knowledge? meh, hardly required, killing people in 5 blows that's not skill or a rotation, that's just imbalanced game play. Now on max level pvp this could be expected as it's the case with many other mmorpgs, but shockingly enough, this is also the case with pre 50 pvp.
Where many people who mostlikely lack the ability to win battles on their main, resort in to buying OP sets for their alts in order to finally experience a win, destroying any competitiveness in the battle ground pvp scene, he who has the biggest wallet wins, kudos! I'm better off playing a p2w mmorpg with an actual socially active community than hoping to experience any competitive pvp in Eso. Now I might sound harsh, salty but I'm actually only providing feedback.

For imagine new players stepping in to this game ( who's active player base is once again on a rapid decline ) and they get destroyed in 3-4 hits by players of their same level or even lower, what do you think they will perceive the pvp scenery as? that's right! a imbalanced mess. Will it motivate them to support the developers in extending any further funding in to the game? highly unlikely.
Now obviously many of the under performing players who finally found a way to have a moment to shine in a game with a shrinking player base by purchasing sets to out damage fresh new players. But eventually no one will be bothered to play, leaving only people like yourselves left in the game making the already rather dull pvp experience even more dull and eventually dead.
This has been the down fall for many mmorpg titles in the past and it could give eso the push it needs to join them.
So in my opinion the easiest fix for this problem, would be removal of set bonuses and grant every player base stats, rendering the game play based on their skill and class knowledge rather than cookie cutter set builds. Making the pvp scene more competitive when it comes to battle grounds.

Now PVE.... like I said before... the game feels like a single player experience.
For just like world of warcraft it became a online rpg with a public queue lobby.
Now people have said to join a guild, which I have tried but guild recruitment are so terrible slow and non existent it's hard to find a guild or at least a proper one.
I have been part of a few, where people spamming the guild chat LFM for veteran dungeon blabla CP 800+ link achie. And I instantly got flash backs to trash wow puggers in all blue gear demanding get boosted by people who literally have no need for the dungeon other than just 1 rare drop with a 0,000001% drop chance. And I just left the guild, if you're bringing anti-social standards and pricniples from a socially destroyed game, than I'm out.
Now this isn't just a problem I've encountered in guild chats but zone chats as well, I kina have a feeling a large portion of the BFA scrubs that dropped out for whatever reason ended up playing eso and brought their anti social behavior to eso, or maybe it's been a shift in mentality soon after I quit playing back at release I don't know, but I do know. it's disgusting and has no place in a mmorpg. If you don't have the patient or people skills to interact with other people and communicate, don't play mmorpg's, they're not your coup of tea, like the Elder Scrolls? fine, play the solo rpg's they're better and you can play them all by yourself! for if you can't explain simple mechanics of a combat system relying on a rotation set existing out of maximum 10 buttons than you're pretty much "special". Nasa has taught chimpanzees to man space shuttles and yet you can't explain a party how to perform a series of pre-scripted events of a simple boss encounter, truly the next step of human evolution.

So after all.

The developers did their best they added a lot of content to the game.
Most of which are all solo and hold no replay value.
Pve group content fun and interesting but can't be fully enjoyed due to a socially challenged community.
PvP as far as battlegrounds go, extremely imbalanced both due to under performing players and bad developer implementation. After experiencing the disapointing mess called battle grounds, I lost any interest I had in revisiting Cyrodiil which I heard is betteer and for your sake, I sincerely hope it is better, though I doubt it as it's a pvp on a mass scale and fights relying on large scale combat with people working in greater numbers and since the community interaction ( players amongst them selves ) is lacking, I doubt it will be any good.

Conclusion:

I did not like it.

Not the game it self, but the community.
With the majority being on the spectrum the game still feels like a solo rpg experience.
It's another case of the community killing the game them selves.
The game had potential, large region maps with many points of interest, group content and challenges. but in the end it's just like world of warcraft a online rpg lobby with a dungeon and pvp queue and community that rather sell one of their own kidneys than socially partake in a mmorpg.

For those who want to bring up, should have find a better guild or: My guild is super social and active. having a tight nit group and excluding the rest of the player base is contributing to the shirking community problem. If you're not embracing new players openly and or solely focus on yourself and your own personal character progression than why play a online rpg in the first place? [snip], the point of playing a mmorpg is to experience a RPG on a MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER scale and playing this solo or with a small exclussive group isn't the idea or intent of the mmorpg genre.

It's like buying a poker set only to use it to play solitaire by yourself.

You've been provided a great, living and breathing world ( events, content, dlc's expansions ) and all you do is focus on yourself.

Clever Alchemist Buff is not enough

Hello, i just saw the PTS Changes and indepentend of the Off Balance Change and other Stuff, the change for Clever Alchemist is good, but not enough. Sets like New Moon Acolyte are gonna have still more Damage, even if you change some attribut points to get the same amount of Health like clever alchemist gives. So this set will be still for the most people unattractive to use. Just with the 2h Ultimate, when you ignore the Resistance of the Target, you get slightly more Damage. But thats not worth it, if you look at the Uptime, which is not even 50%. Please take a look at the Set again zenimax, the set got buffed a bit, but noone will choose clever alchemist over other damage sets like newmoon or fury

To pre-order Greymoor you get Morrowind, Summerset, Elswyr and base game for immediate access. At the moment, I only have the base game; but this seems like a great way to get caught up!

Will this act like an upgrade? I mean will my characters and game progress continue with this pre-order? Or does have to start new account?

I don't know about everyone else, but when I was playing Morrowind or Oblivion or Skyrim, if there was a unique weapon or piece of armour or book or something else that could only be found in one place, I'd snag it and store it away or put in a display case or something.

With the myriad of motifs, furniture plans, style pages, etc. that can be found in the game, it seems like there aren't many people trying for "100% collection" of stuff like that - why is that? I would think behaviour from previous TES games would carry over into this one, no?

It's time to buff other spammable for stam classes, and make them viable.
ANY other spammable i tried beside Dizzy Swing placed me in a BIG disadvantage.

Alright, You made dizzy nicer and now EVERYONE, EVERY single stam player use this skill.

I'm fine with Dizzy Swing gets it's place at the wall of honor again,
But when 99% of stam players use this skill, you know something is wrong.
I dont ask you to nerf it, But simply buff and adjust animations to other dead spammable and provide us more options.

List of skills you can adjust to open more options:

Heroic/Deep slash - My kind of gameplay, it feels like uselss, unless youre a PVE tank.
Power Slam - How the hell, bashing your shield into someone else face does more damage than slicing them?!
Hidden Blade - Good stats wise, but no one will ever use a ranged spammable on stam class, unless they are snipers.

DK:
Stone Giant - See HiddenBlade, but also add a cast time lul

Stamcro:
Flame Skull - See HiddenBlade

Stamsorc:
It needs a spammable, cuz in this class case, its actually forced to use dizzy

Stamden:
Dive - See HiddenBlade

Give us more options and add depth to combat.
Its so boring at the moment.


Add a taunt to one of the destruction staff skill morphs (when using a frost staff)?

Would that work? Seems like it would be more effective than a long animation heavy attack and address concerns with the taunt on the heavy attack. Maybe add it to clench with a frost staff (with the shorter range)... Was just a thought

Another day, another *** posts on reddit about other *** using frost staff heavy while playing damage dealers. [Snip].

ZOS, ice staff heavy is the ultimate trolling tool and while it's hilarious, you gonna drive away all the remaining 3 tanks that queue to random dungeon finder. So you must do something about the frost stuff. I'm not sure that even marking taunt part in red will help, because some people suck at reading. The safest bet would be just removing the taunt.

Request for a Flower Fairy Type Costume

I tend to think of Bosmer as being a bit like Druids, or Flower Fairies, with their love of (and deep affinity with) plants.

So, I was pretty happy to discover the Nordic Bather's Towel, which (even though I think it's supposed to be leather?) can look like leaves, or the petals of a giant flower, especially with certain dyes:

However, with it being a bathing towel, rather than a dress, it also has the down side of showing a sliver of one buttock, at the back...

Which doesn't really bother me, too much, but can (apparently) give some people the wrong idea about the character and/or the person playing it.

So, I would like to put in a request for a version of this Towel, which is slightly longer at the back and (although not long) could be referred to as a dress (Petal Dress, or something), rather than a Towel.

It could also cover the midriff a bit more, or not; I don't really mind too much about that, personally.

I'm not looking for another long, demure, cloth dress; as there are plenty of them already.

As I say, I love the nature theme, hand made (/thrown together!) feel and also, quite like the freedom of the short Bather's Towel (as opposed to a longer dress), in general, but if something similar could be created, which is very slightly less x-rated, that would be ideal.
