Ilambris - Best in Slot for Magic Sorcerers for One Tamriel?

$

Hello everyone, I just wanted to ask your opinions on the performance of the Ilambris for PvE DPS. If anyone has had the time to run a few tests and seen the DPS from this new set on the PTS, please do share those!

Is the revamped Valkyn Skoria better than Ilambris? Is Nerien'eth better?

I have a feeling that all these new magicka sets aren't really worth it. I'm considering sticking to raw stats for PvE DPS, AKA 3 Willpower + 3 Moondancer/Aether instead of 4 Moondance/Aether + Monster set.

I'm on xbox so I cannot test this for myself, therefore if someone already has run a few tests on these, please feel free to share those!

Suggestion: Power bash could use some updates

I've been fooling with power bash the last week of PTS due to the new shield ultimate and found its use was pretty lack luster. It gives less base damage them my pierce armor taunt, has no stun, and the 25% damage boost seems finicky to proc. Keep in mind if your not using the ultimate the 25% damage boost is costing you stamina to block as well.

My suggestions would be:
- add in a block reduction buff (share the same buff with absorb magic/reflect, so they don't stack)
- give a better proc indicator when it's ready (a shining shield or something?)
- give better tracking of when I block and when the proc hits (took 2-3 hits at times)
- reduce cost when procedure
- frontal cone AOE to all enemies, or enemies close to your target (risky over powered)
- have the damage boosted based on health (risky over powered)

Adding one or more of these items should make this skill more viable for dps tanks and for certain pvp builds. Thanks for your time.

Why do dungeons have no requirements?

$

As the tittle says, meant for both role and gear side.
Beside that you have to be level 10 in order to sign up for dungeons there are no requirements.
Not to say the least about tanks or healers joining dungeons while they don't even have the gear or even a healing spell.
The problem that this creates is that when you leave because you play you role and the healer doesn't gives you a 10 ~ 15 min cooldown.
So i'm getting punished for the healer queuing up as healer but being nothing more than a dps...
And talking about the gear whites with no stats or no gear doesn't scale either.
It is all so easy if everyone just does whatever he is suppose to do.
I don't have a solution for this issue but this is one of the big reasons the dungeons are doing so bad.
I mean after I've had to cool off forcefully by the devs and be reminded of what just happened.
I'm not really that eager to sign up for me next dungeon knowing there is a rate of 33% of this happening again.
(33% is taken from playing as a tank for around 2 weeks now...)

This is just getting disappointing.

The fact that nothing is being done to address the massive imbalances in PvP is getting disheartening. Magicka templars are so over the top right now anyone who is half decent can become a demi-god while playing one. Black rose and stamina builds are way over performing, theres a reason why every known streamer/youtuber doesnt use anything else on their stam builds besides black rose. Nothing is being done to address the issue that magicka dragonknight has been terrible compared to everything else (except mageblade because they are almost as bad as mdk) since IC came out. This dev team has done nothing to improve the quality of PvP, because in my opinion class, stam, and set balance is the worst it has ever been. And i understand why this is happening, after watching Zenimax stream them dueling on the PTS not too long ago, and watching them get utterly demolished by top tier players (fights lasting no longer then 10 seconds against players like Fengrush, Jaybe Mawfawka just to name some) makes me realize why nothing is happening for balance. Because they have no idea how to play their own game or how it works, i mean whoever was dueling was on a stamplar with black rose and velidreth, and that is unkillable in a 1v1 in the hands of a half knowledgeable player. Zenimax just doesn't understand their game and they are unwilling to listen to people who are far more knowledgeable then them (reason why "We Are Eso" has been canceled), and this is really making me lose the small sparks of hope i had left for ESO.

Does wearing crafted gear drag your whole team down?

This is a problem that affects every aspect of competitive play, but seems to be especially pronounced in PvP due to the ubiquity of either regen or crit, and the dearth of weapon/spell damage and raw stat increases. Obviously this isn't an issue for folks that wake up in the morning, throw a pile of "clean" laundry in the air, and walk underneath it hoping that something sticks, but for those of us who actually want to have some control over their appearance this can be incredibly frustrating. Anyone can go farm Bloodspawn or Kena, grab up some Black Rose or Dreugh King or Vicious Death, and get by with a great build, but y'all look the dang same. Meanwhile, anyone looking to mix and match the literally dozens of motifs available in the game are stuck with Hunding's and Julianos and the like, which is totally fine right up until you run into a group that not only has the right gear, but the ability to use it as well. I can knock a scrub on their boot wearing my Totally Pro-Tier Hunging/Night Mother crafted combo, I can even take a decent player wearing that, but someone who is actually in the upper 1% of performance? No heck no way. It's like running elegantly into a reinforced brick wall.

Meanwhile when we ask about any progress on a restyling system, we get told we can "dye the armor" or "wear a costume" but that there are no short-term plans for a proper style system. Y'all know I love the dyes and the costumes in this game, but those are a once-or-twice a week thing for a lot of us. We don't want to be wearing our Wrothgar Best all the time or it will stop being our best and just be that old rag we put on constantly! I really hope you guys make a restyling/vanity tab, or whatever kind of system a development priority. It makes Khajiit sad when you have to choose between form and function, and it brings the competitiveness of his team down as well.

Magic Sorcs need some MAJOR help and it can't wait until the next update

Introduction

The Magic Sorc has been on the receiving end of some pretty heavy handed nerfs since April of 2014. Bolt Escape itself has been nerfed over 7 times. Negate has been nerfed and partially buffed off and on (The current Negate still isn't as good as the 1.5 Negate was). Storm ATronach is probably the worst ultimate in the game because its the only ultimate that can be CC, its the only Atronach in the game that isn't CC immune, and its damage output is lackluster in PVP. While the Sorc may be OK in PVE(I got through VMA with it many times), in PVP its just simply not viable...a Magicka DK Vampire with Destro/Resto is better and has more survivability then Sorcs do right now in Cyrodiil.Of course these reason are not readily apparent, but they are facts because DK are strong to what Sorcs are weak against without shields which makes them better. Also, landing a 25k+ Heavy Fire staff attack doesn't hurt ;)

Why is Magic Sorc in such a bad place?

The Magic Sorcs ENTIRE CLASS PREMISE is based on building up and timing "Delayed Damage". (Curse + Frags + Fury) Simply put Tag target with Curse, Tag Target with Mage's Wrath, and spam Crushing Shock till you get a Frag proc and then land that frag right around the time Curse explodes, and Fury will explode and thus kill most players....this is how Magic Sorcs as a class are designed to be played.

However, the Shield changes have rendered this simply unviable due to their 6 second nature. Anyone who says their sheilds never lasted more then 6 seconds in Cyrodiil wasn't playing the class right because i assure you 80% of the time my shields did last longer then 6 seconds because the minute i was pressured by more then 1 person I would streak to LOS, Reapply Shields, Drop Mines and back to dealing damage.

You can't do this now...Every 6 seconds you are FORCED to reapply shields or your dead....Even if you wear full Light Impen you are dead if those shields fall as Light Armor offers ZERO Armor at all due to penetration values. A Sorc's shields do not last long enough to fullfill the required burst(Curse+Fury+Frags) to kill someone reliably because Frags are based on RNG. In the time it takes you to cast 2 Crushing Shocks your shields are expired, You can't maintain consistent pressure against your opponent, and with no armor this leaves you wide open to be dead. Even if you front bar your Wards, your still losing too much pressure and can't do the delayed damage combo the class was built around.

Damage Shield duration was nerfed by 70% but no cost reduction to account for this duration was ever given this results in this change being the single largest nerf in the history of this game and has rendered the Light Armor Cast Sorc class as dead in PVP period. Sure you can still play your Magic Sorc, but your at a woeful disadvantage against any of the other classes, and against players of a similiar skill level the fight is theirs to win...they will simply wait till the count of 5 to hard CC and burst you with daw DAwnbreaker and the fact you have no armor - dead...Sorcs in their current state are nothing more then AP Pinata's and Negate machines for zergs.

What can be done to fix these issues

1. Shield Duration needs to be increased from 6 seconds to 15 seconds. - 20 seconds was a bit much, but a 15 second shield duration is no more unbalanced then an Archer hitting you for 12-15k with a Lethal Arrow. Sorcs have no reflects, DK can protect themselves from this with Wings, but Sorcs are literally helpless....The 6 second Shield duration pigeonholes Sorcs into very specific sets(Seducer, Amberplasm) because they are the only class in the game forced to recast a buff every 6 seconds or die in 1-2 hits. Even if you wear full impen, Light Armor is less protection then paper, your entire life or death revolves around a 6 second shield and bar swapping that doesn't work reliably half the time. Every Sorc now is usually dead due to the inability to swap bars to shield cast, and are unable to maintain an advantage against any compentent opponent because of the need to constantly re-sheild or face death.

2. A passive needs to be added to the Expert Mage passive that removes the Bolt Escape Fatigue if wearing 5 or more pieces of Light Armor
- The way the class is designed its meant to be ranged. Gap Closers right now are way OP compared to Bolt Escape. A Sorc needs a legit 50% chance to get out of Gap Closer range, but thats simply not possible due to the stacking cost increase. Combine this with paper armor and 6 second shields and its far to easy to just ride a Sorc's back to their death. Stam Sorcs allready get Major+Minor Expedition + the Meduim Armor movement passives, they don't need Bolt Escape anywhere near as much as a Magic Sorc does....Most Stam Sorcs use streak as an offensive mans to damage people, Magic Sorcs need it to reposition and even retreat...it Stam Sorcs can outrun everyone to retreat, Magic Sorc's should have a reasonable chance to retreat. We will still be squishy and die, it will still be possible to be gap closed down, just not so easily.

3. Storm Atronach needs to have a resource draining and snare mechanic added to its single target zap If the Storm Atronach is going to be the only CC ultimate in the game, it needs to be more capable of pressure an opponent with its single target zap beam. At rank 4 the Atronach should sap 2% of your max magic and max stam per second while he has the beam on you and snare the target 40%....the Atro damage in PVP is a joke,it needs the ability to pressure your opponent for such a costly ultimate, and it needs to be CC immune like every other Storm Atronach in the game is.

Conclusion

This is just a start. Destruction Staff needs some major re-working too as all the nerfs to Destro Staff over the last year(Crushing Shock losing 10% damage, Force Shock and Elemental Ring losing their 40% chance at applying a status effect, Fire Clench losing its Stun) This will at least bring the Sorc back up to a semi-reasonable and plyable level. Right now the class simply isn't competitive...You have a few diehards still playing it, but your literally better off with any other class combo....even Stam Sorc is miles head of Magic Sorc's and Sorcs are casters by Lore....

I really hope you will take the time to revisit the Magic Sorc before One Tamriel comes out...the class needs MAJOR help in PVP.....in the worst way. Even if that means nerfing Negate.

Sorcs are in worse shape now then they were in 1.5 when they were the worst PVP spec in the game.....Help us ZOS. Us Sorcs are out of options at this point.

Sincerely

Rinaldo

Console Sorc Question.....

If there a trick with console controls don't know about to get your camera turned around after you streak through a target. I know on PC with keyboard and mouse the application is quick. I feel as though I waste the whole stun on a target just trying to get the camera panned around to attack again.

If there is a trick, would someone be so kind as to share?

If there is not a input string or trick can we have an input string added to where say if you activate streak while streaking, you will be facing back the way to came and if you make no input while streaking you continue facing the direction you were headed?

This is the official feedback thread for Weapon Ultimates. Specific feedback that the team is looking for includes the following:
  • What’s your favorite Weapon Ultimate, and why?
  • Are there any Weapon Ultimates that you’d like to see more powerful? Which one, and what would you like to see changed?
  • Are you considering using any of these new Ultimates in place of your current Ultimate? If so, why?
  • Do you have any other general feedback?

Player Character Movement Speed

$

Is there supposed to be some "normal" movement speed which is common to all of the races and/or classes?? Which races and/or classes have a passive buff that increases their movement speed??

Currently, I play an Imperial Sorcerer and a Breton Sorcerer, both at Level 50 CP 510+. Neither of them, wearing light armor and armed with staves, can keep pace in out-of-combat movement from place-to-place with either a Dragonknight or a Templar, wearing heavy armor and carrying heavy melee weapons -- whatever their respective races may be.

This has happened often in other times and places, too, in open terrain, regardless of whether it is flat or rough. It seems as though every other player's character can easily outrun mine. Don't try kiting an overpowering melee fighter in PvP, eh? There also seems to be a difference in their ability to jump (up or over) compared to the ability of my characters.

Frankly, I am fed-up with expending Stamina for sprinting just to attempt to keep up with others in the group. There are better uses for the depleted Stamina. Also, I would rather avoid using a potion that increases the maximum capacities of Health, Magicka, and Stamina, respectively, because the amounts for Health and Magicka are lower (compared to using a potion that increases only the maximum capacities for Health and Magicka).

Playing a sorcerer is challenging enough without this difference thrown in for no apparent purpose or meaning. How do you justify it??

We are new as a guild and seeking other players. ImperativeReaction is currently accepting of all alliances regardless of level. We are a multi-faction guild on the North American server and happen to be LGBTQA. We are also Hetero friendly. We do PVE and PVP. We do not care if you have multiple alliance characters and we will fit right in with OneTamriel coming up. ESO is currently lacking in unified guilds for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and asexual individuals. I know we have all seen guilds come and go where only a handful of people remain and then they break apart, but we seek to change this. In our guild, you will never be kicked for inactivity so being a sporadic player is okay with us. We would like to eventually have enough people to begin trials. Currently, we have a mix of players who are mostly gay. We also have some heterosexuals in the guild who are very accepting. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation or any other status that should be protected. We do not tolerate those who do discriminate regardless of your own status within the guild.

PvP Templar Healers. I Have Questions. I Am Need of Assistiance. Please.

First of. Mostly Everyone is coming after me first. I am only PvP Templar healer at this time. Which it makes since to come after me. However some do ignore me which is a bad idea since I heal really hard for level 40 High Elf Templar. (Due to CP I think)

However. My surviviablity is the question. Yes I must admit I wear white armor. Just want to wait till I am level 50. To get good armor. Except I have questions.

My. Spell damage is 1253 same as my weapon damage. It probly reason why I don't survive much.

My stone is that added healing thing. (Not good with names)

In which sets are good for healing, good stats and sometimes for solo?

I wear 5 light and 2 heavy is this a bad idea? I get killed with 1 hit.

I also don't want to rely on spamming sweeps. Which skills be good with Sweeps.

I am so close to unlocking sheild. Later I plan to use blazing shield after I morph it. Are both shields great?

Is there any way that I can still become a full time PvP Healer while do loads of damage to defend myself?

I also love honor the dead. (Not a question. Just a fact. Saved me load of times.

I use max magicka and health food. I think it is good. But is it recomended?

If anything message Thorax the Dark for some info if you need it and if you are a new player their are people who will glady help you out.

Right now we need lots of activity within the guild for Trials and Cyrodiil( Keep in Mind the Founder is always in Cyrodiil running with a group or trying to, so if you pvp please group up with the Leader or send a Whisper or Xbox Message)! Our schedule is as followed:

Monday - Dungeon Monday ~ Dedicate this day to helping the guild and its members with any dungeons, or if you are looking to get a specific set this can be the perfect day to do so.

Tuesday - Trial Tuesday ~ Trials, Trials and more Trials. We need to find that Veteran trial running group, we will be sifting through our members on these days to find the best of the best and get everyone familiarized with the trial mechanics.

Wednesday - N/A ~ Stay tuned as eventually these days will be scheduled for something every week! We need dedicated members who are willing to participate first..

Thursday - Trial Thursday ~ Again more Trials, more loot, more fun! Please show out to these days as we need those elite trial players to show their faces and get to know everyone.

We have tried to maintain a Regular Guild Trader but alas not enough people want to help donate for a serious Guild Trader every week. We have a Goal for Gold system in the guild. In order for Only Human to obtain a Trader is to meet the Goal for the amount of Gold needed in our Guild Bank. We will not be Wasting time and Gold at Smaller end Stalls. If people want a trader than they will have to help Donate or look elsewhere for a more Trader orientated Guild. For those who do not know how the Guild Stores, Traders work i can Briefly Explain and maybe will help people understand why it is so pertinent to donate to our cause. All throughout Tamriel there are Trader stalls that can be bid upon by Player ran Guilds. (You need at least 50 people in order to have a Guild Store). You can only Bid ONCE per week , and all the bids for every single stall are taken into account every MONDAY at 8AM Eastern Time(This time changes with day light savings). These bids are BLIND BIDS, meaning you cannot see other guilds bids, and you only get ONE bid per week on any stall so it is VITAL that people donate. When a Bid is won all the Guild Store Contents will be seen by the public for whoever goes up to that stall. Main cities can go anywhere from 500,000 Gold per week to 5,000,000 Gold plus. The more populated spots need a very high bid to compete. Guild members can put their items up for sale by going to ANY bank and using the Guild Store. (Make sure to switch to Only Human before listing your items , especially if you a part of other Guilds, Press Y). Guild Trader Donations are deposited into the Guild Bank, and the Trader Bid comes from the POT sitting in the guild bank so we all have the opportunity to help out. Our Bid is put out every Sunday Night so if anything make that your day to donate. The Guild Stores are one of the best Ways to make gold, and on average players can make over 200,000 Gold in a week by selling items and making sure their listings are always at 30/30. Players will have to learn the basics when it comes to pricing, the market fluctuates on a weekly basis so keeping up on trends can mean extra profit for you. Please check this website as it has given me lots of help in regards to selling and buying. https://esopricecheck.wordpress.com/

What do you think? Horse racing, archery contest, melee fighting (only fists, block and dodge), etc. What else? What other ideas/games?

What about a new town/area where you can go to do this kind of stuff?

Maybe then adding weelky, monthly and special events and contests with big rewards to winners.

One on one contests? Group vs. group contests? Guild vs. guild contests?

What do you think?

Thanks.

Looking for an active guild with a great bunch of people? Of course you are!

Want to take on dungeons and undaunteds, defeat daily Wrothgar bosses, deal damage in PVP or quest alongside friends? So do we!

DoG is an active, social, awesome guild which is looking to add some equally awesome new members. We’re a pretty diverse bunch with members around the world. We have one requirement – we are a mature guild (over 25).

What we can offer:
• Knowledgeable and dedicated players who are more than willing to lend a helping hand;
• Crafters with a wide variety of motifs;
• Our own BAND; and
• A crazy Aussie (it’s totally a benefit. According to her anyway).

We’re predominately Ebonheart Pact, but we have a growing membership base in the Aldmeri Dominion, and would love to add a Daggerfall Covenant group (you know, if we can’t convince you to join Ebonheart…) – occasionally we run cross alliance training groups in Cyrodiil to refine our skills, and we’re looking to start running some 12 man trials.

If this sounds like what you’re after, leave your gamertag here or send a message to the guildmaster (GT: Limbolime) or myself (GT: EnjoyingComa9) and we'll make sure to send you an invite.

Disconnecting every 19 mins - Help!

I'm a returning player and just re-subbed but my play time is being ruined as I disconnect every 19 mins like clockwork.

I'm a PC user based in the UK so playing on the EU server. My broadband is excellent (100Mb cable) and play every other online game without a single issue including BDO and EQ2.

I'm going to need to see something done about this ZOS or I'm afraid I'll have to cancel my sub. I am very disappointed to see how many threads there are about this issue and how far back they go so I'm not confident things will improve.

ZOS, if you need any specific info from me then please ask.
