remove stuns from pvp until breakfree/lag is fixed

It's just ridiculous right now, breaking free 5, 6, 7 times, however many times you can before dying, without actually breaking free is just nonsense. It takes 3 to 5 seconds to fire skills off, lag itself is enough of a stun in game right now, and it is persistent.

Went around the outlying areas of Bleakrock, Betnikh, Khenarthi, and Stros M'kai with a new toon during this Jubilee event, and where typically there are tons of bots farming, there weren't any in sight; not even in the other areas of Stormhaven, Glenumbra, Bangkorai or Alik'r. Kudos for ZOS and the devs for taking care of the craziness. Ha ha. Good job and keep up the good work. Now, can you all get to the other outlying bugs, crashing and loading screen issues, por favor..

And i realise i have it when i announce the end of the event to my guild 2 days before the event actually ends... in part because these gold motifs dont stack in the guild bank are are taking up over 120 slots and so i filled up four guilds putting them on sale for 100 gold a piece just to make room in my guild bank again - only to discover the event isnt over.

Just to be clear, i am happy with all the mats and all the purple motifs as i had almost none before this event started but i am def ready to see the end of these so called gold motifs for quite some time

Is anyone interested in seeing the devs make some adjustments to our customization options for our HUD? The buff bar is entirely unusable even at its most filtered state, not to mention tiny and you can't prioritize any buff/debuffs.
And an on screen dmg counter would be simply perfect.

Would love to be able to have better options, and with ZoS talking about how the climb to a higher tier is not fun for most players it makes sense to update our methods of tracking damage and effects to be more user friendly. You can't be good at ESO on console until you've played so long you just have an eye for animations and know literally every effect length so you know what's going on. Not asking for a miracle here, just a little bit of help will do.

Blind Alchemist Writ

I noticed that some alchemy materials deposited in my bank are not seen by the system during the alchemist writ.
I'm not sure if it's a bug or something wanted, or a conflict with the Daily Alchemy or Dolgubon addons.
The only way to complete the alchemy daily crafting is to take the materials directly from your bank.
Can anyone tell me if it's normal or a bug?

LA and HA changes not making it to the live server

@ZOS_BrianWheeler the decision to scratch all of the changes due to the communities feedback is really nice and makes me looking forward to further off-cycle pts patches.

However I do think some of the changes should still make it to the live servers as they make the game better without huge or any drawbacks.

- scaling light and heavy attacks with your highest resource
There is surely someone Roleplay focused who wants to play a sword wielding sorcerer or a destro staff swinging stamina warden. Also in PvP this helps mainly magicka specs with running 1h+s (templar, DK, necromancer) and even helps bringing back meele magicka nightblade

- removal of the move speed penalty of heavy attacks
That's a straight buff for everyone and helps people in both PvE and PvP, both newer and experienced ones

- Reduced channel time for destruction staff and bows
This immensely helps magicka classes and closes a gap that has been in the game for a long time without making it overbearing.

- scaling of heavy attacks
This gives people a benefit for their actions without having a feeling of "losing" all effort because you had to stop the channel a milliseconds too early

The set changes outside of Molag Kena are good as they touch unused sets and make them much better.

Some sets perform way to well in pvp, whether it is due to them having no counterplay or simply giving the wearer extreme tankiness

For example:
Meridias Blessed Armor
2-1487 armor
3-129 stamina recovery
4-1487 armor
5- When you Block an attack, you have a 33% chance to blind your attacker, causing them to miss all of their attacks for 5 seconds. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds

In case nobody here has fought somebody wearing blessed, it's way to powerful for pvp. There was a reason the dodge chance off shuffle was removed, and this set literally does the same thing every couple seconds. Even dps who can permablock, such as magdks, can utilize this set. Theres no counterplay to it either, as its very likely you will get blinded every 5 secs. At least with dodge-era shuffle there was a percentage based chance you could dodge something so you couldnt bank on it too proc and save your hairline. The only counter to this set is a purify, but even then after you purify the set will immediately blind you again anyway as the cooldown is only 5 secs.

ALTERNATIVE 5 PIECE:While you are blocking you have a 15% chance to dodge any single target direct damage ability. This can occur every 3 seconds.

This change would make it more of a sustain set for block tanks instead of a set that simply negating all damage a single attacker does for 5 secs. It would also still be viable for pve content, as the set wouldnt allow the wearer to simply avoid 1-shot aoe mechanincs

Spectral Cloak
2- Blade Cloak grants you Major Protection for 3 seconds, reducing your damage taken by 30%
2-(with perfected) 129 stamina recovery

Almost anybody that pvps can agree that this set is busted. Spammable major protection on top of a skill that already gives major evasion is absurd. No skill should give 2 major buffs that coincide with each other. There was a reason that pirate skeleton was nerfed and thats because it gave almost 100% uptime on major protection. This set does the same thing.

ALTERNATIVE: Blade Cloak reduces your damage taken by 10% for 2 seconds.

This change still has the same functionality as the original 2 piece, but it has less uptime and 1/3 of the mitigation. I believe that it's pretty fair, as the set can still be viable and useful but not to the point where it is ovepowered and carries players.

I know theres a couple sets that this post is missing such as zaans or troll king, but these 2 in particular really catch my eyes as sets that say "please don't kill me." I'd like to hear your guys imputs on how these sets and others should be balanced

It's honestly painful to see people above 1000cp that still don't know how to interrupt. I can't even begin to count the amount of times i've died to one shot mechanics because the rest of the group stares at the boss as it pummels me to death when all they have to do is bash.

Please could you fix desync on Shadowy Disguise. Play NB on current "BG MMR system" is frustrating enough, but with desync on Cloak.. its unplayable..

Since old post was closed I'll make new one. Last night DC got all the way up to 3 bars, but still got 242 points (!! more than twice the other factions) in one hour due to low pop bonus. Anyone know if this is a new change? I never saw such a huge low pop bonus at 3 bars before.
Many nights lately in Primetime DC has been down to 2 bars, where did they all go? It isn't due to Fengrush leaving, since, I think, he ran earlier in the day.

I hope the upcoming Greymoor expansion and subsequent Skyrim related content has a few dragons. They don't have to be, and shouldn't be imo, the focus, but I really like what they've done for overland content. Of course they sometimes bug out--everything in this game is a little broken--but when they're working well they're still the most fun overland content to me. They're challenging, largely on account of damage, but I find them fair. Their telegraphs are clear, based on both visual and audio cues, and though their damage is high, their slow rate of attack makes it manageable. I've learned more about positioning, survivability, and keeping a cool head while holding aggro from these dragons than any other content in the game. I actually find fighting them fun, especially with a smaller group, and the loot isn't half bad, either. I'd love to see how ZOS could expand on the dragon mechanics. I'd like to see increased mobility and dragon ambushes. I think that'd add a lot of excitement to overland, bosses that hunt you, instead of sitting pretty and waiting for people to wail on them. (I understand that's a far fetched dream based on the infrastructure of the game, but a lady can dream.)

. . . Plus, all right, I do love dragons, and I did like Skyrim, and I would like to see some of my favorite designs return. I don't think it'd be the worst thing for the game.

Beginning to think Lake fishing in Cyrodiil is bugged. Over 200 guts, a bunch of minnow and a full Arteum Pickle Bowl (2hr +) and still no Runmare Bream!

This is from a PvP magblades perspective but some points can also be applied to stamblades or PvP in general.


Playing a magblade is frustrating as f****. Most of the time Im struggling what it feels like against the game itself instead of enemies/ other players skill. Im going to try to elaborate why I feel like that and what could be done, with gifs/images as examples.


First lets talk about travel time in PvP and lag.

Nothing hits. Its frustating as hell when an enemy is literally standing still on your screen but somehow "dodge" appears above their head.

You can clearly see that the guy Im fighting is standing still, so why am I getting "dodged"?

Thats because of the travel-time projectiles have, combined with PvP lag. Its especially worse on a magblade because every attack (except sap essence) can be hard countered/100% mitigated by just roll dodging. Thats not fun, its frustrating watching a guy with 5% HP just spam roll dodge and self heals and get back up to 100% HP.


Projectile speed

Now lets have a look at "Swallow Soul" - the main spammable of a magblade and compare it to "Concealed Weapon"- a melee spammable which also costs magicka and therefore used my some melee magblades.

If we look at both we can clearly see that "Swallow Soul" (compared to "Concealed Weapon") hits with a delay, add PvP lag into the calculation and the chances of "Swallow Soul" hitting someone becomes very small. Which again is nothing else but frustrating.


Cloak

Cloak is messed up. I think I dont have to say anything regarding that.
I will just leave these here.

Merciless Resolve

"Merciless Resolve" - bow proc has a massive travel time which results in it not hitting 80% of the time when cast from range.
This is again a massive issue that was obviously overlooked.

I mean do I have to say anything? Its clearly not "Instant", I can literally block-cancle it, same as "Soul Harvest" which has a 0,4sec cast time. Fix.It.

Conclusion:
The whole "magblade" identity feels and is clunky, which in return makes the gameplay frustrating as hell.

Solutions:
- Rework the whole class.
- Either make Swallow Soul undodgeable or let it have no travel time/projectile speed at all. "Steal an enemy's life force" would fit into the "undodgeable" part.
- Change Swallow Souls healing, it being a 10sec HoT which heals every 2secs makes no sense. Its a spammable. Make it either 1sec every 5secs or change it, so it saves the biggest heal and applies it over 10secs/every 2secs instead of refreshing it every cast.
- Speed up the Merciless Resolve proc, it having a massive travel time doesnt fit the "ranged" gameplay a magblade has.
- Fix Cloak.
- Make Lotus Fan actually an instant cast.
- Remove the cast time from Soul Harvest.
- Give the class "undodgable" attacks besides Sap Essence to counter roll dodge spammers.
- FIX CLOAK.

Dear ZOS,

Your game was so amazing. But not anymore. The lag is in pvp AND pve. The CC cooldown in pvp is nonexistent so the ability to counter much isn't really there. It doesn't matter what faction you play, you still get the same lag that makes the game unplayable. I don't know what you're doing, but I"d think with the covid-19 going on, you'd realize people are using your game to help them get through the cabin fever. I'm terribly disappointed. Not even Thornblade was this bad.

Alright, we all know that skills aren't firing, input delay is abysmal, and block canceling is completely unreliable and wonky. But i have yet to see anyone discussing a contributing factor, and certainly don't believe zos knows it is happening. I base this by the fact that they are shocked to hear there are skill delays, immediately assuming it's your out of date addons when anyone that actually plays the game can tell in 2 minutes it's on their end.

Positional dysyncs. I'm not talking about skill delays, those are obvious. Ground based AOEs take multiple inputs to fire, and that's a huge problem, but have you noticed that range of skills requiring a target seem to not be firing? Synergies will not become available while you are standing directly on the associated skill? There is 100% a dysync of player position occurring in every aspect of the game right now.

If you don't feel it, try vBRP. You die outside ground based effects, or die inside mechanics such as the bug bomb from Tames, because the server says you were standing outside the AOE. You fight the last boss and your screen randomly goes blue as if you have been touching the ghosts when you KNOW you weren't even near them. Similarly you walk directly through the center on the golden ghosts players need to pick up during the ghost explosion phase and the server says nope, you didn't walk over that ghost - please try again, maybe the fourth time passing over the center of the ghost we will decide to give credit for doing so. People are dying to the Netches when nowhere near them. On top of dealing with all of these issues, you might think "Ok, well forget score for this run, let's pop sigils to help combat the obvious bugs that are happening in here." Bad luck for you, while standing on top of sigils, the server says nope, you are actually standing 7 meters THAT way, and synergy will not be available for you to use.

My groups all have video evidence of this happening multiple times, regularly. But its not relegated just to that arena. It's everywhere.

In Pvp, whether open world, BGs or even duels, skills that require a minimum range aren't firing due to player position dysync. There are times you have to literally pass through the player to be in range for something that is a 5 meter ability. For example at times executioner feels like it has a 1 meter range right now because although on your screen you are hot on their heels, the server thinks you are about 9 meters behind the intended target.

My point is that yes, buffs, heals, ground based abilities etc are all messed up right now, but this is only part of the problem. Not only are there input delays and server communication errors for allowing skills to fire, there is also a player positioning check that is obviously not calculating properly. It's not just me, it's not just a hunch, this is widespread to every area of the game. Hell even looting chests and resource nodes are getting dysynced. The server doesn't know where you are!

ZOS needs to acknowledge this is happening to know how to fix it. It's not just input delay, it's player positioning on top of that!

Sound off if you are experiencing this as well, so they know all the factors at play with combat being clunky right now!
