Detailed Gankalorian build

This is a more detailed video going over my Gankalorian set up. The sets included are easy to get the hardest part is probably getting crystals to change the traits. I go over tge skills alot more also. Figured this may help anyone interested in playing a filthy assassin. Here are the sets:

Still a bit newer to PC gaming and not entirely sure if this how it works. In the Combat Metrics after a fight, it tells you the percent damage you did to a boss. Is that accurate? If in a 4 person group and you did say %98 damage is that right? I might be reading it wrong IDK?

Is there another ad on or a way to set CMX up where it tells you that stuff in real time? What is it? I heard there was one, but it got disabled for reasons.

Which sets should be banned from PvP?

First of all this is not a rant set.

Second, I refer mainly to no-CP and battlegrounds.

Just had a game in which 3 people on THE SAME team were running Thurvokun, and I just realized how *insert bad word here* is that set.

I know banning sets from PvP might kill build diversity, but those particular sets are just impossible to fight against, especially in gamemodes with objectives.

I wanna add even all proc sets to the list, caluurion, zaan and company which provide free damage for doing literally nothing.

I would love to see a Battle Spirit set banning especially for battlegrounds.

What do you guys think?

In the official Feedback thread almost anyone agrees, that a full premade is not a healthy way to fight against solo players. There is also a majority of players, that want to play with a friend again. I do both solo que and qued with friends for Battlegrounds equally so i get both concerns. The matchups we get at the moment are pretty terrible. Everyone gets almost instantly into battlegrounds, which results in extremly mixed teams. A completly new player has to fight with and against fully expirienced players. There is alot of frustration from expirienced players for not getting "good" teammates, as well there are alot of concerns for newer players that feel like they are getting stomped upon.

Isnt it time to check the results and see what the players wanted?

Is it time to let people play together again BUT also stop people from running full premades and stomp everything?

I think its time to test out duo Bgs mixed with solo que. With a maximum of one Duo per Group.

Here is a personal suggestion how the system could be applied and possible examples for team mixups.
  1. MMR should be based on 3 factors: Number of Battlegrounds played per type, Average Points archieved and Winrate (because the points you archieve dont always reflect how well you did contribute to your teams success)
  2. MMR should never infinitly increase just by playing Battlegrounds, people should be rated in a 1 to 4 system for example
  3. A MMR 1 player would be a new and unexpirienced player, a MMR 4 Player would be max expirienced player with alot of games played + a good winrate+ good archievement points

The calculation for Groups could look something like this:

Duoplayers Soloplayers

(4+2)*1,5+2+2= 13 your Teams added up MMR

With a MMR4 and a MMR2 player in a DUO that get matched up with two MMR2 solo players. Duos should always be weighted heavyer bc. two expirienced players could most likely win again 4 non expirienced players, which would give them the feel of getting stomped by a full premade. I think the multiplier should be between 1,5 and 1,8 to assure balanced matches and a fun expirience for all types of players.

an example for a Deathmatch composition could looks something like this:
Team 1
(2+3)*1,5+3+2= 12,5
Team 2
(3+4)*1,5+2+1= 13,5
Team 3
4+3+3+3= 13

The team without a duo group would have the highest amount of expirienced players, but would not have any coordinated duo. This would be an example for medium MMR battlegrounds. I think it would be fair if duo ques have to wait some minutes longer until they find a fitting match but that also depends on the playerpool.

A low mmr groupup could look like this:

(2+1)*1,5+1+2= 7,5

and a max mmr groupup would look something like this:

(3+4)*1,5+4+4= 18,5

the difference between those 2 is so big that a matchup between those 2 groups would never happen.

The biggest flaws of this system is, when more people duo Que then there are solo Queres, that means the duo ques will take longer then the solo que. But that would also show Zenimax that people really want to play with their friends again and they want more group Battleground options. Another factor is the Duo multiplier, If it is set too low the Duos will become to potent, if it is set to high people will get punished to hard for playing with their friends. Let me know what you think or how a possible multiplier should be set!

TLDR:
- Battlegrounds will become a mix of duo and solo players with a maximum of one duo per group
- the MMR will be rated by Winrate/Games played/Points archieved by the individuum
- The duo mmr will be multiplied by 1,5 to assure a balanced matchmaking (examples above)

This is from a PvP magblades perspective but some points can also be applied to stamblades or PvP in general.


Playing a magblade is frustrating as f****. Most of the time Im struggling what it feels like against the game itself instead of enemies/ other players skill. Im going to try to elaborate why I feel like that and what could be done, with gifs/images as examples.


First lets talk about travel time in PvP and lag.

Nothing hits. Its frustating as hell when an enemy is literally standing still on your screen but somehow "dodge" appears above their head.

You can clearly see that the guy Im fighting is standing still, so why am I getting "dodged"?

Thats because of the travel-time projectiles have, combined with PvP lag. Its especially worse on a magblade because every attack (except sap essence) can be hard countered/100% mitigated by just roll dodging. Thats not fun, its frustrating watching a guy with 5% HP just spam roll dodge and self heals and get back up to 100% HP.


Projectile speed

Now lets have a look at "Swallow Soul" - the main spammable of a magblade and compare it to "Concealed Weapon"- a melee spammable which also costs magicka and therefore used my some melee magblades.

If we look at both we can clearly see that "Swallow Soul" (compared to "Concealed Weapon") hits with a delay, add PvP lag into the calculation and the chances of "Swallow Soul" hitting someone becomes very small. Which again is nothing else but frustrating.


Cloak

Cloak is messed up. I think I dont have to say anything regarding that.
I will just leave these here.

Merciless Resolve

"Merciless Resolve" - bow proc has a massive travel time which results in it not hitting 80% of the time when cast from range.
This is again a massive issue that was obviously overlooked.

I mean do I have to say anything? Its clearly not "Instant", I can literally block-cancle it, same as "Soul Harvest" which has a 0,4sec cast time. Fix.It.

Conclusion:
The whole "magblade" identity feels and is clunky, which in return makes the gameplay frustrating as hell.

Solutions:
- Rework the whole class.
- Either make Swallow Soul undodgeable or let it have no travel time/projectile speed at all. "Steal an enemy's life force" would fit into the "undodgeable" part.
- Change Swallow Souls healing, it being a 10sec HoT which heals every 2secs makes no sense. Its a spammable. Make it either 1sec every 5secs or change it, so it saves the biggest heal and applies it over 10secs/every 2secs instead of refreshing it every cast.
- Speed up the Merciless Resolve proc, it having a massive travel time doesnt fit the "ranged" gameplay a magblade has.
- Fix Cloak.
- Make Lotus Fan actually an instant cast.
- Remove the cast time from Soul Harvest.
- Give the class "undodgable" attacks besides Sap Essence to counter roll dodge spammers.
- FIX CLOAK.

It was a close shave, but UNHALLOWED GRAVE took the cake in the final fight against Vaults of Madness and the super-secret final boss to be crowned ESO'S BEST OVERALL DUNGEON! Hooray! Huzzah! And so on!

Started playing the game in beta, and i have all character slots at level 50 and done all Vet Dungeons up to Summerset.
Have not play for a long time, but from time to time stalk the forum to see what happens.

I really feel like returning the Greymoor, but when i read on the forum i still see a lot of the stuff and people that ruined a really good game for me is still here :(

Some of the things that made me leave were the always toxic DPS race, and people always telling others that you can't do this and that without some stupid high amount of DPS.
And most people did not even agree, always some made up ideer of what were needed, and how bad you were if you did not do it like that though were right.
The DPS race is something that really define the ESO community in a really bad way.

Also if you then try to play as a tank or healer, you quickly find out that you are not really needed unless you play trails..
Playing a character/class that is not needed unless you commit your time to a guild or groupe you know, all the time, don't make me want to evolve the character and spend my time on it, if i don't get much out of playing a short time when i have the time for it.

I really like the game, and over all love the TES lore.
I feel like returning to the game.
But then again, really lose the desire for it again when reading the forum and seeing the game is still just as i left it.

Its simply sad :)

while doing Battlegrounds my wolf transformation would run out few seconds after devouring an enemy. Noticed that if i didn’t devour any enemies the timer transformation time would last longer.

Anyone know good numbers stat-wise to shoot for in No CP battlegrounds? Health, main stat, weapon/spell power, crit resist, and recovery and anything else?

I might finally try some but not sure I really want to or just looking for a fix. I didn't leave 16 man PvP to come to ESO for large scale to wind up only playing 12 man PvP. I could just search for builds but then that would take away the other thing I like about this game in making my own builds so just acceptable stats would be great.

Traveling to player houses causes infinite loading...

When I try to travel to a player house, rather than loading the character into the house, it causes the game client to enter an infinite, never-ending loading screen and never loads the character, not even after up to 15 minutes of patiently waiting.

I have tried this with multiple characters, both with addons loaded and without any addons loaded. I have tried multiple of my own houses, as well as other players' houses.

It is not 100% of the time, but more like 75%-90% of the time.

Since this has not been reported by others (as far as I could find), it apparently isn't a widespread issue and suggests it is a problem with my client.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how I can fix this? I could uninstall the PTS and reinstall it, which might work, but I'd rather not have to do that if I can avoid it.

Veteran Imperial City Prison Lord Warden - bugged

The final boss fight against the Lord Warden is bugged where the "Brace for Impact" synergy whilst falling doesn't activate. It seemed to work once or twice for a couple of the group, then stopped working for everyone causing wipes and a failure to complete the dungeon.
