This has been ESO biggest clusterflock I have ever seen, poorly thought out Vamp skill lines, updated patch to a "smoother" ESO experience and I have heard the server hamster is hooked up to a ventilator device.

Please reinstate maintenance announcements in-game

I know a lot of people make fun of the big bright yellow "The server is coming down for maintenance in X minutes" warnings, but some of us really rely on them. When you're focusing on combat or exploration or tracking down antiquities it is very easy to lose track of time, and I would've liked to not be right in the middle of excavating when the server shut down.

Is it ok to introduce cp170 gear?

Will it be ok to introduce 170cp gear, that is above gear cap, leaving gear cap at 160, essentially powering up everyone willing to farm the new gear.

Edit: Also, if there are any people that voted no but also were against updating vMA staves to their new version, please explain what's the difference.

Western Skyrim World Bosses Unplayable?

Tried several world bosses today, only a few other players and the lag was so bad...it was unplayable..abilities did not fire, everything was frozen or delayed, bosses would not take damage or die or for some reason , re-appear at full health.

All present complained of the lag that stayed with us even after we left the area..had to "/reloadui" just to be able to call and mount my steed.

One out of 4 bosses were killable...gave up on the others after repeated failures. And this is while it was not "busy" , maybe 4-5 players in the area.

Something is seriously wrong, please check it out and fix it, thanks

New Background for Character Select Screen

I'm really not a fan of having my character background match the new content. The background is pretty enough but it makes no sense to show my character in that setting because it doesn't fit them nor do they belong there. I'd really like a racial background. I had one character that had a suitable background and that was my Altmer and now its gone. Never had a good one for my Dunmer because its Bleak Rock. I saw a thread that suggested the primary residence as background. Even that would be preferable. What about giving Plus players the option to choose a character select background? I mean, give it to everyone but I know how much money is the priority for everything that happens. I don't like logging in to choose a character to play and feeling disgusted at the background.

So I figured since we're all going to be hunting down leads for the antiquities system, it makes sense to have a handy-dandy central location to see where the various leads can be found and what they're for. So with that said, if you find a lead, can you please post:

- What the item is, and its lead colour (green/blue/purple/gold/orange)
- Where and how you found it


In addition, if WHERE you found it is different from what's listed here, please post that info anyway; it will help us determine if a lead is (for instance) only found on one particular WB vs. any WB in the zone. As well, if a lead is for a PIECE of something - like the wolf mount, or one of the mythic items - please state what item it's for as well.

Can we please just take all these monumental funds from Greymoor's release, press pause, stop with the content releases and strictly just have an entire CHAPTER devoted to performance improvements? Greymoor has plenty of a grind to it. Forget the back half of the chapter, forget dungeon DLC, forget whatever plans are on the next 3 or 4 release cycles. Push it all back, stop, hear your customers and JUST WORK ON PERFORMANCE ALONE.

Please, I am begging you as a ES fan from day one of XBOX's Morrowind release, that made me FALL IN LOVE with rpgs. Please, please help this game last through the ten year mark. Right now, even with crown store, new content, etc., no chance this game can make that mark. The performance and releases are consistently worse every chapter. Things break way too often, get ignored and some of the bugs never get fixed.

Just one time. ES fans don't need more content. We are happy with what we have and would GLADLY sign up for something like this if it were put to a vote.

36 Plans missing, am I looking in the right places?

PvP: Malacath's Band of Brutality will be used by every class except for Sorcerers since it conflicts with Critical Surge.
PvE: Blood for Blood will be the main Magicka spammable except for Sorcerers since it doesn't proc Crystal Fragments.

I don't know if pets benefitting from Bloodthirsty will help enough

I know what you're thinking, "not another damn nerf so and so thread" but this is deserved, and let's back it up with straight facts.
If you've ever played PvP as of recent and fought what you know is an average to below average player, then ended up stalemating them or even dying to them in some circumstances, then they're most likely on a stamcro. Let's break down what makes this carry class so insanely strong in PvP...

The first thing you will most likely notice is their sheer tankiness. Having the 10% mitigation from spirit mender on top of slotting undo for minor protection and even throwing on potentates back bar will make them feel almost invincible. In my opinion that comes down to % mitigation being way too strong and accessible, but that's a story for another day.

The healing passives they get also adds to their tankiness... 8% when there is a negative effect on you, 2% for every bone tyrant ability, but the main culprits come down to the overtuned skills they possess. Let's start off with mortal coil. It is essentially a FREE vigor, yes it costs nothing. Which also restores stamina and gives 3% healing while slotted. It speaks for itself really. Next there is spirit mender which I mentioned before, not only is it an entire 5 piece swift, it also gives a heal over time. Deaden pain is next which is also FREE and gives major protection, the most broken buff in the game. The class also possesses a purge, which I don't mind but it is something to note. Pair all of this with s&b or brp dw and you have a truly, close to unkillable class.

Next up is their damage output, which mainly only comes down to one thing... Blastbones. While I'm all for hard hitting burst combo abilities, having an aoe major defile that can tooltip for over 20k is insanely ubsurd. No I do not want this skill gutted but when it comes down to it, major defile is way too strong of a debuff to be putting on such a hard hitting ability. Yeah healing is way too strong currently so you can argue that, but really it is the amount of off heals healers can stack on people which is the problem. Also a story for another day.

So overall, YES stamcro is insanely overperforming in the current PvP meta, a blind man could see that. But don't crucify me because I am asking for nerfs. I'm all for class balance and do not want to see something strong be gutted into oblivion like ZOS normally do. I also don't run the numbers or do spreadsheets etc. I'm simply speaking from a pure 5+ year PvP experience and playing every class inside and out. I'm sure many of you agree but this is the forums and god knows what the responses are going to be like.

Change your maintenance schedule to a time where I'm sleeping. I currently go to sleep at about 6-7am and wake up about 5-6PM.. can you schedule maintenance for somewhere in between then.. Most people are working or sleeping at 6am anyways.. Thank you.

A Separate Group Queue for BGs Would Not Work

I highly doubt that there would consistently be 12 people (3 groups of 4) queuing in the group queue to enable reasonable wait times. And even if there are 3 full groups queuing regularly, it would get boring fighting the same group game after game. Even then, one or two of those groups would likely be significantly worse than the other(s). I would expect the less powerful group(s) to stop queuing due to being beaten over and over.

Unless I'm wildly underestimating the number of people who want to just do 4 man Premade v 4 man Premade v 4 man Premade, a truly functional group-only queue seems like wishful thinking.

ZOS could create a whole new incentive structure to draw more players to the Group Queue in the hopes of getting it to function. Or they could allow duos and trios in the group queue and draw from the solo queue to fill in the gaps in some complicated fashion. But in reality, we can't hope for any change that requires significant time and work from ZOS.

Simply allowing solos and duos, instead of solos only, seems like the easiest way to appease the folks who are rightfully upset that they can't BG with friends. It can't be that hard to increase the permissible group size by one. ZOS wouldn't even have to balance the duo by modifying how matchmaking factors in the duo's MMR. The team with a duo may have an advantage, but so what? It won't be insurmountable.

Adding duos to the solo queue is an easy change that lets folks play with a friend, while still preventing unstoppable premades from hindering other players' enjoyment. Adding a group-only queue isn't a feasible solution. Change my mind.

so a friend of mine has the imperial city dlc due to it was free, but now I cant gift the 4 dlc bundle that contains osmium, imperial city, dark brotherhood and thieves guilds

any work around for this? since getting the 3 one by one is like almost 66% more in price

Okay, so there's something that I would like to put my two cents in about with Elder Scrolls Online.

Chapters. With the release of Greymoor, it seems about the right time to address this.

We now get a chapter once a year. This cycle of content release is starting to show as being a little bit of a diamond in the rough, at least to my eyes.

I was walking around Western Skyrim, and something felt off to me, probably because I have been playing a lot of Skyrim prior to release.

The sense of exploration in ESO is much less than in a normal Elder Scrolls title.

No surprise, right? It's an MMO and they have to allow exceptions and allowances, and being 1000 years prior to Skyrim some places might not exist. However, let's compare maps:

If we look at the same area of the map, there is a lot more to explore, it's a lot more open, and there's much more of a sense of exploration to achieve.

Of course, we could not expect this level of detail and scope within a chapter ever year. That would put a ridiculous strain on the devs.

So, how about they had a chapter team to release a new chapter every two years instead of every year. The cadence could go like this:

Year 1:

Q1: Smaller DLC/QOL
Q2: Small DLC/QOL
Q3: Chapter
Q4: Small DLC/Fixes

Year 2:

Q1: Smaller DLC/QOL Dungeons/trials
Q2: Small DLC/QOL
Q3: Dungeons/Trials
Q4: Small DLC/Fixes

The smaller DLC's could be small zones like previous years, dungeons etc etc. But the Chapters need to start having value like other MMO's to justify the extra price to pay on top of everything else like a sub if you pay for one.

This way, they could have more time to develop more area to explore in the chapters, bigger scope for things and add trials and dungeons and systems into the chapter too, like every other MMO on the market does.

I like Greymoor. I liked all previous chapters, but it bugs me that the Tamriel we get is a very, very scaled down version from the single player games. And of course, it has to be. They could not add in hundreds of hours of content per chapter. But even the main story, for example, FFXIV: Shadowbringers (which I also enjoy) the main story took me over 40 hours to complete. Chapter stories take around 10 hours.

Maybe this would be a good compromise? I don't know. I love ESO and I adore Tamriel, but it feels like sometimes the content is too short to fully enjoy.

Battleground compromise

For everyone that missed whats going on:
The combat team stated, that they are not planing to reintroduce group qued Battlegrounds.
"At this time, there are no immediate plans to reintroduce group queuing for PvP Battlegrounds in ESO. We are focusing on game performance improvements, and monitoring PvP Battlegrounds activity and feedback. If we do consider reintroducing group queueing for PvP Battlegrounds in the future, we’ll let everyone know."


Which to me sounds fair, since its technically hard to get a good matching system working while solo que is still possible aswell (the problem with the missing 4th person to fill a 3man team)

But what many people are asking for, me included, isn`t a full group que. Instead we just want to play with a friend again. The to me logical compromise between pure solo que and full Premade grouping, is to allow one duo-que team into every Battleground team, which will be counterbalanced by the MMR of the team they have to face (if the others are all solo player)

Not everyone will be 100% satisfied with this solution, but i think both solo-quers and group-quers can live with this. After all a compromise is about finding a solution for all sides.

What could Zenimax do to better accommodate the Role-Player community?

Personally I am not someone who plays out story arcs, waiting turns and such, but I do like to get into character when playing activities or just as I’m exploring and encountering other players.

Problem is that the chances I’ll run into another RP player in the world to be very slim. Really the only way to RP is with a guild. Otherwise there’s not much room to RP.

I really enjoy the world, lore, and writing more in ESO compared to WoW. However, in my opinion, I think Blizzard really nailed the role-play aspect of the game. Dedicated servers for role-play made the world much more immersive because everyone in the world participated.

It’s like when attending D&D or a Fantasy Renaissance Fair, when everyone you encounter acts in character it makes the experience all the more engaging.

With that said; I don’t exactly know what Zenimax could do to better support the Role-Playing community but I think as an entry in the Elder Scrolls franchise, games about role playing a character, more could be done.
