What exactly are the undodgeable skills? What about uninterruptible?

$

Spent several minutes trying to find an up to date list and failed to find one. If anyone knows about a real reference that would be great. From what I understand undodgeable includes dragon leap, destro ult, soul assault, meteor, not sure on the others.

I am not skilled at interrupting so I haven't done a good job of learning the skills it doesn't work on. I expect most things with a channel or cast time are interruptible but are there are exception right?

Please reschedule the maintenance on monday. We have public holidays in germany and everyone (well those who play ESO) wanna play and you are doing in maintenance litterally for the whole day (10am to usually 5pm european time). The people in europe are also paying/supporting this game. Why dont we get a maintenance window in the night? You earn money in europe why dont we get fitting maintenance then?

So...have to vent now by writing an angry thread and then going outside after this.
Random vet queue for the daily xp bonus, its veteran tempest island.
Everyone is atleast lvl 50 and i the tank move out.
All npcs die quickly and not a single team death ... yet.

Maormer are dying left and right and neither lighting wizard npcs or even a storm atronauch are dangerous to us.
We reach the last boss and then everything felt into pieces.
First the rather low cp dps get oneshooted by a charge attack, then the max cp dps gets charged to death. Boss is taunted by me and rarely charges us, maybe once in 30 seconds to wake up the dps from their routine. I try to revive people, but the boss charge interrupts me or a random tornado bumbs into me, cancelling the revive. The healer got the same problems when reviving them.
I slowly get annoyed by the dying dps and look at them and behold, neither the new guy or the "veteran" block or dodge. The healer is in the same health range
as them and died only once in 10 minutes. At some point one them yells at the healer for heals, but even the greatest templar healer can't heal oneshoots (and stupidty).
After around 20 deaths of both dpses each, i get kicked from the servers since morrowind killed most of the server hamsters.

I relog but the healer and max cp dps are gone. Just the low cp guy remains and smiles at me, i don't even want to ask what happened to the leavers.
I try to reinvite people and like the dps before, they die over and over again by ignoring all movements of the boss. Finally a solid warden healer with somewhat good dps joins.
The dps in the meantime, die and die over again. No amount of boss taunting can protect from a random charge which a single block can stop easily. When you finally manage to revive one of them in between boss charges and tornados, they choose the revive when the boss cast a huge red ground aoe, oneshooting them 1 second after their revive.
Finally the boss is slain by me and the warden healer and i just ask me, why do dps love the red grounds.

Doesn't the tutorial teach how to block and roll dodge? How can a cp 630 with monster helmet fail to use both?
Did we tanks with our taunting spoil them to much in boss fights where bosses lack aoe and random targetting attacks like all the previous bosses in said tempest dungeon?

A skillpoint only every 4 skyshards?

$

It says I have 86 skyshards collected on my warden. I just received a skillpoint. Well ... that's not divisible by 3. Up to 78 skyshards, everything seemed to go as normal. At 81 I did NOT get a skyshard, but only at 82. I got the last one at 86. What's going on here? Is this a bug? I should be getting skill points every 3 skyshards, right?

The only thing I can think of is that I collected all skyshards in the old areas up to 78, and only recently collected my first one in Morrowind. Since that one Morrowind skyshard, I have been collecting them in Bangkorai.

Imperial City Bookshelf Guide

This is the route I take through IC to check the bookshelves. I play EP and this may not be the most logical route for your character. I tried to show the path as clearly as I can (yay Paint!) but the maps aren't that detailed to begin with. I also took a screenshot at each bookcase to hopefully help you locate them all:)

I want to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who is contributing to this thread/project, you all rock!

This is an on-going effort to make certain that all books listed in the Eidetic Memory are accessible to all characters, so that 100% completion of the Eidetic Memory may be obtained (between DLCs and Chapters of course!)

There are a few problems that arise that cause books to become inaccessible:
1. They exist inside an area only accessible while the character has the quest. Reading these is not a requirement on the quest.
2. They are a quest item, they may start the quest and/or be read during the quest, but after the quest they have no location in the world. Some of these MUST be read in the quest inventory while on the quest in order to register.
3. Phasing. Some areas in the world change as the character progresses the story in the area and some books are only seen before the story is done.
4. Alliance restricted (this applies to a very few books that only exist within the alliance bases in Cyrodiil)
5. Other

Last but not least, Community help to locate missing books. It would be great if ZoS could confirm books the Community cannot locate are actually in the game:)

Family Reunion quest bug (spoilers I guess)

During the part of the quest where you catch up with Veya after she kills Brivan, the door to the Meeting Room bugged out on me and would not open (it was interactive but nothing would happen). Reloading did not work, I had to drop the quest and start over again from where you find her in the abandoned cellar. Once I redid the quest I realized what happened: somehow my Volatile Familiar ran ahead and had managed to aggro her before her interaction with her father (possibly through the ceiling? I've noticed a lot of weird interactions between the Volatile's shock aura and enemies on different floors getting aggro'd), and I killed her in the room before the Meeting Room, meaning Nayru was never prompted to unlock the gate. Genius pet AI strikes again...

How Morrowind Broke Impale (and likely other % skills) - Numbers Included

$
0
0
With the recent Morrowind update myself and many others have noticed that Impale has been hitting much weaker than it used to in previous patches. This likely has something to do with ZOS making most raid buffs additive with CP instead of multiplicative. Impale's tooltip reads: "Throw a magic blade with lethal precision to strike an enemy, dealing X Magic Damage. Deals 300% more damage to targets at or below 25% Health."

With Morrowind, ZOS made skills or buffs with the wording "damage done" additive with CP instead of multiplicative. This change lowered the DPS ceiling which is what ZOS was trying to do, but it seems to be affecting some skills like Impale (which also have "damage done" wording) and indirectly nerfed them by pretty large amounts. Even last patch and before that, Impale and other % damage done skills like Puncturing Sweeps have been additive with minor slayer and minor berserk (again I'm assuming this is unintended), but now with CP also being additive these skills are hitting like wet noodles.

I decided to test Impale in a few different ways (10 to be exact):

CP used: 66 Master at Arms, 56 Elfborn, 56 Elemental Expert, 13 Thaumaturge, 10 Spell Erosion, 9 Staff Expert
Gear used: 5 Julianos (light), 1 Grothdarr (heavy), 1 Ilambris (medium), 1 vMA Inferno Staff (Sharpened), for minor slayer testing 3 Moondancer jewelry with 2 spell damage enchants, for non minor slayer testing 3 Willpower jewelry with 3 spell damage enchants. All gear was Legendary with magicka enchants and divines traits.

1) gear + CP + minor berserk + minor slayer
2) gear + CP + minor slayer
3) gear + CP + minor berserk
4) gear + CP
5) gear + minor slayer + minor berserk (no CP)
6) gear + minor slayer (no CP)
7) gear + minor berserk (no CP)
8) gear (no CP)
9) no gear + minor berserk (no CP)
10) no gear (no CP)

The increased damage done NEVER equaled to 300% except for when no gear, cp, or other buffs were applied to my character. Here are the damage results:

Damage before execute, Damage during execute, % increase, damage during execute if Impale worked as stated

1) 4844, 14280, 194.8%, 19376
2) 4592, 14029, 205.5%, 18368
3) 4728, 14250, 201.4%, 18912
4) 4475, 13996, 212.8%, 17900
5) 3361, 11693, 247.9%, 13444
6) 3138, 11471, 265.6%, 12552
7) 3250, 11655, 258.6%, 13000
8) 3026, 11431, 277.8%, 12104
9) 882, 3332, 277.8%, 3528
10) 817, 3267, 299.8%, 3268

The most important scenario is mainly the 1st one, because this is what most players who raid or do dungeons will be wearing. In this scenario Impale is only giving 194.8% extra damage during execute instead of 300% and 14280/19376 or 73.7% of the advertised value.

@ZOS_GinaBruno , @ZOS_RichLambert , @Wrobel

I haven't tested this with other skills yet, but I'm assuming this would also affect Executioner, Sweeps, Beam, passive executes, etc. as long as they have (deals x% more damage).

EDIT: A good point was brought up by @Juhasow. The missing 22.2% on 8) is likely the result of the destro staff passives giving an additional 8% damage done on single target abilities.

Housing issue

I spent a lot of crowns buying the grand total island and set up my crafting area for the guild in the back room up top by the waterfalls. I spend a lot of time on this room. For some reason, the banker and merchant are not accessible each time I or other guild members come there. At times, some of the crafting tables will not work either. What I have to do, and which is tedious, is move them a bit everyone I go in or another guildie goes on so that we can access them. Is there going to be a fix for this if anyone else is having issues?

Morrowind on Xbox with no ESO+

$

I play on PC and have plus right now, and already bought Morrowind so this doesn't effect me. My wife for my birthday/Fathers Day kid's present for me the Collector's edition for Xbox. Since I don't play on Xbox no more, and my daughter started playing last week and loving it even though she is disabled and can't read. So I am thinking of giving her the disc (or what ever it is code?) so she can have a horse and pet.

So my question is, how do I do it? Does she need to use the disc all the time or is it a one time install from the disc or it's an internet download/install and you use a code that is tied to her account? Also since she doesn't have ESO+ yet or Xbox Live Gold I just want to make sure she can still play Morrowind since she can still play ESO.

Not sure why I think this is so complicated but still learning what is account wide on Xbox One (everyone can use like ESO) and what is account bound (only one account can use). So if I give her the Morrowind disc/code that would mean if I go back to Xbox ESO I would need my own copy of Morrowind as well?

Choice of Ults as NB healer

$

I usually have Veil of Blades and the resto staff ult (for the much needed burst), but I'm beginning to think that I will never use Veil over resto ult.

What ults do you have? I wonder if the Mage's Guild ult is a good pick, considering one of the morphs returns ults (so resto ult burst can still be available) and NB is primarily a DPS dealer, so building it more offensively shouldn't be a bad idea.

Or do people use resto ult at all? (And which morph do you find more useful?)

oh no not another anti-animation cancel thread

Animation cancelling's original intent only really affects total peasants that spam snipe, dark flare or hard cast frags. This mechanic allows try hards to pull better dps by blocking or bar swapping or weave certain weight attacks, it totally ruins the immersion for real RPG gamers at end game content. Please get rid of it, it's boring.

Soulshine 5 piece set bonus which increases spell damage of channeled and cast time abilities does not affect the templar cast time aoe skill hasty prayer. The tooltip healing value does not change with equipping 5th piece of soulshine, can anyone clarify?

PvP 'Zerg' Question

$

0
First off, please be nice, this is an honest question and I really don't want to read rude and/or sarcastic comments. They might make me QQ. XD

Anyways, I see a lot of players complain about zergs. Which I am assuming is a large group of players that coordinate? If this is the case, why is a zerg a bad thing? In war, there is usually a large battle with many, many people, as well as the the players that work alone (snipers, etc). In PvP, I see the same thing, zergs and the lone players.

Besides the ult bomber groups (yes, I know those are annoying, but honestly, that is pretty smart lol)..what is it that makes you feel that zergs do not belong in a war?

Thanks in advance for your reply, and please remember to keep it nice for my sensitivity. :P

Warden in PvP

$
0
0
I am a PvPer who has been playing Warden (magicka and stamina) exclusively in battlegrounds since its release. I think that warden, although a decent class, is out performed by every other class in terms of PvP and I assume PvE as well. Here are some changes that I'd like to see to warden to hopefully make it more competitive in PvP.

Animal Companions

Swarm: As many have said before, turn growing swarm into a stamina morph. Currently stamina warden has no class DoT ability and must use a bow if they want a DoT.

Falcon's Swiftness: I used Bird of Prey on my magicka warden because I really enjoyed having the major expedition, but I often found myself using it only for that purpose. Major Endurance is essentially a useless buff as pretty much every player uses potions to get the buff. While minor berserk is a strong buff, I feel that the duration is too short to make it worth casting during a fight and is better used as a damage boost for burst damage. I propose that the duration of this skill is increased by 5 seconds to help make it a bit more consistent.

Winter's Embrace

Frozen Gate: Remove its cast time. I feel like this ability could be used as a gap closer on some unique magicka warden builds kind of like a pseudo dk chains.

Frozen Armor: A good passive for any warden tanks but is a very inconsistent skill for many others since most warden builds only use frost cloak which is slotted on only one bar. Maybe change it so that when a winter's embrace skill is active resistances are increased by 1000/2000.

Piercing Cold: As many have said before, change the frost damage bonus back to physical damage.

Green Balance

Fungal Growth: I think that this skill is absolutely worthless as it is currently. I see no reason to run it over budding seeds or vigor. For its high cost and difficulty to use, it should heal a similar amount to budding seeds to make it worth using.

Living Vines: Same thing with Falcon's Swiftness. I feel that its duration is too short to be constantly recasting in a fight. Increase its duration to 15 seconds, because currently I see no reason to run this over Lotus Flower.

Nature's Gift: A good passive for magicka warden, but its pretty much useless to a stamina warden. The only green balance ability that a stamina warden might use is Secluded Grove making this passive very inconsistent for stamina. Maybe make it proc off of any heal with a 2 or 3 second CD, or make it proc off of healing an ally.

Accelerated Growth: Another passive that primarily benefits magicka warden. Maybe make it proc off of any heal and reduce its proc threshold to 30% and/or reduce its duration to 1/2 seconds. This way warden will have access to major mending when they need it most and only when it is needed.

That's about all I have to gripe about. If any of you other newfound warden mains have suggestions on how to improve warden, I'd love to hear them.

Mage warden with winterborn

$

has anyone tried this yet? would be for pve i would assume as a player would simply move out of AoE.
just theory crafting, you could run:
5 winterborn
3 willpower (or other 3 piece set vengeance leech, imperium, ancients)
2 ice hearts
1 maelstrom ice staff

ice fortress, gripping shards, wall of elements, artic blast, etc.

I'm on console so i don't have my warden yet but I'm thinking of trying to build it like an "aura-din" from Diablo 2. Pretty much have AoE that go where you go and kill everything as you run past it.

Got a house yet?

$

0
Hello everyone.

So as we all know housing has been out for a few months now, since February. There was a lot of fuss about housing for a long time, but that's completely understandable. Ever since Oblivion housing has been a part of the Elder Scrolls universe, and it continued in Skyrim and then the DLC Hearthfire for Skyrim. So housing for ESO was only a matter of time really.

Now Im curios how many have actually got a house by now, have you got more then one? Is anyone happy with the apartments?

There are 3 small apartments that are very easy to get, one quest and your done. Then most houses are a bit harder to get, either through gold or crowns. Personally I think the larger houses are expensive. Either 11 000-5 000 000 gold or anything from 2000-11000 crowns. But perhaps these prices aren't as crazy as they seem, housing does have a lot of great features.

For one you can decorate pretty much however you want to, which is very cool. And the larger houses are indeed much larger, not just an extra room. You can even turn your house into your crafting studio, have it all close and in one place which is very handy. So with all that in mind I wont complain about the price of the houses.

So considering all this Im just curios how many already have one of the larger more expensive houses, or if someone even has more then one of them.

/Kind Regards
